a little doodle of lilypad and her familiar quacksmire p. duckton xix!
thank you so much to everyone who interacted with the original post!! and an additional thank you to @girlkissergideon and @bioshoook for giving me name ideas! i combined them to make lilypad beatrice dimpleskip (lilibea for short mayhaps…) some backstory and info about her beneath the cut! spoilers for ouaw feywild arc
she’s a small gecko lizardfolk and a wizard (no clue what subclass, maybe divination?) i made as an ouaw oc (originally she was meant to be a self insert but by the time i started drawing her she very quickly diverged from me)
as her name might indicate, she’s originally from downfall, where her best friend (szare’s ouaw oc!) lives. her curiosity and thirst for knowledge let her to the mountainous region of prismeer (pre-hourglass coven), where she believed the stars shine most brightly. she was there, studying magic, for only a bit before the hags took over and she was no longer be able to return to downfall. in a desperate attempt to get back home, she set one of endelyn moongrave’s buildings on fire to try to get exiled…and she was, but not to hither: instead, she was sent away to the snowy mountains, where she happened to stumble upon the ruins of a small tower, which she would then make into her home.
she has since lived alone with her duck familiar (hence the messiness of her home and her wearing a nightgown 24/7), and spends her day studying magic, observing the skies, and making little crafts — quilts, plushies, dolls, bracelets, etc — with whatever she can find
its hard to survive but, with a little magical help, she makes do
she hopes to return home and, though she has come to believe that day will never come, makes an effort to not think or speak about anything relating to the current predicament of prismeer
on a much lighter note, i imagine that, in this au (if thats the right term?), if the krew were to pass by, she’d insist on taking them in and would be very very excited to finally interact with other people (id go more into detail but im pretty sure id be repeating myself [see link below])
original post (more details on her personality n such):

Side by side of my main story Aurenthir (left) and my alternate timeline Aurenthir (right).
Main difference is a point in the story.
Main story Aurenthir was an unfortunate victim who got captured by Vorpp's krewe and experimented on early in his life. This resulted in him being wary of Asura and refusing to go to Rata Sum with Ceara when they were traveling Tyria together. Instead, he went to Divinity's Reach while Ceara went ahead to Rata Sum.
Alternate Aurenthir didn't get captured and experimented on, so there was no caution of the Asura for him. He goes to Rata Sum and from there supported Ceara (and then later Scarlet Briar) with her schemes until she was put down by the Commander. Alternate Aurenthir was already in the Heart of the Jungle when his twin was killed and he became Mordremoth's Herald, and the Grovekeeper of Thorn Hollow.
In both timelines Aurenthir's well and alive. Main story Aurenthir helps the Commanders and the Pact all the way up until the end of EoD and then he kinda retires and lives out his days helping ex-Mordrem and ex-Courtiers settle back into society.
Alternate Aurenthir goes into hiding after his defeat in HoT, and doesn't reappear until around EoD where he's trying to make a new life for himself. He actually becomes really good friends with Yao in this timeline and kinda has Ceara back by building her from watchwork knight parts and from her various holodiscs recordings. I'm still playing with ideas on alternate Aurenthir, so it'll be fun fleshing him out for the other expacs like SotO and Janthir Wilds.

From the weirdly specific prompt list, I'll take a 22 and 27 for Gallahan please
Tumblr media
ah these two questions relate to each other! (and ty so much for asking!!)
27. (What’s the worst gift they ever received? How did they respond?) a platter of sweets left on his desk that—for all intents and purposes—simply looked like a customary “welcome to the clinic/krewe” gift. In reality, this was the first of what would be many assassination attempts, and left Gallahan ailing and bedridden and nauseous for a week. Needless to say, he didn't care for the "gift."
(and that leads us to 22!)
22. (What simple activity that most people do/can do scares your character?) after his poisoning, Gallahan is now incredibly careful about who he accepts food from. Doesn’t matter if it’s from a “friend” or made at a five star restaurant, Gallahan wants nothing to do with it. He’s horrified by how frequently people buy/eat food without knowing where it comes from or if it’s possibly been tampered with. Grabbing a quick pastry from a vendor on a quaint corner in Divinity’s Reach? no thanks. Sitting down at a noodle stand in Seitung Province? hard pass. Sharing some takeout a krewe member brought by? you may as well have asked him to jump into mount maelstrom.

I'm thinking about if my characters were actually canon NPCs in-game, where and/or how they'd be referenced to, or actually interacted with, namely during the personal story.
I think Dokks would be there right off the bat in the Black Citadel right after the start of the charr personal story. He'd have his own workshop in the village of Smokestead and the story would eventually lead you to him, probably for some mechanical advice that falls outside the norm of Iron Legion expertise. He'd of course have a bit more significance if you're playing an Iron Legion charr but still present for Ash and Blood too. He'd make a reappearance during the beginning of the Pact, and that's where he joins the main cast. If you're not playing a charr and you approach him prior to this in his workshop, he'll probably briefly explain how he came to be there with his krewe.
Koorn is only 10-11 and in the custody of his mother at the start of PS, so I'm not sure if he'd appear at all before his actual introduction during a Bug in the System. I think, at most, there might be an entirely random NPC somewhere around the ruins of Thaumanova that references him indirectly, "So many deaths -- I know one of them even had a young one waiting for him at home, poor fool."
Merlish would still be dormant in the spear for the majority of the story -- I think it's probably only around EoD where he was finally found by the Astral Ward. So in the ruins of Ascalon I think it'd be interesting if you could literally find the spear there, maybe in a kind of easter-egg, jumping puzzle type of location, or somewhere totally inaccessible that you can only see from a distance.
Phlunk would be an actual merchant you could access in Divinity's Reach. Buy a bottle of wizard lotion for 5 gold. It gives you -1 Hero Points.

The Red Lotus and Azula Would Be Enemies
Note: When I say Red Lotus in this post, I am referring to Zaheer’s four man team unless otherwise noted.
Azula and the Red Lotus are arguably the Gaang and Krew’s most iconic villains, beloved for challenging their respective Team Avatar not just physically, but mentally as well with their tactics and mind games.
That and, as of the time of this post, they are the ones who have come closest to killing their era’s Avatar, with Azula actually succeeding in (temporarily) killing Aang.
So it is no surprise that fans often theorize what would happen if they ever teamed up, either in a what-if situation with all five of them in their primes, or an elderly Azula teaming with the Red Lotus after the events of TLOK or in a AU, and for good reason.
Imagine P’Li and Azula applying pressure using their unprecedented control over combustionbending and lightningbending respectively.
Imagine all the combos Ming Hua and Azula could pull off with their deadly and precise bending.
Imagine Ghazan and Azula slowly but surely overwhelming opponents with their mastery over their rare sub-element bending arts of lavabending and smokebending respectively.
(Yes, this post assumes that the smoke that Azula and the Fire Warriors produced while masquerading as the Kemurikage in Smoke and Shadow was generated through smokebending.)
(Moreover, that smokebending is a rare sub-element of firebending considering no else before or after the events of Smoke and Shadow have been shown to (purposefully) generate smoke, let alone with the control that Azula and the Fire Warriors display.)
And imagine all the dastardly plots and mind games Zaheer and Azula would concoct as they meticulously plot to take down their shared foe(s).
However, there is one massive problem that would prevent the Red Lotus and Azula from ever teaming up: the fact that they would be moral enemies.
This is because the Red Lotus are anarchists who kill monarchs and loathe the concept of states, let authoritarianism. Meanwhile, Azula is a genocidal, colonizing, authoritarian monarch who believes in the divine right to rule.
(Yes, Azula is genocidal since, regardless of who you think actually came up with the plan to genocide the Earth Kingdom, the fact that Azula was eager to join Ozai in his failed offensive, and was upset only because he told her she couldn’t join, is proof that is she more than ok with genocide.)
Therefore, if Azula and the Red Lotus were to ever meet each other, they wouldn’t join forces, but instead would try to kill each other, viewing the other as the embodiment of everything they fight against.
Hell! Considering how diametrically opposed they are to each other, they might even join whatever version of Team Avatar is present to take out their opponent.
“Ok, you bring up a good point about how their diametrically opposed ideologies would make them natural enemies. But you don’t think they don’t have enough pragmatism to temporarily join forces and take out their shared opponent(s) before turning on each other?”
Azula does considering she was able to work with Long Feng and the Gaang to overthrow the Earth Kingdom and find Ursa respectively, provided she isn’t actively psychotic of course, but not the Red Lotus.
This is because the Red Lotus not only spent over a decade in their tortious prison cells and didn’t rat out anyone involved with the broader Red Lotus organization, but also didn’t rat out Unalaq, who betrayed them and the broader Red Lotus organization.
So no, the Red Lotus and Azula would not be able to overcome their deeply-held ideological differences to form a pragmatic partnership.
“But wouldn’t they be able to realize that they are natural allies, even for a temporary amount of time, considering they both want to end the Avatar cycle and commit mass murder?”
Ugh, as much as it disgusts me to type this out, Azula and the Red Lotus want to end the Avatar cycle and commit mass murder for different, totally incompatible reasons.
Azula wants to genocide any group of people who refuse to recognize the Fire Nation’s (supposed) innate superiority and submit to their rule, and therefore wants to end the Avatar cycle, or at least kill the current Avatar, because the Avatar is the only being capable of stopping the Fire Nation from imposing its will on the world.
Meanwhile, even assuming the Red Lotus is aware of Vaatu’s desire to eliminate humanity, they want to release Vaatu and reopen the spirit portals, regardless of how many casualties occur, because they think it will give people true freedom, and thus lead to a better world.
Accordingly, they seek to end the Avatar cycle because the Avatar, by their nature as the Avatar of the Spirit of Light and Peace, would be diametrically opposed to their plan and never stop fighting them, even if they successfully release Vaatu and reopen the spirit portals.
Or in other words, Azula and the Red Lotus’ reasons for trying to end the Avatar cycle and attempting to commit mass murder are tied to their diametrically opposed worldviews.
“But Azula from Smoke and Shadow onward creates chaos with her schemes of hers. So maybe her and the Red Lotus aren’t as diametrically opposed as you make them out to be.”
Even if the means of achieving her goals are chaotic due to her lacking mental health, everything Azula has done post-Sozin’s Comet is consistent with her being a genocidal, authoritarian monarch who believes in the divine right to rule.
For it is explicitly said multiple times in the comics and extended lore that she wants to either turn Zuko into a tyrant like their forefathers before them, or if that fails, retake the throne so she can sheer the Fire Nation back in the direction it was under Sozin, Azulon, and Ozai.
Therefore, all learning about Azula’s efforts to return the Fire Nation to its former “glory” would do in the eyes of the Red Lotus is turn her from a despicable tyrant and oppressor who needs to be punished for her crimes to a mad dog who needs to be put down for the sake for freedom.
But in no case would it make Azula and the Red Lotus any less antagonistic towards each other.
So to conclude, even though on the surface they would seem to be natural allies, Azula and the Red Lotus’ deep ideological differences rooted in the fact that Azula is a genocidal, authoritarian monarchist while the Red Lotus are spiritually attuned anarchists would make them natural enemies.
In fact, the real question about a potential Azula-Red Lotus team up should not be how they would work together, but instead who would be driven to ally with the version of Team Avatar present to take down the other.

Not Vampires related, but I was organizing some scrivener files and found all my notes for my Geist chronicle a few years ago that never got off the ground. I’d like to revisit it some day but until then I’m going to share the npcs because I like them. Starting with:
Tumblr media
Elliott Delacruz
Age: 35
Age at Death: 34
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Languages: English
Krewe: None
Elliott died during an Ayahuasca ceremony in Peru. While high out of his mind, he wandered away from the area he was supposed to stay in, out into the desert as guided by his hallucinations. Out there is where he met his end, at the bite of an especially poisonous snake. The excruciating pain combined with his altered state of mind heavily impacted his view of the experience after his still body returned to life hours after the poison gave him a slow, agonizing death. His mind nearly shattered before it caught the attention of the creature that gave him another chance at life as well as a divine purpose.
Returning to California with his new powers and geist, he put his second chance at life into becoming a spiritual leader. He starts putting up flyers around the city, drawing in people to be manipulated by him.
He uses his Passion key to manipulate their emotions and make them more suggestive to his own desires. He has a small cult basically, though it’s not as organized as he makes it appear to be.
To him ghosts are his own tools and playthings, not living remnants of real people. They’re just spiritual echos that exist to be exploited; not a real person’s soul. His beliefs are a appropriated version of Buddhist reincarnation. If he kills someone, their soul will be reborn and all that’s left is this shallow remnant of what they were, an echo of the person they once were. But they are not that person, and so he feels no remorse consuming them for plasm or using them for his own purposes. If someone in his following isn’t useful to him, their ghost might be.
He ranges from indifference to outright hostile among other Sin-Eaters. They don’t fit into his personal delusions of godhood. He might encounter the player krewe by spotting them as sin-eaters, and attempting to send dangerous ghosts to attack them, or they might be led to him during investigation of the assault of another baby sin-eater, or from him eating too many ghosts in an area.
His cult is snake themed perhaps, akin to how he died. Refers to death as just “shedding the skin.” Uses much of his Primeval key for snake themed skills. Keeps venomous snakes around his person frequently, as their bites don’t cause him any lasting harm. Will sometimes use this as proof of his “divinity” to his followers.
Before his death, he would sometimes be able to see shadowy figures while on hallucinogens or other psychotropic drugs. It seemed to be dependent on how intense the substance was, leading him to try ayahuasca.
His geist is called The Grandmother. A stooped, elderly figure wearing a robe made of wood. Tentacles of thorns slither out from her robes and often wrap around Elliott when she speaks to him. She urges him to consume ghosts and their plasm to make himself stronger, helping them achieve Nirvana along the way.

Asura Appreciation Week - Day Three
Does your OC have a krewe? What do they specialize in? How do they get along? @asura-appreciation-corner
This'll get another cut because, uh ... a bit long, again my friends!
Rerki has a krewe, although not in the traditinal sense. It's a funkly little party of ufortunate souls and misfits she met and adopted over the years as Commander and the year after Zaithan's defeat.
They're a special group among the Vigil and get called when things get serious and needs professional handling. Rerki & her Rescue Squad will see that it gets done.
The "krewe" includes Rerki (of course) as the leader with Thjorn Herstekin (a former Son of Svanir Norn), Vigrum the Unfaithful (a Charr gladia) and Maggeline "Maggie" Blackwater (a thief from Divinity's Reach) as her Inner Circle.
Then, theres the two other Asura: Zhekk, a self-proclaimed pyrologist and fire enthusiast prone to talking loud and much while he stands at the backline and throws fireballs (and bombs) from a safe distance at everyone that dare's to cross their path or question his genius.
The second Asura is Makko, a sellsword who originally worked as a Peacemaker in Rata Sum until he got fired after accepting a bribe from a rather insistent and hot-headed inmate and letting him slip away. He was hired by the Lion Guard after but didn't make it long there either until setting out to find adventures and fortune for himself in the big, wide world of Tyria.
He was quite suprised when he later joined Rerki and saw the very reason for his early retirement from the Peacemakers among her krewe. In the months afterwards, Zhekk found himself looking over his shoulder twice before going anywhere, fearing a vengeful blade (or at least a well placed punch) finding it's way to his unguarded back - or worse, face.
Aimilien & Eimilien are two Sylvari pod-twins and were part of a wandering circus for a very, very long time; honing skills of trickery and illusion and persuasion; which they quickly learned can come in handy at the battlefield as well.
Nobody exept Rerki and Maggie can tell them apart, with both of them looking like an exacpt copy of the other. When Rerki gets asked hos she does it, she just stares at you like youre an complete idiot and scoffs at you, while Maggie will smile knowingly and tell you "Oh, but it's so very obvious. Don't you see it?"
It has been a mystery to this day how those two are able to tell them apart, much to Eimi's & Aimi's delight.
Then, there's Oldafyn the Silent; a mute Owl Shaman hailing from the far Shiverpeaks to fullfill her Spirit's calling in aiding Rerki in her fights against the Elder Dragon's.
She prefers the company of her trusted pet companions (a Snow Owl hatched from Owl's Abattoir and a Raven) over most people. She's a skilled trapper and tracker and her calm demeanor got her the honorable duty to step in whenever Zhekk and Makko get into another of their screaming arguments to calm them down - or force them apart and into each other's rooms if they fail to see reason.
And that's it! That's the gang! They're all very diffrent and have their moments of head-butting but in the end get along rather well and over the years developed a sense of family between each and every one of them.

Let's do Niabba and Zojja for...however many you'd like!
Send me a pairing and I'll answer:
How differently do they think of each other now compared to when they first met?
Niabba's opinion of Zojja hasn't changed much. She always found her pretty incredible... though she did find that once she was out of the spotlight and safely at home with someone she could reliably trust, she'd often let down her guard. The exhaustion was always clear, and it's something she never showed to people outside the two of them.
Zojja was a bit surprised. She had noticed Niabba, of course, because she was brilliant, and brilliance is easy to notice. But while she'd always seen her as antisocial, she learned quickly that a lot of that was simply a very un-asuran shy, quiet nature. When they're in private, she's much more chatty, and even funny. It endeared her to Niabba pretty quickly.
What do their friends/family think of their relationship?
Zojja and Niabba started dating before Snaff's passing, and Snaff was really the only family Zojja had at the time. He was quite frankly thrilled- Zojja was incredibly brash and headstrong, and he could see long term positive effects on Zojja if they remained together. He didn't live long enough to see that come to fruition, but Niabba has always been happy to help when Zojja's feeling overstressed.
Niabba's family was quite frankly stunned. None of her relatives, immediately or otherwise, could fathom how she'd managed to land Zojja of all asura. Of course they were supportive, but Niabba had always been so soft-spoken and shy! She'd actually talked to Zojja first and asked her to lunch? They're still trying to wrap their heads around it.
How do their personalities/skills complement or contrast with each other?
Zojja is very much the more people-forward one of the two of them. She's brilliant and headstrong, always ready to make her thoughts and theories known.
On the flip side, Niabba is a quiet planner. She listens, organizes, writes things down, and helps Zojja organize her thoughts when they get to be too much. It's been an excellent back and forth.
What is their favorite aspect of each other?
Niabba is enamored of Zojja's fire and determination. It was part of what she was drawn to. To her, Zojja was like the sun, and she was hopelessly caught in that light.
Zojja found Niabba's quiet contemplation surprisingly calming. She wouldn't have expected to be attracted to someone so soft-spoken, she came to realize she was a safe harbor she could rely on.
Do either of them have pet peeves about each other?
Zojja has a tendency to leave her projects sprawled over every open surface, and Niabba has more than once wanted to shake her till her eye teeth rattle.
As far as Niabba, Zojja finds that sometimes she can get stuck in her own head, sometimes not even noticing when she's being spoken to. It doesn't happen often, but it drives her up a wall.
How would each reconcile with each other after a fight?
The main way they reconcile when things get rough is talk it out sessions. They'll go to the Snaff Memorial Lab, clear out the krewe, sit on the ledge overlooking the valley, and they'll each get so many minutes to air their grievances.
It keeps Zojja from going off on tangents, and it lets Niabba talk without risk of interruption. It's the best way they've found to work their situations out.
What would be their ideal vacation getaway together?
Somewhere in Divinity's Reach. While Zojja doesn't like the proximity to Queen Jennah, they both agree it's a lovely city far enough away from Maguuma that they wouldn't risk being bothered by someone looking for dirt or seeking to pester them about their work or relationship.
Think of a new way (AU, different situation, etc.) they could have met for the first time.
Meeting during the lead-up to Zhaitan, with Niabba being among the Priory agents that assist during the push to rescue Gorr. Niabba just being struck by Zojja's passion and determination, and trying so hard to reach out. Bonus points if the commander they're working with sees this and starts trying to match make.

Leandrs BG
GW2!Leander is a rather old character and bits and pieces of his story are gone from my memory simply because over the past 9 years the most writing I’ve done for him are a few vague comic thumbnails. He feels like dry sand falling between my fingers, yet I like him like that. I think it’s finally time to go over what’s left of him in my head. And maybe add some new stuff in the future?
Tumblr media
Fragments of Home
Leander Coeth. Krytan. Born in 1308 AE to a couple of nobles in Divinity’s Reach. He was a well educated child, mainly because he spent more time with tutors than he did with his parents.
At the age of eleven (1319 AE) he was kidnapped by bandits while on his way to visit friends in Beetletun for a game of tag. Bandits demanded bribe money from the kid’s parents. The parents didn’t have the necessary amount as one of them had a gambling addiction. Bonus - they were also in the middle of a divorce. Putting their differences aside for their child’s sake was out of the question, and their decision making skills were pure garbage.
So their son ended up living with bandits in Brisban Wildlands for three years. He learned how to work with firearms, picked up lockpicking, trapping, tracking and other skills during his time with criminals and schemers. Despite their moral alignment they weren’t entirely horrible to Leander, which led the kid to feel like he fit in the group.
If his noble parents were to finally come around and find their son, the bandits wouldn’t let him go anymore. Leander, now nicknamed Lane, had become one of them.
Inquest of Sinister Triad
When Lane was fourteen (1322 AE), his group of bandits made the decision to become a part of the Sinister Triad in hopes of a better life. He got handed over to the Inquest side of the Sinister Triad like some sacrificial lamb.
An asura Chronomancer, Kwinden, (character belongs to @alteredsilicone) gingerly received the new subject. He had joined the Inquest to have more freedom in how he approached his research about stretching the limits of chronomancy. But his krewe fell apart over severe disagreements. This led the scientist to look past asura-only teammates and join the Sinister Triad to conduct his research among humans and nightmare courtiers who were more than eager to get their hands dirty and provide him with whatever he required.
Kwin erased Lane’s sense of self, the memories of people he had any kind of connection to. The teen may or may not have run off a few times before the scientist decided to take this approach.
Now all Lane has from before this point in time are vague images of people he believes he’s never met. They’re just fictitious fragments that his unconscious mind had cooked up in a dream.
Together they made steady progress in Kwinden’s chosen field of research, and though Lane was just a human lab rat, Kwin made sure the kid felt alright and gave him some level of freedom, so he could spend time with himself and his own interests which was a blessing after the more draining tests (especially the ones that involved time warps). Less fussy subjects are better subjects.
As years went by Leander himself became invested in Kwinden’s work. And even though he didn’t yet have the intellectual capacity to fully understand what was what, Kwin could still meet Lane on a similar brainwave and help him learn. Leander was on his way to become an engineer with a strong affinity for elixirs and burning things. He could finally take care of himself at a reliable level and at this point the asura trusted his personal human assistant enough to let him run errands instead of calling upon the thugs of the triad and watching them struggle to comprehend what’s being asked of them.
Less Than Friends
The Commander began their journey in 1325 AE. Leander was seventeen at this time. And Kwinden had a major breakthrough in his research. Though physically de-aging himself was an accident, he took it as a victory worth celebrating. After all, he was an old man and standard mesmer magic only let him alter his appearance. It did nothing for his pained back and brittle bones.
Originally it was another time-warp test that was run on Lane, but oddly enough yielded no results aside from increased blood pressure. It frustrated the asura as it made no sense. He firmly believed his calculations were correct and thus confidently ran the test on himself. In reality the experiment had an invisible effect - Kwin almost entirely stopped Lane’s biological clock by leaving his body in something of a time loop, but figured out this mishap several years later when the human’s unchanging youth started becoming suspicious. So the same test yielded two different results on two different subjects. Unfortunately the asura couldn’t go back to the notes related to this experiment to undo it. The lab had been ransacked and burnt down just a month after his own age-reversing success.
The duo left the Sinister Triad to build their own private lab elsewhere. Lane finally had the opportunity to travel where his eyes led him, and made friendly connections with various peculiar characters along the way. In 1327 AE they formed a guild which did its part by lending strength to The Pact in the fight against the Elder dragon Mordremoth. The events leading up to the battle with the jungle dragon caused significant losses, squabbles and trust issues among the members and the guild fell apart shortly after The Pact claimed victory over Mordremoth in 1328 AE.
One of the two ex-guildmates that Lane is still in touch with is Zachren, a sylvari guardian whose life the engineer saved by pure chance while gathering kindling for a night under the stars of Blazeridge Steppes. Zachren then stuck with him through thick and thin on the branded battlefield while the human gathered research material for his mentor.
The sylvari willingly joined The Nightmare Court after Mordremoth fell and the guild disbanded. They don’t talk much since then but Zachren always makes time for when Lane visits to have a meal together now and then.
The other one is Caserin Kyn, a necromesmer who resides in some deep end of nowhere in the middle of Shiverpeaks and knows more than he lets on. Though Lane says nothing about it, he suspects Kyn has treaded paths similar to Kwinden’s and remains in hiding for safety.
They originally met at a norn alemoot. Kyn was drunk as a skunk and asked a stranger to help him get home. The stranger turned out to be Leander who was there to briefly warm up by the fire before setting out to gather a specific kind of lichen. He gathered the material while trying to make sense of the instructions the drunk man was giving him. Although strange and entirely random, them running into one another turned out to be mutually beneficial.
The necromesmer tends to provide valuable tools and artifacts under ridiculous conditions, and for this reason alone is intensely detested by everyone in the Priory. He is a collector with a twisted sense of humor, along with a visible bloodstone addiction, and is difficult to negotiate with.
Lane tends to stay over at his place to test elixirs together. They’ve made an agreement that Leander can take whatever materials he needs from Kyn’s collection as long as he helps the necromesmer break an invisible bond with someone who’s out to kill the man.
Holosmith
The engineer dealt with the loss of his guild by wandering and doing odd jobs in various places for a while. He visited the major cities of each allied race to learn more about their culture and pick up on some technical knowledge, especially from the charr.
In 1330 AE when the Commander made way to Elona to pursue the rogue god, Leander caught wind of the concept of holosmithing and decided to pursue it.
Tumblr media
I shifted my character focus from Leander to Caserin in 2017 and then took a significant break from gw2 during 2018-2022 so this is where his story stops for now. Will update this post (much) later when I go through the entire story of the game again. I'm so.. so out of the loop with the lore.

Januárová albumová smršť (2024)
Je koniec mesiaca a teda čas rekapitulovať. Najprv v práci zadať hypotetické čísla do veľmi reálnej tabuľky. Potom zrekapitulovať účty. A teraz zrekapitulovať januárový výtlak metalovej scény.
Rhûn - Conveyance in Death
Tumblr media
Rhûn som už ospevoval v samostatnej recenzii. V skratke pre tých, ktorí nevydržia tri minúty čítať: veľmi dobrý black metal s nádychom melancholickej a epickej atmosféry a skvelou gitarou. Vedľajší projekt Falls of Rauros, ale lepší. Hodnotienie: 3
Boundless Chaos - Sinister Upheaval
Tumblr media
Nemecká skupina zo Saska hrá muziku môjmu srdcu blízku. Absolútne priamočiary death/thrash/speed. Album Sinister Upheaval je 36 minút nekonečnej zábavy (a keď napíšem nekonečnej, tak tým myslím nekonečnej počas 36 minút, takže konečnej, ale nekonečnej, chápete?). Pivom presiaknutý klasický zvuk rozbesneného metalu, bez nejakých zbytočných kotrmelcov a ohyzdnej bižutérie. Hodnotenie: 3
Dipygus - Dipygus
Tumblr media
Hodnotenie: 2
Cancer Christ - God Is Violence
Tumblr media
Fetal Speedball hrajú masívny war grind, 5 skladieb atakuje všetky zmysly a neprestáva dokým vás nezašliapne. Hektické bicie a ponurá atmosféra vytiahne každého plesnivca zpod periny rovno do kanála. Hodnotenie: 2
Ostatné albumy, hodné počutia (bez poradia):
Diabolic Oath / Aberration - Divinations SPLIT | Black/Death Metal
Asphalt Grieving - Lack of Certainty | Black/Death Metal
MooM - Plague Infested Urban Dump Of The Future | Powerviolence
Escuela Grind - DDEEAATTHHMMEETTAALL | Grindcore/Powerviolence/Death Metal
Iron Front - Hooked | Brutal Death Metal
Sovereign - Altered Realities | Death/Thrash Metal
Master - Saints Dispelled | Death/Thrash Metal
Perishing - Lutum | Doom/Death Metal
Necrotum - Defleshed Exhumation | Death Metal
Sacrofuck - Święta krew | Death Metal
Purulency - Transcendent Unveiling of Dimensions | Death Metal
Dissimulator - Lower Form Resistance | Technical Death/Thrash Metal
Kalt Vindur - Magna Mater | Black Metal
The Infernal Sea - Hellfenlic | Black Metal
Rituals of the Dead Hand - The Wretched and the Vile | Black Metal

Sklamania:
Nové albumy od kapiel ako: Knoll, Vitriol, Exocrine, Resin Tomb a Saxon.
Spoločenská nálada, moja konzumácia piva a stav ciest v Brne.

Meet the Krew:
✋🏼🧚🏽: Very influential. Very famous. Russian aesthetic. Started the Trojan War. Pretends that she has to be a cop but she literally doesn’t. Hypocritical as fuck. I know her secret. No-one else does.
Golden Knight: An embodiment of all the stupidity surrounding the leftist commune meme. He thinks he’s a firework but he’s a camera. He’s sexually attracted to furniture and kale. He dresses like a meme. If you play music in the same city as him he will pretend to have a panic attack.
Pick Me: Literally said almost word for word that they don’t believing in taxing the rich. Pretends to be normal. Adores Andrew Tate but thinks of themselves as a feminist. Somehow. Also literally said almost word for word that they think everyone should be forced to have a job.
Prince Principal: I think he’s a pedophile not gonna lie. Also, he hates witches. Also, HE’S A LANDLORD. Also, he’s just like his dad. He fucking adores his dad and his dad adores him, among other things.
Meet the Coven:
Lily Ross: Hates Trump. Hates everything Trump represents. Got nothing but harassment for years but is a prophetess endowed with divine knowledge. Her hair’s actually black but like, she is a redhead in spirit.
Butterfly: Prince Principal tried to capture her but she managed to escape. Not unscathed. She has so many emotions and they’re all godly. Child of the universe and she knows it.
Green Witch: He has so much empathy I swear to the gods. He is a loving and protective husband, a doting and involved father. He finds comfort in the paradoxes I find comfort in and he loves psychologically manipulating the powerful.
Runaway: Loves the gods of the darkness, trusts them wholeheartedly. Won’t be used as a pawn by corrupt power systems. Knows when her words will be powerful, and knows when her silence will be powerful as well. Too much of a little girl to hold any power. But she loves the gods of the darkness, and she trusts them wholeheartedly.

So I'm leaning a different direction than most I think. Not accounting for player population and assuming just base populations. The smallest three cities I think are the Grove, Hoelbrak, and Rata Sum.
For Hoelbrak and Rata Sum, it's that these are two refugee races who within the last couple hundred years have had to flee their homelands to new surroundings. We don't know numbers of how many people made it out, but I don't think either had a massive population to start. The norn lost people to the Svanir, and the asura took a hit when Zinn was exiled and took a large chunk of the population with him... all of whom died either in Rata Novus or Rata Arcanum.
I'm not really going to guess NUMBERS because I have dyscalculia and difficulty visualizing numbers, but I will arrange them in order from here.
The Grove is smallest for obvious reasons, since it's only been close to 40 years at this point and I don't think the rate of new sylvari is incredibly high. I'd probably hesitate to even classify it as a city on a good day.
Hoelbrak's population is definitely smaller than Rata Sum, I think. The norn seem to have a tendency to spread out to small settlements, and the city itself is more for coming for commerce, visiting the lodges, etc. The rest of the population is in the areas surrounding, in smaller holdings.
Rata Sum probably has artificial caves in the dug out area beneath the city cube that serve as apartments and living space for most of the population save for those that live in their krewe spaces through Metrica and Brisban. I don't think the population growth is particularly high, just on account of various factors, keeping them in third.
The Black Citadel is next, as I think the charr are similarly spread out to the norn but not on as massive a scale. There's just rarely a lot of people IN the city at any given time. Still, it's not a small population by any means.
Divinity's Reach, on the other hand, is like a mini New York City. Treating the districts like boroughs, they easily probably have the population of the Grove, Hoelbrak, and Rata Sum combined. Amnoon is probably similarly sized.
Daigo Ward in Seitung comes after that, with more apartments than single family dwellings, though not EXPONENTIALLY bigger than DR. It's still probably a shock to know how many people are there.
New Kaineng City on the other hand just dwarfs everybody. It's massive, with immense housing structures, tons of space, and leans more towards an NYC comparison than DR does in this. It's a huge population, and one that probably feels like most of the other cities feel miniature by comparison.
Hey friends, I'm really curious, reblog this and tell me what you think the population numbers of the cities in the game are. You are highly encouraged to go into details about your thought process

o/ Hihi. This is my Guild Wars 2 blog. I've been playing since launch and still have no clue what the hell I'm doing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Essentially just here to rant about my characters (as one does) and reblog cool art and memes (as one does).
Only tagging spoilers relevant to the most recent expac.
CHARACTER TAG • MY EDITS • MY WRITING
Tumblr media
CYNA CRYSTALCLAW. Commander of Dragon's Watch and the Crystal Guardian. Former Blood Legion soldier, now Ash. Wielder of the Vestige of Glint. Has an unmatched temper, and her bite is just as fierce as her bark. She is no stranger to the horrors of war, dragons, and even death - but through these endless struggles and strife that she's endured as one of Tyria's heroes, she is reminded of one thing above all -- that she's still standing. Tag.
Tumblr media
DOKKS. Mechanics and engineering expert for Dragon's Watch, and a steady hand that Cyna has greatly needed. Universal father figure for the guild. Dokks is an old, kind-hearted, and well-traveled individual. Often regarded atypical as far as asura go for his interest in blending asuran tech with that of other races', resulting in contraptions that come across as outlandish and bizarre to many an asura, and often completely incomprehensible to anyone else. Loves his grandson more than life itself. Tag.
Tumblr media
KOORN. Bio-tech expert for Dragon's Watch. Dokks' grandson. A young asura filled with potential and promise that had been conducted in the wrong direction - particularly by his mother, who is a high-ranking member of the Inquest. Because of this, Koorn is not unlike many of the other members of the Inquest, being snobbish, rude, and self-absorbed. However, it's likely that this persona is simply a front, and on the inside the young asura simply is hiding a core of insecurity and lack of confidence in himself. Tag.
Tumblr media
MERLISH CENDIGG. A ghost of Ascalon that's rather unique to the others. Merlish used his expertise in magic to spare himself from the curse of the Foefire - to an extent. But then the spear he bound his soul to lay forgotten for centuries amongst the rubble, before eventually being plucked from the city ruins by one of the Astral Ward and brought to the Wizard's Tower. Suddenly, Isgarren was reminded of a forgotten member of the Ward, lost centuries ago. Tag.
Tumblr media
NOVA WARHORNS. Bounty hunter in Elona and partner to an eyeless little freak. Possessor of multiple brain-eating parasites. Almost certainly a cannibal. Never engage this woman. Hide and pray she does not find you. Tag.
Tumblr media
DESIGNATION V. Real name Vext. Former Synergetics professor hired by a Mists research krewe decades ago that has since gone missing. Shoved into the Mists and declared dead by the Arcane Council, Vext now pops in and out of Tyria seemingly at random. Regarded by the Arcane Eye as an "anomaly" and is being unsuccessfully sought after by them. Also Dokks' brother. Tag.
Tumblr media
EX-COUNCILLOR PHLUNK. Twin brother of Councillor Phlunt. Held a chair as a councillor for a week. Kept "Ex-Councillor" as his official title after this for some reason. Moved to Divinity's Reach not long after, adopting a quintessential, stereotypical wizard persona wherein he opened a business to shuffle out his "wizarding services" for a high fee. Eventually kicked off his own trading enterprise to rival the Black Lion Trading Company, though something seems off about it. Tag.
Tumblr media
ENN(DRIS). A grandmotherly asura with a keen eye and a healthy sense of humor. Dokks' wife and Koorn's grandmother. Is long deceased in the original Tyria, but still lives on in Dokks' place in her own, alternate Tyria. Tag.
Tumblr media
ORDEN. Challenger of the Sons of Svanir. Unwilling in both his revenancy and the spirit he channels. Slayer of the icebrood remnant of his brother, whose spirit and corruption has gripped Orden through the Mists. Good-natured and rather friendly despite his appearance. Tag.
