As soon as he hears the sound of raised voices from around the corner, Daesung was slightly worried about what he was going to come across. Not that it was unusual to come across people fighting in this dump, you saw it all the time and he liked to just keep his distance from all of it. However, he soon found that this time he couldn’t as one of the people involved was one from his own clique, and being leader, he could hardly just turn and walk away. 

The poor kid was a freshman and was being harassed by some tall guy he didn’t recognize. From what Dae could hear the kid had promised to do the other’s report and now couldn’t. Well, this just wouldn’t do and without even thinking about it, the sophomore marched forward and was quick to put himself between his clique member and the other kid. “Leave him alone,” was the first thing he said, glaring up at the other kid. Dae was trying to look intimidating, but this never really worked no matter how big he tried to make all five foot four of him seem. 

He turned his head a little towards the freshman, telling him to get lost before turning back to the taller kid, “I’ll do your damn report, leave him alone.”

Rue didn’t mind handing out punishments. Maybe it was the sadist in him, but he actually kind of enjoyed it sometimes. Even if it was someone like Yohan, since he had already learned quickly that it seemed as if Yohan could be quite the little shit on his own too.

When he approached Yohan after practice, he was silent for a moment, as if either staring the younger student down or sizing him up. When he finally spoke, he was moving away to pick up some tools to clean the pool with, like a net. “Here,” he mumbled, shoving the net into Yohan’s hands. “You’re cleaning the pool until I tell you you don’t have to any more. One week or two weeks or six months. Maybe you should get on my good side and attend practice like you’re supposed to, hm?” He narrowed his eyes and then went to take a seat, pulling out a water bottle while he continued watching Yohan. He wasn’t planning on going anywhere until the other student was finished with his task.

Now, Jiyeon wasn’t a very strict person, but she was the co-captain of the high school swim team and liked to take that position (somewhat) seriously. So when one of the team members had been missing practice multiple times, it was her job to do something about it.

She spotted Yohan walking across campus and jogged over to him, calling out his name. Once she reached him, she grabbed his arm to make sure he’d actually have to stay and listen to her. “Okay, we gotta talk. You’ve been missing practice and we kind of really need you there, so Cap told me to find and scold you.”

Dramatically, Jiyeon cleared her throat. “We are a team and as such we gotta stick together no matter what, yeah? I also have days were I don’t wanna come,” that was a slight lie but one she could afford, “but I still show up all the time, and not just because I’m co-captain and would get my ass handed to me otherwise. So you really gotta make an effort to show up all the time, yeah? Or at least text if you can’t come or something.”

Once she was done, she let out a breath and let go of Yohan’s arm. “So what’s been keeping you from practice?”
