"Hello, love. I wasn't expecting to get a call from you."
I grinned at the voice of the youngest Mikaelson brother coming through the other end of the phone. I'd met him at the Grill a few weeks ago, and we'd pretty much immediately hit it off. I'd been trying to work up the courage to ask him out ever since, and after overhearing his siblings talking about how close he'd come to dying recently, I'd decided to stop wasting time and just give him a call.
"Hi Kol. Uh, I know this is kind of out of the blue, but... well, I wanted to see if you wanted to maybe get together at some point and... talk. Hang out. All that... stuff..."
I grimaced. I'd never done this before, and it was probably painfully obvious, especially to a vampire with a literal thousand years of experience.
"You want to get together and talk?" asked Kol, a lilt to his voice that I couldn't quite decipher. Everything in me screamed that I should bail out, but I grit my teeth and forced myself to toughen up.
"Yeah. If that's something you'd want to do."
"Oh, it very much is." My heart stopped. I'd been sure this call was about to be a total fumble, but apparently, somehow it'd worked? "What did you have in mind?"
"Uh..." I mentally kicked myself. I'd spent so much time trying to work up the nerve to actually call him, I hadn't thought at all about what I would do if he actually said yes. "Well, I don't know. Is there anywhere you'd especially like to meet up? Or anything you'd like to do?"
"How about your house?" The doorbell rang. "Right now?"
My brain short circuited. He was here? Now? I wasn't ready at all! The house was fairly clean, and I didn't look like a total mess, but I also wasn't ready for a date! And wasn't a first date supposed to be about thirty degrees more chill and removed, like a going to a movie or dinner or something?
I forced myself to take a deep breath. Yes, this was technically a first date, but Kol and I had interacted before. We were friendly, maybe even friends. It's not like he was some stranger I was about to let into my home.
"Uh, sure. Now is... now is good. I take it you're the one at my door?"
"Yes I am, darling."
"Okay. Well, then... I guess I'll see you in a second."
I hung up the phone before I could make any more of a fool of myself, paused at the mirror in the hallway to quickly adjust my outfit, then strode confidently to the front door. If I pretended to be confident, it would probably rub off and turn into the real thing, right?
I swung open my door to find a grinning Kol on the other side, one arm raised and resting against the doorframe. My heart did a little backflip at that, and I just hoped his vampire senses hadn't clued him in on it.
"Well? Aren't you going to invite me in?"
"Oh! Right, yeah, come on in, Kol."
He grinned at me as he slowly, deliberately put one foot over the threshold, then the other. He paused once he officially stood in my house, facing me with a look like he expected me to have some kind of reaction. I just gave him a smile.
"Welcome in. Uh, I'll be honest, I wasn't really prepared for you to come over, like, now. But we can make some drinks, maybe play a board game or something? I actually think I have an at-home dart board buried somewhere around here if you want to get your ass kicked like you did the first time we met."
Kol huffed a laugh, a smaller, more genuine smile pulling onto his face as he shook his head at me.
"Well, now we have to play, don't we? I can't let my honor be tarnished without fighting back."
"I think it only counts as tarnishing your honor if it's not true," I mused as I led Kol into the kitchen, incredibly aware of how closely he followed behind me. If vampires could hear heart beats, then I was well and truly screwed.
"Exactly. I didn't get my ass kicked in darts, so what you said wasn't true."
I paused long enough to give Kol a judgey look over my shoulder, then walked around to the cabinets behind the kitchen island.
"Alright, I'll go dig out the dartboard in a minute, but let's figure out drinks first. I'll be honest, I'm not the best bartender, but I'll see what I can do."
"Here, let me. I'm an excellent bartender."
Kol reached for the bottles in my hand, but I paused, holding them slightly away from him. He leaned into me, and my heart did its stupid jumping jacks again, although I ignored it. Instead, I fixed Kol with another look.
"Are you an excellent bartender in the way you're an excellent dart player? Or are you actually an excellent bartender?"
Kol shook his head, an edged smile spread on his face as he reached across me and took the bottles from my hands. I was more than a little disappointed when he pulled away.
"Alright, I'm going to make us some drinks while you go and get that dart board, right now. We're going to settle this, once and for all."
"I'm still not totally sure that I actually have it," I reminded him, walking backwards out of the kitchen. Kol just hummed, shooting me one last look as he got to work on the drinks before I turned the corner.
As soon as I was out of his sight, I paused to take a few deep breaths. I was starting to feel seriously giddy hanging out with him like this, and I needed to calm the hell down. It was a casual first date, after all. I didn't need to get ahead of myself.
Once the butterflies in my chest had settled down a bit, I walked the rest of the way to the hall closet, or what I thought of as my junk closet. It was packed with things that were just useful or sentimental enough that I didn't want to throw them away, but that basically never came in handy on a regular basis. If that dartboard someone had gotten me for my birthday a few years ago was anywhere, it would be here.
I dug through a few boxes I thought might be likely candidates, trying to remember where past me might've put things last time I'd organized everything. Finally, after what felt like way too much searching, I found it at the bottom of a box on a higher shelf. Even better, a bag with all the darts still together was with it.
I grinned, doing a little triumphant fist pump to myself before turning to head out of the closet. In the doorway, however, I found Kol hovering, watching me intently, a menacing air about him that hadn't been there earlier.
"Hey... what are you doing?" I asked. He raised an eyebrow at me and crossed his arms.
"Me? I was about to ask you the same thing, darling. It really took you that long to find the dart board?"
I furrowed my eyebrows at him, watching for any clues as to what the hell he was doing before briefly glancing away to check the time my phone. Honestly, it hadn't even been that long.
"I mean, yes? Have you looked around this closet at all since you got here? It's a mess. How long have you been standing there, anyway?"
"I'm not an idiot, sweetheart," he said instead of answering me, taking another step forward. I narrowed my eyes at him. "I know you're back here messaging your little friends, trying to set up another ambush for me after the first one didn't work. I know how you Mystic Falls people like to operate."
My frown deepened. "Kol, what the hell are you talking about?"
"Don't play innocent with me, darling, it won't work. So who have you been texting?"
"No one, other than you! I knew you were acting weird on the phone, and when you first showed up. I thought my nerves were just getting the better of me, but apparently not."
"Nerves for what? Don't tell me Jeremy's going to come bursting through the door playing Van Helsing again."
"Jeremy who, Kol? Seriously, I have no idea what you're talking about."
For the first time since he'd appeared in the closet doorway, Kol seemed to believe me. His look changed from borderline threatening to almost as confused as my own.
"Jeremy Gilbert."
I paused, trying to place the name. It sounded familiar, but it took me a little while to figure out why.
"That's... Elena Gilbert's little brother? Right?"
"Yes. You're actually trying to tell me you don't know him?"
I scoffed. "Kol, of course I don't know him. I graduated from high school when he was still in middle school. I barely remember him or his sister."
He studied me, eyes scanning my face, apparently looking for some sign of a lie. I just watched him back, waiting on some kind of explanation for this to make sense.
"So you're not working with Elena and her little group of friends, then? Or either of the Salvatores?"
"No, Kol. Working with them on what?"
"You're not lying."
"I know I'm not lying! Now what the hell are you talking about?"
Kol sighed, slumping back against the doorframe a little, the tension easing out of his body although he still looked a little confused. I could relate.
"Elena and Jeremy tried to kill me not too long ago," he said, as if he was saying they'd asked him for directions on the street. "Elena tried to keep me busy by lying about wanting to discuss a truce with me. I assumed this was a terrible second attempt at the same thing."
I sighed, shaking my head and closing my eyes for a beat as I leaned against the shelf behind me. I knew he was a vampire, and I'd even known someone had tried to kill him recently. But somehow, I'd underestimated the level of ridiculous drama and miscommunication that would likely create.
"Yikes. Well... I'm glad you survived, and I can honestly tell you that I'm not a part of any plot to try to kill you. I can't even remember the last time I talked to Elena, and the only time I've ever talked to either of the Salvatores was when Damon was drunk and hit on me at the Grill."
Kol snorted. "Sounds familiar."
"I'm sure."
The two of us stayed put, neither moving to stand up or leave the closet, neither speaking either. The silence just hung, and I had no idea what I was supposed to do next, so it was a relief when Kol leaned forward, the menace in his posture gone and replaced by tentative curiosity.
"You know, this leaves us with a very important question."
"And what's that?"
"If you weren't trying to drive a stake through my heart... why did you call me and ask to meet up?"
And just like that, the relief was replaced with sheer nervous panic.
"Uh... well..."
Kol grinned and took a few steps towards me.
"You said you wanted to get together and talk," he said, a teasing tone to his voice that made my heart speed up at the same time that it made me want to give him a shove. "What exactly did you want to talk about, if not murdering me?"
I shook my head, trying and failing to keep a smile off my face. Kol was well and truly in my space now, standing right in front of me, one arm over my head and leaning against the shelf behind me. Based on the grin he gave me when I met his eyes, I got the feeling he could hear my heart racing.
"I... Well, I was trying to ask you on a date."
"Were you now?" asked Kol, his shit eating grin doubling in size. I huffed.
"Yes. And it took a lot of effort to work up the courage to actually go through with it, so if you're just messing with me right now with the whole leaning into my space and flirting thing, I might actually join Team Try To Kill Kol."
Kol just laughed and shook his head, leaning in a little bit further as he did. I couldn't help a subconscious glance at his lips, and with the way they curled up even further, I knew he'd noticed.
"I'd never dream of messing with you about this, darling. Honestly, this is the best news I've gotten in days. If I hadn't been working to keep a few different people from killing me, I would've asked you out a week ago."
I grinned. "Really?"
"Absolutely."
I huffed a happy, disbelieving laugh as Kol leaned the rest of the way in, his lips finding mine. Fireworks exploded in my chest at the sensation, especially as he wrapped one arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him. My hands found his shoulders, holding on tightly, and when I finally pulled away after a few long, long moments, I was a little breathless and a little dizzy.
"Now that was worth thinking I was about to be vampire-slayed," said Kol, grinning at me before starting to lean in again. I laughed, but put a hand to his chest to stop him.
"I agree, but this is still a first date. I want to actually talk to you and get to know you beyond the few conversations we've had at the Grill, not just make out in my closet."
"You didn't like making out in the closet?"
"I didn't say that." Kol grinned, and I gave him an exasperated smile of my own. "I like this, Kol, a lot. But I could've just kept flirting at you with the Grill if all I wanted was to make out with you. Dates are supposed to be... a little more than that, at least to me."
Kol sighed, bringing his hand up to cup my chin and running his thumb across my lips before stepping back. My heart was doing backflips, and from the smirk on his face, I knew he could tell.
"Alright then, darling. I'll give your version of a date a try. As much as I like making out in closets, it might be nice to just talk to you for a bit, too."
I beamed at him. "Good. Although, it doesn't have to be all talk." I retrieved the dartboard that had been shoved back onto a shelf when Kol had first gotten in my space and held it up. "We have a few things to settle, after all."
"Oh yes we do. Come on love, our drinks are waiting in the kitchen. You're going to need one, so you have something to blame your loss on later tonight."
"Keep talking, Twilight. It's just gonna make it that much sweeter when I win."

Hi there! Did I hear you say that requests are open for Kol Mikaelson? Yes? Excellent! (You have made a mistake in giving me this power.)
Okay, I've been thinking about this for a while, so would you be willing to do a Kol x ghost!reader fic? I was thinking it could take place after Kol comes back from the dead in NOLA and he starts seeing this girl hanging around the compound - a girl no one else can see. He and this ghost become really close friends but she doesn't remember anything about her life or death - just that she's dead and can't leave the compound. But over time she begins remembering and realizes that her new best friend is the one who killed her in the first place....
I know that's really specific but you can decide the rest and I can't wait to see what you make of this idea 🥰 Thank you so much, lovely!!!

🍄 Pairing: Kol Mikaelson x Reader
🍄 Genre: Fluff/light angst
🍄 Summary: Since returning from the dead, Kol had wanted to live his life to the fullest. The last thing he planned was to have a dead stalker.
🍄 Word Count: 1783
🍄 Abbreviations: N/A
🍄 Warnings: Death, blood, mentions of murder, a little Twilight bashing
🍄 Note: Thank you for this request @fitzs-trained-monkey! I really enjoyed writing this. Sorry it took so long, this was such a great request I wanted to make sure I did it justice. I intend on making 1 or 2 more parts to this to build a mini series soon! Hope you enjoy! 😊

Kol had seen you twice before he knew who you were.
The first had been a few days after Davina had successfully returned him to his original body. You had been hovering outside the Compound, watching. At first, Kol had assumed you were some kind of spy. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time someone had been sent to gather intel on his family and report back to aid in some plan for their demise. But then he had caught sight of your attire. The front of your clothing was caked in the thick red liquid he and his family had come to crave, yet he couldn’t smell a thing. He had started to follow you but you had slipped down a short and narrow street and merged amongst the many tourists, disappearing from sight and unable to track you, Kol hadn’t given it another thought.
The second time had been during one of the extravagant parties his brother Niklaus had decided to throw. It was just after midnight and despite the glorious variety of alcohol and women available, Kol was bored. Elijah had been droning on about something, but Kol wasn’t too sure what they were talking about anymore, but one thing he did know was that he wasn’t interested in anything his brother had to say. Elijah’s words seemed to skim over his head as he stared aimlessly at the people below. The noble Elijah could be so boring. Kol was mentally planning his escape route when you caught his eye from the balcony. You were dressed in the same clothes as before and you were still completely caked in blood. In a split second, Kol had placed his drink precariously on the edge of the balcony railing and took off in your direction, weaving his way through the crowded bodies. Kol had been aware of Elijah’s presence behind him, but still he followed you, determined to find out who you were. As he and Elijah stormed through the doorway you had passed through, you stood still opposite, eyes wide having been caught red-handed.
“Who are you?” Kol demanded. Silence only greeted him as your lips parted in shock.
“Kol, who are you talking to?” Kol flashed his brother an annoyed glance.
“Her-“ He flicked his head around to see you still stood there frozen. “I’ve seen her twice now!”
“Kol,” his brother spoke slowly, as you offered a small smile and an awkward wave. “There’s no one here.”
And now here he was, sat in the armchair he had bought for his room, book in hand. He didn’t flinch as he heard your breathing by his ear, his eyes remaining focused on the lines of words. It was one of the things about Kol that no one could’ve guessed, him being a reader. Since his return from the dead he had spent the majority of his time, when he wasn’t bothering his brothers that is, catching up on all of the literature he had missed in the years he had been in that blasted coffin. When he had been awoken by the Salvatore brothers, he barely had the time to read given his murderous mother and then the orders that Niklaus had tasked him with in regards to Jeremy Gilbert. But now he had the time.
He lifted a hand from the arm of the chair and flipped the page, he scanned the last few lines of the chapter then slipped in a bookmark and closed the book.
“I don’t understand the appeal myself,” Kol explained as he flipped the book in his hands, glancing across the cover. “Edward seem’s like a right twat.”
“Right!” you gasped, finally glad that someone could see the true colours of the fictional vampire. “He’s so controlling and manipulative, you see that as you move on through the books. But I mean the total disregard for his family’s safety,” Kol nodded along. “And don’t even get me started on Bella. you’s so bland, I mean seriously? I mean I get what Stephenie Meyer was trying to do make her like the average girl, but there’s average and then there’s boring, stale even,” Kol didn’t dare speak as you rambled on, a sprinkle of glittery stars appearing in your eyes as you continued to express your distaste for the bland character.
It was extraordinary - you were extraordinary.
You couldn’t remember a thing about your living life. Not your family, friends, not where you lived, anything you had done. The furthest you and Kol had gotten was a name, although it had taken the pair of you a few hours and a few dozen phone books to come up with that. There were a few (y/n)’s in the phone book of New Orleans that had been circulated just a few months ago, but even then you couldn’t identify which of the (y/n)’s you were. But now you had a name. Kol could no longer just refer to you as ‘the dead stalker’, which after a few weeks had become less of an insult and more of a term of endearment.
You couldn’t remember anything about your life, but you could remember intense feelings, like these feelings about Bella and Edward from Twilight. You also had had intense feelings about Kol’s relationships with his siblings that were still shaky and that had led Kol to the assumption that family was an important thing to you when you were alive.
“Oh, I’m rambling, sorry…” Kol was certain he could see a blush beginning to flush your cheeks as you dropped your gaze to the book cover, avoiding his eyes.
“No, please, don’t be sorry, darling,” He grinned. “How could I ever tire of your sweet voice?” Kol knew exactly what he was doing. Since he had first realized how shy you could be, he had been doing everything in his power to make you blush like the delicate rose that you were and every time so far, he had succeeded.
“And who’s sweet voice would that be, brother?” Niklaus’ words shattered the peaceful comfort that had settled in the room and Kol’s grin dipped slightly.
“Well yours of course, Niklaus, who else?” Kol flickered his eyes to you as you giggled into your hand, not that his brothers could hear you. Elijah stepped further into the room whilst Niklaus stayed situated at the door, resting against the frame with his arms crossed over his chest a slight grimace on his lips.
Elijah was more suspicious than his counterpart, Kol could tell. It was the way his eyes flickered around every inch of the room, searching for any intruder that could be hiding. Which only made it all the more amusing to Kol that Elijah would never find the intruder, you.
“Is there a reason you interrupted my reading time, or did you just wish to throw my afternoon plans out of the window?” In a split second, Niklaus had sped past Kol and grabbed the book from his hands, flipping it in his own to read the cover.
“The sparkly vampires. Really Kol?”
“A friend recommended it,” Kol defended as he sped past Niklaus to take the book back and rested it on the small side table by the chair. He watched out the corner of his eye as you slipped down from the arm of the chair and sat comfortably, your legs thrown over one of the arms and your back rested against the other.
“You have friends-?”
“I think we’re getting a bit off track here, Niklaus,” Elijah interrupted before Kol could snark back at their brother. “We came here to politely ask that you stop terrorizing the women at the local library,” Elijah ran his fingers along the spines on the bookcase wall. “It’s come to our attention from the Human faction that you’ve been spending a lot of time at the library talking with the women, one in particular being the daughter of the new Faction leader, Ottilie Landry. As you can imagine, he is hardly pleased knowing that you have been hovering around her.”
“I haven’t been terrorizing anyone,” Kol spoke firmly, all signs of amusement drained from his features leaving a displeased anger in it’s place. “Yes, I went down to the library. And yes, I asked the lovely ladies working there for their help, but I have not upset anyone. I did not threaten nor compel anyone.”
“Then why would they do as you asked?” Niklaus questioned, not bothering to hide the accusatory tone that slipped from his tongue.
“I simply asked brother. Not all of us are so feral that we’ve forgotten how to interact with others.” The slight twitch of Niklaus’ eyes was enough for Kol to know that he had successfully tapped a nerve. Elijah must’ve noticed too as he quickly carried on.
“What is it you’ve asked them to do, Kol? What could you possibly want with the library staff? You know the rules on feeding on the locals-”
“Of course,” Kol scoffed. “If I’m involved it must mean I’m up to something sinister. I must be out to destroy the city that you build whilst I was tucked away in that retched box,” his voice heightened as the underlying anger began to boil. “God forbid, I wish to live here peacefully like the rest of you. I must be up to something. Well, no, Elijah. I did not plan on feeding from the locals. I simply asked them to look through the old archives for some information I wanted to find. Is that sinister enough for you?”
A silence filled the air and despite Kol’s simmering anger, neither of his brothers seemed to care for his words, although Elijah did have the decency to look a little uncomfortable but it disappeared in a split second.
“I’m sure you’re expecting me to take off and massacre half of New Orleans in a fit of rage. Anything that would excuse you shoving one of those bloody daggers into my chest for another few centuries, right?” Kol scoffed. “But lucky for you brothers, I’ve grown up and changed my toxic ways,” His phone vibrated against the side of his leg in his jeans pocket and he slipped it out just enough to glance at the screen briefly. “It’s just a shame you haven’t done the same.”
Kol made his way out of the room, knowing that you were following close behind. He began to make his way to the entrance of the compound, not stopping till he was just out of sight of his brothers before he held his phone screen up to show you the text that had come through.
‘I found something. Tilly.’

For A Friend
Kol Mikaelson X Fem!Reader
Word Count: 1707
Requested: Anon
Request: The originals one shot. Can you write one about liking kol and davina knows about it and she tries to set you guys up?
You and Davina had been friends since she had managed to get away from Marcel and Klaus to create her own life. You were one of, if not the only witch that didn’t judge her for everything that had happened. You rarely questioned her decisions and helped her when things went wrong.
When she told you that she wanted to save Kol after everything that he had done for her, you stood by her yet again, despite the stories that you had been told about the Mikealsons. It took some time but Davina succeeded in her quest to bring him back and you were the first people that he saw smiling at Davina as if she were an old friend but when he looked at you it seemed to stop for a second.
“Who’s this?” He asked as Davina threw a set of clothes at him. “A friend.” Davina answered as you lifted your hand to give a small wave. “The friend you didn’t want me to meet before?” He asked. “You talked about me before?” You asked leaning back against the wall and crossing your arms. “Only for her to tell me to stay away from you.” Kol shrugged “she was convinced that I would cause you trouble.” “I didn’t know you then.” Davina defended herself. “Aw you care about me!” You teased as you looked at her with a smirk on your face. “Shut up.” Davina ordered as Kol laid down on the bed. “So are you going to tell me your name or what?” Kol asked. “Now why would I give the big bad Mikaelson my name?” You asked. “Surely Davina explained that I’m not as bad as they make me out to be.” He smirked his hands pulled up behind his head for him to rest on them. “Doesn’t mean I believe her.” You shrugged. “You wouldn’t be here if you didn’t.” Kol rolled his eyes and you smirked. “(Y/N).” You finally said. “Pretty name.” He said softly as you turned towards the door. “Well I’ve got things to do so I’ll be seeing you.” You turned and left.
A few hour later Davina was lounging all over your sofa as you cooked for the two of you “so are you going to tell me what that was with Kol earlier?” She asked, you glanced at her and shrugged. “What are you talking about?” You asked. “The flirting.” She answered. “I was not flirting.” You argued pointing the spatula at her. “Are you sure, it seemed like flirting to me.” Davina teased as she walked over leaning over your shoulder to see what you were making. “You're young, you don’t know what flirting is.” You waved her off as you started plating the food. “We’re the same age and you were definitely flirting.” She rolled her eyes as you looked at her and narrowed your eyes. “Hush otherwise I’ll eat all this food and you’ll get nothing.” You informed her and she lifted her hands in surrender as you nodded to yourself passing her the food and speaking no more of it.
“Fancy seeing you here.” You recognised Kol’s voice but the voice that followed was one that you didn’t. “Do you know this girl brother?” He asked. “She’s a witch.” Kol answered, you finally looked over at him cheek resting on the heel of your hand. “Is there something that I can help you with?” You asked. “I can’t just say hello?” Kol asked as he leant against your table, his arms crossed over his chest. “Not when you want something.” You answered “who are you looking for Davina?” “She wouldn’t help me, even if it benefitted her.” The other guy spoke and you looked at him. “You are?” You asked, he raised an eyebrow as if he was confused by your obliviousness. “This is my brother Klaus.” Kol answered. “You're the big bad wolf.” You nodded, taking a sip from the drink that you had ordered before going back to what you were doing. “I knew you wanted something.” You mumbled when neither of them moved. “Alright so we do need something.” Kol answered. “Uh huh. Who would have guessed it.” You looked at them again waiting for them to explain. “We need a locator spell to find my sister, she seems to have gone missing.” Klaus explained. “By missing you mean out of the house for more than 24 hours?” You asked. “How’d you know that?” Kol asked. “I may not have known what you looked like but I know enough about you to know that you're controlling. When you have evidence that your sister has been kidnapped and isn’t out having a good time, then I will help you.” You explained. Kol smirked at you while Klaus stormed out of the restaurant. “Do you have a death wish?” Kol asked. “Strong morals.” You answered. “You're a very interesting witch.” Kol smirked as he pushed off of the table. “I want to learn more about you.”
“This friend of yours.” Kol muttered as Davina looked at him. “What about her?” She asked. “Is she this icy with everyone?” He asked. “No.” Davina answered. “So she doesn’t actually like me?” He asked. “Why do you care?” Davina asked, a small smirk on her face. “I don’t, I was just wondering.” Kol answered with a shrug as he fiddled with something that was on the table in her workspace. “Stop playing with everything.” She scolded him, he lifted his hands with a playful smile on his face as he stepped away. “She’s the only person that seems to bother you, we were the same way when you were in Kaleb’s body and you never seemed bothered, it’s the same with your sisters, usually you thrive on that energy, is there something that you aren’t telling me?” Davina asked. “Why am I being interrogated when I was the one that came to ask a question?” He asked. “Because I think you would be cute together and honestly I think you both like each other.” Davina answered. “Has she said that!?” He asked. “No but you just did.” Davina informed him as continued to complete the task that she had started over half an hours ago and he continued to stop her from doing. “Will you leave if I ask her for you?” “Ask her?” Kol asked. “If she likes you?” Davina answered. “You would do that?” He asked, he almost looked like a puppy being offered its favourite toy. “Yes as long as you leave me alone.” She answered. “Consider me gone.” He said before actually disappearing out the door.
“So about Kol…” Davina said as she plopped down on the sofa next to you. “Why are we talking about him again?” You asked. “Because you get super defensive and you’ve never been like that before, you like him don’t you?” Davina asked. “Like him?” You asked. “Don’t do that, you know what I mean.” She argued as you looked at her and narrowed your eyes. “You really aren’t going to drop this are you?” You asked. “Only if you tell me the truth.” She smirked, leaning back on her hands. “Alright, he might be easy on the eyes and fun to talk to.” You shrugged as you looked away “can we stop talking about this now?” “Yeah sure.” She answered, dropping the subject a little too quickly for your liking, she was definitely up to something.
It was the next day that you found out what it was that she was up to when someone knocked on your door. You opened it to find Kol leaning against the doorframe “what are you doing here?” You asked. “I heard something, thought I should ask you about it.” He explained. “Oh yeah what is that?” You asked. “This is a conversation that you probably don’t want to have in your corridor, do you want to invite me in?” He asked. “No.” You answered. “Don’t be like that, surely you don’t want your neighbours to hear about your little crush?” He asked. “What the hell are you talking about?” You asked, you knew exactly what he was talking about. “A little birdy told me that you might think I’m easy on the eyes and fun to talk to.” He shrugged, you were going to kill Davina the moment that you saw her. “By your silence I assume that you did say that?” “Get in here.” You said through gritted teeth as you pulled him into your small apartment glaring at him, as the door closed Kol doubled back on you strapping you against the door. “You don’t know how much I wanted it to be true.” He said softly, arms caging you against the door you had just closed. “What are you doing?” You asked. “Well, since you like me and I like you, I think we should skip all the formalities and I’ll just show you what’s on offer.” Kol suggested nudging your face to the side as his lips dropped to rest on the connecting skin of your neck and shoulder. “As long as you show me the very same.” “The same…” You breathed out, eyes scanning around the room trying to focus on anything else, you felt him press a soft kiss to your neck as he moved towards your lips, your hands moved up to grip the back of his coat as his breath brushed over your ear, his lips hovering close to your ear. “I promise to give you everything, protect you from everything and prove to you that I am worth your trust and love.” Kol said softly. “So prove it.” You managed to say, proud of yourself for the fact that you sounded pretty steady. “Are you sure?” He asked. “I wouldn’t ask if I weren’t-” You never finished that sentence because he connected your lips in a gentle teasing kiss, one hand moving down to grip your hip while the other braced against the door, your hands moving to touch whatever you could as you tried to ground yourself. Maybe you didn’t have to kill Davina later but you did need to have a long talk about the girl code and maybe pay her back someday.

Curtains Poly Mikealsons x reader
Time it took me: About a month
word count: 1581
To anon: Hello lovely, I hoped you liked it! <3
Love <3
“Why can’t I leave?” You questioned frowning your eyebrows.
“Because it’s not safe Love. Understand that.” Kol said, sighing softly.
You had been asking the same question for about 5 minutes and each person you asked gave you a dull short answer. You knew everything about your mates. Well everything that they would tell you that is.
You were a witch who didn’t belong to a coven who was surrounded 24/7 by original vampires and one original hybrid. You're definitely not a skilled witch though, Klaus often refers to you as his little witch. You’ve set things on fire in anger when you’ve gotten into a fight with just about anyone. Things or people.. You’ve never tried running from your power as much as you’ve thought about trying to find a way to lock up your magic and seal it away for a better day. The world is just too dangerous to sit around defenseless regardless if you know or don’t know how to work with the weapons you’ve been given.
“Why is it not safe? What’s going on? I woke up and none of you were there just for me to come find you all and you basically give me the side eye when I ask something!” You said starting to raise your voice. Kol looked at you and he could see the fire in your eyes. You were getting upset and that wasn’t something that they could deal with right now.
Kol walked closer to you grabbing both of your hands with each of his he put them both on each side of his cheeks. It was a little habit that you’ve grown when showing affection to any of your four lovers. When they’d ask why? you’d always just say “Two hands to ground you. Two eyes to calm you.” It always worked so much that when you would freak out or get anger they started using your calming tactics on you themselves.
“Darling please calm down or else you’ll bloody burn the house down.” Kol said softly staring into your eyes rubbing your cheeks with his thumbs. So you started focusing on the feeling of his hands and you felt yourself relax and doing so slowed your heart down. Him hearing this he gave you a sly smirk "Good girl." He kissed your forehead and not a second after he was gone.
"What the hell Kol!" You yelled out feeling all of your 5 second relaxation get thrown out of the window..
Sighing, you shook your head and went on a journey through the rest of the compound to look for your mates. When you did they all were in the same room huddled up together basically whispering with the occasional yell from each other.
“What’s going on?” You asked, smiling softly in hope to soften them up to spill the beans.
“Nothing of your concern.” Klaus said immediately.
While Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah and Kol were huddled up Freya was off to the side mixing up some herbs. You couldn’t tell what they were but off the back you knew they were very strong protection herbs.
“What’s going on?” You asked sternly, shifting your eyes between your four loves and Freya.
“It’s nothing-”
“Stop fucking with me and tell me what’s going on! Tell me why you have the walls sealed up like were all stuck here in hell on earth it’s fucking hot in here! Why is it so hot!” You ranted as your mates watched you with wide eyes. Some eyes were full of shock, others were filled with admiration.
“Oh my god the curtains!” Freya said, jumping up, making you turn around to see that you set the curtains in the room on fire.
“My what is your constant need to try to burn us all to oblivion my little witch?” Klaus questioned. Turning to him you only saw admiration from him.
It was one of the things that made you love him more and more. The fact that you could burn the whole world to ash he would be right next to you cheering you on with a smile on his face. Elijah would lecture you on how you’d feel after the world was finished burning. Kol would be on the same page as Klaus, just happy to start some chaos with his love by his side. And Rebekah well it would all just depend on her mood of that day.
It made you feel less of a freak. An uncontrollable freak.
“I didn’t mean to.” You said calmly.
Freya tamed the fire with her powers but they've all learned that your flames only go out depending on your mood. And as long as you were upset or irritated the flames could and would raise at any given time. So the only reasonable thing would be to tell you what’s going on.
“Come on Nik wouldn’t you rather her know or burn down the bloody compound?” Rebekah asked, looking at Klaus.
“It will upset her. And you see what happens when she’s upset.” Klaus said frustrated that this was even still a conversion.
“It will bring her some peace, knee Klaus.” Elijah said always thinking of your well being.
“Fine bloody tell her and if we all burn don’t look at me for help.” He said plopping down into a chair further away gesturing at someone to go ahead and tell you the news.
“Marcel is planning on killing us all.” Kol said calmly.
“What?!” You yelled out with wide eyes causing the fire around to come back full force.
“Calm her!” Freya said no longer able to tame the flame.
“What did I tell you?” Klaus said, rolling his eyes.
“Bloody hell I liked those curtains.” Rebekah said, shaking her head.
You didn’t know much about they’re history with Marcel. All that you knew was he was supposed to be a friend of some sort and sometimes family? It was complicated, They said something that you never found yourself interested enough to pry about. So you didn’t. If you didn’t ask any questions you wouldn’t see him as anything more than a friendly vampire who they throw hands with sometimes. You never thought it was that deep. Until now.
“Why is he trying to kill you-”
“Never mind the reason why thousands of people want to kill us for so many different reasons.” Elijah said plainly like it was just so simple.
“They've crafted yet another weapon to try to unleash downfall upon us. It is yet another useless thing that will cease to exist once we're all done.” Klaus said, walking to you.
As he walked to you he held eye contact with you making your heart yet again flutter. Grabbing both of your cold hands with his warm ones giving you a sly smirk he then said.
“You have nothing to worry about. Especially if your worries are about us love. What you should be worried about is what curtains are going to replace the ones you’ve just burned down for no reason.” He finished kissing your lips gently but quick as he pulled away he let go of your hands and speedily walked away. Not even giving you time to say goodbye and good luck.
The flames being gone Freya also turned to leave the room. But before she left completely she said “Try not to burn anything else while we're gone yeah?”
“I didn’t mean to.” You said shuffling from one foot to another.
“I think it’s sexy how destructive you are.. As long as you are nowhere near my closet.” Rebekah said smiling kissing your forehead following behind the two who just left the room. You watched as she walked away and when you turned another there were only two left. Kol and Elijah
“Kol-” You started but was rudely cut off.
“Nope, I've already said my greetings and dismissals to you love. I couldn’t bear to do it all over again.” He stated giving you a forehead kiss on his walk out of the room.
“What the hell?” You whispered to yourself shaking your head.
“You should eat something. Read what I’ve laid on your bed, It should give you what you need to know on how to control your magic. It was my mothers.” Elijah said, taking a few long strides to you and stopping in front of you.
“Are you going to kill him?” You asked in hopes the answer was going to be no. You knew Marcel was like an on and off family member.
“If we must, I will lay down his life myself for the sake of my family.” He said sternly, smoothing down his suit.
“I thought he was family?” You questioned looking up at him.
“Sometimes family turns to foe and there's nothing you can do but save the family you have left.” After he said that you saw he was in deep thought. His eyes looked to be lost in the mist of fog. Right when you were going to say something he opened his mouth.
“I’ll make sure they control themselves. Please eat.” And with that he laid his hands on the sides of your face and kissed the top of your head. Your daddy issues were screaming, not even gonna lie. When he let go he walked away leaving with the others which left you alone with yourself and the one thought you had.
“What the hell is there to eat in this house besides blood?”

Might be really lame but can I request Klaus meeting Reader after she attends the funeral of a relative in Mystic Falls? Maybe he makes her smile or something cheesy like that. Just a little meet cute goodness would be lovely 💗
she's the giggle at a funeral | klaus mikaelson
author's note; me writing things that could be considered love at first sight? it's more likely than you think
warnings: tw death, death of a grandparent, it's not graphic but it's the overall theme, grieving, brief angst just bc of internal feelings, but then klaus shows up and makes it all better. corny cheesy gooey feelings <3 enjoy
Her grandmother prided herself on her intuition.
She’d grown up with the stories of witches and vampires and everything else that went bump in the night, and though she got older and dismissed most of the warnings she’d been told her whole life, she never forgot that her grandmother was someone who believed.
And everyone else had always believed in her grandma, too. She was sought out everywhere she went. People naturally flocked to her, as if they could tell she had all of the answers to life in the palms of her wrinkled hands, and she’d lost count of how many times she’d seen someone literally throw themselves at her grandma’s feet, begging for help, or answers, or god knows what.
Her grandma liked helping people. But more than anything, her grandma liked being right. She prided herself on her intuition, and how it never steered her wrong, and it never did any harm to anyone else, either.
When her grandma first moved to Mystic Falls, the entire family had been upset because of the distance it would put between them all. But she’d waved them all off, and said she had to. That one day it would make sense, and they would see why she had to come to this town and help them. It didn’t surprise her as a child, because she’d never doubted her grandma’s desire to help people. That was something that scary stories would never take away, no matter how old she got.
She didn’t make it out much to see her grandmother. A few times here or there, but between college and then life, it got harder to make the trip. It was never worth the cost of a flight, so she always drove, but that took up time she didn’t have these days. It never changed her relationship with her grandma, though, because the woman called nearly every night, and every night, she would say that it was about time she made the trip out there.
Her grandma always said she should come out there and stay for a little while. That it would be good to slow down and take in the scenery, and breathe fresh air. That she might even meet someone she likes, or something. Her grandmother was many things, but subtle was not one of them.
She never did get to go to Mystic Falls as much as she and her grandmother wanted, but she was here now.
It just never occurred to her that it would be because her grandmother was dead.
It’s been a long week. But, today in particular was grueling.
It’s not easy losing a loved one, anyone knows that. But she really hadn’t thought about what it would be like to lose her grandmother, who was not only a hero of a woman to their family, but to a community as a whole.
It didn’t make it any easier that she didn’t realize how loved her grandmother was in the tiny town she’d chosen to live out the rest of her days in. She didn’t realize how close knit Mystic Falls was, and how it would be such an ordeal to plan her grandmother’s funeral to the point she’d be dealing with the Mayor about it.
Mayor Carol Lockwood, as it turns out, is a very tenacious woman. She refused to do anything less than host the wake at her house, and pay for any and all accommodations necessary to put her grandmother to rest.
At first she was scared of imposing, after all, she hardly knew any of these people, and couldn’t fathom wanting to pay for someone’s funeral just because of how well-known they were, but Mayor Lockwood wouldn’t budge on it and she eventually caved.
All of that is what led her to the wake, held at the Lockwood’s mayoral manor. It was a beautiful house, on a nice, large piece of property that was currently filled with what looked, and felt, like the entire town.
Hours had passed since the whole thing started, and she doesn’t think she’s had a single moment to form a coherent thought outside of the compulsory acceptances of all of the condolences and well wishes directed at her. Her grandmother was old– that’s what had done it in the end.
She was old, and she had lived her life to the fullest extent, and she went peacefully. Yet somehow the feeling of every stranger’s apologies and somewhat condescending grief was making it out to be like she’d died in some tragic accident. Like it wasn’t entirely expected at this stage, and probably years ago from some people in their family.
She hasn’t really cried since she found out. Of course, the initial reaction was surprise, and a few tears were shed as she talked to the hospital employee about what all was going to happen next, but other than that she hadn’t really cried. Like she’d said– it wasn’t shocking considering her age, but it’s been such a whirlwind of people since she got to Mystic Falls that she hasn’t really realized that her grandmother was gone.
Between Mayor Lockwood’s almost overbearing welcome wagon, and the sheer amount of people that apparently knew her grandmother well enough to come to her wake, she hasn’t really been thinking about the fact that all of this is not for any other reason besides the fact that her grandma died.
The sudden thought has her inhaling sharply and she clasps her hands together in front of her, pinkies twisting into the black fabric of her dress. She clears her throat softly, offering a polite smile to the few people she’d been half-heartedly conversing with about nothing of importance.
“If you’ll excuse me for a minute,” She says, ducking her head down as they all nod her away, oblivious to the sudden line of tension straightening her shoulders out.
She makes her way through the house she’d grown quickly familiar with over the past week, planning things with Carol, and being invited to the so-called family dinners with just her and her son, who looked like he could care less about everything going on around him.
She makes it to the backside of the wrap-around porch and finds it mercifully empty, and with a quick glance to the large yard that surrounds the property, she finds that most everyone has migrated towards the shimmering pond, or the gazebo, enjoying the fall sun that’s no longer too hot to bear standing beneath, taking it all in before it becomes too cold to enjoy.
She practically throws herself down into one of the rocking chairs staged neatly on the porch with a small table in between the two of them, and drops her face into her hands, letting her tears fall silently.
It’s not overwhelming, necessarily, and there’s no ugly sobbing, but there’s tears. Plenty of them, too. She already knows her eyes will be sore tomorrow, and she’ll most likely have a pounding headache tomorrow from it all. She’s going to have to make a detour into one of the bathrooms before she shows her face again, because she doesn’t think she’s allowed to be so openly grieving at this point. She’s held it together all week, and suddenly, at the very end of it all, she loses it? She’s sure it would get her a few strange stares from the countless people here to send her grandmother off.
She’s spiraling quickly, down that horrible, embarrassing train of thought that is likely just making her cry harder when her privacy is interrupted.
She startles at the sound of a throat being cleared pointedly, but not impolitely, and she wipes at her face messily, trying to stop the flow of tears as she turns to face the source of the disruption.
Her breath stalls in her chest as she tilts her head back, craning her neck to meet the gaze of the man standing above her, hands tucked into the pockets of his suit pants. He’s dressed for the occasion, but as far as she can tell, he’s just another nameless face that’s come to pay respects to her grandma.
“Sorry,” She says, wincing at the hoarse quality of her voice. “I’m sorry.”
The man raises a brow, his blue eyes still peering down at her with a shockingly neutral shine to them. Not leaning too far in indifference, or the collective grief being passed around today.
“What are you apologizing for?”
She bites the end of her tongue, wringing her hands together. “Um– I don't know?” She grimaces at her response, tearing her eyes away from his, feeling entirely too seen.
The man takes the other chair beside her, his hand draped over the armrest, fingers nearly touching the small table between them. “I would’ve thought it was everyone else saying sorry to you today,” He said, an almost hesitant degree of amusement in his voice. “Not the other way around.”
She nods, resolutely embarrassed at the fact that this man has caught her right at her breaking point. “Yeah, uh, they were. But I was just… over it.” She huffs a quiet noise. “Is that horrible of me to say?”
“I can imagine it gets tiring dealing with all of these people,” He says, hand waving lazily at the people gathered all around the mansion. “Strangers telling you how much they’re going to miss someone.”
She sighs, tapping the tips of her fingers together in a mindless rhythm. “They mean well. I’ve always known the person my grandma was, and this– this community meant everything to her. It’s just odd to think that she was something important to everyone here, but I don’t know them at all. It makes it hard to believe that all of this is because she’s gone,” She shrugs slightly, at a loss for words. In her momentary silence she cringes, pinching the bridge of her nose. “I am so sorry for dumping that on you. You're probably one of the people coming to say sorry to me, and I just totally–”
“No, it’s alright,” He is quick to interrupt her, his hand reaching out to rest atop her arm, not squeezing but not at all unnoticeable. “I understand. I’ve never been one to publicly grieve. It’s certainly not easy when you have an entire town watching.”
She huffs out a wry laugh, lifting her gaze from where it had been stuck on his hand now gently caressing her arm, and meets his all-knowing look.
She’s sure she looks like a mess right now, tired and tear-streaked. Her makeup is probably smudged from her tears and her hasty attempt at cleaning herself up without a mirror present, but the longer she looks into his eyes, the farther any concerns about her appearance slip to the back of her mind.
Her small smile lingers on her face, and she fights the urge to let it get bigger. She could be wrong– she doesn’t know this man at all, of course, but the longer she looks at him, the more she begins to think that he’s looking at her like she’s beautiful. Like despite the grief she’s expressing, she’s still something he wants to look at, and he doesn’t even know her name.
And, for the first time since she got that phone call last week, she feels that taut line of tension loosen just enough for her to finally catch her breath.
Biting the inside of her cheek, she brings her other hand up to rest atop his, the move startling him slightly as if he hadn’t realized he was still offering her that bit of comfort. She doesn’t make any verbal note of it, because she doesn’t want to lose it, and he’s done the exact opposite of making her uncomfortable. He’s made her more comfortable in this town, in this house than she has been all week.
“What’s your name?” She asks, eyes wide and imploring as she looks at the beautiful, blue-eyed mystery man.
She’s not sure what he sees in her own eyes, but she hopes it’s as unintentionally endearing as whatever is in his.
“Klaus,” He breathes out, voice practically a whisper. “Klaus Mikaelson.”
Her brows twitch in a slight furrow as she processes his name, and she feels her smile grow larger despite herself. “Klaus,” She echoes softly, immediately liking the way it feels rolling off her tongue. She offers her name in return, and feels his fingers twitch where they rest trapped between her skin, a source of heat that’s making her feel something she can’t quite put her finger on.
“Klaus,” She says again, watching the way he responds to her, feeling her heart race as the blue rings of his eyes expand. “Would you do me the absolute biggest favor, and help me escape from this place?”
He chuckles, and his hand clamps down on her arm, the pads of his fingers pressing into the soft skin there. “Where do you want to go?”
She shrugs, an easygoing smile on her face. “I haven’t decided yet,”
He ducks his head in a dutiful nod, standing up carefully and pulling her with him. “We’ll figure it out on the way, then. After you?”
She intertwines their fingers and pulls them towards the stairs that lead down and away from the house, and spares a glance back at it, shaking her head wistfully. Her grandmother hadn’t been wrong about what this town could offer her, it seems. But then again, there was never any doubt in her mind about that to begin with.

Babysitting Hope Mikaelson
You offer to babysit baby Hope for the night so the Mikaelsons can handle some "Original business." It should be easy, right? Except Hope somehow disappears (spoiler: Kol took her for fun), Rebekah keeps calling to check in, and Klaus is two seconds away from having a nervous breakdown.
It was supposed to be an easy night. Just a few hours with Hope, a couple of bottles, maybe a lullaby or two—simple enough, right? After all, she was just a baby. A magical, possibly apocalypse-inducing baby with the surname Mikaelson, but still, a baby. What could possibly go wrong?
“Are you sure you’re up for this?” Rebekah’s voice crackled through the speakerphone as you bounced Hope gently in your arms. The little hybrid yawned, stretching her tiny fingers toward your necklace.
You gave your best confident smile, even though Rebekah couldn’t see it. “She’s a baby, Rebekah. I’ve babysat before.”
Rebekah made a noncommittal noise, followed by a sharp whisper in the background: “Elijah, I still think this is a bad idea.”
“She’ll be fine,” Elijah’s calm and measured voice replied. “Let’s give her a chance. We’ve been holed up for too long. This is just one night.”
Klaus, however, wasn’t nearly as diplomatic.
“I’m trusting you with the most important person in my life,” he growled, every syllable drenched in possessiveness. “If anything happens to her—”
“Nothing will,” you said quickly, cutting him off before he could spiral further. “Now go do your Original business—or whatever it is you people do in the dark of night.”
With multiple hesitant goodbyes, lingering glares, and one final checklist of emergency contacts (including the witch Davina and some guy named Marcel), the Mikaelson trio vanished into the night, leaving you and Hope alone in the compound.

The first hour was... blissful. Hope giggled at your ridiculous faces. She ate her formula like a champ. She even fell asleep against your chest, her little fingers curled tightly around the edge of your shirt. You nestled onto the couch, one arm around her, a half-finished book in your lap. You were starting to feel like maybe you could handle being part of this insane supernatural circus.
That is, until you woke up from a ten-minute power nap and realized she was gone.
“Hope?” you called out, trying not to sound panicked. The baby blanket lay crumpled on the couch, still warm. Your blood turned to ice.
You scrambled to your feet, checking every hallway, corner, and shadow of the compound. Behind curtains. Inside the kitchen cabinets (because supernatural babies, right?). No sign of her. Then your phone rang.
“Everything alright?” Rebekah chirped. Too chipper. Too calm. Suspiciously so.
You froze. “Yup! All good. Hope’s just… sleeping soundly.”
“Send me a photo.”
“Right now?”
“Yes. Klaus is pacing like a madman. I think he’s about five seconds from kicking down someone’s door.”
Panic gripped you like a vice. “Camera’s broken. Weird witch glitch.”
“You have ten minutes to send proof of life,” she said sweetly. “Or I’m turning this car around.” Then she hung up.
You were so screwed. That’s when you heard it. Laughter. Deep, amused, and distinctly Kol Mikaelson. You bolted up the stairs, following the sound to the rooftop terrace. There he was, lounging in one of the deck chairs like he owned the place, Hope in his arms like an accessory.
“She missed me,” Kol said, flashing that maddening grin.
“She was asleep,” you hissed.
“Oh, lighten up. She’s perfectly safe,” he said, bouncing her on his knee. “Besides, I was bored. Elijah’s meetings are the fastest way to die of supernatural-induced boredom.”
You snatched Hope back just in time to snap a photo of her sleepy face, texting it to Rebekah with trembling hands. Kol leaned over your shoulder, squinting.
“You could’ve just asked me to babysit, darling.”
“You kidnapped a baby, Kol.”
He gasped, hand to his chest. “That’s such an ugly word. I prefer... surprise bonding session.”
Klaus Arrives
You opened your mouth to argue—but the front doors downstairs burst open with a thunderous crash.
“WHERE IS SHE?!” Klaus roared, storming in like a hurricane of fury.
Hope cooed in your arms, utterly unbothered. She waved a tiny fist at her father, as if amused by all the chaos.
Kol raised his hands lazily. “Relax, brother. She’s been with me the whole time. Safe and happy.”
Klaus’s jaw clenched. “You are never allowed near her again. I mean it this time, Kol.”
Kol tilted his head. “So dramatic. I didn’t even get her to say ‘Uncle Kol.’ You wound me.”
Rebekah appeared behind Klaus, arms crossed and lips twitching with barely contained amusement. “I told you something would happen.”
Elijah sighed, calmly removing his coat like he hadn’t just heard his brother scream like a banshee. “Well, at least no blood was shed tonight. That’s an improvement.”
You gently handed Hope back to Klaus, who took her as though she might shatter in his hands. His eyes softened at the sight of her sleepy little smile. For a brief moment, the rage in him melted into something almost tender.
“She’s fine,” you murmured. “A little confused. Possibly emotionally scarred. But fine.”
He looked at you for a long moment, then gave a small nod. “Thank you.”
Then, more quietly: “Next time, perhaps, we’ll bring Hope and Kol with us. At least then I’ll know exactly which disaster to expect.”
Kol grinned wider. “I’m touched, really. Shall I start clearing my schedule for future outings?”
Rebekah rolled her eyes. “Next time, I’m babysitting. Alone.”
You didn’t argue. In fact, you were already Googling vacation spots far, far away from New Orleans—preferably somewhere Kol-proof.

Cursed
Imagine: Imagina que tu e o Kol foram enfeitiçados por uma bruxa. Após sucumbirem à tentação, sentimentos desconhecidos vêm ao de cima.
Avisos: Nudez, Sexo.
The vampire diaries/The Originals Masterlist
A primeira a realmente a avistá-la fui eu e logo chamei-o à atenção mantendo a perseguição.
- Kol!
Entendido? - Eu não consegui responder apenas gemendo e assentindo. - Eu não ouvi nada! - Ele rosnou.
- Eu amo-te (T/N)!- O Kol falou de repente fazendo-me sorrir.
- Eu também te amo Kol.- E assim adormecemos nos braços um do outro havendo ultrapassado o hex lançado sobre nós.

We're Good
Kol Mikaelson x Reader
Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for my personal fic writing challenge for 2024, Sophie's Year of Fic! Featuring a new fic being posted every Friday, all year long :)
Fandom: TVD/TO
Summary: Kol meets Davina and finally seems serious about someone, so his best friend convinces herself to finally let go of her secret crush. But when Kol gets jealous of her paying attention to another guy, what once seemed settled might not actually be finished.
Word Count: 3,092
Category: Angst, Fluff
A/N: Title is lightly inspired by the Dua Lipa song, although the fic doesn't totally fit it.
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
I tried not to scowl as I watched Kol from the second level of the Mikaelson compound. He was down on the dancefloor, in the middle of the latest party he and his family had decided to throw. I knew Nik or Elijah had some ulterior motive for hosting, but I hadn't cared because this time, I'd had my own ulterior motive. I'd put on my absolute best outfit and made sure I looked like a knockout, all so I could finally tell Kol Mikaelson, my longtime friend and crush, how I really felt about him.
And now, before I could, he was standing at the edge of the dancefloor trying to make a move on Davina Claire.
I should've known. Kol and I had been friends for a long time, and despite pretty regular flirty moments between us, he'd never taken any steps to make us something more serious. Instead, he flirted with, hooked up with, and even dated whatever mortal he'd most recently fallen for while I stood by pretending not to get my heart broken.
This time, I was done with it. For good.
I set my jaw and squinted, refusing to let the tears fall as I turned from the balcony. I almost made it into a hallway off the Mikaelson compound where I could disappear from everything, but of course, I couldn't quite get that lucky.
"He's a bloody idiot, you know."
Rebekah Mikaelson, my best friend in the world, stood before me with her hands on her hips, blocking my exit.
"Rebekah-"
"I'd love to have you for a sister-in-law, but you deserve better than one of my idiot brothers. As a boyfriend and as a friend."
"Bex, I don't want to hear it right now."
The sympathy on her face almost killed me, but she stepped aside. I thought that would be it, but then she called out to me just before I could turn the corner and escape this whole mess.
"Mourn all you like tonight, but tomorrow we're going out! There are plenty of men in this city to help you forget all about Kol!"
****************
Rebekah gave me exactly one day before she started hounding me about going out on the town to forget her "idiot brother". And honestly, I might've ignored her, except for the fact that Kol spent the entire day after the ball with Davina.
I'd always known he was a flirt, but this time, he actually seemed to mean it. So I gave him more space than usual, for my sake as much as his, and spent more time wih Rebekah. We baked and went on walks, and after a while, I stopped shooting her down when she tried to drag me to bars. Kol kept hanging out with Davina, but slowly, seeing them together was starting to hurt a little less. I always thought if he found a girl to get serious about, it would be me. And a tiny little part of my heart still tore to shreds when I saw how wrong I'd been. But unlike those first few days, the heartbreak wasn't eating me alive anymore.
Which is how I ended up out at a bar with the entire Mikaelson family, dancing my heart out on the dancefloor without a second thought for whether Kol would join me.
We'd first started a montly tradition of the firve of us going out and just having fun a few years ago, and despite various dramas and the siblings scattering to the winds, we'd more or less managed to keep it up. We always picked a place a few hours from where any of us were living and planned to stay the night, so we could well and truly forget everything but having a good time together. Normally, I spent the night orbiting Kol, to the point that Nik usually had a field day giving me shit about it. Tonight had been a little different.
I'd joined Nik in dragging Elijah out of the house, gone with Rebekah to order all of us some truly strange, fun cocktails, and danced the night away on the dancefloor with all of them, without my mind or gaze constantly circling back to Kol. He didn't seem to even notice the shift, and I was surprised to find that it didn't really bother me. Kol was a good friend, after all, and with a little more time to process, maybe we'd even be better off.
"Hey!" Rebekah shouted into my ear, still barley making herself heard over the music around us. We'd been here for hours, but none of us showed any signs of slowing down just yet. "That guy at the bar has been staring at you all night!"
I turned to follow her gaze and found a handsome guy looking back. He smiled, a little sheepish, and I returned the gesture before whipping around to Rebekah.
"Why are you so fixated on setting me up with somebody?"
"Because it's fun! And I haven't got to do it once in all the time I've known you because you've been so hung up on Kol. So come on, let me have my fun!"
I made a face. I wasn't sure I wanted to take a chance on the random person Rebekah had found, regardless of me finally being over Kol. She huffed, then leaned in to speak in my ear again.
"Just trust me! I compelled him and asked him some questions, and he seems like someone you'd get along quite well with!"
I closed my eyes. "You compelled him, Rebekah? Seriously?"
"Well how else was I supposed to make sure he wasn't some sleezy werewolf or something? Go on, just talk to him!"
"Fine! Fine, but it's still our Mikaelson Family Fun Day, so I'm just going to talk."
"That's fine with me! Although I promise not to judge you if you don't come back to the room tonight-"
I picked up the nearest thing I could find (a stack of napkins) and hucked it at her, which she easily dodged. I did my best to ignore her laughing behind me as I headed for the bar.
The guy smiled as I approached him, and I smiled back. I headed for an open spot standing next to him at the bar, and he started speaking as soon as I came within hearing range.
"Hey! I've been hoping you'd come over and say hi all night."
I smiled. "Why didn't you come over and say hi yourself?"
"Didn't want to interrupt you and your friends if you didn't want to be bothered," he said with a shrug. "Although, that girl Rebekah tried awfully hard to get me to come over once or twice."
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, Rebekah loves nothing more than meddling, especially in my life." I paused. "I'm glad she convinced me to come over and talk to you though."
"So am I! I-"
He broke off at the same time as I felt someone slide up to the bar behind me, chest almost pressed into my back. I started to turn around to tell whoever it was to back off, but a familiar voice spoke up before I could.
"Why don't you go find someone else to bother, mate?" said Kol, his tone laced with the slightest undercurrent of a threat. Apparently, he'd decided to make sure he got what he wanted, because a moment later the guy whose name I hadn't even been able to get yet turned on his heel and walked away.
I rounded on Kol with a furious scowl, but he just grinned back at me, still very close and in my personal space. Normally, the proximity would've left me with butterflies, but right now all I felt was anger growing in the pit of my stomach.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I asked, an edge to my voice that I'd really never directed at Kol before. His eyebrows shot up, but otherwise, he didn't seem bothered.
"I was getting rid of that creep who was bothering you. Come on, darling, I thought you'd be thanking me-"
"Thanking you? Kol, he clearly wasn't bothering me! I came up to him, for God's sake!"
"Well I'm sorry, it just looked like you might want me to step in-"
"How? How did it look like that, Kol?"
My voice was getting louder now, enough that a few people were starting to take notice, but I didn't care. I was furious at my so-called friend and he was going to hear about it.
Kol cleared his throat. "Love, maybe we should take this somewhere else-"
"Knock it off with the pet names! Kol seriously, what the fu-"
In a split second, the bar disappeared around me. Instead, I found myself thrown over Kol's shoulder as he vampire-sped out of the bar. When we finally stopped, it was just inside the front door of the house we'd all rented, with Kol's back to me as he closed the front door.
I took my opening and hurled the nearest pillow at his head. It hit its target dead on, and I got halfway through picking up another one when Kol used his vamp speed to close the distance between us and grab my wrist.
"Hey! Knock it off, alright? What's the matter?"
"What's the matter? Are you kidding me Kol?" I wasn't sure whether I wanted to laugh, cry, scream, or all three, but I focused on the screaming part as I faced a bewildered Kol. "You absolute hypocrite, how dare you pull me out of that bar, and how dare youstep into my conversation like that!"
"What? Is this seriously all about me scaring off that one guy? You hardley knew him!"
"Obviously it's not completely about him, although that move still sucked, Kol! It's about you thinking you have some right to barge into my life and scare off a guy who might be interested in me! Because that's what it was, right? There's no way you thought I wanted him gone, so you did all this because you wanted him gone, right?"
"...I- I guess I didn't really like seeing him with you, but-"
"But nothing! Kol, we've had just a kind of flirty friendship forever. And whenever it seemed like we might be heading into something else, you were always the one to bail out. And last month, when you found Davina and got serious about someone else, it ripped my heart out. But I forced myself to take some time and get over it! Because that's your choice, and I care about you regardless of if you want to date me. But Kol, you have been clearly, specifically going after Davina lately. Which means you have absolutely no right to come tell some guy at the bar to back off when he's flirting with me."
"Darling, come on-"
I held up a hand to cut Kol off. The storm of emotions had finally started calming, hardening into something more manageable. I'd let myself struggle in this relationship without ever having an up front conversation for far too long. We were going to set some boundaries and have it all out, whether or not Kol wanted to. I was done with the rollercoaster ride.
"Kol, I know you call a lot of people 'darling', but if you want to stay friends with me then I'm going to need you to stop calling me that."
Kol just stared at me for a few moments, blinking and apparently processing everything I'd just said. His eyebrows knit together and he looked seriously distressed, but I refused to back down. After a moment, he took a half step towards me, his hand reaching out slightly towards my own.
"...And what if I don't think I want to be friends anymore, darling?"
I scoffed, another overwhelming wave of anger rising up and over me. I shook my head and turned around, walking a few steps away and hoping the space would help me cool down.
"You better not be flirting with me right now, Mikaelson, after everything I just said and everything you've been up to with Davina lately."
"Davina and I aren't together, love. We went on a few dates after Nik's little party, but we've hardly seen each other since then, and I don't intend to keep anything going. You might have noticed, but you started avoiding me after the ball and I had no idea why."
I turned to face Kol at last, scanning his face for any hint of something that might help me make up my mind on how to feel about all this. The corner of his mouth quirked up in a smile, and I scowled.
"I wish you'd said something earlier about this little crush of yours, honestly. I didn't think I had a shot in hell with you. It would've saved us both some time."
I shook my head, slowly at first and then much much faster. Before I completely realized what I was doing, I crossed the room and smacked Kol in the chest. He was one of the oldest vamipres to ever live, so it didn't have much of an impact on him, but it definitely made me feel better.
"Kol Mikaelson, you jackass! You do not get to use this as an excuse to confess feelings for me!"
He laughed, holding up his hands and clearly fighting a beaming smile. I slowly tapered off my assault, instead opting for crossing my arms and absolutely fuming at him.
"Seriously, Kol, this isn't funny. I show interest in someone else for the first time in our friendship, and all of a sudden you're dropping everything to come and confess feelings for me? You get why I don't feel like that's completely sincere, right?"
Kol sighed, the smile finally falling off his face. He moved to close the distance between us again, and this time, I let him.
"I'm sorry. I'm not joking because it's a joke to me, I promise. I've had feelings for you as long as I've known you, darling, but I didn't think I had a chance with you. And you've been important to everyone in our family for just about as long as we've known you. If I made things complicated, or made you want to stop spending time with all of us, my siblings would've literally killed me."
I snorted, looking down so Kol wouldn't see me fighting a smile off my face. No matter what, Kol always seemed able to make me smile when I least wanted to. Normally, it was one of my favorite things about him.
"What can I do, hm? What can I do to prove I mean what I'm saying?"
I sighed, crossing my arms and at last looking up at Kol. With wide eyes and no hint of the sardonic smile I knew so well, he looked more serious than I'd ever seen him before.
"...If you're really sure about this, Kol, that you really mean this...?"
"I do. Darling, I swear I do. I promise you, I won't waste the chance if you give me one."
"Okay, then prove it. I've never seen you go more than a week without flirting with some human, witch, vampire, werewolf, or whatever other sentient beings we come across. Make it a month, and maybe I'll believe what you said about being serious about this."
"...And will we be dating for that month?"
Slowly, I shook my head. "No. I want to, Kol, and I want that to be where this goes, but... I need to see that this is real first. I want to believe it is, so badly, but after centuries of meaningless flirting and dancing around each other without a conversation, of seeing you have flings every chance you get and watching each one of those burn out... I can't just take it on faith."
Kol sighed, glancing down at the ground before meeting my eyes again. He didn't say anything, just closed the little remaining distance between us as he brought his arms up to circle my waist. He pulled me to him, leaning down with a glance at my lips, and I didn't stop him as he pulled me into a kiss.
Fireworks exploded in my chest. My knees went a little week as I leaned further into Kol, resting my hands on his shoulders. After a few long moments, just as my common sense started returning to tell me what a mistake this was, Kol pulled back with a grin.
"Sorry, darling. But I couldn't wait a month to do that."
I snorted and shook my head, stepping carefully out of Kol's grip. He watched my every move with a smile, and my heart did a backflip when he licked his lips. I told my heart to calm the hell down.
"I... certainly didn't mind the potential preview," I admitted.
Kol laughed, running a hand through his hair as he looked at me.
"This is going be the longest month of my life... but if that's what it'll take, I'll make it through. I know it'll be worth it, especially now."
I rolled my eyes, but this time, I couldn't quite keep a smile off my face. Finally, my heart started returning to a normal pace, and I managed to meet Kol's eyes again without having a cardiac event.
"Alrlight, so... what do we do now? I don't know about you, but I don't particularly want to go back to the bar."
"Is that a joke, darling?" He raised an eyebrow at me, but I just shook my head. His mouth dropped open like he couldn't believe I was serious. "I may not get to do the activity I most want to do right now for another month, but I did just get my best friend back after extensive radio silence. We have so many episodes of our favorite shows to catch up on!"
"...You didn't watch them without me?"
"Of course not! Did you watch them without me?"
"Of course not!"
"Well then, there you have it! That's our evening. You make the popcorn, I'll turn on the tv."
I laughed as Kol turned on his heel, getting immediately to work. I still wanted to wait the month I'd made him promise; I still wasn't confident his romantic affections wouldn't wander. But despite all that, a massive weight lifted off my chest as I headed into the kitchen for snacks. I had my best friend back, and finally, after a ridiculous amount of waiting and dancing around each other and poor communication, we were actually getting a shot at our happy ending.

Fragments of Trust and Moonlit Desires | Kol Mikaelson

{Oneshot} Pairing: Kol Mikaelson x salvatore!Reader Summary: You got into a heated argument with your two older brothers. The confrontation swirled up unwanted emotions causing you to feel used and unloved. You fled from home for alone time. Kol was there to comfort you through the pain. Word Count: 2k Warnings: Mental breakdown(?)
The tension in the Salvatore mansion was palpable, as it crackled like static in the air. There you stood in the center of the living room, that once radiated warmth. However, as of lately the feeling is just a distant memory. Your heart was pounding in your chest, a lump stuck in the back of your throat as you faced your two brothers. The room has become a battlefield of emotions.
Damon’s voice was sharp, his frustration evident. “You don’t understand the dangers, and you keep acting like you’re invincible. We’re trying to protect you!"
“Protect me?” You laughed bitterly, a tear slipping down your cheek.
"You’ve been treating me like a pawn in your game! You use me whenever it’s convenient for you, but…" your voice quiets down as you continue. "But when I need something, need the support and comfort from my brothers. You’re nowhere to be found.” As a stream of tears runs down your face non-stop.
Stefan's face softened, his gaze filled with guilt. “That’s not true. We care about you, more than you know.”
Damon’s expression shifted, frustration mixing with a hint of remorse. "It’s not always easy, and it’s not always perfect, but what Stefan said is true. We do care.”
"Care? Your way of caring is remarkable. Is caring treating me like a pawn in your game?! Or the way you're using me as a shield for your own agendas!” You angrily picked up the nearest Bourbon bottle.
“It's always where's Elena?!” Smash “Elena this!” Smash “Elena that!” Your emotions were going under as you smashed every whisky bottle near. Towards the wall. The firepit. The door.
“I get it… She's special, but what am I? Aren't I your sister? I thought family came first..." You choked out a sob.
The weight of their words, their conflicting emotions, and your own pain became too much to bear. You felt your knees give way as the emotional dam finally broke. The room spun, and you sank to the floor, sobs escaping your lips despite your best efforts to remain composed. Your head pounding in sync with your heart, as the pain radiated throughout.
Damon's hard exterior cracked, and he knelt beside you, his own eyes glistening with unshed tears. “Hey, hey, don’t. Please, don’t cry. We… we never meant to hurt you.
Stefan knelt on your other side, his hand reaching out to comfort you. “We’re sorry. We’re so sorry. You’re not a pawn, and you’re definitely not just a tool for us. You’re… you’re everything to us.”
Your sobs shook your body as you struggled to find your voice through the tears. “I just… I don’t know what to believe anymore. I thought I could trust you, but now… now I feel like I’m just a burden.”
Damon pulled you into a tight embrace, his voice rough with emotion. “You’re not a burden. You’re our sister, our family. We should have been better brothers. We should have done more to show you that.”
“I just need… I need to be alone.”
Without waiting for a response, you turned and fled from the mansion, the cold night air hitting your face like a splash of ice. The emotional weight was almost unbearable, but you kept moving, desperate to escape the suffocating confines of the mansion and the heavy expectations that came with it.
You wandered aimlessly through the quiet streets of Mystic Falls, not really knowing where you were going. The familiar surroundings did little to soothe you as the pain and frustration continued to spiral.
You ended up in front of the dimly lit, familiar atmosphere of Mystic Grill.
The bell above the door jingled softly as you entered the bar, the warm glow of the lights inside providing a brief respite from the chilly night. The bartender glanced up, offering a nod of recognition. You slid onto a stool, trying to ignore the lump in your throat and the tears that still threatened to spill.
“Something strong?” the bartender asked, sensing your mood.
You managed a nod, your voice barely above a whisper. “Yeah, something strong.”
As you waited, you took a deep breath, trying to calm the turbulent emotions swirling within you. You barely noticed when the bar’s door swung open again, and a figure entered, slipping into the booth across from you. It wasn’t until you heard the soft, but unmistakable, accent that you looked up.
Kol Mikaelson, the notorious and charming Original Vampire, sat with a casual grace that seemed almost out of place in the somber setting. His dark eyes assessed you with a mix of curiosity and concern.
“Fancy meeting you here darling,” Kol said with a sly grin.
“Now's not the time Kol.” You looked away, not wanting to meet his gaze.
Kol’s smile faded, replaced by a more serious expression. “Rough night?”
You didn’t trust yourself to speak any further, so you just nodded. Kol’s presence was a strange comfort, but it also made you more aware of how much you were struggling.
The bartender returned with your drink, and you took it gratefully, the strong liquor burning a path down your throat. Kol watched you with a mixture of amusement and concern, his fingers tapping lightly on the table.
He studied you for a moment before speaking again. “You don’t have to talk about it if you don’t want to. But I’m here if you need to.”
The sincerity in his voice made something inside you break, and before you could stop yourself, the tears you had been holding back began to fall. You tried to wipe them away, but they came faster, unrelenting. Kol’s expression softened, as he reached out his hand gently covering yours.
You looked at his hand on yours, the unexpected gesture of comfort stirring something deep within you. Kol’s presence, so different from your own brothers’, offered a reprieve from the emotional turmoil that had been suffocating you.
“I know I’m not exactly the most trustworthy person,” he said quietly. “But if you need someone to listen, I’m here. And if you need something more… well, I’ve always been good at making things more bearable.”
The floodgates opened, and you let out a sob, the tears streaming down your face as you tried to choke out the words. “They… they don’t really see me. They see what they want to see, and I’m just… a part of their plans. I thought I meant more to them, but now I’m not sure.”
Kol felt pain in his own heart seeing you in this distress state. He had the urge to hold you close. So he shifted seats to be closer. You were too busy spiraling, you didn’t notice his body close.
Kol leaned closer, his voice low and reassuring. “Running away might give you a moment’s peace, but it’s important to remember that you don’t have to face this alone. It’s okay to feel lost, but you have people who care about you. Even if they don’t always show it in the right way.”
His words resonated with you, and you found yourself leaning into his side, the warmth of his body offering a small comfort amidst your pain. Kol’s arm went around you, pulling you into a gentle embrace. You didn’t resist, the support and compassion he offered breaking through your walls.
“If you ever need a distraction or just someone to talk to, you know where to find me.”
You offered him a small, grateful smile, feeling a hint of relief. “Thank you, Kol. I think I might just take you up on that.”
─ ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──── ♡ ─── ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ ──
Weeks had passed since that night at Mystic Grill. The pain from the argument with the Salvatore brothers had not entirely faded, but the wounds had begun to heal. In their place, a new, unexpected emotion had taken root—one that you hadn’t anticipated, a growing affection for Kol Mikaelson.
Kol had become a constant presence in your life, his casual charm and easy smile providing a welcome distraction from the turmoil you’d been through. The two of you spent more time together, meeting at Mystic Grill for drinks, sharing stories about your lives, and occasionally enjoying quiet walks around the town. With every encounter, you found yourself drawn closer to him, the lines between friendship and something more becoming increasingly blurred. A line you wanted to cross, but feared you were looking at it wrong.
One evening, you found yourself standing beneath the canopy of a starlit sky, the cool breeze of night wrapping around you as you waited outside the Grill for Kol. You had decided to take a chance and be honest with yourself about your feelings, and you hoped tonight would be the night you took the next step.
Kol arrived with his usual effortless grace, his eyes lighting up when he saw you. “Good evening, love,” he greeted, his voice warm and inviting.
“Hi, Kol,” you replied, your heart fluttering at the endearing nickname.
He extended his arm, and you slipped yours through it as the two of you began to stroll down the quiet streets. The night felt magical, the moon casting a soft glow over the town. You walked in comfortable silence for a while, the serenity of the moment making it easier to gather your thoughts.
As you reached the edge of the old bridge that overlooked the river, Kol stopped and turned to face you. His eyes, usually filled with mischief, were serious and focused. “You’ve been quiet tonight. Is something on your mind?”
You hesitated, then took a deep breath. “There’s something I need to tell you. I’ve been thinking a lot lately…”
Kol’s expression softened, his hand gently brushing a strand of hair from your face. “You can tell me anything.”
You looked into his eyes, searching for the right words. “When we first met, I never expected this. I never thought I’d find someone who could make me feel… so understood, so cared for. I was so wrapped up in my own pain that I didn’t see what was right in front of me.”
Kol’s gaze was unwavering, and you could see the sincerity in his eyes. “And what’s right in front of you, love?”
You took another breath, the weight of your feelings pressing on your chest. “What’s right in front of me is you. I’ve come to care about you more deeply than I ever thought possible. I think I’m falling for you, Kol Mikaelson.”
For a moment, Kol was silent, his eyes searching yours. Then, a smile broke across his face—one that was tender and full of warmth. “I’ve been waiting for you to say that.”
Your heart skipped a beat. “You have?”
Kol nodded, stepping closer. “Yes. I’ve felt the same way for a while now. I didn’t want to rush you, but I couldn’t ignore how much you mean to me.”
A mix of relief and joy surged through you. Kol’s confession felt like a balm to your soul, soothing the last remnants of your heartache. Without thinking, you reached up, pulling him into a kiss that was both gentle and passionate—a perfect culmination of the emotions that had been building between you.
Kol responded with equal fervor, his arms wrapping around you as he deepened the kiss. When you finally pulled away, both of you were breathless, the connection between you palpable.
“Does this mean…?” you began, your voice soft.
Kol’s eyes sparkled with affection. “It means that I’m yours, if you’ll have me. I want to be with you, in every way.”
You smiled through your tears, feeling a joy that had been elusive for so long. “I’d like that very much.”
Kol’s smile matched yours as he kissed you again, this time more tenderly. “Then it’s settled.”
The night air seemed to shimmer with promise as the two of you stood together, the world around you fading into the background. Beneath the moonlight, you felt a sense of peace and belonging that had been missing from your life. With Kol by your side, you were ready to face whatever came next, knowing that love had found you in the most unexpected of places.
And as you walked hand in hand along the bridge, the future seemed full of endless possibilities.

Not Him *Part 2*
Kol Mikaelson X Fem!Reader
Word Count: 1106
Requested: Anon
Request: Can you make a part 2 of not him? It was kol trying to set up reader with elijah but she likes kol and she blurts it out. I didn't notice I didn't ask for another part to the story. I'd like to see what happens and how reader or kol acts around everyone.
*Part 1*
You closed your door, you spoke to no one apart from telling them that you were sick and didn’t leave the house but that didn’t get you very long. Within 24 hours Rebekah was knocking on your door to talk to you.
You groaned at the knocking at the door before dragging yourself over to it “Someone better be dying.” You muttered. “No one is dying, except for you it seems.” Rebekah said as she looked you up and down, you glared at her before finding your place on the sofa. “Alright what happened?” “I’m human, I got sick.” You answered. “Do you want to try making that believable?” She asked. “I need you to leave if you're just going to tease me.” You said as you looked away from her, she frowned when she realised that there was something very wrong. Rebekah walked over sitting next to you on the sofa. “What happened?” She asked, you looked at her for a second before sighing there was no point in hiding it, you were sure that Kol was probably laughing about it with Klaus by now anyway. You told everything that had happened with Kol and by the end of it you actually felt better. “This is why men should not matchmake.” Rebekah finally said and you looked at her and frowned. “What are you talking about?” You asked. “Elijah liked you for a time, but things change, he started to get to know you and realised that you’d probably be better as friends, plus he has a thing for Hayley.” Rebekah said and you looked at her eyes wide, you don’t know if that hurt more. You were happy that you weren’t hurting Elijah with the fact that you didn’t like him but now it seemed that you weren’t good enough for anyone and that made you pull your knees up to your chest. “So I’m just not good enough for anyone.” You finally voiced the thought and Rebekah rolled her eyes. “No.” Rebekah rolled her eyes. “You are too good for anyone that you’d find here, if you give them the time of day they would be lucky.” “You’re a good friend Rebekah.” You smiled. “I know, now let's get you cleaned up, you can’t stay in here forever, there’s a party back at the compound. It's the perfect place to get back out there.” Rebekah smiled.
When Rebekah said party, she meant party, wolves, vampires and humans all having a great time dancing, drinking and doing whatever else they wanted. You had been there for less than a minute before Elijah walked over to talk to you but knowing that he was pursuing Hayley meant that you didn’t feel weird talking to him “(Y/N) I’m glad that you are feeling better.” He smiled and you nodded. “Yeah sometimes it sucks being human, but it was only a little stomach ache. I'm all good now.” You waved him off. “Should you be drinking after a stomach ache?” He asked. “It wasn’t that kind of stomach ache.” You said offhandedly implying period cramps but not sticking around long enough to see if he got it.
Kol watched from where he was sitting with Klaus and Rebekah, he glared at you as you danced with someone that you met at the party “doesn’t she know half the people here could kill her?” Kol asked. “We wouldn’t let them kill her.” Klaus reminded him and he grumbled. “What is your problem little brother?” “Nothing.” He answered. “Don’t do that.” Rebekah warned him “she could have been dancing with you if you weren’t such an idiot.” “Is there something that I don’t know?” Klaus asked. “Are you aware that our brother is an idiot?” Rebekah asked. “I’ve been aware of that for a while.” Klaus answered. “Then there is nothing that you don’t know.” She answered “look Kol if you go talk to her there might be time to change something, the longer you leave it, the harder it’ll be to fix it.” “Yeah, yeah.” Kol muttered “there’s no point if Elijah wants her.” “Yeah Elijah really looks like he wants her.” Klaus smirked as he pointed across the bar to Elijah talking to Hayley, both of them closer than friends should be and then he looked back at you still dancing with a stranger.
You came over to the bar getting your second drink and it was then that you saw the one person that you were trying to avoid. “(Y/N) I didn’t think that you would be here.” Kol smiled as he leaned back on the bar to catch your eye. “Angry that I’m not at home moping over you?” You asked, narrowing your eyes at him and he rolled his eyes. “Do I look that petty?” He asked. “Yes.” You answered as you took the drink the bartender handed over to you. “I thought you knew me.” He sighed as he leaned over “I’m happy that you're back out here but are you sure that you're okay?” “Kol do me a favour…” You said and he nodded waiting for you to continue. “Leave me alone, I’m not going to let you string me along, you don’t want me, that's fine let’s just move on.” “Who said that I don’t want you?” He asked caging you against the bar, you looked up at him and frowned, shaking your head. “No, you don’t get to do that, you walked away from me, so unless you here to apologise, you won’t be getting closer than this.” You finally said but Kol leaned closer. “Darling, I am sorry for walking away from you, I was confused and worried, usually I don’t care but recently I’ve been trying to reconnect with my family. The last thing that I wanted to do was steal the girl my brother was in love with.” He explained “but I think we can both safely say that Elijah isn’t interested.” He took your chin moving your gaze to Elijah whose lips were locked with Hayley before pulling your gaze back to him. “So now I’m left to grovel for the pain I’ve caused and hope that you are willing to give me another chance.” “Another chance?” You asked. “Another chance.” He confirmed pressing a kiss to your forehead. “What do you think?” “I think… You get one more chance.” You answered and then you lose me for good” You answered, the smile that stretched across his face made you giggle as he leaned down and pressed another kiss to your cheek. “What do you say you want to dance with me?” He asked.

A Place by Her Side
Requested by anon: Can I get a Rebekah x Reader oneshot where Klaus & Kol always flirt with the reader but secretly she is dating Rebekah. Elijah is the only other one in the family who knows. Finally Rebekah can’t take it anymore and kisses the reader in front of the boys. Thank youuuu if you do this!
Words: 2091
It was a rare sunny day in Mystic Falls, the Salvatore boarding house bustling with activity. The Mikaelson siblings had taken over the expansive living room for one of their infamous planning sessions. You sat comfortably in an armchair, observing the chaos that seemed to follow the Originals wherever they went.
Kol was sprawled across the couch, his flirtatious smile directed entirely at you. “Y/N, darling, you must tell me, how is it possible that you look radiant even in this dreary little town?”
Klaus, not one to be outdone, leaned against the mantelpiece, his dimples on full display. “Kol, don’t embarrass yourself. Y/N would much rather hear how the art in Paris pales in comparison to their beauty.”
You rolled your eyes playfully, biting back a laugh. Their incessant flirting had become a routine, a game you tolerated with amused indulgence. What they didn’t know was that your heart already belonged to someone far more captivating.
Rebekah sat across the room, perched elegantly on the armrest of a sofa, her icy blue eyes flicking to you with barely concealed irritation every time one of her brothers tried to charm you. To anyone else, she looked aloof, disinterested even. But you knew better. You knew the way her fingers twitched, itching to reach out to you. You recognized the slight tightening of her jaw, a telltale sign of her jealousy.
Only Elijah, ever the observant older brother, was privy to your secret. He’d caught you and Rebekah in a quiet moment weeks ago, her hand resting on your cheek as she whispered something soft and sweet. To your surprise, he’d simply nodded and offered a rare smile, his silent blessing an unspoken promise to keep your secret.
“Y/N, don’t let these fools monopolize your attention,” Kol purred, interrupting your thoughts. “Tell me, what does a handsome devil like myself need to do to win your favor?”
You raised an eyebrow. “Maybe start with humility.”
Rebekah snorted, quickly disguising it as a cough. Klaus’s smirk widened as he exchanged a glance with Kol, the two of them clearly enjoying their back-and-forth attempts to fluster you.
But Rebekah had had enough.
“Oh, for heaven’s sake,” she snapped, rising from her perch. Her brothers turned to her, eyebrows raised in surprise. Before anyone could react, she crossed the room in a few determined strides, grabbed your hand, and pulled you to your feet. “If you two are done embarrassing yourselves, I’ll be taking Y/N now.”
You barely had time to register her words before her lips were on yours. The world seemed to stop, the warmth of her kiss drowning out everything else. Her hands cupped your face, holding you as if you were the most precious thing in the world.
When she finally pulled back, the room was deathly silent. You could feel the weight of everyone’s stares, but you only had eyes for Rebekah, her expression a mix of defiance and tenderness.
“Well, that was unexpected,” Elijah remarked, his tone as dry as ever but his eyes glinting with amusement.
Kol’s jaw dropped, and he pointed between the two of you. “Wait, you… and Rebekah?”
Klaus looked equally stunned, though his shock quickly gave way to laughter. “Now, this is a twist I didn’t see coming.”
Rebekah rolled her eyes, her hands still firmly on your waist. “Yes, Kol, Y/N is with me. And before either of you says another word, remember that I’ve had centuries to perfect the art of making your lives miserable.”
Kol held up his hands in mock surrender, though his grin was unmistakable. “Point taken, sister.”
Klaus’s laughter subsided, and he regarded you with a newfound respect. “Well, Y/N, I suppose that makes you family. Welcome to the madness.”
Rebekah tightened her grip on you, her voice softening as she looked into your eyes. “You’re worth every bit of it.”
The rest of the day passed in a blur of teasing remarks and playful banter, but one thing was clear: your relationship with Rebekah was no longer a secret. And as you sat by her side, her hand intertwined with yours, you couldn’t help but feel that this was exactly where you were meant to be.
The next morning, you woke to the sunlight streaming through the curtains of Rebekah’s room. She was still asleep beside you, her arm draped possessively across your waist. For a moment, you just watched her, marveling at how serene she looked. It was rare to see her so unguarded, and you couldn’t help but feel a pang of gratitude that she trusted you enough to let down her walls.
A knock at the door broke the peaceful silence. You glanced over, hesitating for a moment before slipping out of bed to answer it. Elijah stood on the other side, impeccably dressed as always, a knowing smile on his lips.
“Good morning, Y/N,” he greeted quietly. “I hope I’m not disturbing you.”
You shook your head, stepping out into the hallway to avoid waking Rebekah. “Not at all. Is everything okay?”
Elijah’s expression softened. “I merely wanted to ensure that you’re prepared for what comes next. Klaus and Kol may tease, but their protective instincts run deep. You’ve become important to Rebekah, which means you’re important to this family. That… comes with certain responsibilities.”
You nodded, appreciating his candor. “I understand. I’m ready for whatever comes.”
Elijah’s smile widened slightly. “I believe you are. And for what it’s worth, I’m glad she has you. Rebekah deserves happiness.”
Before you could respond, a loud crash echoed from downstairs, followed by Kol’s unmistakable voice. “Honestly, Nik, must you break everything in a fit of rage?”
Elijah sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “It seems the day has officially begun. I’ll see you downstairs.”
As he walked away, you slipped back into the room, finding Rebekah awake and stretching languidly. “What was that noise?” she murmured, her voice still thick with sleep.
“Klaus and Kol, apparently,” you replied, leaning down to kiss her forehead. “We should probably go before they destroy the house.”
Rebekah groaned but climbed out of bed, her hand slipping into yours as you headed downstairs together.
The scene in the living room was predictably chaotic. Klaus was pacing, gesturing wildly as he argued with Kol over a broken vase. Elijah stood off to the side, his expression a mixture of exasperation and amusement.
“Ah, good, you’re both here,” Klaus said as you and Rebekah entered. “Perhaps you can convince Kol to stop antagonizing me.”
Kol scoffed. “I’m not antagonizing you, Nik. You’re just insufferable.”
Rebekah rolled her eyes, releasing your hand to step between them. “Enough, both of you. Honestly, it’s too early for this nonsense.”
Klaus opened his mouth to retort, but you cut him off. “Why don’t we all take a breath and focus on something productive? Like figuring out why we’re even arguing in the first place.”
Kol grinned, leaning closer to you. “See, this is why I like Y/N. Always the voice of reason.”
Rebekah’s glare could have melted steel. “Kol, if you don’t back off, I swear—”
Elijah cleared his throat, drawing everyone’s attention. “As entertaining as this is, perhaps we should address the more pressing matter at hand. Namely, the witches who seem intent on disrupting our peace.”
The room fell silent as Elijah’s words sank in. You glanced at Rebekah, her jaw tightening with determination. Whatever challenges lay ahead, you knew one thing for certain: you would face them together.
As the day went on, plans were drawn up to deal with the witches. You found yourself seated at the dining table, surrounded by maps, spell books, and ancient texts that Elijah had meticulously curated. Rebekah sat next to you, her hand brushing against yours under the table every so often, a silent reassurance amidst the chaos.
Kol, of course, couldn’t resist his usual antics. “Y/N, darling, have you ever considered learning magic yourself? I’d be happy to teach you. Just think of all the mischief we could cause together.”
Rebekah’s voice was icy. “Kol, I’m fairly certain Y/N has better things to do than indulge your nonsense.”
Klaus smirked, clearly enjoying the exchange. “Now, now, Rebekah. Perhaps Y/N could use some lessons in defending themselves. Mystic Falls can be a dangerous place, after all.”
You glanced at Rebekah, her jaw tight with frustration. Placing a hand on her arm, you gave her a reassuring smile. “I think I’ll leave the magic to the experts. I’ve got enough on my plate trying to keep up with all of you.”
Kol sighed dramatically. “A pity. You’d have made an excellent partner in crime.”
Rebekah’s glare was enough to silence him, at least temporarily. You couldn’t help but chuckle at her protectiveness, leaning closer to whisper in her ear. “You know I only have eyes for you, right?”
Her expression softened, and she turned to you with a small smile. “I know,” she murmured, her voice just loud enough for you to hear. “But that doesn’t mean I won’t remind them.”
The tension in the room dissipated as the family settled into the work at hand. Hours passed, and by the time the sun dipped below the horizon, the plans to confront the witches were finalized. Klaus called for a toast, raising his glass of bourbon high.
“To family,” he declared, his voice carrying an edge of sincerity. “And to those who choose to brave our madness.”
Everyone raised their glasses, even Kol, who winked at you from across the table. You clinked glasses with Rebekah, her smile soft and private, meant just for you.
Later that evening, you and Rebekah retreated to the garden behind the Salvatore house. The night air was cool, the sky clear and studded with stars. Rebekah laced her fingers through yours as you strolled along the stone pathway, her usually sharp demeanor softened in the quiet intimacy of the moment.
“Today was… eventful,” you remarked, glancing at her with a teasing smile.
She rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her grin. “My brothers are insufferable. But I suppose they’re your problem now, too.”
You laughed, squeezing her hand. “I think I can handle them. They’re just trying to protect you in their own ridiculous way.”
Rebekah stopped walking, turning to face you. Her hands moved to rest on your shoulders, her eyes searching yours. “I don’t need their protection, Y/N. You’re the only one I need.”
Her words were so full of conviction that they took your breath away. You leaned in, pressing your forehead to hers. “You’ve got me,” you whisered. “Always.”
The kiss that followed was slow and tender, the kind of kiss that spoke of promises unspoken but deeply understood. When you finally pulled back, Rebekah’s smile was radiant, her usual icy exterior nowhere to be found.
“Come on,” she said, tugging you toward the house. “Let’s get some rest. We’ll need our strength for whatever chaos tomorrow brings.”
The next morning, the Mikaelson siblings gathered in the parlor to finalize the last details of their plan. Klaus was in his element, commanding the room with his usual blend of charm and menace. Kol lounged in a chair, throwing in sarcastic comments every so often, while Elijah provided his steadying presence.
Rebekah sat beside you, her hand resting lightly on your knee. She seemed more at ease than you’d seen her in weeks, her shoulders relaxed and her gaze steady.
When the meeting adjourned, Klaus approached you with an approving nod. “You’ve held up well, Y/N. Not many can keep up with our… unique dynamics.”
You smiled, recognizing the compliment hidden beneath his teasing tone. “I’m tougher than I look.”
Kol appeared at Klaus’s side, his grin as mischievous as ever. “That you are. Though I must say, I’m disappointed I didn’t get to win you over before Rebekah claimed you.”
Rebekah shot him a withering glare. “Kol, I swear—”
You placed a hand on her arm, laughing. “I think you’ve all made it pretty clear where I stand.”
Klaus chuckled, clapping Kol on the shoulder. “Let her be, Kol. It seems our dear sister has finally found someone as stubborn as she is.”
Rebekah smirked, leaning closer to you. “And don’t you forget it.”
As the family dispersed, you felt a sense of belonging settle over you. It was messy, chaotic, and more than a little dangerous, but this was your place—by Rebekah’s side, part of her world.
Whatever challenges lay ahead, you knew you’d face them together. And that was enough.

“… You listened.”
“To you? Always.”
I NEED the tension PLS
what a feeling | klaus mikaelson
klaus mikaelson x psychic!female!reader (no y/n)
author's note; this + the oneshot I did with the ozark quote are so fun to do, if y'all have any more tv/movie quotes you want me to do fics with send them in <333
warnings; umm vague mentions of violence but ultimately nothing besides fluff, reader is kind of an anxious mess but it's short and sweet
Her powers had always been somewhat of a burden. They were unreliable at best, dangerous and deadly at worst. She'd been on both ends of the spectrum, and even though the power that ran through her bloodline hadn't skipped her, it might as well have compared to everyone else in her family.
It'd made her somewhat of a black sheep amongst wolves. Her dreams, visions, couldn't be trusted. She couldn't be trusted.
Her family never really let her forget that, so the first time two Originals walked into her family's innocuous shop, she figured they wanted her mom or dad, or someone else– anyone but her.
But Klaus had set his eyes on her and said her name like it meant something. Like it wasn't basically a curse in and of itself.
The Mikaelsons were kind to her, despite all of the trouble she came with. Rebekah was sweet and mostly understanding, though she could sometimes be a bit hurtful without realizing it. Elijah was ultimately the same, and his interest in witchcraft always made her remember how much she really did love it, even if she was considered cursed by most witches in New Orleans.
Elijah had told her all about how their mother was the Original witch, and that if they hadn't been turned into vampires, they'd all have a bit of magic in them still. Their sister Freya, and Kol, were both lucky to have that part of their heritage still, apparently.
In the months of working with the Originals, helping them to the best of her ability, though, it was Klaus that she'd come to enjoy most.
She'd heard stories of the infamous hybrid her entire life, stories of bloodshed and needless violence, painting a picture of an unforgiving, ruthless man. Admittedly, when he'd first sought her out, she thought he'd come to kill her. For what reason, she didn't know, but there was no other reason he'd want to speak to her unless she'd unknowingly passed on a piece of her cursed magic to him.
But that hadn't been the case, and he'd just been in need of her specific powers, needed her help to keep an eye out for certain people and any future threats that would bring harm to him and his family. She'd quickly learned that above everything, Klaus just wanted to keep his family safe, and she was more than happy to help in any way she could.
Even though most of her visions were unreliable, he still urged her to share them just in case. Even though not a single one of her visions about the Mikaelsons had come true so far, he still made her tell him and his siblings. He never let her doubt herself.
She supposes that's why she's trying not to be upset right now, listening to them talk over her like she's not sitting right in front of them.
"We can't just sit back and let this happen, Niklaus," Rebekah says, her face twisted frustratedly. "Her visions aren't fact, they're mere possibilities. And very low possibilities at that."
She flinched, ducking her head down to hide the hurt Rebekah's words inflict on her, because she can't really be upset when the blonde is right. Sometimes it's just a feeling, not even a vision. She can't blame them for not trusting a vision of a future that is constantly changing.
Elijah, ever the mediator, gives his sister a slightly scolding look before looking at his brother with something apologetic in his eyes. "Rebekah's being... harsh, but brother, she's not wrong. There's no way to prove that it will come true, and because of that, we have no real reason to not fight back. We have to do something, otherwise every vampire in the Quarter will be in danger."
Klaus pinches the bridge of his nose, his face twitching in a glare. His eyes drift to the quiet witch sitting down, twisting her fingers together anxiously in her lap. He catches her gaze and softens at the sadness in her eyes, feeling it pang in his chest.
"I know," He says finally, an apology swimming in his glacial eyes as he looks at the witch. Her sadness deepens with hurt at his words and he tears his eyes away from her, looking to his siblings. "We have to go."
She stands up abruptly, looking at him in disbelief. "But Klaus, they have white oak stakes, and they're going to use them on all of you. They kill you all, and they don't stop until you're all gone, even Freya! I saw it happen, I swear! You have to believe me, please,"
Elijah says her name with pity in every syllable and she swipes a hand out, turning to look at him with pleading eyes.
"You have to believe me, you're going to be killed if you go. They have laid a trap perfectly made to capture you, and you're walking directly into it!"
"We have to," Klaus shakes his head, already walking towards the doors, Rebekah and Elijah following. He looks over his shoulder, giving her a firm look. "Stay here until we return. It's not safe for you anywhere else."
He walks out before she can say anything else, pretending that he can't feel the heartbroken look on her face burning into his back as he leaves.
──────
She hasn't moved from her seat on the couch in the entirety of their absence. With every minute that shows no sign of their return, her heart beats faster, guilt beginning to seep into her pores.
Stuck in this spiral of horrible, self-deprecating thoughts, she's startled when the doors slam open and the three Originals come marching into the compound.
She stands up, eyes wide as she takes in the drying blood staining their skin and their clothes, but can't stop the wave of relief that washes over her at the sight of them all alive.
Rebekah has a slight limp to her step and Elijah seems to be favoring his left side more than usual, and there's blood on Klaus's face that she knows is his, but they're alive.
She lets out a shaky breath as Klaus walks towards her, Elijah and Rebekah heading for the stairs to likely clean themselves up and find a blood source to suck dry and finish healing.
"I was wrong," She sighs, eyes closing in abatement. "I'm so glad I was–"
She's cut off by Klaus's palms cupping her cheeks, and her eyes snap open when she feels the press of his plush lips against hers. She makes a noise of utter surprise that quickly dissipates into a noise of pleasure, and her eyes flutter shut as she lets him deepen the kiss, stealing the breath right out of her lungs.
She chases him as he pulls away, but he stops her, dragging his thumbs gently along her cheekbones as he looks at her with a look she'd dare call adoring.
It takes her breath all over again and she squirms beneath it, feeling like she's teetering on the edge of something big.
"What," She breathes out, licking her lips like she can still feel the weight of his on them. "What was that for?"
"You were right," He says, his voice rough. "You were right. They had white oak stakes and they tried to kill us. The only reason we survived is because of what you told us,"
Her eyes widen and she looks up at him in disbelief. "But... I'm never right. I'm cursed,"
He shakes his head, lips pulling up into a smile, creasing the dried blood on his cheek. "No, you're not, darling. You saved my life. You saved my family,"
Her throat tightens, thick with emotion, and she isn't entirely proud of the way her voice shakes when she speaks. "You listened?"
Klaus's gaze warms with fondness and he gives her a smile that makes her heart race for entirely new reasons. "To you? Always."
