Little Rambling

Okay, so I love crossovers. They were easily one of my favorite things, so here's a little ramble about a crossover I probably will never write, but might eventually

Wild Kratts meets DC (specifically Young Justice)

Jimmy's parents are rich who deal specifically with technology. They don't have a rivalry with Wayne Enterprises, instead they have a good relationship with each other. After Bruce adopted Dick, he suggested that he and Jimmy hung out together because they were both the same age

Eventually, Jimmy figures out that Bruce is Batman. He convinces Bruce to let him fight crime with him. He became Falcon Claw, but usually was just called Falcon

However, Jimmy gets into a really bad car crash then kidnapped for three weeks. He had to get his right leg amputated and had to go to the hospital. After, Jimmy decided to step away from the superhero life indefinitely

The Tortuga Crew hired Jimmy to be their pilot (a skill he had heard from Hal Jorden). Jimmy stopped exercising as much, so he got out of shape

Batman calls him to see if he would be interested in joining the Team, but he declines because he's enjoying himself with the Crew. Batman is a little disappointed because he does miss Jimmy, but is understanding of his decision

I also love the idea that Jimmy has superstrength. So like, he eats a lot because he burns through the calories a lot, even if he isn't working out all that much. Jimmy got secret abs, y'all

I'm thinking that this AU could be called something like:

Ex-Superhero Jimmy Z

The sun hung low on the horizon, painting the African savanna in hues of gold and amber. You stood at the edge of the camp, gazing out at the vast landscape. The soft rustling of leaves and distant calls of wildlife filled the air. It was your first expedition with the Kratt brothers, and though you’d dreamed of this moment for years, being here in person was overwhelming in the best possible way.

“Hey, you ready for tonight’s adventure?” a familiar voice asked from behind.

You turned to see Chris Kratt standing just a few feet away, his signature green Creature Power Suit peeking out beneath his jacket. His brown eyes sparkled with excitement, and the hint of a grin played at his lips. The sight of him, so full of life and energy, sent a flutter through your chest.

“I think so,” you replied, trying to mask the nervousness in your voice. “What’s the plan?”

Chris stepped closer, his smile widening. “There’s a pride of lions not far from here. They’ve been active at dusk, and we’re hoping to get some footage of them hunting. It’s going to be amazing.”

You felt your heart race, not just at the thought of getting close to the wild cats, but because Chris was always so infectious with his passion. Being near him made you feel braver, more alive. He had that effect on people.

“I’ve got the camera ready,” you said, holding it up for emphasis. “Just show me where to point it.”

Chris chuckled. “I knew you’d be on top of it.” There was a warmth in his eyes when he looked at you—something deeper than just the camaraderie you shared on these trips. You’d noticed it over the past few weeks: the way his gaze lingered a little longer when you laughed at one of his jokes, or how he’d find excuses to be near you during the quieter moments of the day.

As the two of you walked toward the jeep, Chris paused, looking up at the darkening sky. “You know, I’ve been on countless expeditions, seen animals in their natural habitats, but there’s something about this one that feels different.”

“How so?” you asked, stepping closer, feeling the cool evening breeze brush against your skin.

He turned to face you fully now, his expression softer than you’d ever seen it. “I think it’s because you’re here. It’s been… special, having you around.”

Your heart skipped a beat at his words. You searched his face, looking for any sign that he was joking, but his eyes held steady. The air between you seemed to thicken, heavy with unspoken feelings.

“I… I feel the same,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.

For a moment, everything around you faded away—the distant sounds of wildlife, the rustling leaves, even the darkening savanna. It was just the two of you, standing close enough that you could feel the warmth of his body, his presence calming and exciting at the same time.

Chris smiled, and before you could say anything else, he reached for your hand, gently intertwining his fingers with yours. The touch was electric, sending a warmth through your whole body. “I’ve wanted to tell you for a while now, but I wasn’t sure how,” he confessed softly.

You squeezed his hand, your eyes meeting his. “I’m glad you did.”

In that moment, beneath the African sky with the promise of adventure ahead, it felt like everything had fallen into place. Being here, in the wild, sharing this experience with Chris—it was more than you had ever imagined.

He leaned in slightly, his face close enough that you could feel his breath on your skin. “Ready for an unforgettable night?” he asked, his voice barely a whisper.

You nodded, your heart racing, and as the two of you climbed into the jeep together, hand in hand, you knew that this trip had already become more unforgettable than you ever thought possible.

And it wasn’t just because of the lions.

So, what would happen if the Wild Kratts team plus Zach and Violet decide to have a trivia night. Well, I imagine it would go something like this…

Martin: “How many bones does a shark have?”

Zach: “365!”

Chris: “Zach, sharks are cartilaginous fish, they don’t have any bones!”

Violet: “And, Zach…honey…that’s how many days are in a year…”

Zach: “😲, there are that many days in a year?”

I really only have two ships, a third one kinda forming, that I enjoy in WK. Which is Aviva x Koki and Jimmy x Chris. The third one is Gourmand x Zach. I haven't fully gotten into the ship, but I can see the chemistry. Other than those ships, I haven't found any ships that I enjoy

Summary: Lazy day with Martin, taking the break you desevre

Warnings: None

Notes: This isn't the Martin fic I was talking about, this is different. That one is coming but yall need to be fed so. I was listening to Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez and Em Beihold while writing this and its really short. (I was also pretty sad when I wrote this and in need of comfort so um, sorry)

Today was just one of those days where you just didn't want to move. The only issue with that was you were currently using your boyfriend, Martin, as a pillow and he would most definitely need to do at least something today. You sighed, taking in the peaceful moments you had before he woke up. You moved your arm toward the ceiling, something you found yourself doing sometimes whilst laying down.

"Oh, you're awake! Good!" You tilted your head back to meet eyes with him, seeing him wide awake. You were suddenly overcome with guilt, thinking you woke him up - even though you barely moved a muscle. "Oh, I didn't mean to wake you up, Im sorry Martin. Go back to sleep, please. I'll get out of the hammock-" He effectively cuts you off by tapping your nose.

"Oh let me hold you, please. I think we both need a break for at least a bit." He practically begs whilst holding you tighter, his body seeming more comfortable than before. You let out a content sigh before closing your eyes and nodding a bit. "That sounds great."

After a while of not seeing his brother or you, Chris decided he should at least look for you two, knowing all the mischief you two can cause. He walked into the main space in the Tortuga before looking around, seeing Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy Z but not you or Martin. "Where are the lovebirds?" All three of the Wild Kratts crew turned to shush him. Aviva pointed to the blue hammock the couple often shared. Chris looked at it and then smiled at what he saw.

Just you and Martin snuggling close, having the day off you both earned.

A Day of rest

It was a rare quiet day in the Tortuga, the mobile headquarters of the Wild Kratts team. The usual buzz of creature power suits and animal rescues had been replaced by a gentle hum of the ship’s systems and the soft rustling of leaves outside. Today was a day of rest, a day to recharge before their next adventure.

Chris Kratt sat at the edge of the Tortuga’s platform, legs dangling over the side as he gazed out at the lush forest that surrounded them. The sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow over everything. He turned his head slightly as he heard soft footsteps approaching from behind.

“Hey, there you are,” you said with a smile, joining him at the edge. “I was wondering where you disappeared to.”

Chris returned your smile, his eyes twinkling in the fading light. “Just taking a moment to appreciate the beauty of this place. Sometimes we get so caught up in the action that we forget to just… be.”

You nodded in agreement, sitting down beside him. “It’s nice to have a break every once in a while. To just relax and enjoy the moment.”

The two of you sat in comfortable silence for a while, watching the sky change colors as the sun dipped lower. Chris reached over and gently took your hand in his, his touch warm and reassuring.

“Thanks for being here,” he said softly. “These moments wouldn’t be the same without you.”

Your heart fluttered at his words, and you squeezed his hand gently. “I feel the same way, Chris. I’m glad we get to share this together.”

As the stars began to twinkle in the sky, Chris stood up, still holding your hand. “Come on, I have something to show you.”

Curious, you followed him as he led you back into the Tortuga and down to the main living area. There, set up on a small table, was a picnic spread with all your favorite foods. Candles flickered softly, casting a romantic glow over the scene.

“Chris, this is amazing,” you said, feeling a rush of affection for the thoughtful man standing beside you.

He grinned, his blue eyes sparkling. “I thought we could have a special dinner together. Just the two of us.”

You sat down at the table, and Chris joined you, pouring each of you a glass of sparkling juice. The conversation flowed easily as you enjoyed the meal, laughter and stories filling the room.

After dinner, you both moved to the couch, snuggling close under a cozy blanket. Chris wrapped his arm around you, pulling you close as you rested your head on his shoulder.

“Today has been perfect,” you murmured, feeling a sense of peace and contentment wash over you.

Chris pressed a gentle kiss to your forehead. “It has. And I’m glad we got to spend it together.”

As you drifted off to sleep in his arms, you couldn’t help but feel grateful for this day of rest in the Tortuga, and for the special bond you shared with Chris. No matter what adventures lay ahead, you knew that as long as you had each other, you could face anything.
