Actually heres a funny story of how I discovered the rare ship lmaOO but like— ill explain whY aFteR

so me and my brO were talkin about silly idea/concepts for Haiquestrian(or a pony au or somethin dumb) as 👏 you 👏 do and they were just like “yoooo Yaku and Kuroo lowkey argue like an old married couple”

And I went “ >:0000 omg yeahhhh” and then we searched for content and then we both ended up liking it a fair bit LmaOOO

ANYwaYs; some other fun parts of the ship I enjoy:

+ the two have that whole “enermies to friend” goin for them( Kuroo calls Yaku Yakkun/Demon Senpai :))) )

+ they trust and rEsPect eachother

Hi there :D How about this for the drabble game? Kuroo Tetsurou x Yaku Morisuke. Situation #27 Seeing each other for the first time in a while. Sentence #28 “If I kissed you right now, what would you do?”

This is not happening. It absolutely, positively is not happening. How could anyone ever think that he would be the “perfect date” for him? Yaku considers bolting but those golden eyes are too quick and catch sight of him, wearing this stupid red collared shirt so that he would stand out in the crowd.

“Well this is a surprise,” Kuroo purrs--actually fucking purrs.

“Uh huh, remind me to write in a complaint to the developers of that asinine software,” Yaku snaps.  

“Morisuke, you wound me! At least we’re matched with someone we have some things in common with!”

“We never agree on anything!”

Kuroo flashes that irritating smirk and it makes Yaku want to smack him. “Look, we’re already here, why don’t we just… hang out? We don’t even have to call it a date if you want.”

Yaku is about to tell Kuroo to shove it when he catches just the faintest hint of…worry? Well, they are both new to town, and it’s kind of lonely when you’ve left everything and everyone you’ve known for years behind.

“Fine, but no funny business!”

Kuroo snorts, “Yeah, like that’s gonna happen.”

And so they “hang out”, going to a movie (it takes them nearly an hour to decide which one) and get food (they end up flipping a coin because they can’t reach a mutual decision).

But despite all that, Yaku has to admit at the end of the evening that he’s had a good time. Despite all his maddening annoyances, Kuroo is actually a good date… non-date… whatever. And Yaku finds he doesn’t mind so much that they don’t see eye to eye on everything (anything) because even if he doesn’t agree with Kuroo, the man’s at least intelligent enough to present a convincing argument.

And then Kuroo breaks his ability to think when he says, “Morisuke… if I kissed you right now, what would you do?”

Yaku whips his head up, stopping dead in his tracks and stares at him. But he’s not teasing. He’s completely and utterly serious.

He blurts out a firm “why” and gets the satisfaction of seeing Kuroo ‘Thinks he’s so cool but is really a dork’ Tetsurou blush.

“Wha… No fair! Answering a question with a question!” he whines.

Yaku smirks, rising up on his toes (damn the man for being so tall) and whispers, “Ask me out on a proper date… then we’ll see.” He walks away, leaving a spluttering, cursing Kuroo behind him.

He doesn’t make it home before his phone is ringing, Kuroo’s stupid, handsome face illuminating his screen.

Kuroyaku Weekend 2017

The first Kuroyaku Weekend will be kicking off from August 11 till August 14, 2017! 

Join us in giving this underrated ship the love it deserves! Artworks, fics, cosplays, moodboards, playlists, headcanon lists - anything goes, just make sure you tag it as ‘kuroyaku weekend 2017’.

The theme for Kuroyaku Weekend 2017 is: Opposites. 

Free day will be on Monday, August 14, where any and all Kuroyaku works will be accepted regardless of whether they fit the theme or not.

The prompts listed below can be followed in any order throughout the whole event. It is not necessary to use them, but we do require that the main theme “Opposites” be incorporated in your work, with the exception of works submitted on free day (Aug 14).

kuroo is a menace and yaku acknowledges him as such,

but if we’re being serious, kuroo is one of yaku’s best friends. they originally met in junior high, on different sides of the net, yaku crushing kuroo so entirely and into the dust that he hadn’t even bothered to remember that exact team that kuroo was on. when they transitioned to high school, kuroo and yaku got off on the wrong foot. they were at each other’s throats constantly, exchanging jabs and insults and trying to burrow underneath each other’s skin.

but where they are now, as third-years, there’s been so much change to their relationship. there’s still jabs, insults, banter- that’s apart of their friendship. jokes that they know are jokes in between them. but they’ve grown. they’ve grown from two first-years getting into constant competitions with one another into two third-years supporting each other and achieving their goals together. 

yaku has seen kuroo grown from that junior high kid into a capable third-year. not only a capable third-year, but his captain, the leader of the team, the one that directs everyone and stays after school to help their mess of a first year get his crap together. he’s stepped into their role of leadership (probably before he was supposed to, as the nekoma volleyball club was dying and i think theres canon evidence tht kuroo’s been captain since late second-yr). he respects kuroo so much because kuroo has put so much work into the team, into what he does, and he respects kuroo so much as a person. 

they are on equal levels. yaku acknowledges that. and they’re going to get to the nationals together. and they did.
