Once again new ons chapter inital thoughts wow
Chapter 132 spoilers ahead!!
- ok so artstyle aside, this is definetly an upgrade from last chapter
- however still no Crowley so nvm, immediately horrible chapter, 0/10 (/s)
- alright, so we got a fair amount of vampire action (hallelujah) but the part in the middle with Mikayuu once again going over their plan didn't have to be that long. (I seriously wouldn't mind it that much if we got updates faster but with a monthly manga it's REALLY frustrating to have precious panel space wasted on info we arleady know)
- Ky Luc is still a feral manchild when he fights, never change pookie <3
- unfortunately this chapter reminded me of Yuu's bullshit powerups and how they infuriate me, like my man just bc you absorbed your boyfriend doesn't mean you should be able to overwhelm a 5th progenitor who is 1. not holding back and 2. stated to be stronger than an average 5th progenitor
- on that last point, we got another mention of Ky Luc being stronger than a "mere" 5th, i am smelling another Crowley situation pls tell me I'm not the only one
- "The first is much scarier than I am. He'll just use you." - Roger Stanford, serial child-experimenter and general human rights violator
- otherwise not much else to add, though I hope Yuu Letting The Beast OutTM will attract Guren and co's attention. Also maybe show Narumi again. Perhaps even Lacus, Rene, Chess and Horn. Pwetty pwease Kagami :3c (ignore how much I shit on your work thx)
Alright now time for my (least) favourite segment: losing my mind over the art in a bad way (utc)
Tumblr media
WHO ARE YOU GET AWAY FROM ME FOUL BEAST NAMED KIRSTEN (this isn't even his worst panel in this chapter. I'm being nice)
Tumblr media
Live Roger reaction / my reaction to that information
Tumblr media
Bro realised he left his toaster on (his sammiches will now burn)
Ok enough dunking, time for some mild positivity
Tumblr media
I'll admit this is kinda cute. Myeh :P
Tumblr media
She looks kinda pretty here. And baby Yuu is also cute.
Tumblr media
He is so cute here. The only ones somewhat winning with the new artstyle are women and kids. Hooray for women-likers and.... people who like the child characters (not in a weird way)
Tumblr media
Last but not least, Ulrich looks a little better. Still not good enough to be Urd but we're getting there. Hopefully. (I am coping. Hard.)

Ky Luc
With release of chapter 106 we saw this part about how Saito mentioned that Ky Luc's power is not anything normal for a mere 5th progenitor and he kinda even has the power to kill a third progenitor with the power he had so this question appeared to many that what if Ky Luc is not a fifth progenitor and is a higher rank one just like how Crowley was actually a 7th progenitor but had been hidden it for ages?
Tumblr media
Well that's also a good prediction and idea but here I wanna give a different one hope that you'll like it.
So back to many chapters ago when Yuu and the others wanted to go save Krul and Ferid from Ky Luc, Crowley told us something interesting about him, and that was that Ky Luc was just like Ferid.
A vampire with kind of emotions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And we all know that emotions are something unusual for the vampires cause when someone's turns to a vampire slowly that guy starts to lose all his emotions and humanity forever specially when long long times passes and the one who is important to that said vampire dies eventually.
And so according to what Crowley mentioned these are only 2 vampires remaineded who kept some kind of emotions even after ages pass.
And those two are non other than Ferid and Ky Luc.
Now have this till here and let's go to take a look at Wrat19 volume 1 chapter 1.
In there after Ferid drank Guren's blood and left him unable to move on the ground he went outside of the elevator and mentioned that those were enemies outside that will kill Guren if they'll know about him being alive and then we found out the enemies he was talking about was actually a group of vampires leading by a 6th progenitor name Sairen.
Tumblr media
But something that happened after that was actually something kinda interesting and that's the fact that Ferid started to fight them all and even cut that Sairen guy's arm off (Although as a 7th progenitor he can't and shouldn't even can to even get near a 6th one) and finally as after that when Guren went outside he saw no one it sounds like Ferid actually killed a 6th progenitor although this IS impossible in usual cases.
Tumblr media
But why is that?!
How could he do that?!
The answer is the one I was talking about it above: because Ferid still has some kind of emotions left to him.
Not important good emotions or devilish emotions still these are emotions inside of him something sounds like makes a vampire to can be more powerful than its usual rank.
(not to mention that in Nagoya Ferid could approach Krul, a 3rd progenitor and won the battle against her although that's IMPOSSIBLE and we even saw how easily Crowley fell against her but Ferid not)
So we can kinda say the same about Ky Luc too.
He is a vampire with emotions too.
Not important good emotions or devilish emotions.
Still these ARE some kind of emotions holding inside of his heart and that's what makes him more powerful than a usual 5th progenitor.
What do you think about this guys?!
Please share your ideas I'll be glad to hear them all ^^

My Chapter 106 Thoughts:
-I think this is probably the best written OnS chapter in ages and I feel that here is where the story is truly beginning because now Kagami is finally starting to link all the characters rather than staying with the same ones forever or treating the story like a fanfiction.
-Urd, Lest and Ky’s relationship is endearing. Lest and Ky truly admire and are loyal to Ky, and I loved how Lest worried about Ky’s safety because usually vampires have no qualms on attacking their own kind or using them as meat shields. Vampire friendship>>>>Human family bullsh*t.
-Rigr seems to still care about Urd and I love it.
-The part about Ky Luc being supposedly stronger than a 5th progenitor is intriguing. The fact that he has the ability to kill a 3rd progenitor makes me wonder that Ky is perhaps a similar case to Crowley? What does being “Urd’s right hand man” having anything to do with it? Is Urd perhaps conducting research to give his subordinates special powers like Urd’s blood ability and Lest’s lightning ability?
-Why do Lest and Raimeiki have the same lightning ability? Was Lest perhaps a candidate to be the Black Demon of lightning but failed?
-Even if it was an illusion, the vampires were still badass so *chefs kiss*
-I thought of ‘Rigr’s sensei/Saito sensei’ when he offered to teach them the Hyakuya Sect style spellcraft lol
-I wholeheartedly thank Urd-sama for bringing my beloved and beautiful Shinya and Kureto brothers duo back to this manga even if he held them as if they were sacks of potatoes and has anyone seen how Urd dropped the almighty Kureto-sama?😂 And Shinya went from trying to save Guren to being the one who needs to be saved. Disney Princess curse kicks in again guys…
-I wonder what happened offscreen. Are Aoi and Guren squad okay since Urd kidnapped Kureto and Shinya and so there must have been a fight before? Who will now take care of the JIDA since the Hiiragis are unavailable? How will Guren react once he discovers his boyfriend was captured? If Guren squad are fine, will they prioritise Shinya or Guren? Or will they go to Guren to ask help to save Shinya?
-The past Yuu having the same loud and stupid happy go lucky personality as our teen Yuu makes me wonder if Yuu went from an edgy teen to this version partially because Yuu’s personality is going back to his Old Greece one? And like, Yuu’s first personality was that of an soulless empty vessel so his current soul is making these changes…
-Honestly, Noya unable to bear with Yuu’s personality is the whole OnS fandom. And does Noya have the ability to command the formation of a new Yuu?
- I find it kinda funny how fans have been at war discussing whether MikaYuu is incest or not (and all this time I thought not) just for Kagami to drop the bomb of Yuu calling Sika “father”. I don’t know what to think of anymore…but I don’t care about ships involving Yuu anyway :D
-So will Shikama sacrifice our Yuu to bring the old Michaela back? And what will happen with our Mika clone then?
-So Noya and Ashera were the last ones to turn into vampires🤔
-It might be just me but Raimeiki and Byakkomaru acts like parents. Like, Raimei is the strict mum while Byakko is the laidback dad. Byakko’s personality reminds of Shinya…
-This chapter gives me the feeling that Shikama only cares for the original Michaela as his son but not the clones as he tried to attack Mika.
-Great, Mika is turning into Yuu’s weapon. The plot always favouring Yuu😒 I just hope this doesn’t become GureMahi 2.0.

OnS Theories (21S). Eleventh Theory - Unexpected guest, the last defense of humanity
Hello guys, this is a theory I’ve been meaning to write for a really good time, this one touches the unexpected, therefore, let’s begin!
P.S: Theories are held within a neutral view and ships are excluded!
With the recent development of events in chapter 103, humanity is trembling due to how the First managed to set free against the drugs Mahiru used to counter him like she did back in chapter 98 and 99; but then, why do I mention or rather, why does the tittle of the theory talks about unexpected guest or perhaps should I say “guests”?
Indeed, it is at moments like this on which we are reminded of a perfect duo, or rather a comedy relief duo with brains and muscles, of course, I speak of no other duo than Ferid Bathory and Crowley Eusford, but what does this have to do with how the current scenario is going?
If many might recall, the last time we saw those two progenitors were back in chapter 92 after they managed to literally escape from a second Progenitor and technically current leader of the vampires, Urd Geales, along with this, escaping from the 3rd Progenitor Lest Karr and lastly the 5th Progenitor Ky Luc:
Tumblr media
Image taken from Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign - Chapter 92
Within this, it is unknown where they took off but it’s clear that Ferid is very aware of Guren’s objective and destination, but, how can I state that?
If many might remember, Ferid worked in perfect sync with Guren to counter Rigr Stafford from making them lose their opportunity to trap the First Progenitor with a limited amount of time; furthermore, the very reason why it’s possible those two manage to track Guren is due to the fact that they’re not just going aimlessly but rather, they might be still carrying a rather interesting toy which is nothing else but
Tumblr media
Image taken from Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign - Chapter 92
Indeed, as vampires, it’s true they can’t exactly touch cursed gears since they react as poison for them, but the very fact that Ferid was able to command Jigenso while using the corpse of the Hyakuya soldier speaks a lot about infinite possibilities but nevertheless, why is it possible for them to arrive to the crime scene?
It is very known that Ferid has a taste to constantly face down the impossible, and one of his goals is to face down something that is like God; he’s the type of character that would love to show that not everything dances within Shikama’s hand but rather, humanity and vampires alike can always revert such thing, such thing is highlighted back in chapter 61:
Tumblr media
Image taken from Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign - Chapter 61
At such time, Crowley asked Ferid who they were fighting as rougue vampires that betrayed the Vampire Council, to which Ferid responded that they were fighting God and this is not due to the sense of fun Ferid speaks of, but rather, the deep grudge that exists due to the inmortal curse they’ve been living for millenials.
Therefore, it’s possible that Ferid and Crowley end up making their appearance within the dire situation humanity is facing to at least give some sort of hope to humanity before Shikama manages to succeed with his plans.
It’s even possible that Ferid ends up giving away Jigenso due to how it works despite having its wielder dead in order for them to pull a surprise attack on the first, what do I mean?
It is very well know that cursed gears work even within someone’s heart which has been very well reflected with Yuichiro and Shinoa with how both were able to use their weapons along some of their powers back when they were in the depthness of the heart, though, such can be heavily reflected with Yu with how he managed to subdue Asuramaru and command him without giving him any free will:
Tumblr media
Image taken from Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign - Chapter 102
Despite being in a space where demons had the upper hand, Yuichiro was able to make Asuramaru revert to his cursed gear form, and of course, he was able to use the abilities he carries even if he didn’t use the manifestation powers at hand since his strength was enough to face down Kiseki-O and Gekkouin, but then, what does this mean overall?
It means that it’s even possible that the squad ends up using Jigenso in order to rescue Yuichiro and Mikaela or even trick the first with Jigenso’s portals for it with the thanks of Ferid and Crowley if it were to happen they arrive to such scene and event since both of them work for Guren and have witnessed the unfairness of the First.
What do you think dear readers?
Let me kno!

OnS Chapter 106
Tumblr media
Well... this chapter is making me ask questions lol. At last though, we’re back to seeing what Mika is doing but is also continuing from where the previous chapter left off. So many things happening at once.
Tumblr media
The 2nd Progenitor Rigr Stafford vs. 3rd Progenitor Lest Karr and 5th Progenitor Ky Luc. Lest is having trouble and is worried due to facing a 2nd progenitor while his companion Ky is enjoying himself and feels confident he could win against a their enemy. Rigr realizes in the middle of battle that Ky is probably Urd's right hand man since Ky's ability surpasses that of a regular 5th progenitor.
Tumblr media
Rigr aims at Ky's eye. Ky realizes he can't dodge it anyways so he just went straight ahead to land an attack himself. Now the two of them are too connected to each other which worried Lest since he's about to use a lightning attack. Ky just tells him to go for it.
Tumblr media
Ky gives his sword as much blood as he could give to make sure Rigr couldn't get away when Lest uses Heaven's Fan. When the attack is done, Ky sustained a lot of injuries.
Tumblr media
It seems the attack had worked and had injured the 2nd progenitor as well. I felt pretty suspicious at this moment cause there’s no way these two could easily beat a 2nd progenitor. Plus Rigr wasn’t really that worried despite saying so cause he doesn’t always mean what he tells them. I thought there must be a trick.
Tumblr media
2nd Progenitor Urd Geales finally makes an appearance! Lest tells him of what had transpired and Urd isn't amused and tells him that it's impossible for a vampire to escape the cell (he made it so himself). He then tells Rigr to stop messing with his subordinates.
Tumblr media
With a clap of the hands, Rigr is back in the cell. Rigr reveals that the entire fight was nothing but an illusion that he learned from humans. lol I knew there was a trick but I didn’t think it was all an illusion. I thought he’d easily regenerate or something.
You know what, Rigr’s teasing nature and laid-back attitude in the middle of battle reminds me of Ferid. They might not be blood-related but he is the one who turned Ferid into a vampire so it’s close.
Tumblr media
The two former friends have a little reunion. Ky apologizes for the trouble but Urd tells him it wasn't his fault as Rigr is of a higher rank and can't be helped.
Tumblr media
It seems he still cares...
Rigr asks Urd what the latter has in store for him and Urd says that if Rigr doesn't answer his questions, he might just kill him. Urd asks what Rigr’s plan is and Rigr tells him that his revenge plan against the 1st Progenitor hasn't changed yet after all these years so there’s nothing to say.
Tumblr media
Urd says that in betraying the 1st, Rigr had also betrayed him and Rigr offered to be killed. He mentions he hasn't forgotten about Urd and has thought about him everyday when they were separated.
I’m sorry... these lines are getting to me. They must’ve been really close friends for them to be this way with each other. They kinda remind me of Mika and Yuu in a way except these two sort of became rivals or something.
Tumblr media
Urd then asked Rigr about this revenge plan and how it's going.
I’m guessing the original question is asking about what the plan is specifically but it’s changed to asking if it’s going well. I wonder if Urd had realized what it might be before asking?
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Mika is still inside Yuu's heart. In front of him is a strange eye and he's trying to figure out what this one is exactly.
Tumblr media
Mika touches the eye to peek into what's in it. He's then transported to this strange place and in each of the containers inside is an eyeball each. Mika finds himself possessing one of these eyeballs.
I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who recognized this from the Ancient Greece flashbacks several chapters ago.
Tumblr media
It’s tiny Yuu-chan! It confirmed that this is Mikaela's room from back in Greece thousands of years ago from the flashbacks. Yuu visits here many times to try and wake up the "sleeping" Mika inside the glass. This is probably a later scenario from Ashera’s flashbacks cause this Yuu isn’t borderline emotionless and acts like an excitable child unlike the Yuu that Ashera first met.
Tumblr media
Noya tells him it's pointless as Mika is dead but Yuu tells him that Mika will certainly wake up. It's Yuu's job to wake him after all. Noya comments that Yuu's exact duty is to be the sacrifice to awaken Mika. Yuu didn't hear this and continues to call Mika which annoyed Noya enough and in the end, Yuu was killed.
Okay, so I don’t remember if Yuu had been calling Sika Madu “Father” from before or if this is some new development because I think he just called him “Master” back then? Also, I guess this means Yuu and Mika are connected more deeply than we thought. I wonder how Yuu would be sacrificed.
Tumblr media
Noya then uses one of the eyeballs and turned it into another Yuu. The new Yuu could talk but knows nothing. He kept asking so many questions that Noya got annoyed again and killed this one, too. Ashera tells him that it's not right and Noya just says that he just has to get used to it. Plus no one would notice how many had been killed if they made another Yuu.
We’re finally shown how they make Yuu-chan clones. I wonder what changed or how this is done as the new Yuu clone acts like the previous one: loud and excited. He’s totally not like the Yuu that Ashera met who is quiet and sort of emotionless. I thought they would start out like that quiet Yuu first and then learn to be normal but it seems the clones are more like the new version of Yuu.
Tumblr media
The next Yuu Noya had created is the one Mika is currently possessing. Of course, this “Yuu” wouldn’t act the same as the others since Mika is possessing it. Noya didn’t question this or at least, he seems to not and just leaves this Yuu be.
So either he’s just faking and realized that there’s something really different (as that look is suggesting) or the personality of the Yuu-chan clones differ from one another that this is a possibility. Also, since Yuu-chan is a clone, who was he cloned from? Was there an original Yuu-chan? What was he then? So many questions...
Tumblr media
The 1st Progenitor and the others have arrived. Raimei scolds the kids for entering the room without permission but Byakko just tells her to go easy on them as they're just kids.
The group (minus the 1st Progenitor) looks like their demon selves: from the outfits to the horns). Does this mean they’ve been turned to demons at this point? Also, Byakko’s personality doesn’t look as serious as he seems as he currently is as Byakkomaru. By the way, I don’t think I’ve ever heard their original names being used so not sure if these are right. I got them from the wiki when I was looking at the correct name spellings for the other characters.
Tumblr media
Back to the present, Rigr offers Urd the choice to join him in revenge. Rigr tells them that his preparations are ready and apologizes for taking too long with it. He asks Urd if the latter has any hostages and it's revealed that the people Urd was carrying earlier are Shinya and Kureto and so Rigr asked about their demons (which are their former vampire companions).
This is making me wonder what Urd’s plan is. At first of course I thought he’s asking Rigr about this revenge thing cause he wants to know if he could stop it or change Rigr’s mind. But now I’m confused cause the way he’s asking seems like he’s... interested? And Rigr asked about hostages which Urd already has and coincidentally (or not...?) they are Shinya and Kureto who are the contractors of Byakkomaru and Raimeiki. Rigr even asked about the demons.
Like if Urd turned out to switch sides and becomes Rigr’s ally, I don’t think I’d be surprised. The current arc is just everybody switching sides and backstabbing everyone else or having ulterior motives in the stuff they do. How many opposing groups do we even have now lol.
Tumblr media
Switching back to the past, Mika continues to observe the others through the clone Yuu. Sika Madu seem to have realized what he really is though and addresses him directly.
I’m betting this is the real Sika Madu cause he’s already left Shinoa. Plus if his other demon companions could go to another demon’s world, there’s no doubt he could do it, too since he’s the most powerful of them all.
Tumblr media
Sika Madu tries to put Mika to sleep. A struggling Mika hears Yuu's voice telling him that in order to escape they must work together. If they devour one another, Mika would become Yuu's demon. As Sika Madu continues to use his powers on Mika, Mika finally accepts and lets himself become Yuu's demon.
--
Finally! I guess if this goes well (which there’s a high chance this would go well unless the author decides to prolong the drama), Mika would finally become a demon weapon. it’s also another sword if I remember correctly. I wonder if Yuu will use it now that Asuramaru can’t be trusted? Speaking of which, I suddenly remembered the cover art for one of Owari no Seraph’s artbooks wherein Yuu is shown with his sword and the reflection in it is Mika. Foreshadowing or coincidence? Probably coincidence since it’s the reverse in another artbook. Still it’s cool.
The Vampire side of the story is slowly connecting to the protagonists’ side of the story. It looks like whatever it is that Rigr is planning, it’ll involve the demons residing in a majority of the main casts’ weapons. They’d cross paths sooner or later.
Shinya and Kureto got caught but where are the others? Where are the rest of Guren’s squad? I wonder who the demons are that’s inside of the weapons of the others...
I’m still sad they chose not to use the nickname Mika had for Yuu. “Yuu-chan” is distinctly Mika’s nickname for him (it’s even Mika’s favorite phrase according to one of the fanbooks haha). Plus since they never use any honorifics for the way everyone else calls Yuu (Yoichi’s “Yuu-kun” and Shinoa’s “Yuu-san” are just “Yuu/Yu” now), there’s no difference. Mika calling Yuu by a specific nickname even became a plot point when one of the human soldiers trusted Mika because of how he calls Yuu. Like, I get why they’re not using honorifics in the official translation but it’s still a shame. Now everytime I see Mika call Yuu or refer to Yuu, my mind fills in the missing honorific. It will always be “Yuu-chan” to me.
Anyways, the last page of this chapter never said when the next one would come out. I wonder why? I’m hoping it’s not a hiatus but it can’t be helped if it is. I’m kinda excited for what’s to come next. I wonder what happened to everyone else? Are we ever gonna get POVs from them or are they also just left to the side since they’re not part of the main conflict? I mean they seemed to have completely dropped Narumi since I haven’t seen him in a while.
Thanks for reading this if you did!

oKAY GUYS HEAR ME OUT FOR A MOMENT -
Jesus CHRIST I know I joke about it and to this point I’m pretty nonchalant about it bc whatever it’s part of the entire goddamn story - but like for this page, I actually paused for a moment and just THOUGHT about just how POWERFUL the vampires are - like HOLY SHIT
With the devastating power Yu possesses with the Seraph gene, he can wreak absolutely chaos and havoc within a mere few seconds - and that’s him out of control -
Then we have Crowley here saying that even if Yu has control over his powers, able to control and use his abilities in a precise manner - Crowley still says that Ky Luc will be too strong of an opponent for them to beat -
Ky Luc is a 5th Progenitor - there’s still 3 more ranks excluding the 1st above that -
DUDE, I know I’ve always been like “Lmao yeah Krul, Lest, and Urd are very powerful don’t mess with them - ” But when it’s actually put into perspective for me, I’m just ??? HOLY F U C K THOSE THREE ARE INSANELY POWERFUL!
If Ky Luc is still considered too powerful of an opponent despite Yu having control over his Seraph powers for a few seconds (while still capable of causing MASS DESTRUCTION even with a few second - bc y’know, typical anime/manga trope where protag can go only a few seconds at his greatest strength but can easily beat opponents bc of that - AND KY LUC CAN STAND UP TO THAT?) then CHRIST Urd, Lest, and Krul must be MONSTERS.
...I’m sorry I really admire the vampires’ side and mainly root for them ;;;;;

I saw your post about wanting to receive ‘asks’ not sure if this is what I’m supposed to do (lol) but what’d you think of Ky lucs backstory and even that little snippet at the end in 13th century Moscow?? I need to talk about Ons since we have to wait another month so I might go crazy!! O_o
Also I love Ky sooo much!🥰
The wait is making me go crazy too asdfksks (esp with uh current geopolitical events I need it to distract me)
I like Ky's backstory! Really solidifies his feral manchild fighting style and sheer confidence.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if he willingly became a vampire to grow stronger. Would also explain his willingness to 'go beyond' his innate limit. By viewing becoming a vampire as only a single step to grow stronger, he might have been able to break past the limit of a 5th progenitor because it's still not strong enough. Or he discovered the 'eating other vampires' strat before Ferid did (/j i don't think he knows or cares about magic).
The little snippet at the end is very silly(/pos) and I hope for more little snippets like it in the future !
I hope his and Urds relationship gets expanded in the next chapter because he has to have something extra special to be Urds favourite (I will be riding on the urdluc/kyurd train until proven otherwise).

The world is a very big place and sometimes you have to look at what is and what is and isn't implied concerning the wording of the op does not look one bit like complaining about the writing wether their intentions were towards kagami or not is irelevant when things are worded in such a way
Lets not beat around the bush we both know im an asshole when it comes to yuunoa/shinoa implied or not and im not going to be sorry about it nor will i ask for any pitty or leniency in anyones judgement same way i post any anti people will come at me i will come at anyone who posts or suggests yuunoa anti sometimes taking the higher road isnt the ideal thing and those exceptions come to me from this ship/character and yes it is very pathetic but hey only human
Now with context to the other posts from the op you can see that this person at least in the subconscious level has ill will towards the characters/relationships
You cannot call a argument logical while only cherry picking facts mikaela did sense the power and ferocity of the first yes but he also felt the power of the 5th progenitor ky luc who is also stronger than ferid and they beat him/won by unconventional means with team work underline team and faught the other seraph as well
Im not gonna continue the argument for now because im actually starting to get tired and i feel like im gonna pass out rn
Btw when did we say anything about guren in this
Now there are 2 arguments to be had here
One with the op and whatever the fuck we were arguing abiut i honestly cant remmember
And you and me arguing about mikaela being a selfish asshole or a logical thinker
@chaoticgaymess
Couldn't repost because suprise suprise if you sarcastically call someone a dumbass theyll block you who knew lmao
Idk if you worded your response wrong or if im just dizzy (cuz i didnt sleep at all last night and i mean at all idk why i didnt want that my body just didnt wanna sleep)
But heres the thing
Shinoa squad has never tried to abandon mika and has done mostly the opposite of that other then that time in shibuya but that doesnt count different circumstances and whatnot
And in this current chapter theres alot we dont know about what happened when they reunited so we dont know wether it was the squad or yuu who decided to get away from the demon
Ill accept that im hypocritical in alot of aspects in ons and thats mostly because im petty when it comes to yuunoa/shinoa hate and the mikayuu war that seems to always rage on bit this aint one of em.cheef you gotta prove im hypocritical with this double standard

Last Chapters Summary
In the last chapters, Guren, his squad, Shinoa and her squad helped by Mikaela and Crowley, were fighting the 5th Progenitor, Ky Luc, I have to say I panick a little bit seeing what happened to Crowley.
To read my thought on chapters 60, Surrounding Ky Luc, click here
Chapters 61 Summary
The group is still fighting against the 5th Progenitor, Yuu control by the Seraph within him actually almost killed Ky but the hit wasn’t deep enough, the fight end when Crowley throw a sword at Ferid who is now free with a protection against the sun, thus he doesn’t burn anymore. After a little chitchat, Ky get away with Krul whom is still burning on the wooded cross.
can he even be more handsome ?
My Thoughts
I really enjoyed his chapters, even if I was sure that fight would last longer than that, but considering the fact the mangaka his taking a month break to work on the cover of the volume 15 of the series, I can understand why, at least it doesn’t end on a cliffhanger. I wouldn’t have be able to wait until November to get the next chapter if the present one was ending with a cliffhanger. I kind of like the 5th Progenitor, somehow he reminds me of Ferid and Crowley. He seems to talk like Ferid but enjoy fighting like Crowley. Talking about the tall muscular vampire, I was really happy with I saw he was okay. If you read the post on the chapters 60, you already know I was really worried about what will happen to him, since Ky Luc chop his head off. Something else made me happy in that chapters, is the present of Ferid, he is climbing up in my favorite character list. The best part of the chapter is probably seeing Ferid bottom half walking around…without the top part, don’t ask it’s a vampire thing, or maybe more a Ferid thing. We also learn a bit more about Ferid’s goal at the end of the chapter. I have the feeling the 7th Progenitor always knew Shigama Doji, the 1st Progenitor, was controlling the head of the Hiiragi’s clan.

OnS Chapter 99. Yuichiro Hyakuya/Amane - Deep Analysis
Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing alright, one of the things I’ve noticed is one of the most controvertial characters within the series and that character is Yuichiro Hyakuya, the main protagonist of the story.
Therefore, I’d like to make a deep analysis on him due to his psychology and his bevaior.
P.S: THEORIES AND ANALYSIS ARE HELD WITHIN NEUTRAL VIEW. SHIPS ARE EXCLUDED.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi3D_PnaxT0
Yuichiro Hyakuya is well known for being the main protagonist of Vampire Reign; but of course, like any other character within the story; he has had his hardships within the past along the fact that he was something without form but rather, someone treated as an object or a synthetic human by Sika Madu.
It is well known that Yuichiro had quite the personality before he befriended Mikaela Hyakuya; he didn’t consider the Hyakuya orphanage his family until the events with Ferid Bathory changed his life:

Of course, this only made Yu fear of bonding with other people; the only figure he could rely on was Guren since he was his saviour, a person that found him lost in a destroyed world; but even after Guren picked him up and trained him to defend against others; he couldn’t interact with people; Yu was left unable to make friends nor wanted to follow up orders; which eventually gave him the result of going to a school in order to bond with others; thus leading with the encounter of Shinoa Hiragi:

Shinoa was tasked to keep an eye on Yu but along with this, she was also ordered to make sure Yu was able to make friends; and of course, her being an observant, she detected easily Yu’s fear which was to make friends or find the love of his life, though of course Yu wasn’t having such thoughts, his only thoughts were to avenge Mikaela and slay vampires.
Gradually, his world started to become bigger; he was able to find a new family; despite the ways he made friends; those who became important to him were Shiho Kimizuki, Yoichi Saotome, Mitsuba Sangu and Shinoa Hiragi.
He took his time to follow up orders; and that was due to the fact he aimed to be stronger, he wanted to defeat vampires to fulfill his revenge, that was his sole reason to live.
But after several chapters which could mean days within the demon army; a fateful event occured.
Correct, he was able to meet Mikaela once again; with the surprise he was alive but as a vampire. Though, the reunion didn’t go as expected since Mikaela was aware the demon army only experimented on humans; by worst Yu saw his new friends being food for vampires which made him lose control and awake his seraph until he ended up returning to normal and thus lead to a comatose state of a week.
But then, was this the factor that made him acknowledge Guren as everything?
No. At this point, Yu was happy Mikaela was alive no matter what, plus he received the support of his new family. He felt blessed; until he discovered that Guren had knowledge of previous events but despite that, he stated the next thing:

Correct. Yu stated he wouldn’t mind being a Guinea Pig if it meant to bring Mika home; of course Guren dismissed such thoughts and stated they were family, and family would bring or save each other.
Despite that, time went peaceful, Yu was still impulsive and mostly when the Nagoya Arc began; he met another squad which was Narumi’s squad; they eventually worked together and supported each other until they heard Guren was caught.
This triggered Yu’s mind to the point he didn’t mind consuming pills in order to unleash his demon; of course, Asuramaru at that time halted him from doing such reckless move towards his body and instead suggested him to allow him to possess him; which only made the squad rush for him and save him; only to see Mikaela attempt to retrieve him without thinking that he was surrounded by the Demon Army.
Afterwards, they were reunited again, but something changed; what do I mean?
If many might recall, Yu went towards Nagoya’s airport with Mikaela in order to meet with his friends, but what he wasn’t expecting was to see the demon army killing humans in order to trigger the experiment of the Seraph of the End with Mirai Kimizuki.

This was the detonant as to why Yu had the mental set of seeing Guren as a good person and in fact, he’s not wrong; Yu’s aware Guren carries a big weight over his shoulders but like any other rational being, such message isn’t easy to deliver specially when the squad doesn’t know Guren like Yu does; Yu was able to see sides of Guren since he was the one that took care of him after his rescue.
But then, does this mean Yu will always be trusting Guren as if nothing happened?
At first, it seemed he understood why Guren did such thing and that was because he commited the biggest taboo which was to bring back the dead; Yu understood that his actions were out of the pain and grief and thus he didn’t mind his return nor the fact he’d use him again; thus lead to Mika get angry

Mika was the first one to tell Yu it wasn’t alright but Yu didn’t respond to that because to Yu’s possible mindset, it was that Guren endured a lot and he needed everything he could to restore the world again; such event followed suit to the preparations to face the 5th progenitor Ky Luc.
Afterwards, Yu’s heart stopped and was treated quickly but this only made Mikaela fear rage and anger towards Guren due to how he was using Yu specially after showing those two that he kept the 6th trumpet within his household:

Nevertheless, Yu still supported Guren’s ideals. After stopping the 6th trumpet, the squads went to Shibuya since Kureto Hiragi called Guren; of course, he called them in order to inform he was possessed by something Godlike for the time being and his demon was fending against such monster; said events would follow suit to the possession of Shinoa Hiragi and the fracture of the squad.
Yu was kidnapped by the Hyakuya Sect along his cursed gear; Mikaela eventually found a way to escape and find Yu; Yu’s friends escaped by their own while Mitsuba tried to find them; and of course, after Guren saved Shinoa from Shikama’s possession; the battle between Yu, Mika against Guren, Mahiru and Noya began.
Such battle was intense, it only made Yu allow Asuramaru take full possession of him in order to give him power but the results of that strength weren’t enough; Yu was halted by Mahiru; Mika did the imposible to rescue him leading to his death and of course, the biggest impact on Yu’s heart came:
Tumblr media
Image taken from Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign - Chapter 90
Yu stated he wished to die; Yu’s been bearing too much pain for so long and whenever he attempted to rescue someone, he couldn’t go further which made him think he was the problem. And as surprising as it was, Asuramaru conforted him and made him recall what Mikaela told him; the fact he needed to live was what made Yu cry and see his first family, his treasured person die in front of him.
After such events, the demon Mikaela started to manifest on the real world; Krul Tepes was able to meet up with Yu and told him a way to save him but of course, they needed to find a spot where to hide for the meantime. Within this, he pleaded Krul to save Mikaela or to at least get knowledge on how to save him

This result only ended up making the Queen start asking them if they knew who the enemy of the world was, who they were fighting, what their reasons to live were; but before everything could keep going, the First Progenitor took control of Shinoa’s body which was something Krul quickly detected and luckily, Mahiru managed to supress his cells from Shinoa’s body with quite the strange drug.
After that, we saw Guren and Mahiru entering the building the squad and Krul were in leading to the eventful details of chapter 99, which were the sealing of the demon Mikaela and the most controvertial scene for the fandom:

Now the real analysis begins.
Why is Yu so trustful? Why is Yu so easygoing with Guren’s actions? Or something that the fandom asks, why is Yu so dumb to not even doubt Guren in the sightlest?
WARNING: Theories and analysis aren’t focused on viewing characters in a bad light nor attacking the faves of the readers; analysis and theories are held within a neutral view and ships are excluded.
Something the fandom hasn’t noticed is Yu’s nature within the story. What do I mean?
Yu himself viewed as the character that deserved to die for bringing harm towards those who were close to him which explain why he didn’t want to make friends before meeting Mika and after Mika’s death as a human.
The fact that he eventually found support made him have a change of heart and the fact that he discovered Mika was alive gave him more reasons to fight the world he lived in; he was tired of always running away from everything that could harm him and so, he decided it’d be best to find answers; such answers would lie with the Vampire Queen.
But among this, Guren kept coming back to his life; was it bad that he did?
In a sense it wasn’t bad, because despite the harsh decisions Guren had to take in order to fight a God like entity, he did care about Yu and the squad as well;he understood the distrust they had and it was fine for him to carry such weight on his shoulder but, does this mean Yu will easily forgive Guren every time his feelings gets hurt?
The answer for this isn’t a yes or a no, but rather a why. Why is Yu forgiving towards Guren?
The answers is scary and the reason is because Yu has an overwhelming fear.
How can I state such thing?
Yu’s mentality hasn’t been stable from the very beginning; ever since the incident with his parents; he saw himself as a monster, and the fact Mahiru met him one day and saw the terrible experiments they did with Yu only made her give him an advice which was to find a reason to live even if it was a simple one. He had the right to live.
After Yu grew up and learnt the Hyakuya Sect performed experiments with kids and learnt that Guren knew such thing, he didn’t care if Guren used him, he was fine with that as long as he could provide help.
But, have you dear readers noticed such thing?
Of course. That’s the most terrifying thing Yu is afraid of. He is afraid of being alone and not being loved. He is afraid of being discarted, he is afraid that those persons around him hate him. He is afraid to be a let down to those who surround him.
Yu can’t simply discard such idea of his mind; that’s why when Mika was a half vampire, he didn’t mind if Mika drank his blood; he didn’t mind fighting and using his seraph powers or having his demon give him power if it meant doing something for the greater good.
When his most important persons were endangered or were close to dying, he’d lose it; he wouldn’t even know what to do, he begged God or anyone to save them. But whenever he heard there was a chance, he didn’t mind the result, as long as it made it possible to bring back the person he cherished which is something that can be seen with Mika.
Yu’s nature goes to not only from being a kind guy but rather, he seeks to be helpful but along this, it only leads to a self destructive attitude despite him not acknowledging it.
The reason he lacks character development is not because of being badly written but rather, because his heart carries many traumas, he hasn’t been able to move on from them, he hasn’t learnt how to overcome them and have the confidence to state what he really feels aloud; he’s afraid of rejection; his actions alone speak that he wouldn’t dare to betray someone’s wishes because it’d mean losing the trust he might have built with the characters he has interacted with.
But then, there’s something else to notice about Yu’s behavior, what could it be?
Correct. Despite Yu being someone who wishes people could rely on, he unconsciously sets barriers towards the people that know him, such barriers are directed towards the squad that has worked up with him and became an important family to him; but how can make such statement?
That’s simple. It is reflected within the behavior seen in the latest chapter. Shiho and Yoichi for losing their loved ones and seeing Yu crying for losing his loved one as well, understood the pain he went through; and thus, for them being easier to express such thing without the fear of losing anything else, they don’t want to risk to lose more; such behavior is directed towards them unknowingly
It can only be said it is required to wait and see when Yu will stop fearing to have contradictions or rather, when he’ll start being more honest of what he truthfully feels.
What do you think dear readers?
Let me know!
