so russian junior nationals has wrapped up... I knew it was going to be a hard fight for the medals (and jw spots) but I'm absolutely gutted for elizaveta and andrey.... in the end I don't think it was even the twizzle mistake that lost it for them (they still would've come 4th), the judges just preferred d/s 🙃 i hope they won't let this defeat them, come back stronger next season and SMASH IT bbs

(it's insane that a team who made it to the jgpf doesn't even get to go to jr worlds... it just speaks to the depth in russia 😩)

I'm also disappointed for tyutyunina and shustitskiy but I wasn't expecting them to get a spot anyway so I'm super happy with their top 5 finish!! they are one of my best discoveries this season and I cannot wait to see them grow over the next few years, they have SUCH a bright future🌟

now onto pairs... the heartbreak continues💔 it was also going to be like this because there were so many teams I adore. mukhametzianova and mironov are amazing and it's such a shame we won't see them at worlds this season but I am sure they will be there next year... their tech content is insane and I am so excited to see where they go!

and kostiukovich and iialin... one of my first junior teams I truly fell in love with... I hate how their last junior season had to go, but fingers crossed they can make a mark in seniors next season!!

I was delighted for sobnina and volodin's top 6 finish though!
