I absolutely love the first picture here, a drawing of my character from Kotor1. I tried to do it again, but to be honest, the first one is just so perfect for what I was going for, that any new attempt was only going to be inferior.

Star Wars Fic Prompts: Sith Temples
I've read a fair amount of Star Wars fanfiction, and a decently common thing to see in them is a Sith Temple. They tend to be used as a way to change the characters in some way, sometimes it works and sometimes I'm sitting there thinking "yeah no, the Sith would never make something that would have an effect like that." This post is basically like a mix of prompts and advice for handling Sith Temples in fics.
Note: I primarily focus on Lucas canon, that will effect what I say, though I also play KOTOR1 and 2 as well as SWTOR, and I like some of the stuff they've done with the Sith, so I'll borrow things from them for this too.
We know why the Jedi Temple exists and what it's used for, but think what the Sith would use a temple for. This is where people usually go wrong, they want a particular thing to happen but don't consider if the Sith would fit with what they want.
Perhaps they also use it as a living space and training academy, though it would never be safe. At their safest everyone inside would have to sleep with one eye open.
They would also likely use it to solidify themselves more into the dark side, think meditation to make themselves angrier (so like anti-meditation), murdering loved ones, torturing people, etc. There is no kindness to find among the Sith, and the only thing one will learn is how monstrous people can be.
Of course, a main thing we see Sith do is attempt to corrupt Jedi, turn them to the dark side. So there may be things in the temple to help with that, or to do it when the Sith aren't there (whether the Sith set that up out of laziness or as a lasting legacy is up to you).
Even if the temple is just a ruin in the fic, what it was used for should affect what it is like and what can happen in it.
Fic Prompts
Inside a Sith Temple, a Jedi is teleported to an alternate reality where they are a powerful Sith (whether they're genuinely teleported to another universe or it's a vision or illusion is up to you). They can only get back to reality by falling to dark side or overcoming it, though there would be effort from the Temple to prevent them from doing the latter. For bonus points on this one, any non Jedi with them is teleported as well (part of the corruption could be trying to convince the Jedi to kill, torture, or enslave them).
one or more characters are stranded inside a Sith Temple, people who are in this temple for to long go insane, they have to get out before they lose their minds (or they can be stuck and lose their minds if that's what you want to do)
a force sensitive clone (who doesn't know they're force sensitive) enters a Sith Temple with their Jedi and some other clones. The temple tries to corrupt the Jedi and treats his brothers like objects. What this clone doesn't understand is why the temple tries to corrupt him too (you could also use a Sith holocron for this)
after spending time in a Sith temple, the characters suffer from especially vivid nightmares where they commit heinous acts, how do they deal with this? are they just nightmares or are they real actions?
a character who may have had a romanticised view (basically anything that isn't extremely evil) of the Sith enters a Sith temple, and they are confronted by the reality of what Sith are like
a character enters a seemingly normal building, they don't understand why it's so cold inside despite the heat and the lack of AC units
a Jedi (who is either inside a Sith temple or has recently come out of one) is getting increasingly paranoid and/or distrustful about everyone around them
feel free to add more prompts to this! and feel free to use these in a fic if you want to

SWTOR Headcanon: I Ship Jaymizu Poh and Achitan
For those who don't remember, these two were involved in the "Reclaiming What's Ours" mission in Republic-side Taris.

Jaymizu Poh

Achitan
Jaymizu and her blustering brother, Relus, are looking to reclaim their family's lands (from 300 years ago) on Taris. When they can't get the Republic military to help, they turn to the player for help.
Of course, the player discovers that the squatters are a group of non-human's led by Achitan whose ancestors had an even older claim. Their land had been repossessed by the Senate at some point, apparently due to anti-non-human bigotry.
(Mind you, that would have been long before KOTOR1, much less SWTOR. There are VERY few examples of Republic anti-alien bigotry in the SWTOR stories.)
In my Halcyon Legacy, Ulannium Kaarz, my Barsen'thor, enountered these two and brokered a settlement.
And... i'm shipping them. I headcanon that both of them evacuate Taris when the Empire attacks, with Relus and most of Achitan's friends not making it.
And they find comfort with each other, eventually forming an organization to help refugees.
Anyone like this?

Anon, you are so sweet and your message made me feel so, so soooo happy! Thank you! I loved making that Life Day comic! I have a few other KOTOR comics that are just sort of on pause right now... I do hope I can finish those ones too, eventually! I worry sometimes because I feel like my character depictions are way sillier and more cartoony (especially Malak) compared to the canon video game source material. So I worry that people who have seen my comic/art get this idea in their head about what the game will be like. I wouldn't want anyone to be disappointed in KOTOR, because those games are so great! So this message is reassuring and means an extra lot to me!!!!! Thank you for taking the time to think of me and write to me. I hope you're having a total blast playing KOTOR1 & 2! And don't worry, I don't think I'll ever get tired of drawing star wars fanart haha :D

OKAY thinking about the backstory i gave the playable character of kotor1 before the reveal? makes everything hit so much harder
i'm so sad that i didn't experience The Reveal™ organically but i AM very happy that i didn't know about it before i decide to make the playable character My Blorbo™
so Mala remains her own character separate from Revan but still there's a continuity between the two

What KOTOR means to you: KOTOR1&2 helped shape me into the person I am today. Without these games, I don’t think it love of Star Wars would be nearly the level that it is. These games expanded the Star Wars Galaxy for me and really allowed me to feel like I was in it and my decisions had actual consequences. It is my most favorite game and I treasure them dearly.
Your favorite KOTOR memory? My childhood best friend and I used to take turns playing KOTOR1&2 for hours and often into the wee hours of the morning. We each had different playing styles so it was really fun to see her decisions played out versus what I choose to do.
Why this costume? Atton Rand is one of my favorite video game characters. On the surface level, he seems like a scruffy-looking nerf herder, but once you get to know him, you get to learn why he acts the way he does and even influence him to become a better (or worse) person. I really love his redemption story from soldier to sith assassin to Jedi Knight.

The prequel  // post prequel era jedi being a bunch of weirdos even for the standard of jedi that lived a couple centuries before them is honestly so important to me.  It shows you that the jedi are not stagnant and that the priorities and whats acceptable changes for them like for any community

SHE CALLS IT A FLAGRANT BREACH OF PROTOCOL BUT SO MANY JEDI WERE KNIGHTED IN THE FIELD IN THE CLONE WAR she doesn’t know of course she doesn’t know maybe this sort of thing did not happen in times of peace maybe every knighting was carefully debated on by the council and every padawan had luxury of time to be tested “officially” but then it changes and then there is not even the council or the official order just one jedi knighting another preserving a crumbling tradition.

I'm finally playing thru kotor2 after playing kotor1 on like 360 a longggg time ago..... I can recognize npc faces and armors/models/clothes all straight from the first game even after like a decade since I last saw any of these.
the tone feels way different though. it feels very..... empty and melancholy like a story in the shadow of a bigger story you don't get to read. it's oddly like picking up your character half way in and the way it lets you tell your own backstory through dialogue choices is really interesting. like your backstory feels way more organic when you're kinda making it up as you go along.
starting as a Jedi is neat and you can totally be a force user with a gun if you want. the companions so far are very unique even if they aren't all likable as people. this crew is more disfunctional than kotor1 crew.
this one also feels more dialogue heavy with really well flowing conversations like when you get to argue with the lady from your past on Talos; you really can feel your characters hurt and how much she loathes you specifically as you both get more heated
tl;dr I've got nostalgia glasses for kotor1 and not this game and it feels so familiar but so totally different and it's honestly really growing on me
