That's a decrease on most metrics, but my word count is very comparable to last year, and I had no idea my subscription count had broken 200! Cool! Especially as I wrote some kind of out there fics this year, I'm very touched by that people want to stick around. I feel like I also do kind of absurdly well for comments, so thank you guys for that.

Fun Stats: 

Fics Published: 25, including one on anon, for 186,620. This is down from last year's 31, but my word count last year was 198,621, so we're pretty damn close!

Number of One-Shots: 22— It was another year of going hard on exchanges, and that encourages one-shots! Of those, 14 were under five thousand words, so I'm pretty pleased with my objective of learning to write short was actually enacted, when I was experiencing deadline pressure!

Number of Multi-Chapters: 3 total, and one still unfinished. I didn't start any new ongoings and leave them unfinished this year, but I still have multiple languishing from 2022, and I didn't finish the one of those I was working on this year, so— augh. I need to stop doing events and finish some of those ongoings! But events are so good...

Number of Inspired Works: 3, because I participated in recursive exchange, where you write fic inspired by other people's fic and art! One of those was inspired by an animation, which I'm very proud of.

Longest Fic: You Blew Me Into Stardust (42,846 words), my beloved mech au. I did two fics for the aufest reverse bang, I also wrote Trying Hard Not To Smile Though I Feel Bad (16,254 words) for Aufest, which is a college au! The minimum for that event was 5k so I— went overboard a bit.

Shortest Fic: I just posted it actually, that's How To Make The Secret City’s Speciality Dessert - Roasted Brown Sugar Oranges And Buttermilk Ice Cream  (912 words), that's a zine fic where we had a 1250 word maximum! I love this fic, and I'm so proud that I managed something short.

Most Kudosed Fic: Gonna Have It Out Like Fight Club, which is a bit unfair because that one has been acquiring kudos since 2022, and is now at 213 kudos. My poor neglected child the mafia fic I HAVE THE REST OF THE FIC OUTLINED I just keep writing things for events instead of writing you.

Most Viewed Fic: That's Gonna Have It Out Like Fight Club, with 2,220, but again a bunch of those are from last year, so probably my biggest fic is Trying Hard Not To Smile Though I Feel Bad, my 13-things-I-hate-about-you Niki & Ranboo au, at 1,457 hits. That one I honestly did not expect to get as big as it did, but I guess people like the comedy.

Most Subscribed Fic: Gonna Have It Out Like Fight Club, with 82 people wanting to know how that one ends. I"M SORRY. I"LL FINISH IT I PROMISE. I did notice my subscriptions to fics overall fell— people were still subscribing to one-shots last year, and this year I guess people realized that was not panning out.  

Most Bookmarked Fic: okay so it LOOKS like it's Gonna Have It Out Like Fight Club at 73 but I can count dates so I can tell that only 28 of those are from this year, wait I forgot about private bookmarks. Hm. Well anyways the one I'm sure was bookmarked this year was Things Could Be So Easy (If You Let Them), my first real intentional shot at writing QPR emduo with a proposal, and boy having THAT unlocked was a delight. That one has 52 bookmarks.

Most Used Fandom: Dream SMP with 13 fics, and SMPEarth in second place with 5. I wrote 9 different fandoms this year, technically.

Least Used Fandom: this is A MULTIWAY Tie as Internet & Social Media (Anthropomorphic), Murderbot Diaries, Books of the Raksura, Original Work, Origins SMP, and Parkour Civilization are all at 1 fic.

Most Used Rating: Teen, 18 fics. I wrote my first two explicit fics this year, both for exchanges!

Least Used Rating: Gen, 1 fic.

Most Written Relationship: Technoblade & Phil Watson | Philza, 10 times, UP FROM NINE LAST YEAR I'M DOING BETTER.

so while that might seem like a lot of user subscriptions, I actually started 2024 with 6,815 so I lost nearly 500 user subs over the course of this year, which is understandable given... well, everything that happened in 2024 with this fandom. (Of course that's still a huge number of user subs I'm so grateful for but I just want to point out I actually lost way more than I gained this year which had not happened to me in previous years) My word count also only increased a little over 200k words which is a much smaller amount of growth compared to my previous years which, again, it's been a weird year to be a writer in this fandom especially with my focus so that makes sense for me lol

oh man, I gotta read that! I started it a long time ago but haven’t checked it in a while. Confession time from me - it was literally days ago that I realized bookmarks and subscriptions were not the same thing, and it was also the first time I’d ever clicked on the ‘statistics’ tab and ao3. As we can see by the fact I have more Ordem fics yet it's mostly QSMP on the list, I spread my writing between more characters in ordem. But only by so much given over 1/4 of them have Rubens

In other fun stats.......

On ao3 there are, at time of writing, 728 Ordem Paranormal fanworks in all languages. I have written 90 of them, accounting for a little over 12%. In English there are 277 Ordem Paranormal fanworks, so around 32% are mine.

In the past year specifically, there were 352 new Ordem Paranormal fics, so exactly 25% are mine. Of which English 197, meaning a little under 45% of English Ordem Paranormal fics from this year are mine.

Of course a lot of my works are on the shorter end, so says nothing of comparative word counts.

I am also the only writer in the Ordem Normal ao3 tag, though I know at least one other person who has written for it in English here on tumblr.

I would say about elsewhere but my Portuguese is extremely limited, and so its tricky for me. And I only post on ao3 and tumblr.

Number of One-Shots: 11, most are from early in 2024 when I was partaking in fandom events. I started slowing down in the fall semester due to my physics class (it's a miracle I passed fr)

Number of Poems: 5, same situation for one shots. All the poems from 2024 were written for events

Number of Multi-Chapters: 0 from this year, however I still have an unfinished one that I've been slowly working on. I like to think I'll start posting the chapters for it this year 😅

Longest Fics:

🏆 show me how to lay my sword down (10,170 words) a gift for a friend, and omg it's my baby!!! I'm so proud of how it came out and it inspired me to make a series and ahhhh I could gush about the details all day 💛 It's also the 2nd longest fic I wrote in total

🥈 By September I will be a ghost (3,526 words) A gift fic for a horror event. IIRC this was the first time I wrote horror and wanted to challenge myself with moods of unreality and unease (I like to think I did a good job on it too!) I talked to my friend while completing it, and I just want to note she wanted me to make it sadder

🥉 Mother, I think I want to be human (2,965 words) Fi 🥺 my baby! I finished Skyward Sword earlier in the year and by the time Flufftober was occurring I was missing her badly. It didn't help with Tri in EOW and I just alkvjsb I just kept thinking of Fi and her farewell scene!

Shortest Fic: to be a villain (127 words) is my shortest poem for this year and i’ll ruin us all my dear (607 words) is my shortest one shot/ficlet. Both were written for an event.

I don't know who y'all are (please reveal yourselves if you're one of my subscribers) but thank you so much! I know 8 subscribers isn't a lot but to me it's more than enough. I'm absolutely delighted to know that 8 people like to read many of my works!

And then there are those who only subscribed to a specific fic! It might be a bit below 81 if anyone is subscribed to more than one fic but there were 39 subs alone for The Storm Before the Calm and that also gives me so much joy!!!

Dead before Midnight, Chapter 4 Posted!

When Harry closed his eyes, he saw flashes of intelligent, scarlet eyes and pale, translucent skin. He saw long pianist fingers holding an even longer wand, the way the tall man nearly glided across any floor.

He heard, “Mine.” 

He felt possessive, cold fingers clawing up his neck as icy, excited breaths exhaled against his forehead. He’d sensed Voldemort’s exhilaration as he’d spilled his knowledge of Harry’s flower, and the self-satisfaction that had flooded him afterward.

In retrospect, Harry had found it odd that Voldemort had such in-depth knowledge of flowers — an oddly romantic topic. But perhaps he’d known of the fate his mother met, and cared enough to research different flowers after her passing. After all, he’d taken revenge for her— and for himself— by killing all three Riddles.

And if Voldemort could care… did he have any capacity to love?

“You-Know-Who’s that fascinating, huh,” Ron muttered wryly, sounding vaguely horrified yet amused.

That's an increase in everything except subscriptions, I had a good year. It was the year of many smaller fics, mostly, with just a few longfics.

I am particularly touched that user subscription count, that people want to stick around to see everything I wrote, especially as I broke into a new fandom this year and did some Original Work. Thank you all for coming along for the ride!

Fun Stats:

Fics Published: 31, including four on anon, for 198,621 words

Number of One-Shots: 28— I went pretty hard into exchange this year, and that encourages oneshots. I only wrote one multichapter for a bang, one for an event, and finished one ongoing from last year. Of all of those however only 2 were under a thousand words, so I did less sort of treats and drabbles than I did last year.

Number of Multi-Chapters: 3, 4 if you count the one that's still sitting at one chapter that I might continue someday. Ulp. Okay so the good news is all of those multichapters are finished, but the bad news is I still have multiple ongoings from the previous year that are just languishing. Did I mention I went hard into exchanges this year?

Number of Inspired Works: 3, two of which were because I participated in challenges where everybody writes a fic inspired by the one in front of them in the chain! And also Droid wrote me an excellent phandom shubbleandwilbur fic. :D

Longest Fic: Freaking Out In The Middle Of The Street (With The Complete Conviction Of Someone Who Has Never Had Anything Actually Really Bad Happen To Them) (28,369 words), my silly worldbuilding nonsense multichapter, but I started that one the year before, so if we only consider the ones I did entirely this year that would be my bang fic, A Hundred Things You Have Not Dreamed Of  (27,743 words). I had a lot of fun with dehumanized human weapon recovery with that one.

Shortest Fic: Taking A Break (335 words), basically an overgrown drabble that I wrote on tumblr when people were challenging me to write anything as a QPR. Soley put on tumblr to help boost up a relationship tag (misskristin/missa/philza).

Most Kudosed Fic: Twenty Minutes After The Family Dynamic is Forcibly Assigned By The Government , at a staggering 568 kudos for a fic that isn't even a thousand words, which is just proof that if you write something while the kettle boils at the exact moment that a fandom is exploding and it makes it to the top of the tag, it can stay up there for a while. People are STILL reading and kudosing that one and I don't even know how they find it.

Most Viewed Fic: Freaking Out In The Middle Of The Street (With The Complete Conviction Of Someone Who Has Never Had Anything Actually Really Bad Happen To Them) , at 3,629 hits! However, 1,528 of that is from last year, so really the hits for this year are only 2,101, so my top hits is A Hundred Things You Have Not Dreamed Of , 2,990 hits. and that is 100% the power of being a daily-updating multi-chapter, the hits on that one exploded for that reason. But the hits on multichapters are always higher.

Most Subscribed Fic: Freaking Out In The Middle Of The Street (With The Complete Conviction Of Someone Who Has Never Had Anything Actually Really Bad Happen To Them)  again! 87 Subscriptions! But a full 76 of them are from last year, so we're back at A Hundred Things You Have Not Dreamed Of, with 49 subs.
