Lawrusso is my favourite ship but I also find Ali x Daniel and Kumiko x Daniel cute too so I wanted to see what Sam and Anthony would’ve looked like if Daniel had stayed with either of them. I used faceapp for this so there’s two versions for the son and daughter and it’s also a little awkward looking but I thought it would be fun.

Next up is Chozen!

Chozen is gay.

Now I think in his teen years he was a lot like Johnny and had a bit of internalised homophobia but I think since he’s a lot more gentle with Daniel as an adult than Johnny is he was able to find healthier ways to deal with his issues and his trauma and was able to come to terms with his sexuality a lot sooner. He still has days where his past gets to him but he’s found healthier ways to cope.

He most definitely had a crush on Daniel and it annoyed him so much. He tried to disguise it and his anger at Daniel when he first met him was helpful in hiding it. I genuinely thought that in the club scene that Chozen was going to tell Johnny that it was Daniel he loved and I was pretty thrown when he said Kumiko lmao.

He always felt like he couldn’t tell his uncle but he definitely got to a place later in life where he could discuss it with him and still have support from others if he didn’t support him.

Even after everything Kumiko took time to listen to him and support him. She could tell that he had a crush on Daniel and both understood how it felt to love him. Chozen used to feel a little jealous that Kumiko was the one who got to date Daniel but once he was older and dealt with his anger he never blamed her or resented her. It still upset him a little but that’s natural.

When he reunited with Daniel later on he was happy that he could have a happier and healthier friendship with him but his feelings definitely returned.

Since I see Daniel as bisexual I definitely think in a version where I don’t have lawrusso happen Daniel would definitely develop feelings for Chozen after reuniting with him and after splitting from Amanda (they both remain really good friends) he is able to start dating Chozen once they realise that they both like each other. They have such a gentle and sweet relationship in the latest season so I think they’d have a happy relationship. Chozen is so happy once he’s dating Daniel.

Daniel definitely found him attractive too but then again I think he’s attracted to most of his enemies.

Chozen is ready to fight for Daniel he loves him so much.

Hi! Shipping doesn't have to match with canon. Enemies to lovers is a very popular trope so if two characters have chemistry or are low-key (lol) obsessed with each other, that's where the fun for shippers begin. (For many of them at least XD)

If you watch Cobra Kai you would find a lot of love-hate relationship develop that ends up with them being family/friends who respect and like (and hate XD) each other. But also act like a married couple in their fifth divorce from time to time. (among so many reasons to ship them <3)

Who is Charlie? (I doubt you mean the one from next Karate Kid? ^^;)

Daniel is in love with Ali in the Karate Kid, who is Johnny's ex, that's where the rivalry begins but they have broken up in Karate Kid 2 where Daniel falls in love with Kumiko but they broke up in Karate Kid 3 where he meets Jessica, who has a boyfriend, but a hot cousin who ends up being Daniel's wife Amanda in Cobra Kai. But she also ships Johnny and Daniel.

how do I even begin to explain alisusan? alisusan is flawless. they have twelve (12) ship tag mentions on ao3 and i hear their ship name is insured for $10,000.

more seriously i really do love them. i love when fandoms collectively create a ship out of thin air (which is much of the same for dutch/jimmy) and i LOVE the dynamic of pining friend x oblivious friend. i also think the fandom’s characterization of susan is extremely funny (lesbian who Hates Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso So So Much) literally she is so me (i love them to death). and well, i am never saying no to wlw ships because 1) there are so little!!! 2) i Love Women.

i love dutch/jimmy lots too! i find it more complicated to write myself than some other cobra ships because jimmy is a very barebones character BUT it makes it great to come up with whatever you want (and also susan herself is also very very up to interpretation). dutch/cobra ships are kind of my fav, i love that guy (he is a crusty white dog who bites people to me ❤️)

chozen and kumiko could be SO CUTE! im not exactly a fan of how cobra kai is always trying to get everyone in a relationship but i do like this one… hypocritical of me a bit…

i just think it’s sweet! i think chozen is such a fun character in cobra kai who has changed so much and deserves to be happy and i think if kumiko ever wanted a guy who would DEDICATE HIMSELF TO HER HAPPINESS, well i know a man for her.
