Hi! So I haven’t really seen a Raoul that I’d consider Leroux accurate and I’m very attached to my physical appearance headcanons so I was wondering if you could recommend any light-haired, relatively short, Leroux-accurate Raouls? I find it very hard to get attached to his character (not because I dislike him but because he’s blander in the musical than in the novel) and I’d love to see if any Raouls that fit my mental image of him exist in the world of ALW.

It’s hard for me to think of Raouls that are really Leroux-accurate in their acting, because as you say, his character has been reworked quite a bit in the musical. Leroux’s Raoul came off as still quite young both physically and mentally, more emotional, more prone to jealousy, very much a young man falling in love for the first time, but also more complex as a character, while ALW’s Raoul is more of your typical romantic hero. But if you want to go solely by appearance, then here’s some light-haired Raouls who also happen to look very boyish and youthful (so no Steve Barton, sorry dude - he’s so awesome but he does come off a bit older to me).
