aomine as that one anak basket at your local SMA
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: kinda selfship because ive been in a parasocial situationship with this mf for ten years and i might delete this later
THIS SON OF A BITCH SAYS TOBRUT UNIRONICALLY and i swear you gotta smack him on the face every day for it for REAL !!!
you cant tell me you looked at him and didnt think he wears axe and sprays it after practice so he smells kinda weird after lawl
the typical anak basket i know like hiphop so his playlist is def gonna be filled with rap songs and he would play like one or two songs on the class speaker
for how mesum this fucker is he is definitely still gonna defend momoi from anyone talking borderline harassing shit about her including his pornbrained friends like he would legit grab them by the collar and lift them up to his eye level
eats your leftovers all the time. or worse, he eats your whole lunch
if youre in one of those schools where your class overlooks the basketball court he probably tried to woo you by playing basketball with his shirt unbuttoned during lunch break
kise just goes along w it and kagami is actually competitive for no reason lol (aomine def thought he was competitive about you and not basketball and they probably almost got into a fight after)
this bitch cabut kelas all the time
or he would sleep in class no in between
but honestly like he doesnt really get out of class unless kise or kagami drags invites him to play basketball during break times
people definitely thought hes dating momoi esp his friends who think like shes his type and hes like ??? i know her too well to be liking her that way (me with my best friend)
anak basket are like the it boys (kind of) so he definitely has quite the number of girls liking him
safe to say not a lot of them continue liking them for a prolonged period of time after finding out how pornbrained he is (ill take him i can fix him)
tbh i think hes pretty much a jock w questionable perspective on women (but i can fix him) but thats because he only has like. what. one girl friend? hes just kurang jauh mainnya
i genuinely am not sure how to continue this one without actually selfshipping i will stop this here but anak basket!aomine you will always be in my heart

Ch 1. Wreckin' Ball
Summary > One > Two
Aomine daiki x reader
You’re animatedly chatting with Alex while entering the basketball court, you look across the court at the ongoing game, trying to spot Taiga. Upon seen the redhead jumping the highest on the court, you scream waving your hand, “Taigaa!”
Your loud echoing voice gains everyone’s attention and all faces turn towards you.
This is when Aomine Daiki turns, and the moment he looks at your face, he’s blown away. He looks at your sundress and starts wondering who you are, he’s lost in his thoughts when suddenly WHAM! *Black Out*
You witness the change in wind as out of nowhere the ball comes at full strength and hits the tall guy (almost as tall as Taiga) out of nowhere. The man topples like a dead cartoon onto the court - unmoving.
The doctor in you runs towards him thinking, what the hell was that, where did that ball even come from, and with so much force. You start checking the man’s eyes for motion.
Aomine feels his ear wringing with pain. One second he was about to catch Tetsu’s ignite pass, the next he’s lying flat on the ground. He’s sure he’s dead. He slowly opens his eyes, and the blurry vision starts to fade away. He sees a worried you looking at him closely. He thinks, “Oh Im definitely in heaven. This can’t be real.”
He lifts his hand to touch the mirage that is your face, but Taiga takes that hand instead and lifts him to sit upright.
“Oh.” He turns to look at you. Wasn’t death afterall.

KIYOSHI TEPPEI X SECOND CHANCES
Peanut Wheel of Fortune Event
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cw: 2,3k, hurt to comfort, angst, Kiyoshi getting hurt (as in knb plot), one curse word, gn!reader
Plot: Kiyoshi was your biggest love, but it’s not easy to date a person who will sacrifice themselves on every chance they got
Event Masterlist
Tumblr media
Kyoshi Teppei was a perfect guy.
When you met him at the beginning of your high school life, you couldn’t help but wonder if there was anyone who embodied Golden Retriever energy better than he did. He was so nice to everyone, energetic, polite, and well-mannered, and he simply shined everywhere he went. You couldn’t believe how that happened, that one rainy day he confessed to you, with this bright smile, a tiny blush, while rubbing his nape from embarrassment. You could guess he asked at least three different people for their good luck before talking to you. Of course, you liked him too, how could you not? It was Kiyoshi Teppei.
The first month of our relationship felt like a dream. He was Prince Charming, the greenest flag, the person who, on hearing you say you were thirsty, would run to the shop to get three of your favourite drinks and a soup just in case and sprint back before you even noticed. He always put you first and talked to you for hours, and your family loved him too. You cheered him on at every game and you became friends with his team, it all felt like the high school romance manga of your dreams. Until it started to fall apart.
Kiyoshi not only put you first, but he put everyone first. He was the most selfless person you knew. When Seirin started to get far in Inter-High elimination, he was the one working the hardest and sacrificing the most. It didn't surprise you that you spent less time together as a result: you couldn't be angry, and you'd support him no matter what. Or so you thought. Kiyoshi would never talk to you and tell you what was wrong, but you noticed a change in his behaviour at some point when his shine was no longer so bright. You noticed micro-expressions on his face like he was in pain - but whenever you asked him about it, he'd brush it off and tell you everything was fine.
Your dates became less frequent, but you were okay with that. Having a boyfriend with big dreams wasn't going to be easy. And then the Kirisaki Daiichi match happened.
At this point, you already noticed that Teppei was overworking himself. He always put everyone first without looking back - that was what you loved and hated about him at the same time. But when you saw him get hurt during the match, it broke your heart. The whole scene looked awful and you had to cover your mouth in case you were going to throw up. The match was stopped and everything was chaotic. You barely remember anything until you got to the hospital. You wanted to be there for him, to support Kiyoshi in his worst moments. But your final straw was when he refused surgery because otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to play basketball in high school.
You yelled at him to the point that the nurse asked you to leave. You cried and just told him you won't take it anymore. You refused to just stand there and watch him kill himself for basketball. He didn't say anything.
And that's how your relationship with Kiyoshi Teppei ended.
People always say that your first love rarely is the last one. You wouldn’t know - even after some time had passed and you hadn't talked to Kiyoshi since the break-up, you couldn't imagine dating someone else. You were partly grateful that he was in hospital for so long and that you didn't have to see him, because deep down you knew that if he asked you to come back, you'd do it in a heartbeat. Your friends stayed by your side, telling you that you deserved to be with someone who didn't put basketball ahead of his health and, well, you. But as the year went on, you couldn't help but wonder if you'd ever loved someone as much as you loved him.
The graduation passed and you still didn’t even see him in the school. At first, you were angry, but as time went on you had to fight the temptation to call him and ask how he was. You avoided his friends from the team till graduation, but it was eating you from the inside how you couldn’t even catch a glimpse of him at school. Graduation of the first year, spring holidays, beginning of the new year. No sight. No call, no message. You were going through all stages of grief. You heard rumours about the basketball team being amazing again, without Kiyoshi. „Good for them” you replied to your friends when someone tried to break the news to you as a kind of small talk. Everyone around you knew not to mention basketball anymore. At that point, it almost felt like it was basketball that took away your first love.
But deep down, you were rooting for Seirin. How could you not? This team was built with your lover's sweat, tears and blood. But it made you sad that he was not here to contribute to its success. Until Kiyoshi showed up for the winter semester. And instead of feeling relieved that he was well, you were angry again. When he didn't even find a second to write you a single message for a year, you kind of wished he had a good reason: not that he'd just come back to school, all bright and shiny like before, without a proper explanation. Or has he moved on?
You wouldn’t know, and to be fair, you didn’t want to know. Because the idea that Kiyoshi simply moved on, because it was not as important to him as it was to you was as painful to you, as getting hurt during the match was to Teppei. So you decided to ignore him. Pretend that you never crossed paths. Sometimes it was less painful than seeing him behave like nothing had happened and that you had never been together.
You didn’t come to any games, you didn’t want to listen to the exciting news about how Seirin had a realistic chance of winning this time. Until one day, out of nowhere, you got a message from an unknown number.
You hadn't really blocked Kiyoshi the year before, because he never really tried to contact you. But one day, a month after you broke up, your best friend invited you over for a sleepover, you had two beers together, and after being influenced, you deleted his number and all his messages. But you knew his number by heart, so when it popped up on your screen, your heart skipped a beat.
„If we win this game, please let’s talk” it’s all it said. Of course, that was so Teppei. He was at the school for almost four months and needs a fucking game to schedule when he will talk to you. You didn’t answer. There weren't enough words in the vocabulary to describe how angry and sad you were, and you didn't want to be the salty ex who wrote him an angry essay and made him lose a game.
But it happened: Seirin won. And just out of curiosity, you actually watched the game this time. You couldn't get rid of the painful feeling in your chest when you knew how much it had cost Teppei to achieve all this. On the one hand, you were relieved that he finally made it, but on the other hand, you couldn't deny the sadness. You never replied to that text, partly out of fear: you didn't really know what to expect from him anymore: it had been a year since you broke up, what was there to say? You felt stupid for never really moving on, but life went on without you. And maybe Kiyoshi too.
Days after the game, you stayed longer at school, stuck with your class responsibilities. It was quiet and the evening sun was glowing through the window, as you stapled the notes teacher asked you to bring after classes. Just as you finished, the classroom door opened abruptly. "A perfect student as always?" You heard a familiar voice and felt a shiver run down your spine. "Stop making fun of me, I've never been a perfect student anyway" you replied, slightly annoyed. This was so him: trying to make up for the year of ghosting with a friendly joke. "You never replied to my text. Did you change your number?" He ignored your answer and asked without further small talk. You avoid his eyes as you reply, avoiding the question: "Congratulations on your win, Kiyoshi."
Your tone was neutral, cold. The worst part was, it’s not like you hated him. How could you? But the wound was too deep to just fall into his arms like in a cheap romance novel. You heard his footsteps as he came closer, sitting on the table right next to you. „I’m so sorry.” You heard his full of regret voice. „I don’t even know where to start with all of the things I should apologise for. But what you need to know is that for all this time I could never stop thinking how I want to make it up to you.” He stopped for a second, and continued, hesitantly: „All I want to know, is if you… still love me enough, to give me a second chance. Or love me at all.”
You smiled, to his surprise. You finally looked at him, for the first time since he had entered the room. "How is it that after all this time you still know exactly what I want to hear?" He smiled back, but before he could say anything, you continued in a serious tone: "Why didn't you say anything for a year?" This was no time to beat around the bush - no amount of sweet words would change the fact that he had simply let you go and only returned when he had achieved his goal. No matter how you look at it, it seems that you were never his priority, only basketball.
Kiyoshi felt slightly intimidated by your straightforwardness, but sent you one of his branded bright smiles.
"You know, that's one of the things I've always loved about you: you're the most honest person I've ever met. I still remember you yelling at me in the hospital. I have thought about your words ever since." He paused for a moment, looking down at his huge, calloused hands. "At first it took me a long time to process what had happened. Can you imagine that the whole time I was in hospital, I didn't believe it was over? I just refused to believe it. All the time I just believed that we would talk it out and it would be the same. Every day I rehearsed in my head my apology when you'd walk through the hospital door like you used to. But you never did. It seems so silly now, but all the time I thought that if I wrote to you, the break-up would be real. It wasn't. I think I only realised it when I came back to school and you refused to look at me. I don't think I've ever felt so empty in my life. Not even Hanamiya's foul came close to that pain. But I didn't want to just come crawling back to you and repeat the exact same pattern as last year. I did not want to... disappoint you like that again."
After you heard him pause, you couldn't help but wonder if there was any way you could have resolved this sooner, by communicating. You looked at his face attentively. "But now… I guess after we won with Hanamiya… All I could think about was how much I want us to be together again. It is embarrassing to admit how much I missed your voice. Even if you'll just scold me. But at least" he hesitated, and you noticed a tiny blush on his cheeks, "at least I had the courage to finally ask you if there was any chance that you felt the same way." His face became even more red as he quickly added: "I heard from Riko that you don't go out with anyone, if you do, I'm so sorry for saying such things."
You looked at him, still stunned by everything you'd just heard, and you couldn't help but think that Kiyoshi Teppei really is a perfect guy. No matter how much you wanted to hate him right now, to scream at him for all the time he hadn't reached out to you, you felt the anger just go away by looking at his face, all red, and his beautiful eyes trying to avoid your gaze out of embarrassment and fear that he might have said all those things to a taken person. How could you be so angry with him? You moved slowly towards him and rested your forehead on his chest. He was surprised by the sudden touch, but didn't move.
"You're so stupid" you said as you grabbed his shirt. You waited a second to not let him notice that your voice was cracking. "Promise me you'll never do anything like that again? I never want to hear you put basketball before your health again." You couldn't see his face, but he sighed and put his hand on your head.
„I promise” he said with the most gentle voice.
You know what they say, that love is not enough for a relationship to survive. But this time you really think it will be enough to fuel both of you to work it out and grow together so that you'll never break up again.

love is war — a. daiki

Tumblr media
[disclaimer: i do not own the original animated picture, it was uploaded to wallpapercave by apple3d]
your hands shook for the first time that day as you stood there in the kitchen, the apron loosely hanging to your tired form. your left hand on the white onion that you just peeled, your right hand holding the knife, the nails of which carried the remnants of the aforementioned onion’s shell. your hand shook as you kept thinking about it, about how you just have had enough.
turns out marrying aomine daiki was not the difficult part, the hardest part came afterwards — staying married to him, cause God bears witness to how many times you have just wanted to scream and shout out of sheer hatred.
hatred not for him but his sport, his career, and now that you think about it — hatred for a part of him, too, cause basketball was not just a sport for him, it was his entire life which you have always whole-heartedly supported but sometimes, just sometimes, you want to headbutt him and then maybe, just maybe wrap your small (compared to his) hands around his neck and squeeze with all your might to watch the life fleeing through his eyes.
but guess we are not ready for that conversation yet.
shaking your head, you continued with cutting the onion, although you almost did cut your finger but it was a near miss. after you were done cutting the carrots and the beans, you moved the pot filled with water on top of the stove at high flame.
the sound of the door opening did not do much to faze you and you gently continued with putting the chopped vegetables inside the pot, now that the water was shimmering a bit. the surrounding soon filled with the familiar sound of daiki’s practice bag dropping to the floor, followed by the unlacing of his shoes and his socks dropping on the floor to which he is not going to pay another look to.
his footsteps were soft and almost rhythmic as they resounded louder with every step that he took because he was taking those steps towards you only. you knew very well what exactly was going to happen next but nonetheless you kept playing ‘don’t do it dai-kun’ in your head like a mantra and there, just when you were in the middle of chanting that mantra, it happened.
his sweaty figure hovered behind you, so close to your back that you could feel his breath on your shoulder, his hands were swift, much like in basketball as he wrapped them around your chest, his right hand falling in place — on your left breast.
“mhm, here are my favourite pair of tits.”
the smirk that must have formed on his lips is unmistakable.
‘so you have other pair of backup tits?’ you would have replied on a regular day but you kept quiet.
daiki noted your silence but continued, “and no, i do not have any pair of backup tits, yours are enough.”
he expected you to reply now maybe but you kept quiet.
and then came the familiar grinding, his lower half grinded against your ass, his boner becoming more and more prominent.
and that was it, that is what it all took.
“leave me alone dai-kun,” your voice was exceptionally low. in your mind however that was mellow cause what you expected to do was burst out, have a meltdown, break things even maybe but aomine daiki’s sheer presence just proved that you were his wife first and y/n second and you hated that, hated yourself for that.
daiki chuckled thinking nothing of it and inched his fingers near your nipple to stimulate it but your hand on his startled him. your small cold hand on his usual hotter one is what it took for him to finally understand that something was amiss.
“what’s wrong?”
“wow, the fucking nerve you have.”
“excuse me?” daiki was startled again and took a step back.
you turned around after your hand instinctively lowered the flame of the stove, “have you seen the time?”
“yeah. it’s late i know, and?”
“and what dai kun?! and fucking what? i am fucking tired. it is 12 in the middle of a god awful night and you are coming back now. i was late tonight as well and just wanted to come home to my husband but i got what i always get, fucking loneliness creeping and lingering in this ‘shared’ apartment.”
your tone change at the ‘shared’ word surprised you even. you did not mean to sound that rude.
“babe, if work is getting overwhelming and you have to put in more hours, it is fine. i will understand if you do not want to cook. leave it, we can just order something,” daiki offered you a gentle smile, his hand advancing towards you but your maniacal laugh shocked, nay, scared him. it was bone chilling. you do not even talk in a louder tone and here you were laughing an almost sadistic laugh.
“wh-what’s wrong?” daiki stuttered, probably the first time in his life, wait the second; counting the time when he proposed to you because he was shit scared out of his mind.
“of course you would not mind if i do not cook one night, aomine daiki and maybe if i stop cooking altogether, that would not bother you as well. you know what, i should stop waking up at four in the morning to prepare your bento boxes and attending your matches, taping your broken bones and taking your parents to their monthly doctor checkups. oh and also, definitely stop fucking you.”
daiki was not sure what was happening nor did he have any idea how to respond to your outburst, “baby, if it is getting hard at work, it is okay if you want to take a break or something.”
you had not noticed but you were crying, you cannot just be angry, if you are angry you obviously are also crying because that is the only way you know how to vent out.
you shook your head, “and they told me talking would fix things. my fucking ass,” you sniffled, wiping your tears as if in a hurry and pulled your shrug closer to your form as if a cold draft just passed through you, “i am leaving, dai-kun. since you would not really notice if i stopped doing any of that, i don’t see the point of even standing here anymore,” your hand reached out inside the pocket to bring out your phone.
daiki watched you in horror, like in that match when kagami passed through daiki’s defense using kuroko’s misdirection overflow. back then it took two people to faze him but here, tonight, you were doing it alone so effortlessly.
“can you pick me up?” your soft sniffles rang like bells inside his head, it was as if everything around him was moving in slow-motion.
he meant to ask you who had you called or maybe where you were going or how long were you taking a break for but you beat him to it.
“akashi kun is coming to pick me up, you will receive the divorce papers first thing in the morning,” you rushed to the bedroom after noticing his star struck expression, your tears free falling but you hardly cared about them as you hurriedly stuffed in your clothes inside a suitcase.
daiki took a while to process everything but was quick to follow you to the bedroom, “babe please, we can talk. i swear i will listen to everything you have to say.”
“you just listened dai kun, listened to everything i had to say. i am done now. i am not even sure if i want to see you again.”
daiki never knew that words could hurt so deeply cause that last bit struck him, struck him deep almost like it gnawed away a huge portion of his heart. a heart that he did not even possess for years now cause he gave it to you, in its entirety.
there was a car honk outside and he just watched wordlessly as you walked out of the apartment. how the hell did akashi come so quickly? or maybe its daiki who has lost track of time cause by the time he ran downstairs to try and stop you, you had already ascended akashi’s mercedes and left.
there, you were gone. his iris lit up with only the red from the tail-lights of the car, it was blurring at first but as the car went further away, it became smaller and smaller till it was only a small speck. you were only a small speck, or smaller cause he could not make out your figure in the passenger seat anymore. you were too far from him, too far. the only sound he heard in the lull of the night was the thud of his knees and the slight crack of his bones as they met with the sidewalk.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
“are you sure about this?” akashi’s voice lacked the usual confidence and luster.
you nodded at once, “yes. i am sure. it is way past the final quarter, i should accept my defeat and move on,” you tried to make a basketball joke to lighten the mood.
akashi’s words died down in his throat as he just offered a small nod and kept driving. an hour drive later, you arrived at aida riko’s house where akashi left soon after helping with your luggage.
you watched his car driving away, a part of you wished that he went back to daiki and maybe checked up on him. you have never seen daiki that upset but the other part of you just could not be bothered to care.
riko ushered you back inside, the warmth of her house filled you with that same emptiness as you started crying again, your blurred vision moved from one corner to the other as you noticed the christmas decoration. it was christmas eve and although the decorative lights were turned off but you could just feel it in your bones how good and bright they would be shining around the tree, a feeling you could never experience in your own home in the past three years. it was just four walls and a roof, an apartment at best, where daiki resided for an hour or two, or less maybe if he skipped the foreplay and just fucked you and then even skipped the shower afterwards to leave again for practice at the crack of dawn.
“i am sorry, i must have ruined your christmas,” your voice cracked and you repeated yourself just to make sure you were audible enough.
riko was quick to hug your shaking form, her hand rubbing soothing circles on your back, “never ever think like that again.”
you tried to stop crying but you could not, instead you just hugged her form and kept crying for what felt like hours cause her arms always felt like an older sister’s would.
︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶︶༉‧₊˚.
feedback is deeply appreciated.✨

Tumblr media
kagami sipped on his wine glass, the taste gliding along his tongue. he felt the way it burned his throat a bit but his gaze was only focused on one person. you.
rather it was the person you're talking to.
you both went to los angeles for his game that was a few days away, and a concert of the arctic monkeys the week after. not this.
you were chattering all and about, yet he could feel the way his nerves were irking as he gripped the wine glass tighter. kagami burnt holes on the back of the man's head, somewhere within himself denying what he was feeling. jealousy.
he knew it was a contagious disease but he couldn't help it. why would he when kagami had you?
the booming music through this small bar-club typa building didn't even help at all. he could see from a few meters away his teammates, aomine with his girl, akaashi inspecting his surroundings, midorima sipping his drink with a distasteful look, murasikabara not having a care in the world as he was chewing the cherry and kuroko trying to stop kise from chugging down another drink. then he sees you.
talking to a man.
you suddenly came in to his life and stole his heart.
he had you, and you had him. your fingers wrapped around each other as your feelings were confessed on that night before.
kagami feels special as he looks at you, you were chortling and he couldn't even care about the man.
it made him feel special at the thought that you chose him out of everyone.
he felt so lucky, as if he just won a lottery prize as you cheer for him at his game, making him attain victory. he never knew were it started but you were the very person he needed.
the woman he loves who was the brightest star in his universe, a trophy that nobody has but him. to kagami, you were the river flowing down in a slow steady ocean in amsterdam. to kagami, you were the very air he breathes. the one who steadies him on the ground as the world crumbles behind him. you were his home.
kagami believed that love was an emotion that was passionate, something that everybody has to wait for. but when he looks at you, he can't help but be proud of the way he suddenly confessed his feelings back then. (albeit embarrassing to him.)
he could still remember the way your lips first felt like against his, hovering as if there's no tomorrow. kagami could still remember the way you wrapped him around your finger, forever stealing his heart as he did with yours.
it felt like yesterday, when the both of you were walking and he suddenly had the urge to clasped his hands around your much smaller ones. the beating of his heart against his ribcage and the clammy feeling of his hands wasn't something he'd forget. ever.
it already was embedded in his head the moment your delicate hands were wrapped around his calloused ones.
kagami could never forget this feeling. he will never forget the way he would get all jittery and nervous with the way you smile at him, or with the way you reserved a soft spot in your heart for him. like the way you did with yours, he had an even more softer spot for you.
anyone could see his gaze, kuroko was really wet from the rain yet he offered you his umbrella, leaving his light-blue haired partner sneezing the next day.
kagami could feel this feeling wouldn't fade. it was like you were his very memory his brain muscle can never forget, maybe like a broken record replaying over and over in his head.
it was no lie that you were really beautiful, yet a mystery to everyone. they couldn't fathom what was so different about you. they were intimidated with the way you gaze at them, yet the red hair saw nothing so different.
you were so perfect in his eyes.
everything, every moment and every second spent with you feels like time is slowing down. the laugh, the smiles, the echos of it all- you slow down time.
kagami could feel it, he feels like a kid- the happiness, the innocent touches, and the adrenaline rush. everything about it was so special to him.
it was like butterflies were the things he ate in the morning as he hears your laugh, even when his joke was so unfunny.
love consumed him. everybody could tell.
but what do they know?
do they know how you brighten up his day and make him so fuzzy? does everyone know that you make kagami so weak in the knees for you as you whisper sweet-nothings in to his ear as the monsters of insecurities come back crawling to him? would everyone know that your lips against kagami felt so right to him? that it felt so good?
you're the blood running along his veins, the pulse through his life. the heart his yearns for and has, and the way it pumped out with so much adrenaline and blood filling up his body. you're the seratonin that makes him much more happier and much more lively.
you were the adrenaline that rushed across his whole body as he plays basketball and he could hear, see you in the stands cheering wearing his jersey on. you were the the iron streaming along his blood. the one that functioned his heart beat everyday.
oh gosh, no dopamine swarming in his head can conquer his happy days with you.
and it makes him warm and fuzzy that you chose him. out of everyone. you could've chosen somebody rich and more good looking than him. somebody more who has self-control and discipline. but it goes all away out the window as you tell him "i love you and only you."
it feels like he won the lottery ticket that can conquer all his bills. yet he knows this isn't just a lottery ticket he won.
to kagami, you were much more than that. you were worth everything.
kagami could feel his jaw slacking as he sees you smile at the man. you know he's looking, yet you were teasing him with this.
clearly, you had no likes for the man. the wedding ring against your ring finger says so.
kagami knows your his. and only his.
but this man was no ordinary man, he could see the way this random man was looking you up and down. he even ignored kagami's presence when he walked up to you and dragged you away from where you were!
having enough of teasing the love of your life, you sauntered your way over to him with a smirk he's all too familiar with. that teasing smile of yours only pumping him up.
making your way to him, you let out a short chuckle with the way his arms immediately wrapped around your waist, wine long forgotten as he placed it on the side. he lowers his face to the crook of your neck where he could feel your pulse surging as he placed a lazy kiss over it, making you gulp and sigh from the sensation.
" were ya teasing me back there doll?" kagami mutters out lowly, face nearing below your collarbone. "if you're trying to make me jealous then it's working. you win the game now." his voice on your collarbone sent vibrations throughout your whole body as he placed another even more lazy kiss.
carding your way through his red tussles of hair, you chuckled at his admit of defeat, making him groan even more as his body came back to his full height. "aww, is my poor taiga jealous?" you teased out as you sent him a wide grin, only to receive a low growl from him.
"ofcourse i am, did you see the way he was looking at you? it was like he was a predator! i was ready to come swoop you out there!" taiga whisper-shouted in your ear as the grin on your face only widened.
"aw, but you know im only yours right?" you muttered out near his lips as your arms wrapped around his neck pulled him down to your height. breath fanning over his, making him groan lowly against your lips as you didn't make the move kissing him.
kagami's hand immediately went to the base of your neck, pushing it forward as your lips crashed on his. the kiss was sweet at first, which quickly turned passionate as he pulled you closer, hands around his neck as he circles small shapes at your sides.
kagami let's out a small groan as he feels you tug his crimson tussles, hands on your waist tightened more if that was even possible. you feel yourself move, kiss not breaking yet even when your back collided with the wall.
his teeth tugged at your bottom lip, biting it as you let out an incoherent sound. the loud sound of music filled both your ears but you didn't care as you tasted the wine he drank from before, you could feel his body all over yours.
taiga was so warm, like this kiss you were sharing. his hands being placed next to your head to the wall as his whole figure covered you from the view of the man you were talking to- paying him no mind.
your lover gave you no space to breathe as he pulled away but as immediately as he pulled away, he kissed you again. it was dangerous game to play like this with kagami-the jealousy of this man was really contagious.
but you loved the sensation he sent through your body as he places a few wet kisses on your jaw, making you sigh from the sensation as he lowered himself up to your neck to press more fervent kisses there before staring up at you.
"i wonder what goes through your mind, doll." taiga started as he finally went up to his full height. his red eyes stared at yours, eyeing you as if you were a prey as you stared back at him.
you hummed out as his hands went back to your waist, circling shapes around it as your hands were still wrapped around him. "you know how to rile me up. do you always have to do that so that you could get a big kiss from me? you could just ask me, you know?" he curiously asked, music so loud.
He knew what he wanted to say
But he didn't know how to word it
The dirty little Herbert was seeking an escape
The guiltiness that started
Soon as the other part had stopped
you smirked up at him, a glint in your eyes as you stared at him through your lashes. "baby what's the fun in that? plus you look hot when you're aggressive." you said out to him as he growled once more, tugging your waist as he lowered his face near your face again.
D is for delightful
And try and keep your trousers on
I think you should know you're his favourite worst nightmare
"if you wanted that then you could've said so, baby." kagami said so lowly near your ear, breath fanning over you ear lobe, making your face flush as he places his head on your shoulder.
you could feel taiga chuckle against your skin as it sent vibrations throughout your whole body, leaving you speechless. "speechless right now babe? im sure that man would've loved to hear more words from your mouth." he added as you groaned, face flushing as you buried your face on his toned chest.
"stop teasing taiga!" you squeaked out, face still flushed against his chest as kagami chuckled more. "but you did that to me, love. one can play the game too." he muttered out as you looked at him, cheeks coated with tinges of pink. kagami's smirk grew wider as he saw your face. victory.
"okay fine. you win!" you blurted out as he laughed, the sound making the flowers bloom once more in your chest. "that's what i thought. never knew los angeles was going to be fun this season!" he laughed out again, you soon joining as he left a small peck on your forehead.
los angeles was indeed fun this season.
and so was the kiss you shared with kagami.
d was really for dangerous.
you couldn't wait for more.

Ok I have another req! Could I request a fem reader x taiga who's used to guys only expressing interest in her body and sexuality and sexualising her so when taiga doesn't do that it makes her think that he isn't into her? Angst and miscommunication and misunderstandings but it gets resolved in the end!
Hiiii bby 💕 so so sorry I took so long to work on your request, it took me longer than expected bc the premise kinda hit too close to home and I had a hard time seperating my personal feelings from what I was writing 😭 here it is and I hope you enjoy it! I was very happy to write on Kagami for you again <333
Tumblr media
Doubts // Kagami Taiga x Fem! Reader
Tumblr media
Context: you're so used to boys sexualizing you that when a certain Kagami Taiga enters your life, you don't know what to expect from him anymore. Characters are aged up (18+) for plot context.
Warnings: college!au, angsty, reader is insecure, trust issues, implicit mentions of sex but nothing detailed so still sfw, Kagami being a bit oblivious, reader and Kagami have a little misunderstanding but it's resolved at the end <3 fluff towards the end bc I'm a romantic at the core 🥰
Tumblr media
The sun hits your face as you get out of the lecture hall, the sweet scent of spring reaching you and giving you a false sense of rest. It doesn’t last long; the other students follow behind you, and soon enough you are stuck in a crowd that wander aimlessly, following the flow when really you should be walking the opposite direction. It’s noon, you should be going home to a miserable sandwich, take a quick nap and wake up wondering if you truly want to show up to the next lecture or just do nothing for the rest of the day.
A voice calls for you, and you turn around, tired eyes opening up slightly when you recognize the silhouette coming towards you. Taiga runs to you, big body forcing everyone to get out of his way so he can reach you. And he does, Taiga with his honest smile, and his old backpack nonchalantly hanging on his broad shoulders. You smile, though your body tenses up.
“Wanna have lunch with me?” he asks.
You are tempted to decline the invitation, like every time he comes to you. It’s more a reflex than what your heart truly wants, and you are fully aware of it. So in confusion, you urge yourself to give an answer:
“Was heading home to eat, actually” you say, hoping that he’ll let you go.
But he doesn’t because Kagami Taiga never does. It irritates you in some ways, probably because you can’t make sense of it. He’s not the kind to hang out with you now, is he?
Kagami Taiga has always been the “out of your reach” kind of person.  A handsome guy that walks the campus by turning all heads, yet he appears somewhat oblivious – or maybe he’s grown accustomed to the looks he gets at everything he goes. He’s the one people invite to their parties although they barely know him, and the one girls wish they could date one day. He’s all that, with his cool aura, a constant frown on his face that make him look more intimidating than he really is, and his reputation as the best basketball player the university has ever had.
So, considering all that, maybe it makes sense that you’re suspicious when he’s suddenly taken a liking to you. It cannot be without intentions, and you suspect that they aren’t pure. It’s just something you know. Men always disappoint you.
Your friends tell you that you are dramatic for making such statement, and you’ve wondered for a long while if you’re just not too pessimistic. At the end of the day, men are humans too, aren’t they? What is the point of assuming that they’re not capable of love, or rather, of loving you? You’ve struggled on multiple sleepless nights, grieving the false hopes you’ve built for yourself – just because a guy said the right words, and hold you the right ways, and made your heart pound at the right pace. It’s always started like a dream, too good to be true, you’d repeat to yourself. Because it never took long for your prince to turn into a frog, dropping you the moment he no longer found pleasure in your body. And the circle would start again, with a new guy, and new words, new feelings, till he nonchalantly confessed how you were nothing more than a piece of meat to him. Always a “hump and dump”, so are you wrong, to be suspicious of all men?
“You know, I wanna cook for you one day” Taiga’s voice resonates as you keep walking out of the campus to reach your place.
“Why would you want to cook for me, anyway?”
It’s a genuine question – something like that can hold so many meanings, so you wonder what it could signify for him. You have your own meaning of it: you’ll only cook for the one you love. A gesture of love, exclusive, and that you believe you’ll never get to make, considering how things are going for yourself.
“I’m a fucking good chef, for one, and it’d make me happy to see you eat my food” he replies with his usual straightforwardness.
The romantic undertones of his answer do not go unnoticed and your heart pounds in your chest, despite all your efforts of keeping it down. Every one of his words, every one of his actions, takes you back to the days when you were just a teenager having crushes and dreaming of the kind of romance that you’ve got to learn doesn’t exist in reality.
“Well… we’ll see about that” you reply, not wanting to reject him as the tiny glimpse of hope that he is genuine guides your actions.
He smiles, striking you right in your most sensitive spot – it’s hard not to smile back, but you’d be a fool to do so. He’s no different from the others, you repeat to yourself. Yet, here you are, walking in the soft sun of spring and honestly enjoying his presence. He doesn’t have to do much or say much, his aura somewhat soothing to you. You feel like you’re falling for a spell, aware of it but still uncapable of resisting it. You sigh, looking at the time on your phone as you rack your brain for a way out of here. It’s not quite that you want to leave Taiga, but more that you need to. You fear what will happen if you extend these simple moments with him, if you let your guards down and don’t think twice as the space between you gets smaller, and smaller.
So, you need to flee the situation. For your own sake, for your own heart. It hurts you to leave him, but you’re convinced there’s truly a greater purpose to you digging the distance between the basketball player and you. But you fail, and you really can’t bring yourself from stopping him from walking you home. For a second there, you look up at the sky like it holds these answers you’re seeking for.
It’s insane, how your heart beats at the simple thought of Taiga. His warm smile, the way his hand lingers on your waist when you walk together in crowds, his voice when he calls your name – all so confusing, yet so consuming. And then you stop and think back to all those who were there before him. Those who praised your body at night and ignored your soul in the daylight. Those who charmed you with smiles and words, making you feel at the top of the world for a second, and made you realized that you worthed no more than dust the next second. It’s always promises of stars in your eyes, till it turns out to be nothing but dreams. It’s destructive, this circle you’ve got yourself into inadvertently. And you hate yourself for letting it get the best of you. You hate yourself for letting it install all these doubts in your mind. Maybe you’re too cautious, maybe you’re running away from a true opportunity; there’s just no way of knowing for sure. It’s simply that you’re brought to lose all trust in men, and despite the warmth Taiga brings you, he can’t be an exception.
He can’t be right? It doesn’t matter how he makes you feel, he’ll hurt you, too… won’t he?
But under the soft rays of the sun, he’s no more than a human that you love. You may inch away from him at each step, but he doesn’t give up. And you wait in frustration that he shows himself to be no better than others. The moment he’ll touch you with clear intentions of consuming your body, or that he’ll outright tell how you’re nothing more than an attractive body. He’s yet to say or do anything of that sort – does he even like you, in any way? Taiga has always kept a fair amount of distance, despite never leaving your circle. He stays in proximity, yet never comes to close, and you keep waiting for the moment he’ll reach and turn your fear into reality. You always wonder why he doesn’t do like the others, when he’s had countless of occasions to act. He’s never once let his fingers linger longer than needed on your waist, he’s never once looked at you with lustful eyes, he’s never once made a suggestive comment. But he doesn’t go away either, and here you are, confused and struggling.
“You never give me straightforward answers when you I invite you to stuff” he lets out.
You slow down, struggling to hide your reaction upon the realization that he’s somewhat noticed that habit of yours. Granted, you’re probably not as sly as you think you are. After months of him suggesting things that you may do together, and you answering in the most elusive way possible, maybe it shouldn’t be such a surprise that he’s noticed that pattern of yours.
“I really don’t, do I?” you try to laugh yourself out of the spotlight.
Yet, you fail. He’s caught you, and you still have to figure out how much has he picked up on.
“Well, you know me” he stops mid-sentence to stretch his arms.
You don’t say anything. Do you truly know him, you wonder. He seems to think so, but at the same time, it might just be a ruse. For all you know, you can’t never truly know someone. You don’t see how he’ll be any different.
“Just say it, if I piss you off” he reprises, “I’ve never been good at reading minds.”
“You don’t annoy me” you reply immediately, before you can even think of an answer.
It’s like something has taken over you, a part of you you’d usually repress for you believe it’s incapable of making sensible choices. You sigh, as a silence settles between both your bodies. Only the chirping of the birds and the sounds of cars passing by interrupt the quiet. It’s not comfortable at all. If anything, there’s a lot left unsaid. After each step, each breath, each side glance at each other, you feel the tension build up.
“Hey, d’you even like me?”
Taiga’s voice sounds up, snapping the tension in a sharp move. You’re defenceless, but somehow fishing for a semblance of barricade to build up.
“You can’t ask that kind of silly questions…”
“You can’t keep being avoidant like that.”
“Fuck.”
He’s really got you cornered. For some reason, the more it goes, the more you feel yourself crumbling. You feel like crying, yet tears don’t fall. You just have the feeling that at any point, you’ll just falter and break in tiny pieces in front of him.
“Yeah… you know what? I better stop right now. I sound like a fucking looser trynna pass for a nice guy. Sorry for being a bitch about my own doubts. They have nothing to do with you.”
You furrow your brows, stopping in your walk as you register his words.
“Are they real?” you ask.
“Huh?”
“Your doubts… are they real? Or are you just saying that to make me feel something?”
He ogles at you, seemingly shocked by your words.
“The fuck you’re saying? I just feel like I like you more than you do, that’s just it.”
“Yeah, but do you really like me, Taiga?”
You sniff, your deepest thoughts cracking through your barricade.
“Yes I do! I thought I was being obvious enough” he replies, eyebrows raised in incredulousness.
“Pardon me, but it’s hard to believe so” you reply, not daring to confront his gaze. “Guys like you…”
You stop before finishing your sentence. It hurts you to say these words to someone that you love despite everything. And you feel stupid enough for loving him, like you haven’t learned your lesson yet. You shouldn’t let him in, he’ll use you and leave you, like they all do.
“Hey…” Taiga’s is voice is soft in your ears, comforting, exactly what you need at this instant which makes you even more cautious of him.
“Leave it, Taiga. You don’t have to comfort me” you say as you take a step back. “You don’t have to be nice to me at all, actually. It’s pointless, because…”
You take a breath, wondering why it’s so hard to speak, yet as soon as you open your mouth, it feels like an unstoppable flow of words. Just all your deepest insecurities coming to the surface and embracing you in their vile hands, to the point where you are nothing but your fear of being used by someone you love.
“The moment you’ll realize you can’t get what you want of me, you’ll leave, anyways. They always do, guys like you.”
For a moment, neither of you speak. You can’t say more for your part, and as for him, he doesn’t know what to say. It’s rather conflicting; should he defend himself, or take you in his arms? Or should he, simply, walk away if the sight of him hurts you so much? Despite everything, he finds himself unable to move anywhere further from you. It’s like some force drives him to stay by you, even if you might hate him.
“I’m sorry” he finally says.
If you dare look at his eyes, you might be surprised by the sight. The flame that usually shines so bright in his eyes is almost inexistent, replaced by the wavering glimmer of humid eyes. Your overly cautious self isn’t quite sure what these words mean. It could be an admission of guilt, and that prospect shatters your heart in countless little pieces.
“What for?” you risk yourself asking.
“For not showing you properly how I feel about you. Have I been more straightforward… you’d probably think of me differently. You wouldn’t have to love me back, either way, but I’d have the comfort of knowing that you knew that I was genuine” he answers, hands digging in his pockets. “And I’m sorry I can’t prove myself to be better than the assholes who’ve treated you like shit before. Just say the word, and I’ll go. Or say nothing, there’s meaning to that, too.”
He doesn’t say a single word after that, the sound of cars passing by crashing between your two silent bodies. You feel the tears well up in the corner of your eyes, almost spilling but being kept there, on the edge of your eyelids. The seconds pass by faster than you want them to while you are yet to say or do anything. The more time passes by, the more Taiga feels something break in him. He’s never been really good at relationships – he isn’t a reader of people, and up till recently, he’s never really taken the time to reflect on the way he feels. But things somewhat changed when he met you, the heat you brought to his heart being a novelty he’s been on a quest to understand. And then he figured that it must simply be love. Maybe he’s been expressing it wrong, maybe he should have been more observant, he would have caught on the signs that you’ve lost all trust in others.
It takes everything in him to take a step away from you. Kagami Taiga has never been the kind to give up. But he still fights against himself and move, digging the distance between you. And at the sight of his tall frame going away, your hand reaches forward by itself. You tug at his t-shirt, forcing him to turn around to look at you. Teary eyes stare at each other as your fingers don’t let go of the fabric of his t-shirt.
“Could you… could you hold me then? Just once, to show me that you truly like me.”
Your request surprises him. Everything till now has been convincing him that you need him the furthest away from you, yet, when he looks at your pleading eyes, he realises that this might just be his window. Before he truly has to let you go, he should hold you the way he’s always wanted to.
And he does, strong arms pushing you towards his chest where you hear the erratic beat of his heart. You cry, as his fingers pat your head with a gentleness that you’ve always been craving. You don’t want him to let you go, and by the way he holds you, he doesn’t either. That much is made clear to you, and here in Taiga’s embrace you figure for once that maybe, yeah maybe, someone can truly love you.
“I don’t like you, dummy. I love you” his voice sounds smoothly in your ears.
Truer words have never been spoken to you, and they go straight to your aching heart, somehow mending it back together.
“You do?”
“Yeah, and I’ll prove it to you every day till there’s not a single doubt left in your pretty head.”

Just kuroko opening his old photo albums, looking back at his time in middle school. Seeing the photos of him with the miracles before everything changed. How happy and innocent they all seemed.
And then seeing the gradual changes in the photos as well. How Aomine stops appearing, and then so does everyone else until the photos stop being taken.
Until kuroko attends seirin and he makes friends and has a new light. And suddenly the blank pages are now filled with new friends and a new relationships.
But then Kagami leaves and life isn’t as bright anymore, it’s gotten a whole lot dimmer. But he still has everyone else, including the miracles.
But…
But overtime as everyone gets older. As they move onto university and jobs they stop meeting up. Promising to go out next time. That they were sorry for the late text, they’ll get back to him later.
Until they just stop replying.
And now the photo albums gather dust in the box he keeps in the cupboards.

AOMINE is the most self-centered asshole known to man. he tries his best to think about other people but his ego is bigger than his peen so...👀. deep down you know that you're never going to be his top priority. he's always going to put whatever and whoever he wants first, and that person will never be you 💔

I Don't Believe You- Aomine
Genre: angst
Warnings: none
Your day had been going just fine until you decided to take a walk. It was a beautiful day, with snow lightly coating the ground as you strolled through the park. You watched several couples walk by, hand in hand. Everything was serene and peaceful, totally normal for a winter's day. Until one couple caught your eye. They weren't holding hands, but rather they chased each other around, laughing and throwing snowballs. The girl was tall and curvy, her skin flushed and rosy. The boy, however, was strongly built with a tanned face. What stuck out most about him was his hair, though, it was an odd shade of blue, almost navy. It looked awfully familiar, too familiar even. There was no doubt about it, that was your boyfriend playing in the snow with another girl.
Your eyes began to well up as the pair came ever closer, but your boyfriend had yet to notice you. You sniffed, trying to keep the tears from running down your cheeks, but you couldn't stop your throat closing up. They ran past you, the girl's laugh ringing like bells in your ears, neither of them seeing you standing there. You were supposed to see your boyfriend that night at his house. It was your 6 month anniversary, and he was with somebody else. You couldn't stop the tears now, and as they began to overflow, you turned your back and ran home, praying nobody would look at you.
-A few hours later-
You rang the doorbell. Your eyes were dry, if still red, and you held your head up high as you waited for your boyfriend to let you in. A moment later, you heard the sounds of bolts turning, and the door swung open. Warmth flooded out from the apartment, and you were greeted by your grinning boyfriend. His eyes scrunched up as his smile widened, and he leaned forward to envelope you in a bear hug.
''Y/N! Happy Anniversary baby!'' He pulled away, too caught up to notice that you hadn't hugged him back. He stepped back, letting you see into his apartment. ''Come in, come in!'' You just stood there, looking at him. His smile slowly fell away. ''Babe? Is something wrong?''
''Is something wrong? I'll say there is, Daiki! I saw you with her! I saw you with that other girl today!''
''Other girl, what-''
''Oh don't you deny it Daiki! I just wanted to talk a walk in the park, but I guess you had the same idea, huh? You wanted to hang out with your side chick? Is it because she's bigger than I am? Because she's curvier? I know what you like in a woman, Daiki, am I just not good enough for you?'' Your words became slurred as the closing in your throat returned, tears threatening to spill again. ''Was I never good enough for you?'' Aomine took a step back, totally flabbergasted.
''Baby no! I never cheated on you! She's not like that!''
''Oh she's not like that? Who is she, Daiki? You always tell me when you plan on hanging out with other girls, why didn't you tell me about her? What did you want to hide from me, huh?'' Tears were flowing freely now, your words mangled between gasps for air. Aomine had to lean against the doorframe for support, his own breaths coming too fast and his eyes starting to glisten.
''She's just a friend, baby!'' You scoffed at him, preventing him from continuing.
''Just a friend? You tell me about all your friends, Daiki. Tell me the truth!''
''But- but it is! It is the truth, I swear!'' He was having a hard time getting the words out. A single tear traced down his cheek as he gazed at you pleadingly. ''Please, baby, you gotta trust me! She was just-''
''I'm sorry Daiki,'' You sobbed. ''But I don't believe you! I can't believe you anymore!'' You backed away slowly as his eyes widened. ''We need to break up Daiki, I just can't do this.''
''But-''
''Bye Daiki.'' You spun around and fled, ignoring his cries after you as you pounded down the stairs and out onto the street. You ran all the way home, your tears keeping you company, reminding you that you weren't good enough. That you never would've been able to keep a man like Aomine anyway. You were never good enough for him.
Aomineslowly closed the door. He rested his back against it, staring up at the ceiling. Tears began to flow harder as he gasped for air. He sank down to the floor, his body quickly become racked by sobs that shook him to the bone. He crumpled, burying his face in his hands as he tried to stop the tears that overwhelmed and blinded him. After several minutes of wretched sobbing, he worked his phone out of his pocket and dialed, hands shaking as he put it up to his ear. The ringing stopped almost instantly.
''Daiki! How did it go? Did she like the anniversary surprise we prepared for her?'' The tinkling, bell-like laugh rang sweetly in his ears. He hiccuped, trying to fight back the tears enough to speak. At last, Aomine choked out,
''She- she left me-''
part 2 anyone?

Ch 2. Nice to meet ya.
Summary > One > Two > Three
Aomine Daiki x Reader
‘'Ts a minor concussion”, you say while handing a water bottle to Aomine, “No need to worry.”, crouched on your hunches, you crease your lips and stand up.
While Kuroko helps Aomine up, you feel a confused chatter erupting between the men. Of course, that would be the case because no one knows who this new girl is who is talking in an American accent.
Alex puts her arm around your shoulder and pulls you towards her, “This is y/n everyone! She’s a close friend, so behave.” She goes to kiss on your lips when you put a finger on her lips, “You should get this habit checked out you know.”
Alex pouts removing her hand from your shoulders and you bow your head, “Nice to meet you everyone.” You speak in perfect Japanese, and the men smile and bow, returning the greetings with enthusiasm.
You look expectantly at Taiga, he puts his hand on your head and ruffles your hair, “I can’t believe you are actually here.”
You swat his hand away jokingly and give him a teddy bear hug, “Why won’t I? This is important to you.” Everyone’s eyes get bewildered in the shape of discs watching the caring side of Kagami.
Their fitness trainer Riko gives them the death stare, ‘’Back to practice everyone.” Her background turns dark and evil, and everyone just scurries away back to the court quickly.
“Except you Aomine.” Riko walks up to you, “Kagami told me you’re a doctor?” You nod your head and say, “He should be fine.” You turn towards him and smile reassuringly, “Just take it slow for a couple of days.” Riko nods and motions her head towards the bleachers to him.
Sitting at the bleachers, Aomine had been checking you out incessantly, takes in your appearance. You are not his usual type but you are beautiful in your own way. He likes the sound of your voice when you talked in Japanese, how your eyes crinkled when you smiled at him. He finds himself getting drawn to you and wants to know more about you. “Slow for a couple of days, huh?” He thinks to himself and rubs his neck smiling to himself.
After the practice gets over, he hears you talking to Kagami about how you will be here for the Olympics and would provide any medical support to the team while you are here. It bugs him how close you are to Kagami and wonders if you are his girl from America - which makes this pursuit even more interesting for him, he thinks devilishly to himself. “She seems nice.” Aomine jumps up in shock as Kuroko says this from nowhere. “SINCE HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN HERE?!” Kuroko smiles, “I have been here ever since you sat here.” Aomine rolls his eyes, “yeah whatever.”
You settle in Kagami’s apartment and rest down on the couch after the shower, your muscles sore from the long flight. You see a Basketball Monthly kept on the table, picking it up you notice the cover. It’s that boy from the court who got hit by the ball. You look closely at his features, your eyes wandering off to his blue eyes reminding you of the deepest and darkest part of a mysterious ocean. You remember looking into his eyes on the court, and find yourself smiling at the recollection. You shake your head to break out from the reverie.
You read his name, “Aomine Daiki.”

Kagami - unravel
repost of my AO3 30 days of writing Challenge
warning: angst
Tumblr media
You only know what you have when you lose it. As a kid, the greatest riddle to him was how to make friends. „Be yourself.“ Tatsuya told him, so that’s what he did. It worked, kind of, but Kuroko made him understand that he also had to work on himself, learn how to trust, and be helpful. It took him even more time to unravel the mystery of friendship, but at age 30 he was the one lecturing his daughter on how to make friends in school.
As a teenager, a lot of his free time is spent wondering about love. What it is. How it could be achieved. Did he have to look for outer beauty? Alex told him no, but no one ever guided him in finding this inner beauty everyone talked about. He’s a bit ashamed that it was Akashi who taught him the most important things, at one of Kise's stupid parties, where they hid on the balcony to escape the madness and somehow started to talk. Akashi can be pretty nice and helpful if he wants.
At the age of 20, in the middle of his college years, he scores a date with the help of – no wonder – Akashi. She’s beautiful on the outside, yes, but she’s kind and a bit shy but speaks her mind if needed. She’s a riddle to him, yes, because he can never fully grasp the beauty of her mind.
He finishes college, somehow manages to play in a team with Aomine and not kill this guy every single time in practice – and marries the love of his life. Kuroko is his best man, Akashi smiling wickedly in the distance and telling everyone that the lovely couple wouldn’t be together if not for him. Well, he doesn’t really say it. He doesn’t need to, everyone already knows.
When his daughter is born, a redheaded ball of energy, every miracle in the world does not come up to her. There’s no way to explain what he feels when he sees her, when he holds her, when he knows that she belongs to him, just like his wife.
When Sacchi is one year old, the biggest task in his life is thrown upon him. He ponders how he will survive the next minute, the next hour… the next day. He worries if he can be a single father, how he has to fill the empty place where you should be. Death is a simple word, five letters, but it shatters lives.
Riddles are a funny thing. Life seems to him like threads upon threads, a messy knot, and even if you manage to unravel one knot, there are always so many more.
He’s thirty now, a single father. Sacchi is four, just starting to make friends on the playground, fighting against the shyness she has from her mother. The Generation of Miracles, he muses, consists of six people. And somehow, he muses that it must be Akashis doing, every single day he gets visited by one of them. They have done that for years now and if you count in his old teammates from Seirin, who visit just as frequently, and Tatsuya, who he is still very close… yes, Sacchi has a lot of uncles and aunts. It doesn’t fill the place of her mother, but it’s helping.
Kagami Taiga knows now how to make friends. How to keep them. Theoretically, he knows how to find love – although he still isn’t in the shape to try again soon – and he is starting to think that he knows now, how to survive a tragedy. Be yourself. Trust. Love. Try again.

Over it
Return to File
Recovery date: March 12th, 2024
Description: You may have left it behind, but you can't just let it go. They offer you a chance to "go back" on your own terms.
Note: I don't normally do notes for these, but i did want to say that this one is more melancholic than angsty. I got the idea for this piece ages ago but could never quite figure out how to word it, and I think this is as close as I can get while keeping it general.

Sometimes you want to go back. They can see it too.
They see it in the vague movements they catch you making when they come over. The ones you act out unconsciously when the itch strikes. It’s still muscle memory, even if your strength and flexibility aren’t nearly what they were.
“Do you miss it?” They ask one day.
You’re both in the kitchen making dinner, and you’re mocking out an old practice exercise. You don’t stop what you’re doing when you look up at them, legs still moving about.
“Sometimes… some of it.”
“Why did you stop?”
Whatever the reason you left, be it injury or environment, it’s obvious to them how much you still miss it. They can see how bad it kills you inside, how even though it's been a few years the wounds haven’t healed, but they can also see how you aren’t over it. There’s something about it you miss, that-
“I’ve thought about going back, just on my own terms, but I don't know… something about it feels wrong.”
“You don’t have to go back to any kind of unit,” they offer, “we can just do it together.”
For the first time during your conversation, you pause. A small smile pulls at your lips.
“That sounds fun.”

oh, how we bled for each other
They hated us as much as they loved us. We were kings, bleeding in the nights they punished us and crying when they didn't. Scars don't fade, sometimes, staying open and bleeding. (Miracles, some called us. Monsters, others named us.) (Either name was apt for the six of us, terrors and stars that rose too fast and took a long fall.)

This is so well-written and just so amazing how you're able to capture Akashi's personality and background well. I really love how you wrote for the y/n to be very strong and outspoken for Akashi (we need more strong y/n fr). I really love this, I was so dang invested✨️😩 I'm beyond happy that I found this acc fr, we need more KNB fics fr cuz this anime is underrated👏👏

I’m glad you liked my Akashi Seijuro headcanons, anon!! I really liked this request too, and had a lot of fun writing it!
I’m taking a few liberties with Akashi’s father’s personality to write this scenario (as I really can’t figure out a way to work it in with his personality as portrayed in the series), but I hope you enjoy it all the same!
Good lord this ended up being way longer than I was expecting so I’m going to treat this as a one-shot instead
also i suck at coming up with titles
Declarations of the Heart (One-Shot): Meeting Akashi Seijuro’s Father
