Helpful blogs
The amazing @fox-trot, who not only makes astonishing art and write an amazing fic, she also responds to medical questions and gives all kinds of references for writing medic characters.
@writebetterstarwars, which seems to be inactive, but there are a bunch of references there.
@howtofightwrite The place to find out how to write a good fight scene.
@scriptmedic no longer active, but it has a great deal of useful information.
@scripttorture for your whump needs. Major trigger warning for all its content.
Writing in General (For those who don't want to die like Stormtroopers)
SlickWrite: Completely free; online. Checks grammar, punctuation, flow, and writing style according to different settings (including fiction writing).
ProWritingAid: [RECOMMENDED] One of the most thorough online proofreader I've ever used. Although when using a free account gives extremely thorough feedback, it gives +20 different in-depth reports for only the first 500 words for free. However, you can earn a premium account license (for a year or for life) if you get 10 or 20 new users signing up for free; (if you wouldn't mind doing so using the link above and help me earn mine, please). The settings allow you to check your writing according to your needs, from general to formal to creative. It has a bonus that you can check depending on the genre you're writing. For example, in creative, you can choose romance or sci-fiction (there are 14 sub-genre in total). And just like google docs, you can share a document, and people can view, comment or edit.
LanguageTool: [RECOMMENDED] Another excellent proofreader. It also has a word limit in free accounts, but if you use the add-on for Google Docs, it counts each page as a new document, so hitting the limit is nearly impossible. It helps you to rewrite a sentence, even if it doesn't raise any flags; it's very useful for when your sentence is grammatically correct, but it doesn't feel quite right.
Grammarly, Hemingway Editor: No so great, but they do the basic job.

Sera do you have a live journal or Wattpad thingie? I'm going on vacation and I while I'd love to re-read your entire blog again, I was wondering if I could follow your creations somewhere else 馃А
Hey Bunnie! This is a wildly flattering ask to receive first thing coming back home, thank you :D Hope your vacation is excellent and sunny! Aside from here I don鈥檛 really have many existing spots I鈥檇 publicly/actively post content on, at least right now? I鈥檓 taking the opportunity to make this answer into a where else to find me directory, though! I don鈥檛 know if what I do have is at all interesting to you or anyone else (because nothing except my dreamwidth has anything to do with sims) but:
Lately my favorite form of escapism has been DnD, and I plan to use my waterfall blog to post character and campaign art, as well as talk into the void about my characters + mini campaign I鈥檓 writing. Haven鈥檛 much, yet, but here it is.
Somewhat related, I鈥檓 trying to get into Twitter the Other HellsiteTM but don鈥檛 really have followers for the content mix of oh shit i forgot i have a twitter, personal in public, hey i painted this look, and lol NERD. My personal tumblr is at this point mostly carefully curated and untagged reblogs running on queue, but if that鈥檚 interesting, here it is. Anyone can follow if they want to, and if I know you I鈥檒l probably follow back. I only block assholes and bots.
+ Currently not as active but existing other places:
skindancer: game fan art tumblr that I don鈥檛 use much at the moment. It has my own art, and possibly embarrassing mouth-foaming text posts from when I鈥檝e been really excited about something 2013-2017ish maybe? It鈥檚 been years since I was pumped enough about a game like that: there are only so many DA/ME/Saints Row/KotOR replay rounds you can do. Also tagged reblog categories for game posts, art inspiration, painting tutorials and other related resources.
iosiren(dw): at the moment I鈥檓 backing up the posts on serabiet there. It鈥檚 taking forever because it鈥檚 boring and I don鈥檛 want to do it, so I don鈥檛. Later though, my dreamwidth is where I鈥檒l post the Strange County story.
unlinked AO3 account with one short sad fic waiting for its friends. We don鈥檛 speak of it even if we find it.

11 Questions
I was tagged (seemingly a million years ago) by @illusivesoul to answer 11 Questions and then make up 11 more and tag some people to answer them. Thanks for thinking of me friend! I鈥檓 sorry it took so long to actually answer. Here we go!
1. Favorite genre of games?聽
I like sci-fi games best. Besides Mass Effect, I really like Halo, KOTOR, and Kingdom Hearts.
2. Favorite bands?
Too many to name but here are the ones that come to mind immediately. (I'm sure I've missed some...)
Alexander Jean, Counting Crows, The Decemberists, Gin Blossoms, Maroon 5, and Matchbox 20 are some of my favorite bands. For solo artists, I really like Marc Cohn, Adam Pascal, and Utada Hikaru. Alan Menken is probably my favorite composer.
3. Countries you would like to visit?
Oh my gosh, can I just say all of them? For top five (in alphabetical order) I'd say: Australia, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, and Peru.
4. Movie, book or game that you didn鈥檛 like when you first saw it but you do now?
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. The first time I read it I was in highschool and the writing style made it hard for me to understand what was going on. I read it again in college and I really enjoyed it.
5. Do you like your country?
Not much and even less so recently.
6. Do you believe in fate?
I'm not sure. I don't think so but I wouldn't say I believe it doesn't exist. Does that make sense?
7. Favorite videogame villain?
The Flood from the Halo series. (I actually like ALL the Halo villains but you can't beat The Flood for nightmare fuel.) Honorable mention to聽GLaDOS from the Portal Games.
8. Do you read reviews about a movie before deciding whether to watch it or not?
No. I might ask a friend who saw it but I don't put much stock into "professional" reviews.
9. Favorite season?
Spring, with Autumn as a close second.
10. If you could give one piece of advice to the whole world, what would it be?
Invest your (discretionary) time/energy/money in the things that make you happy. Write the fic you want to write, not the one you "should" write. Take all the time you're spending trying to be friends with that person that broke your heart and put it towards people who are good to you. Sing - even if it's pitchy and off key - because you love to sing, dance - even if it's the Shepard Shuffle - because you love to dance, draw - even if it's messy and anatomically incorrect - because you love to draw. We all have limited resources, so put them into the things that bring you joy.
11. What is a long term goal of yours?
I would like to become fluent in Spanish and Japanese. (And a bunch of other languages but those are my top two.)
I will tag (only if they want to play): @comefeedtherainn,聽@joufancyhuh, @juleshawke,聽@proserpine-in-phases, @ronqueesha,聽@shotce, @sweet-ree, and tag back @illusivesoul. Your questions are:
Are there any clothing or accessories you wear every day? What are they?
Do you have any siblings and where do you fall in birth order?
Do you have a pet? Please tell me about them?
If you could change your eye color would you and to what?
If you could give one piece of advice to yourself 5 years ago, what would it be?
If you could live in a book/TV/movie/videogame universe for a week which would you pick and why?
Please recommend some bands/performers/soundtracks/albums?
What race and class would you be if you were a D&D character?
What's your love language?
What's your favorite thing about yourself at the moment?
What color Lantern would you be in DCs Lantern Corps?
