that trend where you secretly record your boyfriend being cuddly with bokuto but instead of getting embarrassed—him mumbling what he did today as he buries his face into your hoodie and holds your hand—he thinks you're taking a photo at and smiles. and then you laugh and tell him it's a video and he just goes "oh. hi!" and waves. and then you laugh again which confuses him, but you tell him it's nothing and to carry on, so he does. (—huh? okay. and then shoyo was like washaaa and i was like—)

but it works with guys who aren't usually super affectionate too. iwaizumi has his back turned to you as he cooks breakfast (he's got those flannel pajama pants and a tank top on), talking but freezing when he turns to spot you with your phone in hand and smile on your face. "what are you doing?" "recording my handsome boyfriend cooking for me?" and hajime's grip on the spatula tightens just for a second at the compliment before he rolls his eyes and comes to pinch your cheek. "you better stop or your handsome boyfriend will make sure yours is burnt." (it isn't burnt) (it's cooked exactly how you like it)

Tbhk Ch120 Analysis:

#1: Teru did not kill Kou on accident or by reflex.

I’ve seen this take on tumblr and Twitter and I disagree. As much as I like the poetic irony of Teru’s violence towards supernaturals causing him to hurt whose he’s sworn to protect from them, I think it’s wrong.

As Teru blasts Kou, Teru is already upset.

Comedy moments in the manga aside, this is the 1st time we’ve ever seen Teru visibly devestated. Prior to this he has always, consistently approached supernatural danger with whimsy and lighthearted cheer. Even when there were dire stakes:

Teru after realizing Aoi was essentially dead after coming getting kidnapped by Number 6. (Ch70)

Teru in ch79, after learning his baby brother went into the notably deadly Red House. (Ch79)

Teru after getting betrayed and apprehended in the Clock Keepers’ boundary. Where they’re supposed to be “undefeatable.” (Ch109)

The uniting factor is that Teru had some level of control. That there wasn’t any true danger/death. He’s gonna get Aoi back, he had faith in Kou to not succumb to the house’s wishes, and you can’t die in boundaries (applies to when the gang got jumped by Num 6 too).

Here, Teru is devastated — not bc Teru is sacred that Kou may get hurt (active threat) but bc Teru knows Kou is already dead.

Look at how Teru walks to the well immediately.

Teru isn’t falling to his knees like “Wait, I didn’t mean to kill him. What have I done?“

He walked there immediately. With intent.

He’s not acting like someone who’s killed his brother on accident. On reflex. He’s acting like someone who knows. Who’s already grieving. Who’s checking for confirmation.

Confirmation that his little brother died in that well. Has been dead.

This isn’t a boundary or fictional world. That is the real Kou — just of a different timeline — and in this one he died. No control, no games, no convenient truth. And Teru couldn’t protect him.

Ok so I've always registered that the minamoto family was rp for an unstable home life but also haven't fully registered it? If that makes sense but then this art dropped....

And idk why but all of a sudden it FULLY fully registered that the minamoto family is rp for an abusive household....

I fully released that Teru has so much symbolism for physical child abuse...

All the way down to a young sibling that wished they could do more and be stronger...

And down to the youngest that has no idea what's happening...

Idk I can't look at Teru and Kou's lines the same now bc all I can think about is "what would Teru be telling Kou if they weren't an Exorcist family...what would that line say if they were a normal family...?"

And now any time I think about an AU were there's no supernaturals ect all I can think about is that if we really wanted to make it accurate and not all happy the minamoto family would 100% be in an abusive household...

Idk ever since this art has dropped its been on my mind and been eating me alive man- thinking about them and all of a sudden there even more relatable- this is why I LOVE over analyzing tbhk characters bc I feel like you always find something new at some point-

Also just wanted to show my appreciation for the character dynamics in TBHK, a lot of them hit differently after this chapter, both subtle and direct. It takes reading through the chapters and noticing the little things between characters that make the payoff more emotional.

(Spoilers for ch 120 under cut)

Kou has constantly been shown to cry or tear up when it comes to being concerned for Nene's safety. Obviously, it hits very differently this time around.

Teru's big brother instinct going off so fast here. He's always been shown to be protective so that + the other foreshadowing about Kou's fate makes for an amazing buildup.

My thoughts go two ways here:

Teru, who hates and aggressively exorcises supernaturals, strikes pretty hard here.

It's Kou though so he specifically hits his hand/wrist to separate them.

It shows both of Teru's sides in such a conflicting way. I think his expression with these things in mind portrays amazing characterization.

Teru, who is usually gentle and/or nonchalant when dealing with others like Nene, shoves her aside with a seriousness and weight to his movement that shows what his current priorities and concerns are. His usual image is long gone and that shows through his body language.

I know people have posted these panels a billion times, but I can't get over this. Teru only ever says Kou's name in the time he jumps in to save Nene and approaches the well. And you can absorb his grief with the progression of him slumping down, seemingly still looking down the well.

Teru has always been characterized by the amount of love he has for his siblings. In both the silly and serious sections of TBHK and even After School, we see just how much he adores them, especially Kou, who has been with him for much of his life. After EVERYTHING, after giving Kou the chance to be an exorcist, after relenting to his younger brother so many times, this is what happens. This was chapters in the making, and the emotional payoff worked! I am in shambles!

There's probably even more examples but these were the ones I noticed right away so I'll leave it at that.

Diabolik Lovers Dark Fate Vol. 3 Chapter of the Last Quarter — Short Story Translation

A short, sweet, and comedic tale about the Mukami brothers being supportive siblings… and nearly committing accidental fratricide in the process. Meanwhile, Yui watches with increasing concern as the disaster unfolds.

Kou-kun groaned as he stared down at the pot.

"Should I help after all?"

"Eve, you mustn't get involved...okay? Just quietly watch over us."

Even though he said that, an increasingly terrible smell was spreading throughout the kitchen. Despite being told not to interfere, I was starting to get a bit worried.

"Maybe it needs some sugar-chan!?"

"Ah!!"

Before I could stop him, Yuma-kun dumped several sugar cubes into the pot, filling the room with a foul stench. I felt a sense of despair.

The whole mess had started when Ruki-kun injured his hand.

"Ruki-kun always cooks for us, so let's all pitch in today!"

And so, Kou-kun's plan of making dinner ended up as disastrously as I had feared.

"...This is...?"

"Well... It's supposed to be curry..."

Kou-kun glanced at me as if pleading for help. When I looked at Yuma-kun and Azusa-kun, they averted their eyes. In short, something horrible had been created. Its color was... to put it nicely, pitch black. After tasting it, Yuma-kun commented nonsensically that it was "bittersweetsalty". Dubbed "Mukami Brothers' Style Curry" it had transformed into a mysterious substance resembling anything but curry. Just by looking at it, anyone would instantly recognize it as inedible.

Yet, Ruki-kun was peering at the plates lined up on the table with a happy look on his face.

"Maybe it's better if we don't eat this..."

In spite of Kou-kun's uneasiness, Ruki-kun scooped up the substance with a spoon and brought it to his mouth.

". . ."

"It's disgusting."

We all shared the same fear. That even though he's immortal, Ruki-kun might die from this.

Despite his words, Ruki-kun's expression suddenly relaxed. We stared at him in amazement.

"R-Ruki-kun...!!"

"Ruki..."

"Ruki...! Damn it! Yer such a...!"

The three brothers, seemingly drained, collapsed to their knees on the spot. Ruki-kun simply watched them in silence as he continued to eat.

And then, afterwards—Ruki-kun was bedridden for three days and nights. Even though Vampires aren't supposed to get sick...

Seeing this, his brothers made a firm vow to themselves. They would never try to cook again.
