Jude had gone out, looking for his brother after their fight, but he never expected to find what he found.

Jude: what did you do...

Jamie: Jude, please, I didn't want to... please, help me

Jude: you didn't want to!? You attacked Lèonie, she was our friend!

Jamie had never seen that expression on Jude's face. He knew he had fucked up and, standing in front of his twin with Lèonie's body between them, desperate and full of guilt, he did the only thing he could think of: run away.

Jude: Jamie! Don't you dare run away, come back!

While Jude ran after his brother, Lèonie, lying on the train station's floor, opened her eyes and saw Jamie disappear, leaving her there.

Jamie Legacy was gone, and he had broken his promise to her.

Jamie hugged Lèonie so she didn't see him when he turned into his dark form.

Jamie: you have such a beautiful neck...

Lèonie: shut up and do it already!

Jamie: as you wish

Then, he sunk his fangs into Lèonie's neck and started drinking.

Jamie had never tasted anything like that before. Lèonie's blood was intoxicating and he continued drinking, embracing her tightly and more out of control the more her blood filled him.

The first one to notice something was wrong was Lèonie herself.

Lèonie: Jamie, stop!

But he wasn't listening. The only thing in his mind was his thirst and the taste of her, and he continued drinking while she felt weaker and weaker.

Lèonie: Ja... mie... st... stop...

Jamie only came to his senses when he felt her body slipping from his arms and he had to grab her before she fell to the floor.

Because, none of them knew it, but Jamie didn't have the ability to create other vampires.

Like every time he was in Lèonie's presence, Jamie felt his worries and anger disappearing and leaving him calm and settled.

Jamie: Lèo...

Lèonie: hi, I like your hair

Jamie: and I like your smell

Lèonie: but I didn't put on perfume or anything, I smell like always...

Jamie: exactly!

Lèonie giggled and released him, looking at him in curiosity.

Lèonie: I thought the plan was to go out partying

Jamie: yeah... sorry for changing the plan

Lèonie: don't worry, are you ok?

Jamie: now, I am

Jamie was waiting for Lèonie at the train station, trying to fight the cramps caused by his thirst, that was increasing by the hours.

Lèonie: ... gotcha!

Jamie: !!!

Lèonie: will it hurt?

Jamie: I don't know... but I promise that I will try to make it as painless as possible for you... trust me, please

Then, Jamie kissed her full on the lips, trying to pour all his feelings for her in that kiss, and Lèonie felt the last bits of her resolve crumbling down and her doubts vanishing.

She wanted to be with Jamie and, if her humanity was the price to pay for it, then so be it.

Lèonie: ok, you can turn me

When she said those words, Jamie's expression changed and a strange glint appeared in his eyes. Smiling, he delicately grabbed her wrist and brought it to his lips.

Jamie: can I bite you here?

Overwhelmed by the intensity of Jamie's eyes, Lèonie stared down.

Lèonie: no... I don't wanna see it

Jamie: ok...

Lèonie: I don't like that answer, tell me what happened

Jamie: it's nothing... just a fight with my family

Lèonie: what!? Why!?

Frustrated again, Jamie turned away from her.

Jamie: they just don't care about me, Lèo! They always preferred Jude, and today they proved it to me!

Lèonie didn't believe that Jamie's parents didn't care about him, but she knew it was impossible to reason with Jamie when he was in that state.

She looked at him with pity, while he continued rambling.

Jamie: the only one in my family who cares about me is my grandmother! I want to go to Forgotten Hollow to live with her... and I want you to come with me

Lèonie: what!?

Lèonie scoffed and looked down, suddenly very sad.

Lèonie: I can't go with you, Jamie

Jamie: why not?

Lèonie: because I am a mere human, maybe?

Jamie: but I will protect you!

Lèonie: come on, Jamie...

Suddenly, an idea appeared in Jamie's head and he smiled.

Jamie: wait, I think there is another option

Jamie: Lèo!? No, nononono, Lèo, wake up!

Jamie called her name and shook her desperately, trying to wake her up, to no avail.

Then, he realized what he had done, and let out a scream of anguish like a wounded animal.

Jamie had fucked up, and now Lèonie was gone.

Jamie: Lèo... Lèonie, please... I'm sorry, I'm so sorry... please, wake up...

Of course, things could always go worse...

Jude: Jamie!?

Jamie: Jude...

In that moment, it was so clear that Jamie wondered how he had not thought about it before.

It was the perfect solution.

Jamie: you can come with me... if I turn you into a vampire

Lèonie: what?

Jamie: think about it, we could be together forever, without anyone bothering us or telling us what to do

Lèonie: but what about our families?

Lèonie lived with her adoptive mother and three elders in the Senbamachi. They were not her biological family, but she was content living with them.

Jamie: screw our families! We don't need them!

Lèonie wasn't truly convinced but, at the same time, she couldn't help but feel a little excited about the idea.

Then, Jamie said two words.

Jamie: Lèo, please...

One afternoon after school, while Jamie and Lèonie were playing in the treehouse and he accompanied them reading his new book, Jude took a look around and admired the scenery surrounding them.

He got so inspired by everything he saw that he ran inside and asked for permission to use his father’s typewriter.

He wrote down everything that came to his mind and, in that moment, he decided his future career path.

Jude Legacy was going to be a writer.

The only one who had his book open in front of him was Jude, trying desperately to make the other two listen to him.

Jamie: bro, you are so boooring

Jude: come on, guys! We have to improve our grades if we want to get into a distinguished degree!

Hearing that, Jamie and Lèonie bursted out laughing.

Jamie: who said I wanted to go to Britechester?

Jude: what!? Then how are you gonna prosper if you don't go to University!?

Jamie let out a scoff, trying to look nonchalant but feeling totally the opposite of that. He was not Jude, with his clear goals and his pristine personality and privileged mind; no one expected anything from him.

Jamie: whatever... hey, cutie, wanna get out of here?

Covering a giggle with her hand, Lèonie nodded.

Lèonie: yes, please!

Both got up and walked out of the kitchen, ignoring poor Jude, who was trying to stop them.

Jude: you two, come back!! Don't come back crying when the teacher calls mom, Jamie!

Left alone, Jude continued to do his homework while the couple went upstairs and engaged in more entertaining activities.

Jude: they better not be doing what I think... that's my room too...

Sadly for him, they were.

Jamie was a man on a mission and decided to do what he had wanted to do since that morning, grabbing Lèonie's present from his inventory.

Lèonie: what is this!?

Jamie: a present for you, my favourite friend in the whole simverse!

Lèonie squealed when she opened the present and saw the necklace, putting it on immediately.

Lèonie: oh my, I love it!

Jamie: you look so pretty...

Instead of answering, Lèonie jumped towards a surprised Jamie, who only had time to grab her waist before she was kissing him full on the lips.
