He is old-fashioned and does not have toys, his partner may have some but deep down he is jealous of them. Come later, he reminds himself that he doesn't have them often and doesn't resent his partner for having them.

This is Hanamichi, a technical member of Enies Lobby, but not for the purpose you should be expecting.

For every actor, you’d need a stage hand, even if the stage is the actors realm, the shadow is for the their hand. Hanamichi is attached at Kumadori’s hip, always shoving petals aside or picking them up to rethrow them, his purpose is solely to aid in theatrics. His mute nature and long stares however do unsettle some members, but, he’s otherwise absolutely unbothered. He’s simply called, dehumanizing enough, Kumadori and his.. whatever it is.

It’s speculated among the members on what exactly the relationship the pair have but, we aren’t sure… nobody is, and it weirds them out.

since its (almost) his birthday, how about either headcanons or a scenario for Kumadori getting a surprise party that was planned by his s/o who's in cp9? like maybe the s/o was trying to like. have Kumadori think that they didnt get anything for him for his birthday, but then later he comes to see this whole birthday party that they planned just for him?

i’m sorry this is so late soph! i don’t have a reason other than being busy and a lack of motivation, but i really hope you like it!!!

Kumadori had never really put stock in his birthday, since his whole life was lived on the go and he was hardly ever around the people he had come to consider his family. Whenever the other agents were around, he would get a cursory round of “Happy Birthdays”, but it never went further.

At least not until he met you. 

When you found out his birthday was coming up, he suddenly felt this odd hopefulness that you would acknowledge it a little more, but those were dashed when you hummed and nodded but didn’t seem to think anything more of it.

Over the following weeks, he noticed you acting a little suspiciously, like ducking off with Jabra down the hall and, when asked, stated you were going to town with him. It wasn’t strange per se, but it was unusual. On top of that, he caught you conversing with Kaku more than once, at which point you would both quickly clam up and refuse to tell him what you were talking about.

A week before his birthday, he found you walking and mumbling to yourself as you poured over a list of some sort in your hands. He hadn’t seen you all day and was feeling down because he had returned from a mission that morning. As soon as you caught sight of him, you quickly tucked the list away, pasting on a fake smile that he saw right through.

“Oh, ___, do you not love me anymore? What could I have possibly done to deserve this? How shall I ever make up for my transgressions?” he asked, getting down on his knees in front of you. “I shall give my life. It is the only way I can atone for my sins.”

He hadn’t even let you get a word out, but you started laughing and stayed his hand before he could bring the sword down. “Kumadori, I still love you, you silly goose. I’ve just been busy with personal business, I’m sorry. Why don’t we go do something tonight, just the two of us?”

That appeased him that night, but your strange behavior only got stranger the closer it got to his birthday. Kumadori being himself, he never guessed it had to do with his birthday because no one had ever paid it any attention before, nor did you bring it up again after the initial conversation. So he attributed your strange behavior to himself and was clingier than usual, following you around like a puppy and making it hard for you to get anything done.

The day of, Kumadori woke up and you were gone. Instant sadness overwhelmed him because there wasn’t even a note saying why you had to leave. While he hadn’t expected a gift or anything, he hadn’t expected you to completely forget. 

He crawled out of bed and slunk down the hall towards the kitchen, and was surprised to find it devoid of any people, which was unusual this early in the morning. Now suspicious, he went hunting all over the Tower of Justice looking for anything. As far as he knew, all of CP9 was supposed to be there at the moment, but oddly he could find no one.

Around lunchtime, Jabra appeared. It was the first time Kumadori had seen anyone else all day and he was just considering another round of seppuku when he came into the common room.

“___ needs you, Kumadori! Come with me!” he said, yanking on Kuma’s arm and dragging him in the direction of the docks. As they rounded the corner towards the door, he could suddenly hear people chattering. They didn’t sound panicked or unhappy, leaving him confused.

As they busted through the door, the noise stopped and everyone who had been missing all day turned to look at them. He stared at them all, very visibly confused, until you stepped out from the crowd holding a small birthday cake. As there were only 8 members of CP9– minus Spandam, but no one wanted him there anyway– it wasn’t very big, and Kuma almost collapsed from happiness. 

Just in time, you managed to set the cake down because you were suddenly swept up in a tight embrace. He was nearly sobbing with happiness, so much so he couldn’t even formulate his thoughts. 

Later, when everyone had settled down with a slice of cake, you were seated in Kuma’s lap, feeding him bits of cake from your plate. He sighed suddenly and you turned a little, looking up at him. “What is it, Kuma?”

“I thought you had forgotten my birthday, my love. You were ignoring it so much that…Well I was going to take my own life if you had,” he said, on the verge of tears again. He hid his face in your neck while you laughed, pouting against your shoulder as they shook.

“I would never do that, Kuma. I just wanted to surprise you! I’ve been planning it with the others for weeks,” you answered, pressing a kiss to his hair. “Do you like it?”

He nodded emphatically and you could practically feel the poem ready to spew forth. Sighing, you smiled and jumped off his lap before he could accidentally dump you off in his excitement.

Cp9 celebrating Halloween 🎃 👻

Rob Lucci:

Loves Halloween and take it very seriously. Dresses up as some hybrid Vampire Leopard guy and makes a bat outfit for Hattori, uses actual blood to make it realistic, helps Kalifa set up Halloween decorations (if he has the motivation) and uses real skeletons from his past victims who rotted, makes a good job on setting Halloween decorations but Kaku doesn't like it since he gets creeped out by the fact Lucci used real skeletons & blood

Blueno:

Doesn't like Halloween because kids keeps on knocking on the door to Trick or Treat and that annoys him but still helps get candy for the kids. Doesn't even dress up for Halloween, just stays at home doing nothing but give kids candy. Sometimes he'll even use Trick. When kids gets more than the candy limit, he'll use his Devil fruit to scare them from behind, which he finds very entertaining. Also he guards the candy box from Fukuro, who keeps taking the candy and eating it for himself

Jabra:

Likes Halloween because he gets to scare kids. Dresses up as the Big Bad Wolf by using his fruit. He scares little kids and takes their candy and run. He helps Lucci collect blood from pirates or bandits who fights them. His favorite part of Halloween is scaring Kaku since Kaku falls for it every time, something he hates about Halloween is that kids tease him by saying he's too old for Halloween, which pisses him off.

Kaku:

Kaku either hates or loves Halloween. He dresses up Giraffe Skeleton (basically a giraffe dressed up as a skeleton), something he hates about Halloween is the decorations Lucci puts up & Jabra's pranks. But he tries to act calm and cool and go Trick or Treating with Fukuro and Kumadori. He uses the extra candy to give to kids when they go Trick or Treating to their place but sometimes Fukuro takes candy in the candy box where Kaku puts to give to kids, so he told Blueno to protect the candy box from Fukuro since Blueno doesn't wanna attend Halloween.

Kalifa:

Loves Halloween since it's really fashionable and cool. She dresses up as a Witch, she either helps Lucci set up the decorations or preventing Kumadori, Fukuro, and Kaku from doing stupid stuff by going Trick or Treating with them. She's nice to little kids and protects them from Jabra.

Kumadori:

Kumadori ADORES Halloween. He dresses up as his mom (a skeleton) IM JUST KIDDING! He dresses up as a Lion and goes Trick or Treating with Fukuro, Kaku, and Kalifa. Every Halloween, he always asks Lucci to join him for a duo costume "Lion and Simba", but no matter how many times Kumadori has asked Lucci to do it, Lucci denies and always say in detail that he is NOT a lion whatsoever. Whenever Kumadori feels like it, he steals some candy from kids by using his hair.

Fukuro:

Loves Halloween, why? Because candy. He dresses up as Frankenstein and goes Trick or Treating with Kumadori, Kaku, and Kalifa. He often steals candy from the candy box but since Blueno is guarding the candy, he doesn't take it much often so he steals candies from little kids. He gobbles up his candy after Trick or Treating. Sometimes he stops Trick or Treating just to Gossip to random people about drama and tea.

Hattori:

Helps Lucci with decorations, dresses up as a bat, and that's basically it. Sometimes when Blueno doesn't noticed kids grabbing candy over the candy limit (which is 2) Hattori pecks them with his beak and steals their candy to refill the candy box

Spandam:

Doesn't even participate in Halloween, hates everyone.
