ksyejun:
feat. ksxara
For the first time Yejun sat in a designated public drinking house - aka, a bar. The lights were dim and illuminated the bar with a soft orange glow, but shadows still fell and stretched into dark, mysterious corners. Thinking about all the potential murderers that could be waiting for them in that corner, Yejun squeezed his palms together and took a deep breath. “A-Ara-shi,” he began, looking over to the woman who had dragged him out “why are we, ahm…here?”
When he drank he did so alone, usually in the studio to calm his nerves. Losing his inhibitions around other people wasn’t exactly his idea of a good time, and with every ticking second he felt himself growing warmer underneath his jacket. “I don’t think I like this kind of thing” Yejun confessed in a last effort to convince her to whisk him away to a safe haven away from cold, judging eyes.
There were countless decisions that Ara had that could be considered reckless. A spillover from her youth, Ara hasn’t fully let go of that kind of life, although she can admit that she has matured a bit. But Jung Ara was a rebel through and through and she’s unable to let go of that. So when she heard about this kid who was trying to be the world’s youngest grandfather...well, she took it upon herself to bring Yejun out and let him have some fun once in a while. “Why shouldn’t we be here?”, she asked back, her tone full of mirth and amusement.
But she could understand why he didn’t like staying in the bar much. If anything, bars here were way too different from the izakayas in Japan. Bars in Korea were loud and to an extent, much more annoying to deal with, but she wanted this kid to experience letting loose with someone. “Well where do you want to go, kid?”, she asked as she drank a big gulp from her beer, the bartender shaking his head at her half-heartedly; she was regular enough for the bartender to know who she was. “Relax for a bit, kid. Just finish a drink with me and when you’re still uncomfortable, we can leave.” She wasn’t going to force him if he didn’t want to, after all.

ksxyongjoon:
it was just a waiting game on joon’s part now after they’d hung up as she went to get the lawyer. joon didn’t exactly have a clie who she was coming with, but he at least trusted her enough to make good decisions when it came to this, and he was just glad that she’d even picked up his call in the first place. that was kind of the most relieving thing about this situation. but it was as he was sitting with the others, waiting to hear any news, that he finally got called out with the message of ‘his lawyer had arrived’, which alerted him that ara had managed to get through, and to deal with the officers. and without much more word than that, he was slipping through to the conference room as the officer let him in.
“i told you i’d be fine.“ he rolled his eyes a little then, but he wasn’t in the best mood with being kept in a cell after all, and it probably showed with his more bitter tone. but really, who could actually blame him in this situation?
She clicked her tongue at the younger rebel because of course he’d give her attitude. The heiress heard the lawyer clear his throat and she narrowed her eyes at the clear indication that he was amused at the whole situation. “He reminds me of you,” he said, that clear glint of knowing too much and it was then that Ara let out a scoff. “Don’t be ridiculous, this is a brat.” She sat up straighter and faced the rebel leader then, staring at him for a good period and said, “what happened? Tell us everything. We’re getting you out on bail and then having them drop the charges.” After all, it wouldn’t look good on his record if he was only out on bail and not because he was innocent of all charges.
And then she remembered this kid’s other half. As he talked to her lawyer, she couldn’t help but narrow her eyes at Yongjoon, her mind already suspecting something amiss. It was a little unusual to not see the jock leader barrelling in and she couldn’t help but admit that she was actually expecting it to happen. But when nothing had happened and she wasn’t getting calls from him either, Ara had assumed the worst. “You didn’t call your boyfriend up, did you?”, she cut in instead. As much as she understood his reason behind it, Ara was pretty sure that if Ryosuke ever found out what happened, the jock leader was going to be pissed.

ksxshannon:
Wandering around the gym, Shannon was surprised that she hadn’t fallen with her high heels on. She picked up the ends of her dress, carefully making her way through the throng of students and staff alike with their masquerade masks on. Some she could recognize easily, others were difficult to figure out. She hadn’t been there for long and already trouble had been brewing. She wasn’t too shocked by the news though, with both the high schoolers and college students attending the ball. Noticing a brawl occurring, Shannon glanced over at the commotion both amused and annoyed. “You kinda have to expect the unexpected when it comes to us. Things are gonna get worse as the night goes on, especially now that there are high schoolers.” She gave the other an apologetic smile. “If anything, you should’ve made up an excuse for not coming.”
A brow raised at the girl beside her. She was a student, no doubt about that. She sounded like someone who didn’t understand how the adult world of work worked and while she could care less if she lost this job or not, she found herself being the responsible person for these children as she was the head of discipline. “I’ve learn to expect nothing good from the students. I’m more impressed when I’m proven wrong.” Yongjoon was one example, so was that one inferior kid who was always with Yongjoon’s boyfriend. “That doesn’t work that way when you’re staff, kid.” And frankly speaking, she needed a drink right about now.

ksxsying:
after being told there was nothing good about the school, it made her happy to at least see that they could hold something like this in here. that they could make a run down place look so.. well, amazing really. and it gave sying the option to dress up and feel like she was wanted when taejoon has asked her to be his date, and granted, she knew she probably wasn’t a first choice or really one anyway, but it was nice for someone to ask her. it was nice to have someone that wanted to take her too. but she caught the edge of what the staff next to her had said then, and sying noted who it was after a moment anyway. “d-did you expect.. any better?” because sying had a feeling things were going to be messy.
the young kid looked great in the dress she was in and her mask just the same. way different from the rest of the people who came with just some nice dresses and suits; this kid went all out. if this kid doesn’t win belle of the night, people are dumbasses. but ara couldn’t see if she had a date or not and she wants to ask but she’d rather not. she just felt a little bad that the kid had to catch her in one of her perpetually bad moods because of course the administration would assign her this task. “no. but i could hope,” she answered curtly instead. and then she felt a little bad that she took the brunt of her annoyance. “beautiful dress, kid.”

ksjitae:
minsu frowned for a moment, before his eyes rolled at her words. “you know he can’t help it, and you can tell him to stop and he will.” minsu might’ve thought of lux as a brat, spoiled and irritating and forever trying to get on his last nerve whenever possible– until jitae came into the picture and then he was a goddamn angel. not that minsu could really say anything to that. but still, he was his older brother, and however irritating the brat was, he was still defensive over him, knowing that he was the way he was for a reason after all. “coffee.” he sighed, moving over to the couch then and laying down, propping his head against the arm so he could try and ease the headache forming– “minsu, yea.” it would probably be just him until tomorrow anyway, so all he could hope was that he could get some kind of decent sleep hopefully at least. or that today was just uneventful from now. minsu did sit up a little when the cup was passed to him though, thanking her quietly before answering her question. “lux, probably. i think anyway– jitae was around this morning, but he’s tired so he’s asleep. and lux took off as soon as some kind of confrontation happened. dead on my feet. shattered. i was sleeping before this happened, and because all three of us have been around today my head feels like it’s getting pounded by a hammer.” he grumbled, free arm dropping over his eyes to hide the light for a moment. “what time is it?”
ara herself rolled her eyes at minsu. while she understood minsu’s defensiveness over lux, it was just a running joke between her and lux. “lighten up, it was a joke,” she pointed out. god, why did she always deal with grumpy people? was it a curse? was this her punishment? “seungcheol busy?” ara knew she wasn’t the first choice for these three considering they had their own caretaker with them but if minsu went here then that meant either seungcheol was out with a class or some student asked for an appointment with him. she’s more amused when he goes out drinking with jian considering jian was the biggest grump she met. then again, she was dating said grump so maybe it wasn’t that much of a stretch. she opened her drawer and pulled out aspirin for the younger kid to take and a bottle of water from the fridge. the bottles of alcohol were still there, but she was particularly proud of the fact she didn’t drink them anymore—not in campus at least. “here. take this for your head.” she sat down on her chair again and inhaled the aroma of her chamomile tea, calming her instantly. “quarter past ten. take the day off, i can write an excuse slip for the three of you.” it must have been hard after all, and whatever the brawl was, it had scared lux into bringing his big brother out. “if lux has calmed down and you’ve rested enough, can you ask him if he could name the dumbasses who were fighting? i’m writing down their asses.”

The hall was adorned with ethereal designs, to the point where she didn’t recognise it was actually the school gym. What a cliche. Of course they’d use the school gym to hold the masquerade. But who was she to judge? The ball committee did a great job transforming the blasted place into a nice and grand hall that she almost didn’t believe it was Keisung. But then some high schooler had gotten drunk because of the spiked punch and a brawl was in the works. Jesus, why was she in charge of discipline? Her whole outfit was being wasted by being babysitter to these overgrown children. “One night. One night, and these brats don’t know when to quit.” God, maybe asking for a quiet night was too much to ask.

ksxtaeyun:
he still didn’t really get why she was asking him about the rebel leader. if she was honestly that interested she could be asking yongjoon himself, or maybe ryosuke as tae was quite sure he would be good at answering these questions as well. better than he himself could answer them, anyway. “i’m not complaining, the less i have to put up with him, the better,” it would also avoid putting the dorm in mortal danger because they had to be in the same room for more than five minutes. “because they are less likely to piss me off again if they know i am going to punch them,” he offered with a shrug, “if i hadn’t done anything, the kid would have kept annoying me.” this was just assuring himself some peace and would now mean he would never have to deal with that particular high schooler again. “you are aware that the rebels and the inferiors have always been enemies, right? that probably answers your query.”
“i’m sure,” she said then, hiding the amusement at the memory that yongjoon literally said the same thing to her when she found him taking a nap in her office again. it’s a wonder no one mistook taeyun and yongjoon as twins; they were even more alike than the shameless park twins that sora liked to hang out with. “i can’t believe—it’s either they’re less likely to bother you or they might want you to teach them how to shut people up.” she’s seen it happen with yongjoon after all. he suddenly had a flock of children following him around like he was some sort of idol being stalked. besides, did this kid not know of hidden spots in the academy where he could have the peace and quiet he was craving for? “hmm, that is a point.” but she wasn’t going to continue the thought she had about taeyun and yongjoon. hell, wasn’t yongjoon’s bestfriend an inferior anyway? and that kid that his own boyfriend considered to be his own son was an inferior as well. “i wouldn’t be surprised if you get in a fist fight with him either.”

ksxsangmin:
he blew on his freshly cleaned knuckles with a scowl on his face. “don’t blame me for making you work, blame the kid who instigated the whole thing,” he grumbled. his face scrunches in distaste as he remembers the argument and follow up fight with the other student. he sighed dramatically, slouching even farther into the chair a leaning his head back. “listen, lady, contrary to what everyone thinks, i don’t just fight people for no reason. that would make me a sociopath and i’m not one, i’ve been tested,” he reasoned, “this little fucker really was asking for a beating. talking shit with his friends like he was better than me, but when i cornered him he tried to run! so i grabbed him by the collar and if i punched a wall a few times, but then changed direction and hit him instead then so be it. the moral of the story here is, don’t run your mouth when you don’t have anything to back you up,” he shrugged.
she had half a mind to berate him for being so short-tempered, almost ready to bite back, until she remembered that maybe she was like that as well. “remember to clean that up every four hours,” she reminded him instead. and then the attitude came back and jesus christ, she really did not have the patience to tolerate this bullshit today. “listen here, brat, i’m going to be dealing with that kid when they send them to my office soon. or if you see the kid, give them this note,” she said as she wrote and signed the call slip, leaving the name blank and letting sangmin write the name later on instead, “and tell them i’m expecting them in my office. today.” frankly, ara didn’t give a shit about the explanation, but even she knew that keisung was a hellhole to begin with. “moral of the story here is don’t be fucking dumb. he was talking shit with his friends but why did you go and corner him like that? god, you’re both dumb. he was dumber but you’re just as much of a dumbass as he is.”

( in my game )
( @ksxzychul )
Jung Ara was getting a headache from the “case” they gave her. In her hands was a thick folder about just one person—one student—that she didn’t understand how the RAs let it escalate this much before finally giving her everything. They just made her job harder than it already was and it pissed her off because now she had to meet this kid. But when she looked through the case, she let out a scoff at how uptight the RAs still seem to be. Jesus, what the fuck is up with RAs in Keisung?
She saw how it was a matter of concern—these were knife sets and the kid was continuously breaking the fire hazard code after all—but this could have been managed if they brought the incident to her earlier than now. She could slap them with a warning but now she’s being forced to write out a decision and she hated being responsible for anyone’s ruin. In any case, she still needed to meet the kid. And then she opened the door, finding her secretary, and said:
“Get Yum Zychul to my office now.”
The name rang a bell and she had a sneaking suspicion as to who this person was, but the only way to find out was to meet this kid in person. She just hoped she was doing the right thing.

ksxyongjoon:
joon was at least thankful that she answered, knowing that sometimes ara had a habit of not for the fact that well.. he could understand why she wouldn’t pick up sometimes anyway. but joon didn’t call often, and never by a different phone anyone– not one in a police station that was only used for those needing to make their one call either. that wasn’t something that he’d ever really expected to have to do, or wanted to do. it was up their with running from the cops, because that wasn’t shit he was getting involved in. but of course, the world is fucked up and here he is now.
“jesus christ, ara.“ he muttered, sighing after a few moments. “i haven’t said anything to them since they tried to interrogate me on what i was doing, and why i was there.“ which they hadn’t listened to a single word he’d said anyway, and that was why joon was still here. “look, i just want to get out of here on bail or in general, so just do whatever but hurry up– they think because i’m my father’s son i should be in jail too.“ which wasn’t something that joon would admit to just anyone or any day either, because most people knew little about his father, or even the fact that he was in jail. or well, was, but that was still just knowledge to himself. “i’m in the seoul detention centre already, that’s where they’re keeping us for if this goes to trial– which is probably would.“
she let out a scoff when he shifted from calling her noona to just ara. she shouldn’t even be surprised anymore but it still took her by surprise anyway. “well how the hell would i know? some random number starts blaring up on my personal phone and then you tell me you’re arrested?”, she shot back as she shifted to her bluetooth piece as soon as she got to her car. she was going to send jian a message when her hands are free. “are you fucking kidding me right now—tell them that jung ara will arrive and that they shouldn’t touch one hair on your head. not until i arrive.” she hangs up the call before speeding—at least as much as the legal limit allowed her to—to the company building as she called one of the lawyers she trusted the most.
not even half an hour later, ara and her lawyer arrived at the precinct and had immediately demanded to be taken to where yongjoon was. it took a lot of patience on her part not to snap at the desk officer on duty when they initially refused her request. if it weren’t for the fact that her lawyer whipped out his papers and said he was officially yongjoon’s legal counsel and ara was the one who hired him for the rebel leader, she was pretty sure she was going to fight. when they finally took them to an empty conference room, ara and her lawyer waited until the police fetched the rebel leader from where they were keeping him. and she wasn’t liking the fact that this was going to take longer than necessary—or even the thought that yongjoon’s boyfriend might not even know what went on with him. and as soon as yongjoon arrived, the first thing she said was, “oh thank god you’re okay.” and a relieved smile is on her face then.
