For the fic write ask game: 🍎What's something you learned while researching for a fic? 🔮What's your favorite plot twist you've ever written? 🛌 What's a trope you haven't written, but want to?
🍎What's something you learned while researching for a fic?
Ooh I've learned a few things researching Overwatch fics! I never would've learned of the existence of Hammershus, which is this neat little ruined fortress in Denmark if it weren't for like. looking around for locations that could pass as Watchpoints, and I looked up and compiled a HUGE amount of Australian slang so I'd feel more comfortable writing Junkrat!
🔮What's your favorite plot twist you've ever written?
OOOOOH. I don't think the fics I have on my AO3 have very many plot twists. I think the only thing that really counts at the mo' is the ending of part 2 of Triptych. I do have a very VERY loose outline for an Ace Attorney fic in my head, and considering that series is ALL ABOUT sudden changes of fate, it has at least one major one that hopefully I'll be actually be able to write someday.
🛌 What's a trope you haven't written, but want to?
VERY APPROPRIATE CHOICE OF EMOJI, QUESTION WRITER, because it's the Oh No Only One Bed trope LMAO. I'm more interested in the like, awkward pining potential of it over the sexytiems potential. Also!! The Drunken Confession thing because I think it's just so ripe for hilarity. BOTH are 100% going to happen in Sunshine Serenade eventually!! Because I figured "well this fic is already for 1000% for me, so might as well throw in some stuff I've always wanted to try" haha!

Hammershus: Difficult terrain but very scenic and next to the sea, which is good because they escape by boat. Lots of constructs to barricade in
Lilleborg: Very scenic, pretty easy terrain. No places to hide, and the body of water next to it is, upon further inspection, a very small lake
Kalø: Semi-easy terrain, next to the sea. Very open, only one place to hide. Perhaps too open

Bornholm has been battled over for generations due to its strategic location. Denmark has typically been in charge, but other nations have included Sweden and Lübeck. The largest medieval stronghold ruin in northern Europe can be seen at Hammershus, which is located near the northwest tip of the island. The only remaining Danish territory in Skneland east of the resund is made up of Bornholm and Ertholmene; it was ceded to Sweden in 1658 but was reclaimed by Denmark in 1660 following a local uprising.
Due to its weather and rock-like geology, the island is also known as Solskinsen ("Sunshine Island") and Klippeen ("Rock Island"), with the exception of its southern coast. The weather is calm, and the heat from the summer is trapped in the granite formations.
At the start of the 20th century, Røne Bornholm attracted a large number of renowned artists who eventually came together to form the Bornholm school of painters. Along with Oluf Høst, they also include the Danes Edvard Weie (1879-1943), Olaf Rude (1886-1957), Niels Lergaard (1893-1982), and Kraesten Iversen (1886-1955) from Denmark as well as Karl Isaksson (1878-1922) of Sweden.
The island noted multiple shocks in 2023. Scientists on the island said that acoustic pressure waves were to blame for the tremors, but they were unable to identify the waves' source. Although both have been deemed unlikely, theories regarding the tremor's causes include an earthquake and a nearby detonation.
Edit Bornholm was taken over by Nazi Germany while still being a part of Denmark, under German and Soviet rule.
Pt.2 Bornholm (Face reveal :D)
