...Is Luxord Yozora's dad?

I was rewatching the old Versus XIII trailers, and I realized a lot when they got to the 2011 trailer, where the scene from KH3 remind is most clearly recreated.

The first thing I realized immediately is that, the line of Noctis's driver is basically the same in terms of meaning as what Yozora's driver says with Luxord's voice. "Impressive, is it not"? He wants Noctis to look out the window and see. The Shinjuku government building. Which is now, in this fictional setting, a royal palace, a citadel.

Its still the seat of power it is in real Japan, but. Now there's actually literally a seat. A throne.

In KH3, Luxord doesn't call Yozora "prince" before that, but. I didn't realize the similarity of the lines afterwards.

But, in the same trailer, after the scene with Noctis and Stella, at about 17 minutes and 30 seconds in that video, it shows Noctis's father, on his throne, and it says he'll be the last king, and I realized that. He looks the same as the driver? It's hard to tell, we don't get a close up on him at the same angle, and. I don't have any photoshop or image editing skills, so if any tumblr users could play with jpegs like dolls, to make a better comparison, that would help.

For people who only know Final Fantasy XV, this might be confusing because he doesn't look like Regis in that version, but. Regis actually got redesigned between Versus XIII and XV. I also don't know if he was named Regis, but. When they changed Versus into XV, Nomura says he redesigned Stella, and then when Tabata took over, they changed Stella's name to Luna, because there was a different story role.

In Versus XIII, the kings of Lucis were more like. A yakuza family. So Noctis's dad looked like. A mob boss. Slicked back hair and a dark suit. In XV, the kingdom of Lucis was more straightforwardly noble, politically, so he got changed to look more like a refined, elder statesman. Gray hair, a cape.

And, Luxord Kingdom Hearts doesn't look much like. Any version of Regis's design. Aside from having facial hair. And we see Yozora's driver has blond hair and. That is definitely Robin Atkin Downes doing the British accent he does for Luxord.

But. If the scene being recreated where Luxord drives Yozora is one where Noctis was being driven by his dad. Does that mean that. If Yozora is playing Noctis's role, that Luxord is playing. Regis's role?

...This is all moot if the driver for Noctis isn't actually Regis, I guess. But it looks so similar to me, and it's hard for me to tell.

The driver in Versus seems sorta playful and amused by Noctis's comment about the invasion, and "Noctis Oji" isn't the most respectful way to talk to a prince. There's no "sama" implying he's the driver's superior.

Noctis and Regis supposedly have a playful relationship, even in that version, so. I mean, maybe. Or maybe I'm reading too much into the facial expressions.

The car looks like the Regalia, which is Regis's car in XV, though my understanding is that the car got more important later, after Nomura left. Maybe it was just a car at this point.

The person Regis talks to later is probably Ravus/Lupis, who supposedly in the Versus version was chosen by a crystal/is a L'Cie, and wears a white sheet as a shroud. He's sick or whatever, and also maybe jealous of the Lucis family and working for Niflheim like Ravus in XV, unclear. But I don't think he's talking to Noctis, and telling him directly he'll never be king.

Hes not going to let Noctis be king, but it's supposedly an act of love.

...I don't know what it means for Luxord's character, if he's actually a king, or. I dunno, I guess a General or. An Admiral? A captain? If he's the superior of a. "Commander".

But looking at that trailer. It's interesting, that there's details, and how they might line up with the recreation in KH.

Luna stood there, blood dripping down her face and her side; staining her pristine white robe. The new queen stood before a large ghastly creature, with 5 heads and 10 arms. This, 'thing', was a mix mash of different souls. Something she commonly fought against. However, this one was stronger than the others. As she struggled to stand tall, Luna's vision became blurred. The L'cie wasn't sure if it was from the blood loss or from the pain. -rogueoracle

       The creature itself almost put the King in a state of shock, being a demon similar to the one that attacked him at a young age. His own fear didn’t matter now though. Having his beloved covered in her own blood before him sent shivers down his spine. So much anger.. pain.. overwhelmed with the emotions that he let harm come to her.

 ❝ Stand back. ❞ He called out to his guards. He ordered them to take care of Luna as soon as possible while he faced the creatures. Eyes strained red as he let his weapons form around him without lifting a finger. The end of this horrid demon would come with no remorse, for the regret in his heart had already cut deep.

A great way to put himself on the radar, when he should be in /hiding/ with his current wanted state. But from the looks of it, the woman doesn't seem hostile. Maybe she can help him out while he's briefly here. ❝ You don't happen to see a kid about yay tall? Or a woman with rose-colored hair and a habit of punching things? ❞

Luna’s blood ran cold. Had he spotted her brand? She’d worn a long-sleeved dress to hide the mark on her shoulder---but perhaps he;d witness her healing that man just now. That had to be it. 

Shamefaced, she dipped a nod, praying this giant of a man wasn’t about to turn hostile. 

“I haven’t seen a boy, but a woman matching that description was here not long since. I think she called herself Claire?”

Cloud and Aerith and the Recurring Patterns in Final Fantasy Romances

Final Fantasy romances have multiple patterns that are recurring across the series. These patterns which are shown below are not solid evidence that proves the romances are official since each Final Fantasy is a separate story; however, there is a misconception that Clerith is not a romantic pairing and that Cloti is in fact the canon couple from FFVII along with Zerith which was canon in the past. However, as one can see below Clerith in fact also shares promises, is a warrior/mage pairing, share prominent moments below the starry night sky and stars as well as the moon and have officially been shown to share revelations of mutual feelings from Square Enix’s official Ultimanias alongside the other canon FF couples that also have these same patterns. Enjoy the list!

Promises

Zack and Aerith- Taking Aerith to see the sky with him, going to sell flowers under the sky together, returning to see her

Zack: I have an idea! One day, I’ll take you to see a beautiful sky, the real sky. It’s not frightening at all. I know you’re gonna love it.

Snow and Serah- Promising to stand by her forever (and The Promise couple theme lyrics)

Stars and night sky

FFIV- Cecil and Rosa’s night conversation while the moon is clearly visible and is in view in his room and Edward and Anna’s Kaipo night talk where there is a glimpse of the moon on the water.

FFVI- Maria’s lyrics in the Opera including the Aria di Mezzo Carattere translated literally from the Japanese directly mention shooting stars which are used in Final Fantasy to symbolize promises  

FFVII – Cloud and Aerith’s night date with fireworks, the moon and clouds, Cait Sith’s fortune of Cloud and Aerith’s matching stars, Maiden Who Travels the Planet/Hoshi wo Meguru Otome (星を巡る乙女) scene when Aerith remembers her Cosmo Canyon conversation around the fire with Cloud about her Cetra heritage and her feelings of loneliness for being the last of her race, and a visual callback through a panning shot across the stars to Aerith right before the game officially ends

FFVIII- At the SeeD inauguration ball, right before Squall meets the mysterious Rinoa Heartilly for the first time, a shooting star appears by the large prominent Moon, Rinoa and Squall’s dance to Waltz of the Moon with fireworks, a shooting star passes by when Rinoa stands on the baloney as she looks into the sky, Squall walks up to meet her on the baloney next to where the SeeD ball was held and he smiles before kissing her as Balamb Garden flies off into the night after which there is a beautiful sighting of the Moon, and there is one last visual callback through a panning shot across the stars to Rinoa before the game officially ends

FFIX- Marcus’s lines where he is waiting for his love Cornelia who has not appeared yet to elope with him by ship at dawn show the night sky and the twin moons of Gaia and Terra are visible. Marcus implores the twin moons to grant his wish, which we find out is that of reuniting with his love. This occurs when the actor playing Marcus removes his black cloak, revealing himself to be Zidane, and Garnet joyously rushes through the crowd to reunite with him on the stage. This revelation occurs when Tantalus returns to perform I Want to Be Your Canary in Alexandria for Queen Garnet approximately one year after the final battle  

FFX- Her faith in Yevon shaken after she and her Guardians are arrested and put on trial by the Maesters of Yevon for treason, branded traitors of Yevon for killing Seymour and imprisoned in the Via Purifico, when the party reunites after escaping they go to the Macalania Woods. Yuna goes off to the spring to be alone and Tidus goes after her, having discovered the truth behind the Final Summoning from Rikku that the Final Aeon needed to defeat Sin not only kills Sin, but the summoner as well, meaning Yuna will die if she goes through with her pilgrimage, apologizes for his eagerness to defeat Sin and talking how they would visit his Zanarkand, thinking he only made her sad but Yuna assures him he had made her happy. Tidus attempts to convince Yuna to abandon her pilgrimage and stay with him, and though Yuna contemplates and considers quitting, she finds herself unable to abandon her duty to Spira and bursts into tears. Tidus comforts her and they share a kiss in the Macalania spring under a full moon and dreamy underwater scene while the theme song for Final Fantasy X, Suteki da ne whose lyrics refer to the stars and the moon plays in the background. She resolves to go on, with Tidus promising he will always remain by her side

FFXIII- After getting engaged, Snow and Serah’s take a ride on flying vehicle on their night date with fireworks all around them and eventually kiss. The date is weighed down by the emotions of Serah’s fate to turn into a l'Cie. Serah is immediately comforted by Snow’s vow of eternal love to stand by her and get married no matter what happens. As Snow and Serah finish their date, there is a sighting of stars as they ride their flying vehicle into the night sky. The theme song of FFXIII Eternal Love which plays while Snow and Serah are on their date at the fireworks festival has lyrics that also refer to the night sky

FFXV- Noctis and Luna have an official artwork from the Piano Collections in which the moon and night sky are clearly visible and in view while the couple walk on a path alongside a lake. While there are no stars, there is instead a glimpse of the moon on the water. In addition, Noctis and Luna’s names have connections to night sky. The theme song of FFXV Stand by Me has lyrics that also refer to the night and the moon which are perfectly representative of the game as the land does actually go dark after Luna’s death as the last Oracle

A rant about FFXV (Spoilers duh)

Okay so I just need to rant about this game for a minute. Don't get me wrong I loved the game. But honestly it feels like after waiting 10 years they only spent 10 days thinking of the plot. It was originally supposed to be Final Fantasy Versus XIII which FFXV is basically FFXII Part 4 with the crystal and oracle and Prompto basically being branded a L'cie and Lunafreya's brother getting turned into a Ceith at the end lol. I watched some channels do an "Everything Wrong with FFXV" and Honest Trailers did and honest trailer of the game which I highly suggest you check out. First of all, what is this game about? Simply a bunch of bros hanging out. Yep. So the king sends you off on a journey with your three friends in a convertible to go meet Lunafreya in what's enenmy territory and on another continent no less. That they end up taking a boat and train to so why take a car anyways? Half the game you become side tracked with bounty hunts and treasure hunts for random strangers for 8 chapters and forget what you're even supposed to be doing. Which is the new objective is get to Crown City because your dad died and you're the new King. So you have to visit these lost tombs and get the kings power right? Well not exactly. You only visit like 3 of these tombs in the main quest and some are only found when doing side quests. Hell there's even a tomb that's blocked off for the entirety of the game. So there's really no point in going to these Tombs when Noctis gets the power anyways just by putting on the ring Lunafreya gives him to defeat that watergod. You end up getting all the swords power which you didn't even collect in the tombs (so that story line is pointless) and you hover in mid air while attacking the enemy with all the Kings sword power. Again, what's the point of going to like 3 tombs if you get this power by putting on a ring? It seems to me like FFXV side quests are better than the actual main quest and story line itself. Honestly I would be fine with just the side quests and Chocobo festival and DLC's. The main quest itself is so confusing and rushed it seems they changed it last minute or literally just came up with it just because they wanted their game to be more about just bros on the road. Which in the end would've been better if it WAS just bros on the road. I'd play it again and never finish Chapter 8 because all 8 chapter are basically fun sidequests. Once you move on past chapter 8 they rush into a story line that seems really under developed like someone dreamt about it and decided, "let's do this in the game." And even you rush through all 15 chapters without doing side quests first of all you probably won't be leveled up enough to fight anyone but most importantly you wouldnt care about the main characters. There's a touching motel scene where Prompto tells Noctis his true feelings about how he feels and his part in the friendship and how he's not strong enough. Here you can have Noctis tell Prompto he IS strong enough and you value his friendship. Its a touching moment you won't get if you rush through the game and never sleep at a motel. You miss out on tour opportunities and chocobo races and the side quests really help you fall in love with these characters. No one even ships Luna and Noctis because okay they knew each other for like the first 6 years of their life, now they're engaged but its arranged and they haven't seen each other since they were kids so its not like there's a love connection there. Hell everyone ships Noctis and Iris because they actually hang out and know each other. That's why I'm starting to think they killed off Luna so Noct could be with Iris. But then the ending you see Noctis with Luna all happily married like how??? You haven't seen her in 12 years you guys communicate through a dog and a notebook you didn't once call or text her how could you even have feelings for her. Because you have a touching moment when you were 6? It was just stupid. It wasn't well thought out and was rushed. Something they threw together last minute because they just wanted to release the game already. Basically I'm just really disappointed in the main story plot. It could've been avoided honestly I didn't even want a main story plot. I think I speak for more than myself here when I say my favourite parts of the game were the small things. Tours, fishing, chocobo races, I get it though how in the end its a tail of friendship and they bonded on this journey. But Noctis slept in crystal for 10 years (FFXIII plot) and they didn't even grow old together which was sad to know. They did die they didn't die who knows. I just couldn't care less about the main plot. What was this game about? How would you describe it? "A bunch of bros on the road" is what Pewdiepie said. And he isn't wrong. The main plot isn't really there? What was the point? Why was Ardyn even mad, bro? So he was Noct's uncle and wanted to be King but by the end of the game there's no one alive. Who's there to be King of? 😂 honestly its like FFXIII chaos broke loose there's demons everywhere and people are dying. And Ardyn is like "I want to be King" like lmao go ahead no ones alive anyways. Just like what was the point? Okay so Noctis kills Ardyn in the end and what happens? Do all the demons disappear and its a happy light filled world again? There was no point in anything...what do you think? For me personally summing this all up . . . . . long rant short, the main plot and story line sucked ass and it was rushed and stupid and didn't make sense. But the side quests were super fun and amazing and made me fall in love with the characters. I'm super excited for the DLC's it seems like more fun side shit to make you love the characters even more. Overall I'd give the game a rating of 5/10 based off the main plot. 10/10 for main character development. But Lunafreya's role was so insignificant and small she gets a 1/10. 2/10 for dying.

Oh crap, you know why Noct was in a coma for weeks after the Leviathan Incident? It wasn't because he'd kicked a gods ass-- It was because he had fucking DIED and Luna Reraised him and forced a partial Knights Of The Round (aka Lucii) summon on him, powered by the old Kings-- that was no ordinary Armiger, that was part of the one that Noct uses during the final battle against Ardyn! (it's probably a good thing he didnt have the Ring with Him at that particular moment...)

I absolutely hated that scene at the end, and the fact that no one in the game, including his closest friends realized the implications that it was an ARRANGED MARRIAGE. Neither of them have a choice in the matter! Noctis himself always acts reluctant and distant when the wedding is mentioned, yet despite this, everyone in the party continues to tease and pester and make fun of him for it! And then, after Altissia, after making it such a big deal that, yeah, the two of you totally need to get married still, Gladio has the gall to rant and rave that Noctis is greiving????? It's obvious to me that Noct and Luna care about each other a great deal, but none of it is romantic, and the both of them know that the marriage was a sham, especially when the Empires actions showed it was meant to be a cosmic joke all along designed to hurt them and motivate them to fulfill their callings *Realizes significance of the ending scene* *dawning horror* Oooohhhh myyyy godddssss they included that scene because it was //scripted// by the gods themselves. That was their "reward" for being forced along their paths. EOS​ ​is​ ​set​ ​in​ ​an​ ​AU​ ​of​ ​FNC,​ ​​ ​with​ ​all​ ​the​ ​major​ ​players​ ​but​ ​using​ ​different​ ​terms​ ​and​ ​names.​ ​It's closer​ ​to​ ​Type-0​ ​than​ ​it​ ​is​ ​FFXIII.   Ravus​ ​+​ ​Luna​ ​are​ ​both​ ​canonical​ ​"l'Cie"​ ​in​ ​this​ ​universe,​ ​(though​ ​in​ ​my​ ​fic​ ​that​ ​term​ ​is​ ​going​ ​to have​ ​a​ ​very​ ​different​ ​meaning);​ ​they​ ​both​ ​canonically​ ​have​ ​a​ ​calling,​ ​and​ ​what​ ​do​ ​you​ ​know?? Calling=​ ​Focus.

Regis,​ ​on​ ​the​ ​other​ ​hand,​ ​HAS​ ​a​ ​choice.​ ​He​ ​has​ ​ALWAYS​ ​had​ ​a​ ​choice.​ ​He​ ​is​ ​Dumbledore because​ ​he​ ​has​ ​known​ ​since​ ​Noctis​ ​was​ ​five​ ​years​ ​old​ ​that​ ​his​ ​son​ ​was​ ​the​ ​True​ ​King.​ ​So, knowing​ ​his​ ​son​ ​was​ ​destined​ ​to​ ​die,​ ​Regis​ ​deliberately​ ​distances​ ​himself​ ​from​ ​his​ ​son,​ ​trying not​ ​to​ ​care--​ ​and​ ​then​ ​comes​ ​the​ ​accident​ ​with​ ​the​ ​Marilith​ ​and​ ​little​ ​Noct​ ​nearly​ ​dying​ ​and​ ​Regis is​ ​like​ ​'oh​ ​FUCK​ ​I​ ​STILL​ ​CARE​ ​ABOUT​ ​HIM​ ​AGHHHH'​ ​so​ ​his​ ​attitude​ ​changes​ ​a​ ​little​ ​bit,​ ​he gives​ ​Noct​ ​that​ ​Carbuncle​ ​figurine​ ​((hahahahaha​ ​even​ ​though​ ​he​ ​doesn't​ ​know​ ​the​ ​half​ ​of​ ​it)) and​ ​interacts​ ​with​ ​him​ ​a​ ​bit​ ​more​ ​maybe​ ​but​ ​he's​ ​still​ ​decides​ ​to​ ​go​ ​ahead​ ​with​ ​the​ ​gods'​ ​plan and​ ​in​ ​Kingaglaive​ ​even​ ​though​ ​he​ ​100%​ ​knows​ ​what​ ​Nifleheim​ ​is​ ​planning​ ​he​ ​goes​ ​along​ ​with it​ ​and​ ​literally​ ​and​ ​deliberately​ ​sacrifices​ ​the​ ​whole​ ​fucking​ ​country​ ​to​ ​motivate​ ​Noct.​ ​Literally​ ​just rewatch​ ​that​ ​scene​ ​after​ ​Glauca​ ​cuts​ ​off​ ​Regis's​ ​fingers​ ​with​ ​Nyx​ ​and​ ​Luna​ ​in​ ​the​ ​elevator.​ ​That entire​ ​scene​ ​right​ ​there​ ​?​ ​Regis​ ​has​ ​a​ ​choice,​ ​but​ ​Luna​ ​does​ ​not.​ ​At​ ​least,​ ​not​ ​yet​ ​she​ ​doesn't >=} 

Etro​ ​is​ ​still​ ​the​ ​patron​ ​goddess​ ​of​ ​Lucis,​ ​though​ ​literally​ ​no​ ​one​ ​remembers​ ​that​ ​or​ ​knows​ ​who she​ ​is​ ​they​ ​just​ ​know​ ​that​ ​they​ ​have​ ​this​ ​cool​ ​painting​ ​in​ ​a​ ​fish​ ​tank​ ​and​ ​all​ ​have​ ​this​ ​weird affinity​ ​for​ ​skulls​ ​and​ ​dark​ ​colors​ ​that​ ​not​ ​one​ ​puts​ ​any​ ​significance​ ​to.  

The​ ​only​ ​actual​ ​Messenger​ ​of​ ​the​ ​gods​ ​we​ ​meet​ ​(aside​ ​from​ ​Pryna​ ​and​ ​Umbra,​ ​who​ ​are​ ​never revealed​ ​aloud)​ ​is​ ​Carbuncle,​ ​and​ ​that's​ ​going​ ​to​ ​play​ ​a​ ​big​ ​role 

That​ ​whole​ ​CGI​ ​underwater​ ​scene​ ​wasn't​ ​Luna.​ ​It​ ​just​ ​wasn't.​ ​I​ ​refuse​ ​to​ ​accept​ ​it.​ ​That​ ​was​ ​not her,​ ​she​ ​did​ ​not​ ​say​ ​any​ ​of​ ​that​ ​shit,​ ​it​ ​was​ ​just​ ​yet​ ​another​ ​manipulation​ ​sent​ ​by​ ​the​ ​gods. 

Gladio​ ​can​ ​go​ ​fuck​ ​himself.​ ​They​ ​say​ ​Ardyn​ ​is​ ​motivated​ ​primarily​ ​by​ ​spite​ ​and​ ​hatred​ ​but honestly​ ​that's​ ​just​ ​fucking​ ​Gladio.​ ​He​ ​should​ ​never​ ​have​ ​gotten​ ​away​ ​with​ ​all​ ​the​ ​shit​ ​he​ ​pulled with no consequences whatsoever

Prompto has NOT known all along. Honestly. I mean are we really supposed to believe that? No, Ardyn has just fucked with him so much by that point that Prompto is convinced he's been lying to everyone all his life. Like, maybe he knew there was something different about himself, maybe he sensed something was off but he could never quite put his finger on it. But like, trying to make us believe he's been hiding this all along? nah. Nahhhh. Ardyn was absolutely wasted as a character. he could have been so cool. like, he’s still cool and I love this piece of shit asshole, but he could have been much cooler as a villain. He’s going to get actual character development in my thing which will eventually lead to him being on Noct & Luna’s side against the gods, or at the very least in the mindset of ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend’ ( note: Luna and Noct get to him before he does all of this ‘we personally hate you because you killed x and x’ shit, Luna as early as before Insomnia falls)Hmmmm, there were some other things, but i cannot for the life of me remember what else it was.
