“How did you like them? How did you like them?” Grogu bounced in his seat from excitement.

Right. Oh shit. Grogu had given her paintings… Paintings that were still in their pile on her desk. Bo-Katan had not had the time to have a single look. Quickly, she plastered on a wide smile and said:

“Those were wonderful, dear! You’re a talented little artist, aren’t you?”

Grogu smiled faintly, then looked thoughtfully down at his plate. “How did you like the elephant?”

“Oh, the elephant was amazing, my favourite!” Bo-Katan cheered, but Grogu’s face only turned more grave.

“There was no elephant.”

Koska walked closer, holding a loose white dress up with her hands. She turned her back to give Bo-Katan access to the lacing in the back, and she dove into tightening the cords until the dress held itself up, and then some more, until it pinched Koska’s waist and popped out her breasts and hips.

“You’d better tell Skywalker that I’ve put so much effort into getting you in this dress that I’ve earned the right to be the one to undress you from it”, Bo-Katan said.

“Already told him.”

“Good.” Pleased with her work, Bo-Katan tied up the ends of the cords and turned Koska around to examine her. Just a few more details - the tiara, the veil, the shoes, and then she was ready. Her hairdo had again the braids crossing her forehead, as a reference to the first time she met Luke, and the front of her white dress had feather-light blue embroidery - just a hint of a pattern that highlighted her toned figure perfectly.

“You’re beautiful”, Bo-Katan sighed, deliberately taking her own hands off her to make absolutely sure that she would not spoil anything before the ceremony had even started.

“I know.”

“He took Grogu! He took Grogu! I’m sorry, I tried to stop him but he…”

“Who?” Din asked a little too sharply, but it was too urgent, he would have to know.

“I don’t know.” IG finally calmed down a notch. “He was all hooded.”

Bo-Katan stared at IG, still in disbelief. In the next moment, something clicked behind her eyes, and she spun on her heels and rushed out.

“Bo, what?” Din tried to ask, but she did not listen. All he could do was to run after her, with IG on his tail. She sprinted all the way to the drawing room and stopped there in front of the mantelpiece. It was empty. The Darksaber was gone.

“Vizsla”, she snarled, and Din and IG nodded in sync.

She met the older Skywalker’s eyes through the crowd, and he frowned at her murderously. Something about getting an old, privileged man so agitated was impossibly exhilarating. Bo-Katan winked her eye at Anakin Skywalker and said:

“100 000 pounds.”

Luke and his father both stared at her wide-eyed. Ms. Fwip raised an eyebrow at them, but they only shook their heads sheepishly.

“Sold with 100 000 pounds to Lady Bo-Katan Djarin”, Fwip announced and went on.

Later, when Bo-Katan collected her price and walked her victoriously to the middle of the dance ground, Koska said:

“You know I’d have danced with you later, any time you wanted. I don’t know if my future in-laws like it that their boy didn’t get the first one.”

“You might marry Skywalker. But I’d still like the world to know that you’re mine”, Bo-Katan rasped, snaked an arm around Koska’s waist, took a hold of her hand and began to sway her.

She shifted her feather-decorated hat to shade her eyes better as she scanned the drop-off area. Like an answer to her unspoken question, there it was: the Reeveses’ car. It stopped at the drop-off point to let the family out, and in the next moment, the audience collectively gaped in shock. Because Lady Koska Reeves stepped out of the car. And she was wearing - trousers . 

Bo-Katan instinctively wetted her lips at the uninhibited view straight into the space between Koska’s legs. And so did almost every man watching her. In hurried strides, a guard approached Koska and cut her way before she could reach the stairway to the audience.

“Excuse me, Your Ladyship, but I have to point out that this outfit is seriously inappropriate, and unfortunately, I have to suspend you from entering…”

“Oh, I’m so sorry”, Koska said in a bright, mock apologetic tone. “I can take these off.”

Din already thought that maybe Grogu had fallen asleep. But before he could leave, Grogu's eyes opened fully, fixed straight at Din’s. “Can I have other parents?”

“Who would you like to have?”

“You. And Frog-Mama!”

Din smiled fondly and tucked next to Grogu the pink frog stitched by IG. “There you go.”

“And Sir Boba. And Omera-bunny. And Cobb-seal!” Grogu went on, and Din handed him the tin soldier, the blue bunny, and the fluffy seal with the red scarf Grogu had added himself when playing that Cobb was a pirate. Grogu giggled like it was a game of how many little parents he could fit in his bed. But then, he turned serious and added: “And Luke.”

“Luke?” It took a moment for Din to realise that Grogu was really talking about Luke Skywalker.

Din found Grogu on the floor of his room, a toy ship clutched in his hand and IG sailing towards it with another one, loaded with tin soldiers eager to catch the fearsome pirates. As soon as Grogu saw Din, his smile widened some more, and he squealed: “Papa, help! My crew is in danger!”

Grogu nudged a third toy ship towards Din, urgently explaining: “They are pirates, too. They can help save their friends.”

“Friends?” Din stroked his beard theatrically in thought, took the ship from Grogu and slowly turned it to face the threatened pirate ship. “Are you sure they are friendly? Because they might be eager to just - PLUNDER YOUR TREASURE FOR THEMSELVES AND SINK YOUR SHIP!”

Grogu squealed in horror and delight and turned his ship around, now on the run from both the authorities and fellow pirates.

“Do you want a break?” Din asked quietly from IG as they both chased Grogu’s ship, but the home nurse only shrugged.
