my name is unit 4402 but my friends call me 4402. i don't like to take my tactical gear off but you can recognize me as the writing director of KRONOPRISM, a non-profit game studio creating fan games for NIJISANJI EN.

a million and one thanks to everyone for being patient with me while i've been keeping this project secret. and of course, a billion and two thanks to everyone on the kronoprism team. they've all been a delight to work with and i'm honored to say that i am one of them.

making a game has always felt like a far-off dream for as long as i can remember. anything is possible. working on this project has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life and i've learned more that i ever thought possible through it. being able to see this project grow from the ground up into something tangible has been incredible to say the least.

i have a lot of love for everyone involved in this project, and i cannot wait to share it with everyone in the community soon. thank you to everyone who has given me even a second of their time; without your support i never would have made it this far into something that's given me so much joy already.

btw i made a guest appearance on @crystillyzed's scrapbook memories luca route stream. they're one of the directors of the scrapbook projects and you can hear some dope commentary from the both of us on the production of the route, plus the occasional sob over how adorbs luca is.

and if you weren't interested already... i was the writing director of the game! i wrote for the luca route and prologue, so if you enjoy what i have on my blog (especially my occasional longfics like stars above your skin and trading a heart), consider checking out the game

morning reblog for the masses, and personal thoughts from me under the cut 💛

i apologize for my yapping! i'm writing this post right after making some announcements on my social media accounts, and scheduling it to go public later.

it's for that reason i'd think i'm so happy but it's much more than that. being a kronoprism member has been incredible. i know i must sound like a broken record but i can't stress it enough! the team always finds new ways to amaze me even when i expect them too, and they always knock it way out of the park than what i expect.

as the writing director of kronoprism, i've had the privilege of watching scrapbook memories start from the ground up. the artists blow my mind every time they release something new for the game. the writers bring up so many great ideas and points and i'll admit i've learned a lot myself just by working with them! and of course i can't forget the rest of our studio, who have coordinated with us and our requests wonderfully.

seeing individual elements is a treat, but when they all come together... the first time i saw our visual novel in motion, with assets and text and art and everything, it was a pure joy stronger than anything i've felt in a long time. too much to put into words, too much to keep down.

but hopefully, a tiny, tiny bit of that joy can pour into the experience for you when scrapbook memories is released to the public at a future date.

i know i'll continue to learn more and more as this project continues! i've noticed my writing style evolve as i've worked with this project and my confidence as a writer grow.

i've mentioned before that making a game was one of my longtime dreams, and at risk of being cheesy, i think kronoprism has helped me accomplish one more dream: finish a large project. i've struggled with this for a long time even though i have so much i want to get out into the world!

perhaps it's because kronoprism is made up of so many capable creators and just as many lovely souls that i can see myself succeeding. i'm beyond thankful to have shared my 2023 with the beautiful souls in this studio, pouring all this jumbled creative energy into someplace i can concentrate it, and make a few people smile while i'm at it.

the rush of posting on my social media has faded but the happiness still stands, warm and comfortable. that is what kronoprism is to me: a constant joy. i wouldn't trade this feeling of gritting my teeth and trudging through and creating something for anything.

please keep your eyes on kronoprism. be sure to check official posts for any team members who have announced their inclusion in this project, because you will not be disappointed in what they can do. our key visual and both the kronoprism and scrapbook memories logos at the top of this post were created by amazing artists credited in the original posts.

but above all else thank you for your time, support, and energy. i'm a greater unit than i was yesterday because of this project, and the day before that, and the day before that, all the way to last year when i made my first post. i would never had the guts to join a project as massive as this if someone didn't give me the time of day even just to read. that person is you. thank you
