Thanks for the tags, @kiwiana-writes @hgejfmw-hgejhsf @indestructibleheart! The one sentence I wrote yesterday plus the handful I managed tonight are pretty much everything I’ve written in the last ten days. I’ve spent a lot of time internally screaming at myself to just open the damn doc while just staring at a wall. It’s not been great! But here are a few sentences. It’s still sunday in a few places plus they stole an hour from me, so it counts!

“And you’re sure this is the right moment?”

David watches Patrick’s throat bob as he swallows hard, then nods. “I’m sure.”

David kisses Patrick’s shoulder lightly. “Then we should probably get dressed.”

It sounds simple enough, but their nerves make getting dressed a bit of a comedy of errors. David trips and nearly goes crashing to the floor because he’s too busy staring at Patrick’s naked ass to pay attention to putting his underwear back on. Patrick accidentally tries to pull on David’s jeans, and while the thought of Patrick wearing his clothes does something funny to David’s heart, there’s no way that that pair in particular will fit over his tree-trunk thighs. Eventually, though, they manage to get all the right clothes on the right body parts with no major injuries.

Patrick takes a deep breath and puts his hand on the doorknob, but doesn’t turn it. Recognizing the fear for what it is, David rests his hands on Patrick’s shoulders.

“Hey,” he murmurs. “Whatever happens, however this goes, I’ll be here.”

I feel like I had the week from hell a year and a half ago and it's still going on. One of these days, things will get easier. I'm going to do so much writing whenever that happens.

Anyway, I am nearly ready to post something new, probably tomorrow, but maybe tonight if I have a sudden burst of energy. But in the meantime, here's seven eight sentences of indie band patrick that I don't think I've shared before:

“Hey,” he murmurs, resting a comforting hand on Patrick’s cheek. “You don’t have to tell him about us if you’re not ready.” Patrick snorts and gestures down at their naked bodies. “Ted’s a smart guy, David. I think he’ll figure it out.” “I’ll wait until he’s in the bathroom or go out the window or something.” David internally cringes at what climbing out the window would do to his Rick Owens but, to his surprise, he finds that he’d willingly sacrifice a hundred pairs for Patrick. The truth of it nearly overwhelms him.

I added a new wip this week but I’m still ruminating on it and honestly I’d really like to finish my other long fic before diving into that. But I did make some progress on the manhattan exes to lovers fic and it’s getting close(r) to being done. So here’s some of that!

“It’s nice to meet you.” Ken’s hands are soft, just like David’s used to be. Don’t go there.

Patrick’s too polite to turn Ken down, so he says, “Can I get you a drink?”

The thing is, under any other circumstances, Ken would be a catch. He’s cute and his tight shirt shows off a great body, which, Patrick learns, is the result of a combination of hiking and yoga. He’s smart and funny, and his cheeky barbs match pace with Patrick’s own gentle teasing. If they’d met a year ago, Patrick could see himself settling down with Ken, going on morning hikes together.

When the countdown starts, Ken’s enthusiasm is infectious and Patrick joins in, and when Ken leans in to kiss him as the clock strikes midnight, Patrick can’t think of a single good reason not to let him.

I downloaded Stimuwrite a few hours ago and have managed to write 500 words in the last hour and a half (which I know isn't a lot for some people but is a lot for me lately) so I feel like I need to put in a plug for it. I definitely underestimated how much dopamine I would get from getting a head exploding emoji when I was really in the groove. It's like I was getting a good grade in writing porn!

Anyway, this is not those 500 words. Those were from a PWP that I wanted to finish this weekend and I don't think that's happening. These are some sentences for indie band patrick that I wrote instead of sleeping earlier which...also are about to be porn lol.

“Why, Mr. Brewer,” David smirks, “did you think you were going to get lucky tonight?” “I mean, I hoped so.” Patrick’s grin is cheeky and a little bit shy.  David brings his mouth directly to Patrick’s ear, licking carefully around the shell of it before murmuring, “I’m a sure thing.” Patrick’s knees buckle and a wounded sound escapes from his mouth. David gets an arm around him and eases him back to sitting on the piano bench, then drops to his knees between Patrick’s legs.  “Fuck, you’re beautiful,” Patrick groans.  David looks up at him, hands resting on his thighs. It’s a bliss like he’s never known to see Patrick looking down at him with such adoration. The feeling is too big to name, and David doesn’t want it to end.
