And episodes 9 and 10 of the “Frozen Podcast” were released, let’s get to them.
9 - A LIGHT IN THE DARK
Starts with the obligatory break for the soldiers digging where they discuss Queen Disa's morale
Anna after dinner and opera (I don't know how many of Wolfgand's 57 songs she heard) goes to Disa's room. Disa reveals that she left because with Wolfgang asking about the automatons she couldn't handle the guilt she felt although Anna herself tries to say that no one can last long with Wolfgang. Anna again reinforces that she forgave Disa until she felt that the place became warmer, Disa explains that she has been working on Wolfgang's lamps using the copper he gave her to enhance and transform them into heaters and a way to turn them on inspired by Bruni which reminded me of a lighter. They then begin to talk about Elsa, about the qualities of the Snow Queen, but Anna states that no one can compare to her, making herself almost invisible in the face of her sister's magical talents, but this does not necessarily mean that it makes her a better queen. Anna once again reinforces Disa's scientific skills, which is something that not even Elsa herself can achieve
In the morning Disa delivers the new lamps/lanterns to her people who are amazed at the improvements in inventions. They start talking about Disa's inventions and how her father would be proud of her, but she claims that she wouldn't be since her kingdom was flooded, but the group of people boost her morale by stating how well she has been taking care of them. But when she goes to walk away, she comes across a child from Sankerhus carrying a toy made of ice by Elsa, which leaves Disa impressed with the Snow Queen's skills in creating something so beautiful with a simple movement of her hand, and later she finds Anna's sister at her show doing anything they ask. Disa praises Elsa's creations, who seems interested in talking to the other queen about the Sankerhus sovereign's own creations, but the conversation is interrupted by the people of the kingdom presenting how Disa's inventions have helped their lives, which Elsa herself calls of magic. Then someone asks Elsa to make something out of ice for Queen Disa, the black woman tries to avoid the subject, but the Snow Queen says she would love to and just by looking at the other woman she can understand her feelings and create a telescope for her, which impresses Disa with the immense detail and functions. Disa then says that she needs to go check her ship, but wants to meet Elsa again and they arrange that before the Snow Queen leaves back to the Enchanted Forest she will come and say goodbye to the Queen of Sankerhus
Upon arriving at her ship, Disa meets Kristoff who has brought wood to help repair the damage. Sven appears to be a little afraid of getting on the ship and crossing the water, but Kristoff grabs the wood and climbs up next to Disa, having a little difficulty walking on it due to the rocking of the ship in the water. They end up going to Disa's workplace, which is quite messy, while she talks about being there as her private moment away from people. Kristoff says he understands Disa's side and mentions the trolls, another surprise for the Queen of Sankerhus. The woman creates a theory that it is because Kristoff knows trolls that magic doesn't surprise him, Disa shows the telescope made by Elsa as one of those examples of magic that can appear out of nowhere and she doesn't understand, Krisoff says that is exactly what point: magic is not something one understands which confuses Disa as a logical person and scientist. Kristoff tries to help her understand magic better by comparing it with the unpredictability of life, but all this mystery around magic, real magic, disturbs Disa. Then the conversation turns to the automatons where Disa doesn't want to disappoint Anna again although she continues working on them, but I guarantee that they won't leave her work table. Starting to leave, Kristoff ends up tripping over the wood he brought because of the rocking of the ship, letting them fall on one of the spiders, which freaks out and starts running around the ship.
10 - ABANDON SHIP!
Back to the soldiers digging. They are looking forward to the sequel after the new cliffhanger. The female soldier defends the creation of a friendship between Elsa and Disa although some are skeptical, but she says that Anna has never been wrong about her view of people except in the case of Hans (although his name is not mentioned) adds another although the woman still tries to defend Anna
Inside Disa's workplace, the two try to control the spiders that have gone crazy, but end up creating even greater confusion as they try to deactivate them. The automatons end up destroying a good part of Disa's things and even damaging the ship, which begins to take on water
Meanwhile Wolfgang is still taking care of his opera with Mattias, Olaf and the couple of birds participating in the song. But Magnus ends up drawing everyone's attention to the window where they can see Disa's ship that appears to be sinking, and so everyone comes together to help
At the same time, Anna says goodbye to Elsa with a hug, but says she wants the next visit to be a simple game night. Anna then begins to name the participants: the two sisters, Kristoff, Olaf, Sven, even Elsa herself mentions Disa, Anna is happy that Elsa wanted to include Disa in the game night, but Elsa was talking about Sankerhus' ship that was sinking
Mattias ends up meeting with the sisters, he claims he doesn't know if they are under attack, but asks the woman to stay safe while he and his troops investigate the situation, but he doesn't even finish the sentence and Anna has already left
Unable to contain the automaton or repair the ship, Disa gives the order to abandon ship. But due to the confusion, they end up having to escape using a rope, being helped by the crew, and jumping into the water since they don't have time to get to the boats. The only good thing in Disa's opinion is that, as a result, the automatons got out of control would be deactivated with the sinking. Anna, Elsa and Mattias come to rescue them, and Sven scolds Kristoff for having doubted his fear of boarding the ship.
Before Disa can explain what happened, the ship ends up capsizing and sinking, and to her surprise, all the automatons that Disa was working on emerge from the water to cause new confusion in the kingdom.

Movie Review: Faith-based sci-fi? "The Shift"
My favorite Neil Simon play is probably “God’s Favorite,” a broad comic riff on a man tested by God…and an obnoxious family. It’s based on the Biblical Book of Job.” “The Shift” is a big screen sci-fi spin on that same source material, even more “loosely based” on The Book of Job. Here the faithful man (Krisoffer Polaha of lots of Christmas TV movies) isn’t all that faithful and is tested by…

I am going to point out just little things I've noticed so far that are bothering me without watching further:
1, All of the characters look like other Disney characters, and I know bunch of them are supposed to be dwarfs from Snow White, one of them very obviously, but their faces looks explicitly like they're other versions of Krisoff, Elsa, Anna, and their mother from frozen, to the point where I had to pause to check if that is just a frozen character. It feels like they didn't design new characters at all, just mixed bunch of features together on toggle.
2. The premise is awful. There was once a man who wanted to 'protect wishes' so he became a sorcerer and built his castle on an island and bunch of people moved in to have their wishes protected. This means all those people had to leave their cultures, their roots, their homelands, to go live on that island, just for the having a wish protected, which means they were likely vulnerable people who weren't well grounded in their surroundings, and this place was practically made to lure them in and have them live there cut off from society. And THEN 10 minutes in you find out that the way wishes are protected is that they're cut out of their memory. They don't even remember their own wishes. Where is a wish safe if not in the heart of the one who wishes?
3. As soon as we find out wishes are cut out of people, we know the sorcerer is the villain because who does that to people. He probably feeds of of them or finds it more easy to control people once they're void of their one life wish and don't remember what they're on about or what their agenda is. This is toxic relationship situation I hate it. Why is the movie still acting like we don't know who the villain is.
4. The visuals are so explicitly reminiscent from other disney media it's hard to believe they weren't just stolen. The first scene of the island reminded me so strongly of the town in Tangled, it felt almost like the exact same place. Here's what I mean:
The differences in these two pictures are so minimal, the angle and the colors and the shapes, this is copy+paste+reduce the number of houses. I've already seen this exact place in another movie! And they had the nerve to write 'kingdom like no other'.
The characters at one point in a song start drawing with chalk on the pavement and it was also viscerally similar to a scene in Tangled where they're also doing the exact same thing. The entire town feels like only slightly modified Tangled kingdom.
5. Another place that felt like a mix-match was the sorcerer's office, as soon as we get in I understand that this is Dumbledore's office/library from beauty and the beast. Just emptier, no clutter, no knick-knacks, no magical instruments, no anything, basically absolutely nothing in there except a bookcase, except when we get close to the bookcase, it's decorated with symbols from Frozen, and there's a staircase - that looks exactly like the one from Elsa's castle! It's a mix of Elsa's castle and beast's library just without any details or decoration furniture or clutter, it's big empty space with nothing except some bookcases.
This is just the emptier version of Elsa's castle I swear. Why would you put a place this empty in a children's movie.
The rest of the castle as far as I've seen also just looks like cut out pieces of Hogwarts. And then, the main character gets attacked by tiny bright neon blue fairies - which happen to visually evoke the exact same imagery like pixies from Harry Potter, and they attack in a similar manner as well, it made me feel like I was just again in Lockhart's lesson and I did not appreciate that.
And then the characters are singing and I am just feeling absolutely nothing, the songs feel empty and void of emotion, I am pissed that the main character's wish seems to be 'protect people around me' and the sorcerer is surely going to take this away from her in order to not make her a problem from him later on, and it makes me mad that I only sorta want to see this play out and the movie is counting on me being interested enough in this to keep enduring this soul-less mix of stolen stuff.
Writing made by AI is not copyrightable so how can they make a copyrighted movie out of it. I feel like that is very not allowed. They can steal imagery from their own movies for sure but there is stuff in there not originally owned by disney. Someone get them in a lawsuit.
6. The premise of seemingly benevolent wizard who tricks people into believing in him while he secretly exploits them is a story that already exists! It's the wizard of oz! We're just doing wizard of oz again? >:(
Have you all watched Disney's Wish? I've started watching it but I am immediately put off by the animation, which looks wrong, but then also all of the characters, and the scenes look like they're from other movies, and not just Disney movies. The backgrounds and sets look almost stolen, and weirdly empty. The movie feels like it was just a mix of other stuff. The premise is bothering me too, I want to talk more about it before I even continue watching - so did everyone else watch it? I don't want to post a lot of spoilers.

Once Upon a Studio (Series) Season One; Episode Eleven: The Princess and the Outlaw
(A Special Episode)
Info: Disney and Pixar decided to open up the annual festival of archery and sword-fighting! While Robin Hood tried to impress the princesses, one certain lass decided to show the boys how to do it. Meanwhile, Arthur helped Melody to learned how to use a sword.
Characters that would be in this episode: Robin Hood, Maid Marian, Little John, Frair Tuck, Sheriff of Nottingham, Sir Hiss, Prince John, Lady Kluck, Alan-a-Dale, Nutsy, Trigger, King Richard, Skippy, Toby Turtle, Sis Bunny, Mother Church Mouse, Father Church Mouse, Merida, Queen Elinor, King Fergus, the triplets, Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Minnie Mouse, Ortensia, Judy Hopps, Nick Wild, Beast, Belle, Gaston, Lumire, Cogswoth, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Clarabelle, Huey, Dewey, Louie, Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge McDuck, Della Duck, Aladdin, Abu, Iago, the Genie, Olaf, Anna, Elsa, Krisoff, Maui, Moana, Rapunzel, Eugene, Arthur, Merlin, Chip, Dale, the Mad Doctor, Gremlin Prescott and Gremlin Gus (properly more characters since this is a special episode of season one)
Hint: This episode shows that Robin Hood does have a crush on Merida and which Marian doesn’t mind as she knew boys would be like; This episode shows Gremlin Prescott’s talent for archery and sword-fighting as it was meant to be part of my au story of Epic Mickey 3: The Forgotten Trust; and the Mad Doctor cheered on Mickey for supporting even though he didn’t hit the target
Note: I'm planning to do some once upon a studio series as everyone wants to see if they can lend a hand for me by likes, comments and reblogs their ideas and create arts if they want!
A special episode which is the best idea I’ve ever come as an inspiration to this video!

Darkdawn (The Nevernight Chronicles #03) by Jay Kristoff Review
I've laughed, cried, raged at the powers that be, all in the space of a few hours. Needless to say that I'm still processing the masterpiece I just finished reading. Everything about Darkdawn was perfect even as things were at their most painful. Let's get on with the review...
After waiting so long, the tale has finally come to an end and what an end it was! I'm still feeling gutted. Beware this will probably be spoilery, I don't know how I can discuss it without getting into a few specifics. Needless to say that having just finished Darkdawn, I am still reeling. I loved The Lotus War Trilogy but Kristoff has outdone himself with The Nevernight Chronicles.
Fair warning, Gentle friends, this is a long one.
A brief summary- at the end of Godsgrave, Mia was finally united with her brother, Jonnen, the same brother she thought dead. But the truth was far more horrible, Julius Sceava had taken Jonnen after doing away with Darius and Alinne and was raising him as his own son. And then things got worse, because not only was Scaeva Jonnen's biological father, he was Mia's too. To compound the situation further, Mercurio had been kidnapped by the Red Church and Tric is back from the dead. Excited yet?
I won't lie, there were parts of Darkdawn that gave me serious bouts of anxiety, bad enough that I had to put down the book for a few minutes. But I've never been happier that I stuck with a book than I am with Darkdawn.
I've read a lot of series that start of brilliantly, the first and even the second book are great but many falter where the conclusion is concerned. You've built these amazing characters over the course of 2 books and now you must conclude their tale in 1, tall task to be sure.
Darkdawn is one of the best if not the best conclusion I've ever read. Deeply satisfying and heartbreakingly sad all at once. I firmly believe that Jay Kristoff books should come with a disclaimer "Not one of the characters you're about to meet are safe" I learned my lesson the hard way while reading The Lotus War series and The Nevernight Chronicles and Darkdawn specifically doesn't disappoint in that regard, literally no one was safe.
Now, one might wonder, if that's the case, what's keeping the reader from staying un-invested in the characters' fates? But one can't truly enjoy a book unless one is invested, as a reader you must care about the characters otherwise what's the point? But even if one were to try, one would not succeed.
Kristoff creates such beautiful characters that you won't be able to help but fall in love. And it applies to both primary and secondary characters. Each character is crafted with such exquisite care that it's apparent.
Darkdawn was also so damn eventful with something happening every few pages that there was no chance of a respite. If you're looking to read something relaxing and light, this book is not for you. It will grab you by the scruff of your neck and take you for a ride. And once it gets going, it doesn't slow down.
Darkdawn is an emotional and mental roller-coaster with all the accompanying thrill one expects from such a ride. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I was looking forward to reading Darkdawn. Once we got close to the release date I could not concentrate on any other book so I gave up and just decided to wait for it and I'm so glad I did. I tried to make it last and once work started, reading got slower but I finished roughly 70 percent of the book between last night and today. So much for savouring. But here's the thing, once you’re in the thick of it, it's painful to put it aside because I couldn't wait to find out what came next, whether these beautiful idiots lived to see the next turn or not.
Darkdawn sees Mia facing her old mentors from the Red Church and with so many enemies around every bend, Mia had no hope of surviving on her own. Our Little Crow has always had enemies but with every book, she also gained allies, friends. Friends who were loyal to her not out of fear but out of love, because she protected them when she didn't have to, when she risked her own life to save theirs. And that was the primary different between her and her enemies. Because for all her darkness, Mia was good and decent at her very core, always wanting to do the right thing and it was apparent to those she saved.
Will I ever love a character more than Mia? Probably not, at least not till Kristoff releases another book. I love everything about her, her goodness, her decency, her selfishness, her rage, all of it. I love that she doesn't pretend to be something she isn't, she hates just as fiercely as she loves. With everything that she had been through, it would have been so easy for her to become cold and callous, like the Shahiids at the Red Church. But she didn't, she kept going, always had a sliver of hope even if she'd never admit to it.
I fell in love with Tric in Nevernight and then was heartbroken at his death, then I came to terms with it, only for him to come back and with much flair and drama. He was a shadow of his former self, not quite dead and yet not quite alive either. He fought his way back to Mia from the literal afterlife, that's how much he loved her and yet never treated it like an obligation. Like she owed him something because he came back.
And then there's Ash. Where do I begin with her? Words fail me. I won't lie, I fell for her in Nevernight and only fell deeper in Godsgrave but Darkdawn was something else entirely. I love everything about her, her brash attitude, her fearlessness, that she gave back as good as she got, her fierce love and loyalty to Mia. That for all of her love for Mia, she wasn't afraid of pushing her or calling out her bullshit. I loved how soft and vulnerable she was with Mia, letting her know how much she meant to her, like she didn’t have to hide any part of herself. She never judged Mia for her actions either, loved all of her, warts and all.
One of the best aspects of Darkdawn was the love story between Mia and Ash and I was so worried that Tric was back in the mix. I desperately hate love triangles, they're never truly triangles and I'm doomed to root for the one who doesn't get picked. But Kristoff handled it beautifully. For people like me who are wary of the looming love triangles, worry not, you're in good hands.
Our favourite Luminatii are also back and it wonderful to see them again, the whole odd bunch, I love that entire oddball group. We also had a pirate crew this time around and they were all delightful. Jonnen started the book as a spoiled brat but he grows on you, I loved seeing his growing bond with Mia. I loved Mercurio, that grouchy old fussbucket, being an absolute pain in the pass for the Red Church.
I would be remiss to miss Mister Kindly and Eclipse. Though they claim to hate each other, I feel like that that was just their way of interacting, hurling insults at each other. I absolutely adore their sass.
And how can I forget Julius Scaeva. He was a spectacular villain, a shrewd politician and a master tactician, he was a worthy opponent to Mia, matching hr wit for wit. I hated every cell in his body.
The sheer scope of Darkdawn is intimidating as a reader, I can't even begin to imagine how Kristoff managed to write this pure gem. I know the wait was long but it was absolutely worth it.
Anything I say pales in comparison to just how strongly I feel about this book and it's characters. The characters feel like flesh and blood, like they're real. I loved every minute of this book. I will revisit it soon, and perhaps this time I'll be able to take my time, truly savour it, spending a few more turns with this spectacular group of characters.
Never Flinch, Never Fear. And Never Ever Forget.
