what a day it was!! when i reached school, everyone was super chaotic and anxious. why? because 2 anonymous people (under the identity of Ching and Doll ) had sent emails to over 200 schools in Kolkata (my city), threatening a bomb attack. the mails were sent over at night, and the date for the blast was today. Tuesday 9th April 2024. timing would be between 8:30 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. some of the schools had already declared a holiday but obviously, my school isn't one to do that lol. apparently, the bombs had been implanted in 2 schools, the night before. random 2 schools out of 200. and this is being done to scare people off by bombing schools. also apparently, 2 terrorists are on the lose, here in my city and they are doing all this. so anyways, we all came to know about it by the time we had already reached school lol. we were nervous, obviously and were calling up our parents to inform them about this because nobody knew anything about it till today morning. but then soon it was 8:30 and then 9 and nothing happened. the Kolkata police later confirmed that the mails were probably sent to create mass panic and yeahh this is most definitely a security threat to everyone and it definitely worried us and it was all over the news today morning sooo yeahh.

We're on the seventh row or something and the plane didn't have a first class? and then after we've boarded, suddenly my sister's like "ykw, that's Sonu Nigam" pointing to somebody like 5 rows ahead of us (not even on the first row) which i inherently think is weird. and I'm like no, obviously not.

cut to plane being mid-air, and didi gets up from her spot and goes to the 2nd row and comes back with a signed???? diary???????? it was scrapbook era so she just carried it around (I must have been like ten or nine at the time) and I'm just there like. blink blink.

at last, mother allows me to also go to the front and i go w my sister and say hi, and ask for his autograph (as a reflex, i had nothing to sign) and he smiles back (very beautiful in person, very very very beautiful hair, black and glossy oof) and it's BRIGHTENING. i kinda just freeze, then go back to my seat and we confirm later once we're back on land, JUST TO BE SURE, that yes, Sonu Nigam was supposed to be in delhi at the time, so indeed it was him. indeed indeed.
