'EPIC: The Musical' fever hits hard, so here's 'Wild Kratts Our Green and Blue World: The Musical' but it's also Chrizach because, well, it's me...

DISCLAIMER: I did not actually write a musical for I have no rights to Wild Kratts, and I can't write music to save my life.

ACT 1:

'Wild and Free'

Performed by: Martin, Chris, Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy

Mood: Upbeat, joyful, optimistic

Summary: In this opening song, the audience is introduced to the Wild Kratts team, their philosophy, and personalities. The song starts with just Martin and Chris, before introducing each of the other team members and their musical motifs and instruments (Aviva: Acoustic Guitar, Koki: Marimba, Jimmy: Clarinet). There are harmonies, but also a lot of unison singing, demonstrating how in sync the team is.

Inspiration: 'It Roars' from 'Mean Girls the Musical' and 'The Family Madrigal' from 'Encanto'

'You (Zach's Lament)'

Performed by: Zach

Mood: Irritated, longing, denying

Summary: Zach watches as the Wild Kratts play, and laments the specific things he dislikes about them. However, he continually redeems one team member referred to only as 'You', and implies he would like to be in a romantic relationship with them. The lyrics initially lead the audience to believe he is singing about Aviva, but it becomes clear he is talking about Chris, though he never says his name. The song changes tempo and tone to become lighter when Zach is singing about Chris, and saxophone can be heard along with Zach's instrument (electric guitar).

Inspiration: 'Lonely Room' from 'Oklahoma' and 'Johanna' from 'Sweeney Todd'

'It's a Green/ It's a Blue World' from 'Wild Kratts: Our Green and Blue World'

Performed by: Martin and Chris

Mood: Upbeat, argumentative, conflicting

Summary: The original song, but extended. The brothers present their arguments for Green vs Blue, first logically, but eventually devolving into pettiness, though not cruelty. Martin and Chris's instruments (trumpet and saxophone) conflict each other, and their melodies are distinctly different. Typical Sibling stuff. They are unable to agree, and storm off in opposite directions, leaving the others behind.

Inspiration: 'Life's too Short' from 'Frozen' (Cut Song)

'The Ends Justify the Means'

Performed by: Zach, Paisley, Donita, Gourmand, Rex, and Dabio

Mood: Bold, Triumphant, Menacing

Summary: Initially unaware of the brother's fight, Zach, Paisley, Donita, and Gourmand meet to plan their beach resort, which all will contribute to and benefit from. They all revel in what they will get out of the deal: money, prestige, attention, etc, but Paisley brings up that they do not yet have a location decided upon. The vocals and instrumentals are all loud and exaggerated during this portion of the song, and feature a solo by each villain as they all compete to be the main voice heard. Their instruments and motifs are introduced during this song as well. (Zach: Electric Guitar, Donita: Violin, Gourmand: Euphonium, Paisley: Synthesizer) The mood shifts when Rex and Dabio interrupt to inform them of the Kratt brothers fight, which causes Zach to take over the narrative with a plan to manipulate Chris into helping them find a resort location. The others agree, leading to a triumphant and dramatic climax.

Inspiration: 'A Story Told' from 'The Count of Monte Cristo'

'Harmony'

Performed by: Martin, Chris, Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy

Mood: Fast-paced, conflicting, expressive

Summary: Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy track down first Chris, then Martin and attempt to persuade them to reconcile by pointing out the symbiotic ways forests and oceans interact with specific examples such as the water cycle. The team's appeals are all sung in a three-part harmony which neither brother is willing to join, instead continuing their conflicting melodies and reiterating that their colour is better while getting into increasingly dangerous situations. When Aviva tries a new tactic of stating that oceans and forests NEED each other, and the brothers do too, Chris and Martin do begin to harmonize...about the fact that the other needs to admit he is wrong.

Inspiration: 'End of the Line' from 'Theory of Relativity'

'Green is My Favourite Colour'

Performed by: Zach and Chris

Mood: Persuasive, friendly, complementary

Summary: The song begins with Chris alone, in the rainforest. He is openly hurt by Martin's arguments, but also begins to enjoy being surrounded by the colour he loves. As he notes the green he sees, Zach appears, causing an abrupt stop to the song while they talk. Chris is very wary of Zach, until he picks up the song, mimicking Chris's original melody and confessing that green is secretly his favourite, too. Though initially hesitant, Chris begins to join in with more and more enthusiasm, listing more reasons why green is better, with Zach's encouragement. They harmonize closer to the end of the song, and their instruments complement each other, but although they are singing the same words, many lyrics have double meanings that imply Zach's intentions.

Inspiration: 'I'm the Friend You Need' from the My Little Pony Movie-more the tone and message than the instruments or melody.

'Big, Bright, Blue-tiful'

Performed by: Martin ft Aviva

Mood: Bouncy, excited, celebratory

Summary: Martin's only solo in the musical, this song is preformed while he is exploring the ocean and interacting with/turning into aquatic animals. He downplays the fact that his brother isn't there to see them, instead attempting to revel in his beloved surroundings. The high point of the song comes when Martin is on top of Ka-bluey the whale, and Aviva cuts in to warn him that the team can't find Chris and suspect something has happened to him due him being alone. Martin feels guilty and attempts to call Chris, but there is no answer.

Inspiration: 'Dancing Through Life' from 'Wicked'

'Your Side, My Side'

Performed by: Martin and Chris

Mood: Frustrated, clashing, assertive

Summary: Martin manages to find Chris, who is still spending time with Zach. Zach does not participate in this song and leaves when asked by Chris, but he can be seen eavesdropping by the audience. Martin attempts to convince Chris that Zach has bad intentions, while Chris insists that Zach is on his side, unlike Martin. Some of Martin's begin to mimic Chris's as he tries to explain they're both on Nature's Side, but Zach is not. However, Chris's melodies repeatedly undergo slight changes in order to set him apart from his brother as he points out Martin's lines from earlier in the story and how Martin is clearly NOT on HIS side. Chris also makes it clear that Zach is not going to attempt to harm nature because he is going to keep an eye on him, and he does NOT need Martin to look after him. Even more upset than before, the brothers leave in opposite directions.

Inspiration: 'A Boy Like That' from 'West Side Story' and 'Take Me or Leave Me' from 'Rent' (Not the context of this song, just the musicality)

jimmy from wild kratts as keith kogane after he got antidepressants, and his time in space + getting kicked out of the garrison is why he doesn’t get any of the science talk, and the flying of the lion is why he’s good at flying the tortuga. (I’m watching the “Fish out of water” episode with the walking fish where he feels like he’s useless and it’s reminding me of when Keith left to the blade of marmora because he felt uneeded).

El Moho

Capítulo 3

Dos semanas y media, fueron los días que estuvimos cuidando a cervatillo de cola blanca o eso es lo que tratábamos de hacer.

Aviva estaba trabajando día y noche para encontrar una cura, pero parecía que cada vez que avanzaba un escalón al día siguiente retrocedía dos escalones. Era desesperante podía sentir su frustración de como su esfuerzo se convertía en desperdicio. Mas de una ocasión debíamos de detener a Aviva para que descansara apropiadamente ya que podíamos ver sus bolsas debajo de los ojos, tenia que decirle a Koki que mandara a Aviva a dormir ya que al parecer era la única persona que escucha en este momento.

Mientras que Chris y yo cuidábamos a Lindísimo descubríamos mas cosas sobre los efectos secundarios de la infección mas en su comportamiento. Además de que caminaba demasiado lento de modo de que cogía en la pata que estaba infectado había más cosas anormales que hacia el cervatillo de cola blanca.

Durante estos descubrimientos Aviva a estado anotando cada trastornos que le está pasando a Lindísimo con todo y detalle e incluso cuando lo llevamos al bosque nos pide que grabemos sus comportamiento para saber si los medicamentos que le a estado dando a funcionado. Estos serían los síntomas que puedo recordar…

Primero: Le gusta el calor; Parecía que cada vez que el sol se movía a Lindísimo se ponía en los rayos de luz, es normal que a muchos animales se den un baño de sol, pero el modo que lo hacía era peligroso podía tener quemaduras solares o deshidratación.

Segundo: No come; Cada vez que le dábamos de comer no lo hacía, tuvimos la idea de llevarlo afuera para que comiera el pasto, pero nada, no comía el pasto suabe, tampoco el pasto grueso, tenía la posición de un venado cuando comía el pasto, pero no lo hacia solo se quedaba viéndolo, a este paso se morirá de hambre

Tercero: No siente dolor; En general no parece que reaccione con los toque, golpes o caídas que el mismo se lastima es como si ya no pudiera sentir el dolor. La verdad no sé cómo explicarlo con exactitud.

Cuarto: Camina dormido; Es como si estudiara sonámbulo más de una ocasión lo e visto que esta buscando algo, digo esto ya que se la pasa olfateando el suelo, no es comida por que emos intentado darle heno, pero no se lo come. Así que lo que sea que esté buscando será un misterio para nosotros. También tiene los ojos abiertos, pero no reacciona como un sonámbulo.

Pensé que eras cuatro anormalidades era lo único que nos teníamos que preocupar, pero todo cambio cuando Chris descubrió algo más impactante.

Nos tomábamos turnos para cuidar a Lindísimo ya que en algunas ocasiones también lo cuidábamos en la noche ya que como dije camina dormido y hacíamos esto para que no se escapara de Tortuga, esto hiso que nosotros no pudiéramos descansar apropiadamente. Chris se ofreció en llevarlo a bosque para que caminara y hacer ver si en esta ocasión esta vez comiera algo mientras que yo tomaría una siesta en Tortuga. Fue como 4 horas que estuvo afuera en el bosque hasta que llego parecía impactado solo nos dijo mientras ponía a Lindísimo en el corral -Chicos tienen que ver esto- después de que le dijéramos a Aviva que Chris descubrió algo importante sobre la infección, me levante e inmediatamente fue hacia la computadora para producir el video.

Koki produjo el video, se podía ver que Lindísimo estaba quieto viendo un arbusto algo nos mal para nosotros en ese momento. Pero todo cambio cuando un coyote en el asecho. Aviva muy molesta le pregunto a Chris mientras apuntaba con el dedo la pantalla- ¿En dónde estabas tu Chris?- Chris sorprendido por la pregunta respondió -Fui al baño solo le quite le ojo por un minuto- Esto solo provocó que la cara de Aviva diera un mueca de desaprobación mientras pasaba eso el video seguía reproduciéndose -Aviva no pelear- Koki se puso al medio para que dejaran de pelear, detuvo el video y movió a Aviva a un lado de ella para que no atacara a Chris, yo en cambio me pude al frente de mi hermano por si las dudas.

-Quiero ver que paso con el coyote- dijo Koki después de que volviera a reproducir el video. Pudimos ver como el coyote estaba en asecho de Lindísimo, cuando el coyote corrió a toda velocidad para balacearse del creativo, cuando estaba a punto de callarlo pudimos ver que se detuvo en seco, era extraño nunca vi algo parecido en un depredador que actuara hace. Le tuve que preguntar a Chis si el había intermedio y me respondió que no que el llego cuando el coyote estaba parado cerda de unos centímetros de creativo. Después el coyote comenzó a olfatear al cervatillo y para sorpresa de todos solo le solo gruño y escapo agresivamente.

Ahora todos estábamos confundidos, ¿Qué demonios había pasado? Esto no era normal para nada normal. El silencio se sentía pesado, esto duro un rato hasta que Jimmy rompió el silencio con una vos confundida y temblorosa -¿Es normal que pase esto?-

Martin: -No para nada-

Chris: -No, es imposible que el coyote reaccionara de esta manera-

Jimmy: -¿Hay una explicación para esto?-

Martin: -Una lógica, no-

Mientras que Jimmy siguió preguntado yo empecé a buscar una lógica para esto, tenía tantas preguntas como Jimmy, pero supongo que la mente de Aviva es mas velos que la mía porque ella lo desaforó mas rápido de lo que yo pudiera haberlo echo.

Aviva: -Puede que…-

Koki: -¿Qué cosa?- lo decía mientras levantaba una ceja

Aviva: - Que el coyote sepa lo que tenga el cervatillo-

Kiko: -¿Que como?-

Aviva: -No lo sé, sería como un sentido que nosotros no pudiéramos ver- se quedo pensando un rato hasta que nos pregunto a Chris y a mi algo -Chicos, ¿Cuándo sacan a Lindísimo al bosque ven otros animales rondando?-

Le respondí que no como un impulso, pero al pensarlo me di cuenta de que los animales no se acercan con nosotros porque estamos cerca de Lindísimo nunca vi a una ardilla arriba de las ramas de los árboles o ave volando cerda en donde estábamos. Era como si la infección fuera una señal de alerta que impedía que cualquier otro animal se acercara a notros o mejor dicho se acercara al cervatillo -Lo que estás diciendo es que-

Aviva: -Si, lo que sea que era ese virus los animales saben lo peligroso que es-

Anomalía numero cuatro; Los animales se alejan de cualquier otro animal que este infectado de esta cosa naranja.

Daphne and the Wild Kratts Team

I am indeed alive!! I’ve been working on this for a while, but life has been crazy recently.

Daphne and the WK Team

Chris: Daphne likes Chris. He struggles to relate to her at times because he’s outdoors, literally touching grass. Whenever he needs help with the internet, he’ll call her over, knowing she’s good at that stuff. He watches her grow up in many ways, and is close with her, but sometimes he questions her mother’s intentions. He isn’t wholly convinced that Donita completely reformed, but he is willing to try to get over it, due to lack of evidence that she is back to her villainy ways. 

Martin: Daphne has always had an interesting relationship with Martin. Her mom was around him a lot, but she didn’t know very much about him. He was around enough for it to be suspicious, but not enough for Daphne to confront Martin or Donita about it.  Their relationship is their business and Daphne tries to just focus on her own relationship with him. He’s genuinely a very nice person, and while Daphne doesn’t talk to him without her mother around very often, he seems to be a like minded person to her. 

Aviva: Daphne loves Aviva. She’s probably the closest to Daphne of the WK team and they often chat to each other in Spanish. Aviva really cares about Daphne, but at times, especially when grades are involved, oversteps and tries to parent Daphne and force her to be better. She doesn’t think Daphne is trying hard enough in school, and doesn’t realize that math and science don’t come as easily to Daphne as they do to her. Despite all this, Daphne spends lots of time with Aviva and sends her some of her mothers finished products she thinks she’ll like.

Koki: Daphne didn’t get along very well with Koki in the beginning. They clashed a lot about the internet, since they both are on it and are prominent figures on it. Koki is against influencers in general, viewing them as scammers and not productive in society, and this bias bled into her relationship with Daphne. Daphne being Donita’s daughter didn’t help either. Koki is still semi convinced that the new being good act is just an act and Donita is waiting for them to let their guard down. As Daphne got more mature, she started talking to Koki more and told her more about her career on the internet and how not every influencer is the same. They eventually became closer, but still aren’t completely friends, with Daphne feeling hurt about what Koki said and Koki is still suspicious of Daphne.

Jimmy: Daphne rarely if ever interacts with Jimmy. She respects what he does but they just don’t have much in common. They follow each other on social media and like each other’s posts but their interactions don’t often go beyond a like and potential short comment. When they meet in person, they are both very awkward, preferring to interact with the safety of their screen in front of them. Daphne and Jimmy are both fine with this relationship, but people around them are pushing them to become closer due to their positive interactions.

If Wild Kratts was a (Chrizach) Musical ACT ll

ACT ll takes place 2-3 days after ACT l, as established through dialogue by Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy. They discuss the fact that the brothers still have not spoken, and that they are now aware that Chris is spending a lot of time with Zach...

'You Can't Go Back in Time'

Performed by: Chris and Zach

Mood: Playful, emotional, nostalgic

Plot Summary: The song begins in a playful debate between Chris and Zach about the possibility of time travel, with Chris arguing for it, while Zach points out reasons why it's not possible. The music slows and becomes more reserved when Chris confesses that he wants it to be real so that he can go back and change the way that he treated Zach when they were younger. Both confused and touched by this, Zach counters that HE is the one who has done things he wants to take back, but he knows it's impossible. He begins to fade out vocally and pull away from Chris, but Chris cuts in with a much brighter tone, confessing that despite it all, he likes Zach. The song ends on a hopeful note, with both characters acknowledging though they can't change the past, what happens next is up to them.

Inspiration: 'Only Us' from 'Dear Evan Hanson'

'The Price'

Performed by: Zach, Donita, Gourmand, Paisley, Dabio, and Rex

Mood: Triumphant, ominous, reveling

Plot Summary: The villains meet to discuss their progress on the beach resort, which will be built on the same beach Martin finds Chris and Zach on during 'Your Side, My Side'. Each villain again has a solo verse where they report on their progress and how much money they plan to charge for their creations. Rex and Dabio do not have their own solos, nor their own distinctive instruments, and instead echo or harmonize with Paisley and Donita. However, Zach has to be prompted to start his verse, and is noticeably coming in on the off beat, in contrast to 'The Ends Justify the Means' and 'You' where he is always on beat, signifying his insecurity in what he is saying. As the other villains pick up the refrain again, Zach sings an overlapping harmony, weighing the price of his actions if he betrays Chris.

Inspiration: 'Lions Over All' from 'The Lion Guard' and 'Easy Street' from 'Annie'

'Intervention'

Performed by: Tortuga Team (aside from Chris and Martin) and the Villains (aside from Zach)

Mood: Urgent, determined, layered

Plot Summary: Due to spying on Zach, The Tortuga Team have realized The Villains' plans. Jimmy does not believe they can stop the construction without the Kratt brothers, which leads Aviva to make the conclusion that this problem will finally be the push that brings the brothers back together. The music is strong and determined, with the three team members harmonizing as they form a plan to rescue Chris from Zach, even if they have to drag him away.

The music transitions to a lower key as Paisley conveys to Donita and Gourmand that she noted hesitation and distraction on Zach's part, and believes it is due to the amount of time he is spending with Chris (although she does not use his name). The other villains offer various cruel and comical methods of getting Chris out of the way, but they cannot agree, so finally settle on capturing him until they can reach a decision.

As the song builds to it's climax, both groups are moving in on Chris's location, completely unaware of each other.

Inspiration: 'Esmerelda' from 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'

'Green is my Favourite Colour (reprise)'

Performed by: Zach and Chris

Mood: Affectionate, wavering, romantic

Plot Summary: Zach finds Chris deeper in the rainforest, watching a Respledent Quetzl. Chris begins to tell Zach about the bird, but he interrupts him, clearly nervous. Though the melody is nearly identical to 'Green is My Favourite Colour', the words are slightly altered as Zach reveals that green has been his favourite colour since he was a child...because of Chris and his feelings for him. There is a brief pause where the musical motif of 'You' can be heard before Chris smiles and picks up the melody, confessing that he has feelings for Zach as well, though they are still very new. The song ends very abruptly as Zach cuts off Chris mid-line with a kiss, which Chris joins with enthusiasm.

Inspiration: 'When Words Fail' from 'Shrek: The Musical'

'You're Better (Worse) Than This'

Performed by: All Villains ft Chris

Mood: Threatening, chaotic, aggressive

Plot Summary: The villains surprise Chris and Zach not long after their kiss. Chris's part is very minimal ( similar to Telemachus's "Get off Me!" in 'Odysseus' from EPIC) before Dabio and Rex manage to drag him away. The main villains confront Zach and attempt to appeal his selfish nature, reminding him of everything they stand to gain and all of the times Chris has deliberately undermined him or gotten in his way. Zach appears to agree with them, and joins in the end of the song, however he sings 'I'm Better than this' when the others sing 'You're Worse than this' and vice versa.

Inspiration: 'The Ultimate Deception' from 'Journey to Bethlehem'

'What Really Matters'

Performed by: Aviva, Koki, Jimmy, and Martin

Mood: Urgent, emotional, determined

Plot Summary: Aviva, Koki, and Jimmy forcibly pull Martin from the sea with one of Aviva's inventions to tell him that the villains have taken Chris. When he is not immediately on board to rescue him, Aviva's guitar becomes aggressive and passionate as she belts at him the question: "Is your favourite colour all that matters to you?" After a brief silence, Martin shamefully gives a "No." before Koki and Jimmy take over the song, now at a lower volume and gentler pace. They remind him of all the times he and Chris have been there for each other, how much they love each other and the planet, and that the most important thing at that moment is that Chris is in danger. Martin agrees, slowly coming out of his shame to join the song and following the others towards the villains' base.

Inspiration: 'Go Tonight' from 'The Mad Ones'
