Hello, today the aide of Honmaru is Heshikiri Hasebe. I used to be Nobunaga's sword then Kuroda Nagamasa. But now, i belong to my aruji and forever i will do anything for aruji. This December of course i will do my best until New Year come- ah no, in entire of my life. My life is for aruji.

Who is your favorite Kasen artist, or just tkrb in general. Any recs?

of course it's homerun ken

#1 is obv promineco (knsd-centric, draws insane surrealist contexts + psychologically thrilling manga, scratches my izukase itch. a fanartist after my own heart). then there's ichiya (knsd/izukase + myu. very cute comic plots), midorimen (rlly good hosokawagumi + sanadagumi + kobizen. pixiv), CUBE (some of the best blushing kasens ever. has tousani), ponzu (kasen and osayo fluff <3), en (mainly kasen + aoe. i'd die for that painting style)

and some others: TKC (recurring tosa-gumi, rlly cool illustrations and even cooler animatics!!!), raden (their illustrations w all the swords gathered !!!!), yuuki (swords-hugging-konnosuke series. random sword thirst traps. hasebe suffering ig), tancho (kunihiro kyoudai + kanesada-ha fluff), datou (odagumi + morigumi + kurodagumi. fudou is slowly climbing in my sword rankings)

some hasebe being good with children?

so... i’m personally not good with children at all. the thought of me raising a family squicks me out so bad i can hardly stand it. but i think hasebe is a good older brother(?) figure in spite of my hang ups with children. some thoughts under the cut.

in basis, we have zoku hanamaru- episode 7, when the other tantou ask hasebe what they can do to help cheer hakata up. while he’s not the one who directly answers (nihongou is), he does still entertain the idea. i don’t think he’s cruel or mean when he’s a little apprehensive when it comes to hosting a festival in the first place. there are, what, 60 (after the fact edit: 58) swords in the citadel at that point, which can get quite rowdy. also, it’s expensive.

he also does have appearances to upkeep. he has to be the responsible one, you see. he can’t just say “yes”. he’s got to go through the proper channels.

nevertheless, the festival still goes through. he makes no mention of the master after giving the happi to the awataguchi, and instead sticks with hakata to console him during the light rain shower that happens before monoyoshi comes back.

“don’t be discouraged, hakata,�� he says, with a smile in his voice.

can you tell i’m starved for hakata and hasebe content? or just, kurodagumi content in general? if anyone has any please send it to me because there is no food.

anyways, extending this to headcanon territory- while hasebe is gruff and distant (as he usually is), outside of duty he’ll gladly watch over the tantou if need be.

he will be a bit stiff around them- i imagine he’s also a little socially awkward when it comes to shooting the breeze- but he won’t scorn them. who would scorn the tantou though.

he’s like a strict older brother who’s had to grow up mostly on his own because his parents weren’t the greatest. he cares about his siblings and will make time for them, but he has about ten other duties he’s juggling, so they might end up taking care of him, too, while he looks after them.

he won’t cave, though. he has rules that they should follow- at least show a little decency!

he has a particular soft spot for hakata, though i iagine after fudou comes back from kiwame, he’s more willing to rebuild that bridge that both of them burned.

Was just thinking about how Hasebe's Kiwame apparently has symbolism with Christianity and I think,

WHAT IF

Fate AU and Hasebe was adopted by Nagamasa who died and Hasebe is the church guy that moderates the HGW? And like, we can have factions and stuff or something???

And like the mage clans could be the Japanese clans + swords or is we just don't want to include historical figures as modern ppl, just the swords like, Kurodagumi, Odagumi, Dategumi, Hosokawagumi, Shinsengumi swords or we could spilt it up like by sword type (wait nvm that's a bad idea) or by the schools, Sanjou, Gou, Horikawa, Samonji, other... etc... like, wouldn't that be interesting??

It’s been two days so far since one of his younger brothers was send off for his kiwame training. The saniwa had already received the second letter saying how Hakata Toushirou was doing. Which it seems he was doing well and saw one of his previous masters, Lord Kuroda Tadayuki. He trusts the short blade that he would be okay while watching his old master. He wonders if Nihongou knows as well. Him and Hakata-kun do spend a lot of time together since they(along with Hasebe) are know as the Kurodagumi, from his understanding anyhow. Well Hasebe might still be away with the other group looking for resources. It wouldn’t hurt to go check on the spear blade. He must be outside either drinking with Jiroutachi or taking a nap somewhere. Lucky it didn’t take long to find Nihongou. 

“ Nihongou-san? “ He asked to see if the other was still awake or just enjoying watching the cherry blossoms petals slowly falling like snow from the tree.
