Tumblr media
This user is making callout posts without sources, trying to start drama.
When asked to backup their claims they say "are you calling me a liar?" "Just trust me bro" "are you also racist?"
Blocked me when I reminded them of the facts putting more context to the drama they misremembered.
Where is the google doc with sources @kyra45 ? Where are the out of context screen shots? This is amateur hater behavior!
We used to be proper website with proper drama and proper hategame! You can't just make callout post based on what you remeber of a past drama!
We need material! We need panache!
This is the autism website, you need to do the work if you wanna be taken seriously!

What do you mean people don’t know tumblr already had daily limits on posts and stuff. Are you telling me people on this hellsite have never known the limits of this place and now suddenly it’s a problem when it’s existed for years?

A reminder to continue making sure that the brand new accounts asking you for money are legitimate blogs. There are currently scammers who pretend to be Palestinians needing mutual aid and all the content of their posts are stolen off real fundraisers from other sites. Their link is never the real fundraiser they stole content from.
Please try to search the text of the accounts if they’re only a few days old. These scammers often use a pfp that is the same pic from the fundraiser they take content off of.
Otherwise, there are legitimate charities and fundraisers that are verified outside of freshly made blogs in your askbox. Please support them if you are unsure about those who send you asks.

Please don’t send me asks for non-pet related fundraisers or tag me in posts that aren’t pet-related fundraisers. This blog is strictly pet fundraisers and has always been; my other blog @kyra45-helping-others shares general fundraisers.

Please block gaza-scam-alerts. The account is not a real scam busting blog, they are sharing posts that accuse all Palestinian gfms of being scams if you take a glance. Don’t harass/etc. Just block.
Don’t trust any ‘scam alerts’ they might make.

If you were previously verified by gazavetters, please seek out a different verification account as currently they’ve deleted all their posts + the document they was using to list accounts they verified.
(If you were previously verified by gazavetters, please seek out a different verification account as currently they’ve deleted all their posts + the document they was using to list accounts they verified.)
I know some accounts follow me that verify fundraisers or know some of them, so please spread the word about the current situation since a lot of gfm blogs used them to get verified and now that’s all deleted.
5:40pm update
From what I can gather from a reblog on the original post, the blogs runner has become upset that some blogs are resorting to unnecessary tactics to raise funds while trying to raise money theirself. The account was ran by multiple accounts, but it seems the main one has decided to cut ties with verifying all gfms and will leave the blog to be though I’m unsure what will happen to their list.
The blogs runner was upset that it was taking so long for gfms to be verified, so they created the account in order to speed up the process and recently realized they didn’t agree with what some accounts have done to get attention from popular blogs. (Or something like that.)
All in all, if you was verified by them I would suggest unfortunately still seek verification from other blogs due to this one now shutting down it seems. But please don’t harass the original blog owner he is going through a lot as is. Any existing verification is still acceptable, but any posts around it are gone leaving just the document itself which is why I suggest getting another verification done so you’ll have an extra one on hand.
This does NOT mean accounts verified by them were scammers; Do not take this as a sign of that. It’s just an unfortunate situation being cleared up and measures taken to ensure this don’t happen again at some point.
From what I’ve seen, the document has been restored again.

“Gfm doesn’t operate in Palestine therefore….”
It doesn’t operate in other places too if people would take time to read it instead of constantly citing this when seeing an ask from a gfm account. People will ignore the other countries to point to one of them and call it a day.
Don’t listen to people/anons who comment like this on your posts. They’re being ignorant on purpose.
Family/friends can do what they need to. That’s a fact that gets waved away and dismissed in order to continuously spread the false information that every gfm ask you get is a bot.
Gfm doesn’t operate in multiple places so consistently stating just one is ignoring what else is there.

It’s a new year so here’s a start of the year reminder.
badjokesbyjeff made racist jokes and also called all Palestine gfms a scam. Additionally, the jokes are often just stolen from other places without any credit/reference to the source material. The posts this account made have been deleted, but can be found if you look around web archive. No apology has ever been given and posts resumed after some time had passed. Also harassed el-shab-hussein in the since deleted posts.
writing-prompt-s also called all Palestine gfms a scam and made several “prompts” based around the claim such as “your running a scam ring that’s been found out by scam busters” (presumably a jab at the people who bust scams?). Regardless, this account said 90s-ghost wasn’t legitimate because “anyone can backdate posts” even though there are plenty of ways to distinguish a blogs age outside of post dates. Additionally, most of the prompts are rarely original and often are just taken from other websites without proper credits. Made an ‘apology’ after deleting the posts; Deleted the apology later making the legitimacy of its claims uncertain. Even if the account is to be retired, the apology should have been left up for future reference. (Though all it really said was the admin hadn’t ran the blog in years and mods were the ones who did all that and the admin didn’t want political content on the blog.)
This is just a reminder, don’t go harassing these blogs just because of this post. Most people forgot this happened and I want people to remember it. Not every Palestine gfm is a scam; Most are ran by family members or good friends who can be trusted. You can find many posts about the process by Palestinian users or those who work to help them.

“GoFundMe doesn’t operate in Palestine or Gaza”
That’s why there’s a gfm page that also explains that other people can fundraise for those who are unable to. Can we cut it out continuing to use this excuse to call every Palestine gfm fundraiser a scam it’s getting old and tiring to see this keep getting used as “proof”. There is a page on the site itself that would tell you this if you bothered reading the site itself more than one single page and calling it a day.
Also it doesn’t operate in multiple countries if someone pays attention and didn’t single those out and leave it at that.

Did you know badjokesbyjeff deleted all of the posts that called Palestine bloggers a scam and more? Without explaining why, without giving any kind apology, and that’s it. Thankfully, however, all of those posts have been archived so even though their deleted their still forever viewable. I dunno if anyone was aware of that yet. But now you know.

Keys dragon (and two demons) Palestine art event!
Hey everyone! I’m Key (or Jess) and I’m here bringing you a special art event to see how well it works! I am a digital artist who draws mostly dragons and decided to run two special events for Palestine donations!
The rules are simple:
Donate to a vetted/verified/legitimate Palestine fundraiser (here’s a list you can use!) and I’ll draw you a dragon! The dragon is yours to keep just don’t sell it please. It will be random unless you tell me what colors you’d like.
Additionally! If I can reach 100 people donating I’ll draw/design Key a demon form. So! Just reblog with proof you donated (or contact me with proof) and tell me what colors you’d like. The result will be posted once it’s completed.
As for myself, you don’t have to give me anything in return besides reading my guides that’s all I ask. But you can see my ko-fi here if you wanna look at it.
Anyway. Let’s see if we can reach 100!
Also you can check out @artofshadowfoxsilver for my art examples.
(Progress: 10/100)
Bonus dragons every 10 donations!
Bonus 1
Bonus event/goal (Started 8/8/2024)
Donate an amount equal to my commissions to fundraisers linked below and get the relevant reward as thanks!
Reach $1,000 and I’ll design Jess a demon form too!~
$0/1000

Scammers pretending to be Palestinian v6
(Scammers pretending to be Palestinian v6)
This guide is meant to inform you on some ways to differentiate legitimate fundraisers from those created by scammers who have been impersonating Palestinians for several months now. While originally I tried to list the scam blogs in these posts, Im just making this now a general overall method to spot scams.
Disclaimer: This guide is not to say all Palestine based asks are from bots or a scammer. Rather, it is meant to explain the reasoning why something is legitimate or not. Do not use this guide as an excuse to claim every single Palestine fundraiser is a scam.
TL;DR: In the span of you saying someone’s bot, you could be using tumblr search instead of telling me your reporting every ask you get as a scam without looking at the account.
One of the first things to keep in mind is that most asks you get will come from accounts who check the notes of a post. Meaning they saw you and decided to send you the ask or DM to share their fundraising post. This is not bot behavior and often is done by those is unfortunate situations that desperately need funding and as a result is a common occurrence across the internet. If this bothers you, it is suggested to turn off your askbox or limit DMs to mutuals instead of the posting in the scam tag that every ask you get is from a scammer when it’s a gfm account that has been vetted by a well known blog that may even be on a list of verified fundraisers if you bothered to look it up.
Secondly, while originally a non-gfm fundraiser may have been suspicious (such as PayPal or gogetfunding) it has since been decided and clarified that such fundraisers are now used when a gfm is shut down unexpectedly and the original creator informs the donors that they will need to resend it their support to a new fundraiser. If you do not see any mention of a previous gfm in a PayPal/gogetfunding post there is a possibility that searching parts of the post may show that the content is from someone else and the source may still be active with no mention of tumblr itself indicating the tumblr post is impersonating the real gfm.
Thirdly, due to language barriers legitimate accounts may use asks from other vetted fundraiser blogs with only minor edits. While this isn’t something I’d suggest doing, it’s understandable the situation unfortunately relies on copying someone else’s words to ask for support. However, please don’t reuse the post content unless you were given permission or are related to the original fundraiser such as being a family member. Images may be borrowed from other accounts, though they may be stolen from offsite places. This is not full proof of a scam, as it’s suggested to search around for proof of who originally posted the images. Please understand not everyone is natively an English speaker and Google translate isn’t always accurate. Some may reuse someone else’s posts unaware that it’s suspicious behavior.
Fourthly, most scam accounts have reused a certain style of ask often mentioning needing insulin (Humalog) for a relative, having nose freezes due to asthma, being down to their last pen and asking for “nt much”, or referring to their family being in the ruins of a church. The frequency of these asks is so common searching them in tumblr search should bring up plenty of posts. Additionally, the names used by these accounts generally appear across multiple blogs that have been seen running different kinds of scams later on. A majority of their posts are almost always stolen off a real fundraiser they don’t link to.
Fifthly, in regards to verification it is very easy to search a username and see who vetted an account. Scammers will often say they’re verified but don’t list who or even paste a username that has never existed at all when you go to check. If asked about it, they generally will opt to block you without responding. There are people who will take time out of their day to ensure someone’s legitimate just be patient.
Lastly, don’t just assume every Palestinian gfm is a scam and stop acting like sharing a scam is fine because you don’t want to accidentally ignore someone in need. If you regularly see the posts from legitimate blogs and share them you would eventually be able to tell the day old private PayPal account asking for insulin funds is suspiciously asking for a low amount of funds compared to everyone else.
Please read this post for other info;
If I’ve missed anything, please let me know.

Stop assuming every Palestinian gfm blog in your askbox is a bot that entire thing is just a false accusation spread over one simple mistake and now people think it’s perfectly fine to call every gfm ask a bot ask.
These are real people who have posts showing who they are, may even be on a list proving verification from a reliable source, and you’re just too lazy to do the bare minimum requirement to check anything.
Seriously in the time you can complain about the ask you could search the username and see what the top posts are and even then if you can’t find anything just give it a bit because some stuff takes time. Look at docs that list vetted gfms and see if ones there too.
I am so tired of trying to explain that not every gfm blog is a scam and now it’s me having to explain not every gfm blog ask is a spam bot.
Yes scams exist but that doesn’t mean every single Palestinian gfm is run by a scammer and sometimes gogetfunding and PayPal are the alternatives that are able to be verified too. But the scams generally are private links with a name that’s clearly Kenyan or stolen off a gfm that they didn’t link to that’s not been posted to tumblr.
Also $450 is not accurate to ANY goal set by the Palestinian fundraisers unless they state otherwise.

Remember:
If anyone wants to commission you, they wouldn’t ask if your commissions are open on a recent post that says they are open
You don’t pay to upgrade your PayPal account
Real people would use your preferred payment method for commissions
If someone wants to buy your art in a comment, it’s probably just a scammer wanting it as an nft
Don’t give strangers your email address just because they want to pay you $300 for a commission of a pet
The email they send you is a fake PayPal email it’s not real at all don’t click anything
The scammers didn’t send you money for that commission they also don’t want your art
Check the likes of any blank blog asking if your commissions are open and look at the comments section to see if they’ve been spamming the same thing
Stop giving internet strangers your email address if they want to pay you $300 for a pet commission if it’s a blank blog with no posts
Seriously if your using some kind of commission website these people don’t need your email address at all their just lying to you when they say they have “issues”
If you are talking to these scammers cut contact immediately and block them
$300 is a lot for a commission and to some it’s a regular price but for most of us that’s way over our commission prices but scammers don’t care and unfortunately a lot fall for it
(Art tags for visibility because these bots tend to use those tags for spamming artists)

Are you available for commission
So how does a commission scam work? You’ll get asks like this from blank blogs who didn’t see your commissions posts and instead are programmed to send these to anyone using certain tags. Afterwards, they’ll offer you $300 to draw a pet but won’t use your preferred payment option. Instead, they’ll ask for your email address. What happens next? You’ll get a phishing email claiming to be from PayPal saying you need to upgrade your account and when you click the link you’ll compromise your account details to the scammer who will then try to get your money. You will not be paid for your work at the scammer will then move on to someone else and block you.
If someone was really interested in commissioning you, they would already know the answer if they seen your post about it.
So what can you do? Block bots like this and warn other artists.
