an 80s/90s themed mall where a few of the stores actually feature real clothes from that era

kol wandered the mall, looking for something or someone of interest. though his attention is drawn by the period pieced clothing. "the 80s." he stated aloud before rolling his eyes. "the 20s were far better."

TVDu was all 'family is really important to the Mikaelsons, they have a whole saying about it' only to turn around and be like oh yeah that only applies to three of the siblings though !?! what!!?! how dare you!!

I'll always wonder how Hope felt about her father's relationship with Elijah, especially after her mother died.

For a time, Elijah was responsible for Hayley's death in her eyes, and no one will convince me this wasn't Klaus’s doing. He had spent half of season five brooding because his brother erased their memories, erased him, and repeatedly put their broken brotherhood over his own daughter. Klaus didn't have Camille or Hayley any longer, he didn't have Elijah specifically, who is the person he has the most codependent relationship with in the series and him lashing out because of it quite literally endangered Hayley's life even more.

Marcel pointed it out; he was lashing out because in his eyes, Elijah no longer loved him and had given their family up and that was clouding his judgment, something they couldn't allow with Hayley's life on the line. So it's just very ironic Hayley ended up dying, with only Klaus and Elijah conscious to see it, because by this logic, Klaus clearly told Hope her uncle hadn't saved her mother's life.

It is very much in character for him, especially because Klaus was acting hostile around his brother whenever Hope was around, so I wonder how she felt when she witnessed him quite literally running into his arms the moment Elijah got his memories back and they finally found common ground. Was she bitter, angry, hurt? This is the same man that was visiting Elijah constantly for seven years because he couldn't stay away from him, despite knowing it could potentially endanger his daughter, yet managed to ignore Hope perfectly fine for five-six years.

Of course, Hope eventually managed to find common ground with her uncle as well, but I don't think she actually realizes how screwed up the relationships in her family are, mostly because her family abandoned her and the ones who actually would do anything and everything for her are dead. Especially for a child as young as her, no fifteen-year-old teenager would ever understand why her father chose her "mother's killer" over her own feelings and over her own dead mother.

Because damn, it would hurt me so badly if my father claimed I was the person he loved the most, yet the one he couldn't live without and the one he constantly prioritized over me was his own brother.

vex strung an arrow before quickly holding the bow up, aiming it at the other. "take one step this way and i'll shoot this arrow right through your head." her brows rose as she drew in a deep breath. "this isn't the time to trust anyone and you definitely look dangerous."

“Do you really want me to answer that?” Ali drawled, arching her eyebrows at him. The joys of being a seer does come in handy, sometimes. “Yes, so you keep telling me how dangerous you are.” Ali mused, slightly smiling at  him. “Not the same level as you?” she pouted. “I'm pretty sure I defeated you in one of our training sessions,  many, many years ago.” ah, what a day to remember. "Besides, im slightly more vulnerable than you."

it'd been much too long without a word from davina. she was supposed to be home for dinner hours ago and if she were held up somewhere, they would've told him they would be late. but kol had sent a couple texts, called a few times without a reply and set it upon himself to search the city for her. using his vampire speed, he went to the places he would usually find her, the shops she liked and found nothing in the initial search. he'd been ready to give up the search when he smelled the faint remnants of blood nearby the path she'd usually take on their walks home. "davina?" he called as he walked towards it, already knowing what he was going to find but he wouldn't believe it until he was faced with the undeniable truth. turning that corner, kol felt something in him break at the sight before him. the rips into her neck, all too similar to how he'd been forced to kill her years ago. "davina!" despite not hearing a heartbeat, he ran to her, kneeling by her body, holding her head up. he brought his wrist to his mouth to bite into and break skin, moving his wrist to her mouth, willing her to drink even just a drop to no avail. even without the heightened emotions of being a vampire again, kol could feel his anger taking over. the veins around his eyes protrude as he stands momentarily to throw his fist into the brick wall. an unlucky witness walking past is immediately snatched by kol, ripping into the side of his neck to drain the blood from them before letting them drop to the ground. the action not having subsided any of the anguish he felt he searches closes his eyes, searching for the very place he felt the unending pain from. once again the world was trying to pull them apart. not only a few months after they're reunited, they're taken from each other again. it was some cruel joke the universe must be playing on them. he couldn't take it, being ripped apart from her one more time. it didn't take that long to find it, the source of the feelings, of all his feelings. he didn't want them anymore, he didn't want to feel this, he didn't want to feel anything. not a moment later, did a sly smirk play upon his lips as he felt all of it fading away. the ruthless anger, the depthless sadness, the willful love. it was all gone. "now that's much better." he reaches a hand up to wipe at the blood coating his chin.

Also I think it's interesting how Kol is the only Mikaelson that it's specifically mentioned to have inherited Esther's magic, aside from the little comment about Rebekah having 'borderline supernatural instincts' about people lying that could've also implied such. And he didn't just inherit her magic he was supposedly, in his own words, a child prodigy. So I think it's interesting how in the originals when Esther comes back to 'right the wrongs' she puts Finn into the body of not only a witch but a more powerful witch than Kol. Which Kol comments on! As if one of the wrongs she's righting is Kol's power giving it to her favourite son who she believes is more deserving of it. Which is particularly interesting as he's the one that's actually implementing Esther's plan by trying to gain Davina's trust and interacting with Mikael and his siblings and Finn later turns around and betrays her

15. The ground is made of teeth. That’s it. No other horror. But the ground is made of teeth. They nibble at the shoes a little bit and definitely seem hungry.

"i get that this is supposed to be horrifying, but i've met your brothers. creepy teeth monsters don't really get me anymore." she laughs, keeping one hand on her husband's arm in hopes of avoiding them being separated.

davina was unsure how it happened. not even believing she was the one who did the spell. was it the other mikaelsons? was it another witch out for vengeance? she had no idea. he wasn’t in his mikaelson body.. but the caleb body. so was it really kol or someone else? nevertheless, it didn’t stop her heart from racing as she stared at what could possibly be the love of her life, “kol?”
