salvia is the genus name for sage. the name derives from the latin word salvere, which means "health, heal, to feel well and healthy", as sage is known for its healing properties. in the language of flowers, salvia means thoughtfulness, longevity, wisdom and good health

malva is the genus name for mallow. it comes from the greek word malakos, which means "soft" or "mellow", for the plant's special qualities in softening and healing. the plant symbolizes love, protection and health

CORNELIA HAE-IN FAUST

the name cornelia is of latin's origin, meaning "horn". her nickname connie, which is also a diminutive form from the name constance, means "constancy" or "steadfastness". hae-in comes from 海, meaning "sea, ocean", and 仁, meaning "humaneness, benevolence, kindness"

thinking about how my kotsam mcs are foils to each other in how they see themselves in the role of a hero or as a main character of the story

salvia : she never wants to become a hero. period. she just wants to stay as an ordinary girl, living a normal, boring, ordinary human life. salvia is like that one post going around of a chosen one character who tries their absolute best to avoid anything even slightly magical/supernatural (her insistence of staying ordinary comes from a place of wanting to belong because she never felt like she did in the human world. the reason why she chose to become a magician later is also linked to this: she felt left out being the only human and wanted to fit in with the rest of the magical world). and then to her frustration, she is revealed to be a keeper which means she's special, she's destined for great things, but also means that people close to her will get hurt. after what happened to kol and her suitemates in the fight against reyna, it makes her feel that everything is her fault.

titania : they used to dream of being a hero/chosen one, of having powers that can save the world, like a life out of ya novels (if salvia is that one post, titania is that other post about a fictional character appearing in your room, asking you to come with them, and you dropping everything to go with them). then their fantasy became reality and they found out being a hero/chosen one entails more than just helping people, that people might use and manipulate you for their own agendas because of your status and powers, that you and your loved ones might suffer beyond what you can bear for the necessary tragic backstory™. and even the part of helping people is not that easy. sometimes you fail and can't save anyone.

danica : and then there's dani, who doesn't want to be hailed as a hero or anything like that but wants to keep helping people. who sympathises with the villain, who wants to give people second chances, who wants to put more good in this world because she can. the ideal, true hero, if you will.

my baby magician who wants nothing to do with the magical world at all (well... at first) & wishes above all else to be ordinary. as you can tell, her wish doesn't come true

she's now trying her best to stay alive while balancing college, keeper's training, monthly monster attacks and still making time to hang out with her suitemates & shifter boyfriend

dwarf sunflower (adoration), baby breath (innocence), daisy (gentleness), pale pink rose (grace), and sage (wisdom). her favourites are baby breath and sunflower (for no other reason than it's kol's favourite flower 🥰)

salvia is fluent in japanese and italian (both are her parent's native languages; lucas personally taught her since little). she also speaks decent french.

💘 HEART W/ ARROW - what traits do they look for in a relationship? do they believe in love at first sight?

gentle and sweet older sibling with an overprotective streak sdjklf salvia's always been drawn to kindness and people with warm personality. bonus if they also like cats. personally, she doesn't believe in soulmates nor love at first sight. she's the type who falls in love slowly, and the beginning of her relationship with kol is more like the japanese saying 'koi no yokan'. an inkling that if you continue to meet this person, you will fall in love with them.

i forgot to save my other kotsam mcs playthrough before playing kotdan (except salvia & titania) so that means i have to replay book 1 like 6 times (bc i stupidly made 5 mcs & had each of them romance at least 2 characters :D) before i can play book 2
