BASKETBALL STANDS HONESTLY IT REALLY DOES FEEL THAT WAY... like its stated in the series that not everyone can enter the zone (similar to how not everyone can have a stand) and how you need unwavering passion for basketball to enter the zone and every one of these basketball players has their own conditions for entering the zone (so similar to how stands can represent a person's fighting spirit that is unique to them)

here are a few major differences

non-zone users can see others in the zone whereas as we know only stand users can see stands

stand users actually say their cool moves and stand names outloud, which allows their opponents to know! whereas in kuroko no basket, i swear that these guys only think their move name and then suddenly everyone on the court knows that kuroko is using "PHANTOM OVERDRIVE" when he first uses it or that when kise finally unlocks his special ability everyone is like "ITS PERFECT COPY"

i dont know if you're familiar with assassination classroom or saiki k, but people like to say they're all in the same universe because the protags of kuroko no basket and saiki k made a cameo in assassination classroom and in those shows there are also colorful haired people with powers

ANYWAYS YES!! it really is so absurd which makes it so fun!! its funny id say in the beginning its slightly more realistic and then after a certain match its literally fuck it we ball

Actor of the Day: Tano Asami

Today’s actor of the day is Tano Asami! She was born February 12th, 1987 in Hyogo prefecture. She attended the Okinawa Actor’s School, and made her entertainment industry debut in 2011. She is both a stage and voice actor, and a former member of the idol group BOYSTYLE; their music was used for an opening of One Piece! Her voice talent has been featured primarily in tv anime series, most notably in the Precure series and Love Live Sunshine. And her most notable anime on stage roles to date include Aida Riko in Kuroko no Basket: The Encounter and its sequel Overdrive, Beast in Kuroshitsuki~Noah’s Ark Circus~, Kirijo Mitsuru in Persona 3: The Weird Masquerade, and Mamushi Hojo in Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Guren-hen. We look forward to seeing more work from this very talented young woman!
