I don't know how to properly switch topic here but why are some manga readers so mean to anime only's? I just saw a comment complaining about how the show could be ruined by the fanbase due to a combination of political views (which is fair america is a shithole right now and people will definitely respond to sbr politically) and new fans? I... don't understand that part. I don't understand how people experiencing this story for the first time would ruin the part?

Like I'm not only confused but I feel a little disgusted. Why are you gatekeeping this work of art from people who didn't read the manga? I just don't understand why old fans despise newer fans of something they like. "You only like it because it's popular now" is not a valid reason to accuse someone of being a "fake" fan. The only thing I can even think of as a "fake" fan is someone who just like, didn't actually engage with or straight up didn't read/watch the media (and is acting like they know everything about it)

I just don't get it. I don't get why people have to fight to like something or why people have to justify liking something. I'm a little disgusted this idea has infiltrated the jojos fandom. It's fucking jojos. Why would you gatekeep the legitimately most insane bonkers wacky stole-your-lungs-and-liver story to ever exist? (not fact checked)

I want to force people to watch jojos just so I can laugh at them. I might just fucking do it to.
