——— how they’d ended up in this position was ENTIRELY adam’s fault. entirely his doing. how long had he and havoc been flirting back and forth, in a completely  ‘ innocent ’  manner? ust two friends bantering? ages, it seemed. the prince hadn’t meant for it to bubble over into something else, no, but the matter of the fact is that it HAD, one evening following a couple of drinks in his office, after the other had felt like being PARTICULARLY annoying  ( per usual ) . there had been talking and bantering, and in a spur of the moment gesture, adam had KISSED him so SOFTLY. it had taken a bit of coaxing, a bit more of soft kissing that had turned into passionate liplocks full of NEED and LUST, before the prince was clasping him by the wrist and leading him out of the office and in the direction of his bedchambers. adam wants to take his time. he wants this to be RIGHT.              “ if this... bothers you, at any moment, ” the prince speaks once he’s pulled him inside the dim room, kicking the door closed behind him, cheeks FLUSHED charmingly both from the alcohol and the prior kissing. “ please let me know, havoc. i don’t... i don’t want to cross a line and ruin whatever we have. do you understand? ”   the hand that clutched the other’s wrist moves, pressing his chest until he’s backed him against the door, lips immediately finding purchase upon his neck. lithe fingers move to the buttons upon havoc’s shirt, undoing each and every one of them so SLOWLY. taking his TIME. adam is SLOW and SOFT when it comes to this, usually, and this is no exception. hell, even when the other seems to be trying to take control, to hurry it along, all the prince does is GROWL against his skin.  “ stop it. ”  adam’s hands move to work at pulling away the undone shirt, lips leaving a trail of kisses along havoc’s jawline. just stop FIGHTING it. let him be gentle, at least to begin with.

     “DO Y’THINK PEOPLE ARE SCARY?”  Probably not, but the question spilled forth from her lips regardless.  Her brows were furrowed deep along her features, and she was staring down to a newspaper caught beneath her step.  Pressing her toes down HARDER, she staked the article there, staring to the pages looking back at her.  Murdered.  Police.  Fire.  A few of the words that caught her attention ( and that she could even read to a degree, familiar with the concepts and the curving of the letters ), though she was certain more p l e a s a n t information might be found somewhere in the black and white.

              After a few heart beats of just staring with no real intentions, Cat bent down to take the item up, crumpling it within her hands, rolling it until it turned soft beneath rough fingers.  It felt almost foreign to her - she never bothered with the news and she rarely held things that were so gentle along her skin.  It was for those who cared about the state of things in reality.  The deceptive girl barely cared about h e r s e l f.  “Or are they jus’... flies that don’t stop buzzing by your ears?”

      Every once and a while she said something that sounded creative or even deep.

Again, he may well be reaching, but the gesture itself is suspicious. Loki knows he’s done nothing to merit this manner of affection.

“More of the latter,” she responded evenly. She would be a fool to think that reconciliation was at hand. While one could argue that she wasn’t exactly alive to make amends in the past, he had gone through a lot to become the god he was now. “Though my original purpose was to make sure you had something to eat.”

Farbauti stood up straight. He could believe whatever he wanted from her, but if he thought that he could scare or intimidate her away from him, he was wrong. Stubbornness was a common trait, apparently.

“That’s because you never answer to it.” Hardly actual news, and certainly not momentous enough to properly rouse her from a comfortable half-sleep on the couch. Neither is wondering exactly which name he’s referring to - though she’s fairly certain if it was the one given him by his adoptive parents (and hence most myths) he’d be shrieking the walls down rather than lamenting.

If it’s the name he chose for himself, well, there are not that many people who actually know it. Which leaves, by process of elimination, any of the different yet oddly similar names he applies on official documents and in pursuit of his mischief of the day.

And would probably end up on his mugshots as well.

 It’s only after a moment that she stirs again and a little more, enough to raise her head and try a drowsy assessment of whether he’s being serious about something or only sardonic. “Was there someone you wanted to invoke it, at all?”
