you like to match.
maybe it’s a remnant of the old world, back when your biggest problem was how well your outfit was received.
most of the time, you had to dress practically. whenever your group came across an untouched clothing store or cache of quality clothing, the priority was typically finding seasonally appropriate clothing and weather gear, fresh undergarments, new shoes, socks, etcetera. you rarely had the opportunity to put together a real outfit. it was all layering and just taking whatever you could carry. practicality had you collecting cargoes in every color.
rick enjoyed your style; you made an effort to look put together when you could and post-apocalypse, all it took was you finding a pair of jeans that actually fit to propel him from checking you out to tearing them off and bending you over the nearest surface.
daryl thought you were a mall rat. he takes the opportunity to make fun of you and your fashion sense while you’re out on a run.
“this is an abandoned kohl’s, not mooningdale’a or wherever the bitch from ‘friends’ worked.”
you giggle at him. “you mean bloomingdale’s?”
“whatever.”
the two of you are scavenging the former shopping center in search of any edible food, water, tools, anything for judith, just anything that could come in handy. winter coats and appropriate weather gear were pretty large priorities as well.
you thumb through racks of clothing, estimating if it suit fit the person from the group who you were mentally fitting. from flannels for carl, onesies for judith, and boxers for rick, you’re tossing your finds over your arm like an associate was about to come up and offer you a basket.
the pile you’ve accumulated is ditched on an ottoman in the shoe department when a pair of boots catches your eye.
“fuck,” you whisper low enough for daryl not to hear. the brown leather boots have you salivating at the mouth. god, you have nowhere to wear those but if you did…
you’re forced to pick your jaw up off the floor when daryl comes around.
“find anything worth bringin’ back?” his arms are full with everything from tool kits to batteries.
you shake your head. “nope, not much. i’m gonna grab a cart though,” you mention, gesturing to the haul in his arms.
“just don’t get a squeaky one in case there are any walkers lyin’ round.”
“of course!” you chirp, hand wrapping around the metal handlebar as you pry it from a line of other shopping carts.
daryl dumps his finds in and while his back is turned, you toss in the pair of boots. a layer of two of tissue paper on top seems like a good enough disguise.
then the two of you are back to walking the sales floor. you can’t help but watch daryl as he walks in front of you. your breath hitches when you notice how tightly that shirt clings to him - to his rather large arms specifically. you’re so engrossed in how he pushes the cart that you almost miss the gadget out of the corner of your eye.
suddenly you’re doing a double take and walking yourself back to the electronics section.
“you makin’ a documentary or somethin’?”
you turn over the camcorder in your hands. “maybe.” you smile at your traveling companion. “you can take me on one of your hunts and i can get some footage.”
“spook all the deer while you’re at it.”
laughing at him, you flip the screen fully open and put the recording device up to your eye. “maybe i’ll make a survival documentary. video diary or something.”
daryl is walking up to you and flipping the camera shut as soon as he notices the viewfinder trained on his groin.
“what?” you cry, immediately putting on a fake pout. “you don’t wanna make a porn with me?”
“baby, this is a kohl’s.”
you shrug. “what’s it matter? i’m sure people made porn in kohl’s before. wanna go to the dressing room?”
“i don’t think we have time for all that-,”
“ah, i think we do.”
despite his protests, you tug him away from the electronics section - camcorder in your back pocket - and make a beeline for the dressing room.
rick and daryl didn’t like you leaving alexandria without them.
most of the time they made you write them a list as opposed to letting you window shop in the wasteland yourself. so something so mundane as using a dressing room is kind of exciting to you.
the man with a hand in yours rolls the cart up to the dressing room attendant’s desk.
daryl frowns when he notices the boots under the tissue paper. “baby, the fuck’ are these?” he holds up the most gorgeous pair of boots you’ve ever seen.
your lip quivers. “the best pair of shoes i’ve seen since atlanta.”
“how the fuck are you gonna run from walkers in these?”
“uh, i won’t.” you spit.
“you mouthin’ off?”
“never.” you promise with a chuckle.
daryl just shakes his head. “put ‘em back.”
“i think i’ll keep them.”
“really?” he pushes the cart aside to stand in front of you, close enough so that you can feel his body heat radiating towards you.
you offer a playful smile. “i think you just need to see me in them first. then you’ll be convinced.”
with that, the two of you are darting into a dim dressing room - boots in hand.
it doesn’t take long for you to hear the fitting room door swinging open, announcing that rick has found you two.
“we were just discussin’ the merit of her wearing underwear.”
you’re glad the three of you are confined to the handicap dressing room. you wouldn’t want anyone to see your blush when rick gets a cocky grin on his face.
he takes in the sight of you with your jeans pushed down and his best friend next to you, another finger toying at your underwear.
“well, you know my answer.”
you don’t need to ask the constable; he’d make it law for you to go commando at all times if he could.
“yeah, i don’t think you need ‘em.” the younger man agrees.
“why is me wearing underwear such a debate?” you question with a wistful smile. “you two spend awfully more time talking about it than it off.”
“why don’t you show him your boots first?”
you lift an eyebrow, and a leg and do a little kick, still mindful of the intimate dressing room. the light falls on the posh leather boots in such a fashion that you’re forgetting you snatched them off of a shelf at kohl’s.
rick whistles. “you look great in them, darlin’. i’m curious where you think you’ll be wearin’ then though.”
shrugging, you settle back down onto the seat and begin freeing yourself from the leather brown boots. “not sure. they’re pretty to look at though.
“that they are.” rick agrees.
“why don’t you keep ‘em on?”
you raise an eyebrow. “i thought they were,” you make air quotations with your fingers, “shit boots.”
rick sniggers. “so mean to her, dare.’”
you nod, zipping a boot back up. “really.”
“i think you should apologize to the pretty lady. tell her you like her boots.”
you teeter a boot a foot above the ground invitingly. daryl falls to his feet in front of you with a frown that you know is a front. as soon as he’s faced with your inner thighs, his hands are laid out on top of them, and he’s iterating beneath you,”
“i’m sorry ‘bout your boots, baby.” he states, eager fingers inching closer to your waistband again. “i think you look fuckin’ fantastic in ‘em. but where are you gonna wear em’?”
you have an answer but as he peels back your panties and leans in to face a mere few inches from your dripping core, your response is stuck in your throat. it takes a sharp inhale to regain your thoughts when his finger and tongue begin tempting you at the same time. rick leans against the wooden paneled wall, crossing his arms at you.
“you know they’re gonna be hard to match with all your other clothes. not that you don’t have enough.” rick sighs, running a hand through his hair like he’s thinking about storage and reveling in spectating daryl touch and tease you. “you already filled up the closet last time you came out with us. you’re gonna have to call rosita over to take some of it off your hands.”
you roll your eyes. they’re telling you that you need to get rid of clothing like every other month. when it comes time for them to make you bag up anything you’re willing to part with, you typically found some way to end up on your knees or with them bending you over something. that usually gives you another month.
“i thought daryl was saying sorry.” you grumble, smooth legs kicking playfully in protest until daryl has them pinned against the seat, his tongue licking furious stripes from the top of your clit down to your aching little hole.
“baby, you’re so wet.” daryl comments, lips smacking with your slick.
“as always.” rick jeers, walking over to sit next to you. “hey, doll,” he greets into your mouth.
needy and bucking into daryl’s soft mouth, you return the kiss with a fervor that rick’s not expecting. he groans at the bruising brush of your pillowy smooth lips against his.
you’re reaching your hand to the side to grasp at him when you instead find your camcorder. remembering your original plan, you pull it forward onto rick’s lap.
he only chuckles into your mouth when you open the video camera and aim the lens on the man going to town between your legs.
“you forgive me, baby?” daryl inquires with the addition of a finger.
you nod up and down. “fuck, i forgive you, dare’. you’re so good with your mouth.”
rick’s smile turns upside down when he notices how shaky your hand is getting as daryl brings you closer to your first p.m. orgasm. he brings a steady hand up to relieve you of your cameraman duties.
the opportunity presents itself to fall back into rick so you take it. his chest is pressed snugly against your backside now as he angles the camcorder to catch the downright debaucherous scene occurring in this kohl’s dressing room.
your legs are quivering and you’re chanting daryl’s name when he removes his fingers and goes all in on your pussy.
rick clasps a hand on your mouth. “shh, honey. don’t want the others to think somethin’s wrong.”
“mhmmm,” you shudder against his hand.
the pleasure daryl’s been doling out to you comes in the form of a mind numbing orgasm that washes over your tensed form from head to toe. daryl doesn’t slow down either as you cost his face in your sweet slick. he’s licking patterns into you and you swear he’s trying to paint the alphabet across your cunt as you ride out the delicious pressure your boyfriend is treating you to.
“how are you gonna walk back to the car?” rick asks you, pulling your face gently towards his to cup your chin and engross you in another kiss. he only separates from you to pass the camcorder off to daryl and lift your thighs.
“might have to carry you.” daryl muses and begins undoing his belt.
“rick, you’re gonna fuck me, right?” you crane your neck to lock eyes with the man entering you right then and there.
“fuck, give me a moment, darlin’.” rick shakes his head as you grind against him, unable to think straight.
you’re catching your breath when you look up and notice the blue eyed man behind the somehow closed camcorder. bless him.
“i think you have the cover on,” you giggle and stretch using your tippy toes to flip it back for him.
once the red light is on your face, rick yanking your tank top off and attacking your bare chest with open mouthed kisses. the nipple he pops into his mouth pebbles even more at his touch. his mouth coupled with the all encompassing stretch you’re enduring is drawing every moan you can muster.
he cements a grip on your hips to raise you up and down on his cock in his lap. the plushnsss of your ass is making him feral as he’s met with that same pillowy softness upon every meeting with his pelvis.
daryl keeps the camera on you, rick, and the mess you’re creating in your laps. he shuffles to stand next to the seat and offers you his now nude cock which you happily take into your mouth, earning him a better angle in the process.
the camcorder captures you oohing and aahing around daryl as rick fucks the past few hours of tension out of you. nothing like justifying fucking your brains out in a dressing room on stress and performance.
the girthy man in your mouth is thinking the same thing. daryl hisses when he hits the back of your throat and you gag. he’s fucking your throat even faster once he catches sight of his dick disappearing in and out of your pretty pink lips on the screen.
like a seesaw, you rock up and down on rick. the way rick is thrusting upwards into you has you moaning pornographicly around his best friend’s length. it’s only so long before you have to give in. you’re rolling your hips frantically and making the most debauched noises around daryl.
that’s all it takes for the archer to twitch in your throat. you’re prepared to swallow but before you know it, he’s backing his cock out of your mouth and holding it directly in your face, pumping with one hand and recording in the other.
“watch out, rick,” he warns.
and just like that his cock is in front of you, spurting and coating your face.
“does that go with your outfit?”

you heard that they were the naughtiest
Tumblr media
they were all naked, but he was the exposed one
warnings: smut, prostitution, p in v, blowjob, feelings :(
word count: 3.7k
It's not intentional per se. When he stumbles upon a room of half-naked women he doesn't reject the sight, but he didn't seek it out. He's kind of just shoved into the room. His friends insist it's the perfect way of getting over a break-up. He guesses he can't really handle rejection right now either which is why they aren't picking up chicks in a place where you wouldn't have to pay for it. Plus, they have to be on a tour bus in a matter of hours so they can't waste time here.
At least, that's his friends' thinking. All he can think about are tits, tits, tits! Seriously, he never thought he'd be overwhelmed by the sight of boobs after he made it through the rough stage of puberty but they're everywhere and he can only take his eyes off of them to look at another set of boobs. Two nipples staring at him like beady little eyes.
"You like?" A woman in a long robe with fluffy feathers lining it comes beside him. She's twice the age of everyone here and she must be the only one semi-dressed.
"Oh, uh, yeah, I mean...yeah." He feels like he's objectifying the women by looking at them but at the same time what the fuck else is he supposed to do? "Yes."
"Have your pick," she invites.
Alex feels flushed, his voice stolen from him as he chokes on his own spit. "What? Like any of them?"
The woman nods. She has a certain elegance that he wouldn't expect from a pimp. Her makeup is poorly drawn on and her hair looks like it's about to fall off her head but she wears pearls and diamond earrings, which could be fake but he can't tell the difference. "Your friends paid for you," she tells him.
There are blondes, brunettes, and gingers. There's one girl in the back with purple hair. "Can—can I do more than...?"
"More than one?" The woman laughs and Alex shrinks and he suddenly wishes he was getting rejected at some pub instead. "No, no, sweetie. That would be another additional payment and an extra fee. But any of my girls out here are for your choosing. I'm sure they'll treat you better than any girl you've had before. You seem like a nice one too. They might even give you an extra favour for that."
"Like a blowjob?" The question just falls out and he wants to slap himself after saying that.
The woman instantly starts laughing again. "Whatever you want, sweetie. You're in charge. Now, go on, make your pick."
She pushes him forward and brown, green, and blue eyes meet him. Unexpectedly, he's hit with the feeling of being a kid in a candy store and part of him feels bad for viewing these women as candy for him to consume but the other part of him (his cock) is growing hard and needy.
"Um, I'll, um, have her." Alex points to a woman, she must be right around his age, maybe a few years older. Wide eyes, kohl-smeared staring right back up at him. Her hair is long, wavy, reaching down far enough to cover her tits, her nipples peeking through at the movement of her head.
The woman rises from her chair and takes hold of Alex's hand, dragging him toward one of the backrooms. Her ass, bare and in plain view for him. He realizes he can do whatever he wants. He could squeeze it, smack it, rub it, kiss it, fuck it. It's a terrifying thought but the pleasure he gains, the way his dick feels so constrained can't be matched.
"So, uh, how long have you been doing this?"
She laughs, but it's a cute one, instead of a mocking one. "The whore thing?" Alex nods as she shuts the door behind him. "Couple years."
The room is relatively empty. There's a bed with white sheets, two bedside tables with lamps on each that are turned on, and a painting of a naked woman because they are obviously lacking in the department of nude women.
"The room to your liking?" She asks him.
He wipes his sweaty palms down on his jeans. "Yes!" He shouts it a little enthusiastically but again the woman giggles nicely and moves onto the bed, sitting on the edge, crossed-legged and tempting.
"How'd you like me?"
"How'd I like you?" He questions.
"Your call, honey. Take me whichever way you like."
He just about busts a nut at this woman, staring him down, who he can have free-range on. Something overcomes hum. Maybe it’s loneliness, but he’s first thought isn’t sex. "Can I kiss you?" He doesn't really know how else you're supposed to start sex. It feels weird to just put his dick in her right away.
She seems shocked by this sentiment. "Uh, sure."
Alex is still standing by the door. He shoves his hands in his pockets. "Not a lot of guys ask that, do they?"
She shrugs. "Some do. But I can see," she points to his crotch, "your erection." Alex's first instinct is to cover it up with his hands but he realizes he doesn't need to do that here. That kind of thing is encouraged here. "Most guys don't like to kiss about when they're already hard."
"Yeah, well, things with my girlfriend just ended, and—fuck, I wasn't supposed to talk about this."
She giggles. "That's fine."
"No, that was like the one thing my mates told me not to talk about. I guess I've been going on about it for a long time."
"Well, this is your time so you can do whatever you like but for reference, you only have me for about a half hour and that half hour started when you picked me so you only have about 25 minutes left."
"Oh, right, so we should probably..."
"Take care of that erection? It's up to you but I'll do everything, except rape kinks."
"People request that a lot?"
She shrugs. "Yeah. People request a lot of weird things. The rape thing gets a little iffy for me because I'm not, well..."
"Willing?"
"Well, I'm willing. I'm getting paid. It's my job. Some of the girls do it if you want to. I guess it helps keep people from raping other people."
"No, I mean, I kind of like it when the people I'm fucking want to fuck me."
"You're still hard," she notes. He definitely is. It's pressing up against his zipper and threatening to rip a hole straight through his jeans. "I don't mind talking to you if you want to do that but I have a feeling you might want to take care of that."
Alex lets out a chuckle of relief, finally relaxing just a little. "Yeah."
"So...however you want me." She's open and offering and it's terrifying. He's usually not the director of these things. It's always been a mutual thing but he feels less scared about taking charge then he thought he would.
"Okay. I'm going to take off my clothes if that's okay."
She chuckles. "Yeah, I think you're gonna have to do that eventually."
"Right." He laughs at himself, carefully taking off his shirt and jeans. He leaves his underwear on, nearing her slowly. He stands above her, tilting her face up with his finger, he looks down at her, and he knows he's fooling himself, but she really does look eagerly interested. Her eyes are erotic and her lips slightly puckered. He leans down slowly and kisses her lightly. "Can you give me a...blowjob?"
She stuffs away laughter and looks up at him with a grin. "Certainly." She pushes him back a step and sits on her knees. Her fingers skim the elastic teasingly, before reaching in, pulling them down, exposing him. She holds it and her hand with stimulating strokes. "You're so big."
He's never thought himself to be particularly enlarged. He hasn't really seen many, except in porn and at the urinals but, you know, he's not really looking at other guy's cocks while they pee. "Do you say that everyone?"
She bites her bottom lip, so close to his dick, he's starting to leak out precum and he can do anything he wants so he might just shove her head onto his cock. But he doesn't want to be brutal with her. "I mean, yeah, but I'm being honest. Swear it."
Alex believes her and gets amusement from the whole thing but he stands up a little straight with a bit more pride. He's apparently well-endowed. "Thanks."
She hollows out her cheeks and swallows around him, letting his shaft slide along her tongue until it hits the back of her throat. Then she retreats and starts all over again, leaving more and more of her saliva slathered on his cock every time it pulls out of her mouth.
It's wet and messy, but it's the best blowjob he's ever had, which isn't shocking. She does this for a living. Especially with the way she reaches under and cups his balls as she swallows his cock, rolling his sacks around in her hand and kneading his flesh softly.
It makes his knees weak and he doesn't think he can stand anymore. "Can-can I sit please?" He gets out through a moan. She releases him, charmed by his hesitation and his need to ask for permission. He sits down on the edge of the bed and shimmies towards the middle. He lays on his back and spreads his legs for her to crawl between, sharing a smile with her as she gets comfortable on her stomach.
She wraps her hand around Alex's cock again, pulling it back so she can lick up the underside of it repeatedly, from base to tip. Her tongue traces the vein before swirling around the tip, tonguing his slit a few times before making her way back down to suck his balls into her mouth. Her teeth nip playfully at the loose flesh.
That's when he has to pull her off of him. "I'm about to come and, I mean, if you don't mind I'd like to be in you."
She smiles, her eyes bright. "Yeah. On you, you on me, doggy. Should I pull at the Kama Sutra?"
Alex snorts. "You're really funny."
She rolls her eyes. "We're running low on time here. Make up your mind, mister!"
Alex flips them over after a moment, hovering over her as she looks up at him with wide eyes and an excited grin. "Ready?"
"Yeah." She widens her legs to give him more room to work as he moves back away from her on his knees. Alex reaches a hand down, squeezing those blinding tits. He leans down, placing his mouth over it and a shock goes through him as she moans. His tongue skims over her nipple and she lets out another one and he'll be thinking about how he got a whore to moan for the rest of his life and she also called him big.
He sits back up. "I'm gonna fuck you now," he tells her.
"Please," she groans and he feels like the man. Nothing will top this. He's the fucking man.
Not being able to wait a moment longer to be inside her, Alex slides his cock down to her slick hole and pushes inside. Her warm pussy envelops his cock inch by inch as he slides into her. "Oh my God," he moans as her walls cling to his shaft. "Holy shit."
She hums in acknowledgment. She reaches down and begins to rub her clit as his cock slowly fills her up more and more until he finally reaches the back of her, his balls pressing against her ass once he's all the way inside. She's breathing heavily, clenching her pussy around his cock to get used to the feeling.
He sighs as he starts to get used to the feeling. He feels on edge but he wants to make use of every single minute he has with her. He begins to move his hips, pulling his cock out just to shove it back in, slowly starting to thrust his hips.
"Yeah, right there," she tells him, pulling his body down so it's pressed against hers as he fucks her. "That feels so good. Do you feel good, baby?"
"You feel incredible," he grunts into her neck, leaning his weight on his forearms on either side of her head, his arms bending her legs back further. He's sure she's said that to a million guys before, maybe even a few today, but the way he feels inside her, he might be kidding himself, but it feels too tight, too wonderful for only him to be feeling this good.
She lets out a whimper in response, hands moving to Alex's head to tangle in his shaggy hair. "Kiss me," she begs, tugging his hair to bring his head up from her neck so he can press his lips against hers. She opens her mouth and allows his tongue inside, sucking on it gently as his cock slides into her in long, sensual thrusts, slowly but steadily.
Their naked skin pressed together, and his cock was deep inside her. Alex feels closer to her than he's felt with anyone in ages. He feels tense and he knows he's close. This has only been perfect and he wants it to end perfectly. He wants to get every penny's worth but he wants to make her feel good because he bet not everyone has made her feel this good.
Her body shakes as she comes, her pussy clinging to him inside her as she moans into his mouth. He wants to come with her so badly, but he wants to keep fucking her more, to show her how good he can make her feel.
Before she even comes down from her orgasm, he is flipping her over onto her stomach and sliding his cock back into her from behind, stretching his forearms so his hands are planted on either side of her body so he can push his hips into her in smooth, hard thrusts. "Is this okay?"
"Yeah, keep going," she tells him. He really wants to just press her into the mattress and hump her roughly, but he'll last longer this way, and he can tell she's enjoying it by the way she moves against him.
She arches her back and twists her neck so she can look at his face as he pushes into her, his cock hitting spots so deep inside her. It hugs him tightly and pulls him in deeper and deeper each time he comes barreling down into her.
"Oh, you're making my pussy feel so good," she cries. It's so intimate and makes him feel so connected to her. He can't believe how good he is.
"You like that?" Alex huffs barely heard over the sound of slapping skin each time his hips connect with her ass cheeks. His tummy tightens as he thinks about how special this feels. "Can I come in your mouth?"
"Yeah, yeah." She nods frantically. He pulls out and she flips onto her back. Alex moves up; he is just over her wide-open mouth.
A stream of cum shoots out from the tip of his throbbing cock and lands on the tip of her tongue. "Fuck," he moans at both the feeling and the sight of it, splatters landing on her cheek and nose.
His hips jerk as the last spurts of cum come out, landing on her. His legs wobble as his body buzzes in the aftershocks. "Wow," Alex breathes out in awe, enthralled by the sight. "You're so pretty."
"Thanks," she mutters. Alex lands on his back beside her, unable to hold himself up straight anymore. He breathes heavily as she sits up to wipe the cum off of her face.
"That was the best sex I've ever had." His tongue is spilling things out but he feels like he can tell her these things because that must have been some of the hottest sex she's ever had too.
She looks back at him with a grin. "You're cute, honey."
Alex regains some strength and leans over to where she's picked up a cigarette. His arms wrap around her waist. He wants to hold her tight, wants to cherish her. "You're so gorgeous."
"You want a smoke?" She asks before lighting her cigarette.
He shakes his head. He just wants to look at her without the blur of smoke separating them. "Here. Lay down with me."
"Your time is technically up but I guess I can take my break with you."
He's moved that she feels the same he does. Alex still can't believe what he's experienced, his body still recovering from the motions. She sits up against the headboard, smoking her cigarette so instead of cuddling with her side-by-side in bed like he wants, he'll sit beside her against the headboard.
"So, do you usually take your breaks with your customers?" He's a special and very lucky man, he knows it.
"Um," she thinks out loud, "sometimes. They'll give me one of their cigarettes or an extra tip if I sit and talk with them. A lot of men who come in here are really lonely."
He's not one of those men. He didn't give her cigarettes or money, she just wants to sit and talk with him and he's charmed by this. He wants to take her out of her. Not leave her in this dirty place where men take advantage of her and treat her nastily. "I can imagine."
She looks over at him with a smirk. "What?" He questions.
Her smirk drops and she shakes her head. "Nothing. So, your ex dumped you or you dumped her?"
Alex sighs. "She dumped me. I thought we might get back together but she's got this new guy and I'm just a loser, I guess." He's worried that means he's calling her a loser so he quickly tells her, "That's nothing against you. I'm sorry if that came off rude."
She laughs and shakes her head. "You're fine. I've been called much worse."
Alex can't imagine anyone being rude to her. She's angelic in her caring and her laugh is like the sun shining on you, beating you in heat after a cold winter. "I'm sorry they've done that."
"It's fine," she insists. "People don't really understand my job. I like doing it and that shocks people. I guess there are your regular creeps but that's half the people out there nowadays. So, this way instead of being stuck with a crappy date with these people, I get paid to sleep with them and never see them again. I mean, who doesn't like sex?"
"I don't know who wouldn't like sex with you." He's being mushy but fuck, if you could see her, if you fucked her, you'd be feeling the same way.
She throws her head back in laughter. "Thank you, sweetie. I wouldn't have hung around her so long if I wasn't good at it. I'm a professional feel-gooder. I make everyone who comes in here feel better when they leave."
"Well, you've made me feel much better," he tells her.
She smiles over at him, taking a pull of her smoke. "Good. I'm glad to have done that."
"Even just talking to you I feel understood." He's looking at her and something pulls through him. He just wants to spill all his guts. Tell every little secret and then she'll share hers. It can't feel this good with everyone.
"Good," she says.
He's leaving town in a matter of hours and he can't even bear to leave her behind, at least not without getting her number. Christ, he doesn't even know her name. He curls an arm around her shoulders. "I'm leaving town soon but how would you feel about going out with me once I'm back in town."
"Oh," she smiles at him so lovingly, heartbeats skip, and he's lost in her eyes. He can't imagine how anyone could badly treat her, leave her, forget her. She softly chuckles. "Honey, I don't do that kind of thing."
His eyebrows furrow. "Are you not allowed?"
She shakes her head. "I just don't go out with people I meet at work. I'm not a girlfriend, I'm a quick fuck. I can give you conversation, I can be a flirt, I can be a slut, whatever, but I'm not gonna date you."
"But...I thought that we..."
"Sweetie," she's cooing at him and he hates this feeling. It's like getting dumped all over again. "I'm just doing my job. You're a total sweetheart. I mean, girls must love you."
"Well, what about you?" He asks like saying that, questioning her will change things.
She gives him a crooked smile and she looks slightly remorseful. "I'm not a girl. I'm not really anything to you. You don't even know my name."
"I could. You could tell me all about you and I'd love all of it—" She tries to suppress a laugh but it pulls through. Everything just sinks in him.
"I'm sorry. I feel horrible. But I can't give you what I don't have. If you're ever back in town, I'll be here."
He scoffs, "You just want money." He feels bad. He's being a bit of an asshole but he's hurt. It pours over him all over again.
"Yeah," she admits, "doesn't everybody? I truly did have a nice time but I have a feeling you'll find a girl and you won't need any of this."
It makes him feel a little better like the whole thing wasn't made up in his head. Still, he's lost, annoyed, and he fucking hates this feeling. This loneliness that covers him. This was just supposed to be a fuck. If he wanted rejection he could have gone to a fucking pub or called up his ex-girlfriend but, no, he had to go too far in and believe some fantasy.
"I'm sorry," he says.
She frowns at him. "There's no reason to be sorry. These things happen. You're a great guy, I can tell. You're just not my guy."
He digests this. Dry swallows the cold hard pill. He takes a deep breath and looks away. It doesn't soften the blow anymore. But he feels better knowing that he'll land on his feet. He'll get over this, eventually. He's just trapped in a hole and one day he'll crawl out of it. Even she, the whore, believes in him. "Can I have a cigarette?"
She feels bad. So, she gives him one.
*
a/n: i was kind of shocked how many ideas i had for different eras of alex at a whorehouse. i don't know when i became this dirty-minded but i blame all of you!

I think Meghan’s frustrated because her level has some pretty popular people already. It’s crowded. To be honest I think the Gaines have a large % followed by a few other target brands. She’d rather be a target brand not a tjmaxx because tjmaxx buys left over inventory that doesn’t sell. Target is still affordable and I think those in her circle are far more willingly to say they go to target than Walmart to tjmaxx. That’s what bothers her.
I also don’t think she was prepared to launch when she did. It was a quick rash reaction that felt more like turning lover an “I’m open for business sign” than anything else. Her ego got the best of her .
Yep, that's the other pitfall of being so focused on immediate gratification: you have beer goggles on. You don't see your competitors for who they really are - you only see what they have that you don't or their flaws that you think you can do better.
If Meghan really cared about Roop, she'd have paid attention to the market research that her partners (and yes, she has partners, even if no one will admit it) and WME did. That market research would have told her exactly who her competitors are, that she has one shot to get this right, and precisely what shot to take and when to take it.
And let's be honest. Her competitors aren't Gwyneth Paltrow (Goop), Reese Witherspoon (Kohls), and Martha Stewart (Macys, Penneys, and Amazon). They aren't even the Gaines/Magnolia (Target), Pioneer Woman (Walmart), and Rae Dunn (TJ Maxx/HomeGoods).
Her competitors are all the other socialites out there launching their own wellness and lifestyle brands. Bravolebrities. Tiktokers. Instagram influencers. People who have such a niche fanbase from 5 minutes in the spotlight with print-on-demand merch. In effect, personality-driven brands that lack substance.
And those brands don't usually do well, because they always overshoot their market and target the wrong audience. There's nothing wrong with being a TJX brand or a department store brand or a "Middle America" brand. Plenty of people have made really good fortunes and livings from it, but only because they were realistic and clear about their expectations and knew it would take time to get the empire they wanted.
And since anon mentioned The Gaines, I have a feeling that's who Meghan intends to come after. They're in Texas (where the Sussexes have been spending time). Tall, leggy, thick-bouncy-dark brown/black hair-for-days, biracial homemaker guru wife with a doofus goofy ginger husband. Their brand (Magnolia Home) is a kind of rustic, vintage, comfort memory that ARO/Roop's video mimicked. They've got that kind of ordinary everyday Americanness that (kind of) competes with William and Kate's kind of ordinary everyday Britishness that Meghan couldn't break.
But here's the thing about Chip and Joanna. They didn't just pop up out of nowhere. I know it feels like they did, but they didn't. They put 10 years of blood and sweat equity into the Waco (Texas) home construction and design world before HGTV even knew that they existed. What has Meghan done that's even comparable? Sure, she got her own doofus ginger but that's it. That's where the comparisons end. And honestly there's no comparison between Chip and Harry either, because Chip comes out ahead by a million points by just being able to replace his own burnt-out lightbulb.

At Wendy's recently I heard a guy ask for his senior discount. The girl at the register apologized and charged him less. When I asked the man what the discount was, he told me that seniors over age 55 ...get 10% off everything on the menu, every day. (But you need to ASK for your discount.)

The list is evolving and many chains are independently operated so discounts may vary at participating locations only.

tantrums
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: shauna shipman x transfem!reader
tags: sfw, fluff, age regression, mommy!shauna, having a tantrum in kohls lmao
Tumblr media
“are you gonna have a tantrum? you better not, little girl.” shauna watched you stomp your foot in the department store the two of you were in. you slightly kick a rack of hangers, making a loud noise in that part of the clothing store.
shauna sighed, grabbing your wrist and taking you out to the car. she was very ready to put you in timeout at home. you began to cry when she put you in the backseat, buckling your seatbelt. she got in and started the car, hating to hear your little fussy cries.
“when we get home, you’re going straight into timeout, little girl. am i clear?” she looked at you through the rearview mirror. you whined in response, crossing your arms and looking out the window. shauna sighed again, trying to get home as quick as she could.
she pulled into the driveway, opening the sliding door of her van to get you out of the back. she opened the front and sent you straight to the corner. but something in her couldn’t let you go into timeout. you were headed to timeout when you heard your mommy say “oh, c’mere, sweetie.”
you get scooped up into your mommy’s lap, getting a kiss on the cheek from her. “mommy’s sorry, babygirl. it’s okay.”
“i know you didn’t mean to be naughty, baby. yknow mommy forgives you.”
“thank you.” you sniffle, hiding in her neck. “you gotta tell mommy what’s wrong, alright? so she can take care of her sweet girl.” you nodded and she kissed your head this time, patting the small of your back. “good girl.” she smiled, bouncing you on her lap.

To confess your loneliness is to confess your failure as a human being. To confess would only cause others to pity and avoid you, afraid that what you have is catching. Your condition is caused by a lack of human relationship, and yet to admit to it only drives your possible rescuers farther away.
So you attempt to hide your loneliness in public, to behave, in fact, as though you have too many friends already, and thus you hope to attract people who will unwittingly save you. But it never works that way. Your condition is written all over your face, in the hunch of your shoulders, in the hollowness of your laugh. You fool no one. Believe me in this; I've tried all the tricks of the lonely man.
David Marusek, Counting Heads
Tumblr media
You and dawn are lonely. Lonely and on the street. The bakery is closed, the vendors gone, the doors shut. There are no cats in the street, which is heaped with trash. The solitary tree stands at the door of the building to greet the dawn bringing news of an eternity of no interest to anyone at this superfluous hour. You and dawn are two lonely strangers who have met against their will, without congeniality or curiosity. You know not where you are walking but retrace old footsteps until dawn pours out its kohl blue and departs. You confess that you have erred.
Mahmoud Darwish, In The Presence Of Absence

وجلس حزني تجاهي تأملني قليلاً ثم أجهش الحزن
بالبكاء وبقيت صامتة.
And my sorrow sat next to me, stared at me for a while, then it burst into tears and I remained silent.
Ghada el-Samman, unknown

The whole conviction of my life now rests upon the belief that loneliness, far from being a rare and curious phenomenon, is the central and inevitable fact of human existence.

TRAVIS (V.O.)
Loneliness has followed me all my life. The life of loneliness pursues me wherever I go: in bars, cars, coffee shops, theaters, stores, sidewalks. There is no escape. I am God's lonely man.
Taxi Driver (1976)
Tumblr media
Vincent Van Gogh, Sorrowing Old Man (At Eternity’s Gate)
It is possible to be wild and kind at the same time. It is possible to be both alone and be loved. I have known this to be true. In others. In me. To be loved. And to also still be alone.
Anis Mojgani, In The Pockets Of Small Gods
I have been trying, for some time now, to find dignity in my loneliness. I have been finding this hard to do.
Maggie Nelson, Bluets
Tumblr media
The interaction between a genetic bias and life circumstances that constitutes loneliness is generally beyond our control. However, once it is triggered, the defensive form of thinking that loneliness generates-a lonely social cognition-can make every social mole hill look like a mountain. When we are lonely we not only react more intensely to the negatives; we also experience less of a sooth ing uplift from the positives. Even when we succeed in eliciting nurturing support from a friend or a loved one, if we are feeling lonely we tend to perceive the exchange as less fulfilling than we had hoped it would be.

Please can you advise where I can get some R&M merch? I’m travelling to Orlando next year and as non American I don’t even know where to start but I know I want it all! 😁
That's awesome! I don't know which stores operate in Florida, but malls are a safe bet. Spencer's always has tons of merchandise. Other good options include Hot Topic, Charlotte Russe, Barnes and Noble and Five Below.
Definitely visit head shops if you're old enough--they're usually loaded with bootleg merchandise. "Nerdy" stores might have some items. Kohl's, Target, Walmart and other department stores often have apparel scattered around, especially in the graphic tee sections.
Rick and Morty is huge in the US, so even if you don't have those stores, you'll probably find something if you search long enough. Even gas stations occasionally have RM merchandise.

Another fav comment about the blurry ass pic was in response to the tweet you shared about L not wearing Kohls khakis... the person responded he wore them in an interview in Brazil. Really? The very same khakis? Bc I'm sure his stylist packed some department store khakis for him. 😂
They clearly aren't the same pair of pants and if that person could actually rub their 2 brain cells together they would see that lmao

Random advice from a retail shopper/employee.
Discount stores (TJMaxx, Marshall's, etc):
*Avoid non name brand stuff. The off brand/in house stuff is Forever 21/H&M quality. Don't bother. Bad stitching, pulls, small holes, low quality fabric, etc, are all typical (personal experience, ugh). You can get better stuff at Target, frankly.
*If unsure, Google to make sure what you found is a name brand!
*The name brand stuff is far more prominent in the men's department, as well as in activewear.
*Just scout juniors' for American Eagle, Levi's, and Hollister stuff. Leave the rest. The worst quality stuff is there.
*Democracy jeans are the best, even if...
*Some name brand stuff is kind of like outlet store versions (still solid, though). Look for different tags from the OGs, different insignia, etc.
*They seriously have the best cheap, reusable bags.
JCPenney:
*They literally sell the same styles year after year.
*Their flannels and leggings are really good.
*Their blouses suck. Don't bother.
*Coupons don't work on name brands (like Levi's) and clearance.
*Look online for coupon codes, before you go. Show the barcode at checkout.
Kohl's:
*Their in-house denim brands suck, and so do their flannels.
*Their blouses and hoodies are solid.
*The last two on JCPenney's list apply here, too.
Old Navy:
*Their everywear tees are amazing. So are their sweatpants.
Hollister:
*They literally have the best sweatshirts (Gap is great, too).
Target:
*They sell Bali bras for way cheaper than the department stores do.
*Avoid their burnout fabric stuff, because it's especially cheap.
*I'm pretty sure this is well known, but their bathing suits are the best.
Online:
*If you find something you like from a brand that sells on multiple vendors (like Lucky Brand, Levi's, etc), Google the product name. You might be able to find it for a cheaper price. And maybe in other colors, too.
General:
*January and February are the dead parts of the year. This is when you can get good clearance stuff.
*You can also get good clearance summer stuff from August to early October.
*If a graphic on a clothing item is shiny/feels caked on, it will crack.
*American Eagle and Maurice's are two of the very few places that typically sell x-short/x-long pants.
*If possible, splurge on shoes. They last way longer than their cheap counterparts, and you save money (and waste!).

I think we could, and should, drive all Kohl's, JCPenny's, and similar department stores to closure simply by creating a state-run khaki dispensary where you can pick up a yearly allotted fresh pair of khakis for when you have a court date or your friends are getting married or you just like dressing like a middle manager who golfs on the weekends (sicko) (pervert)

Tumblr sweatpants review
8/10 overall rating
Price: $55
Tumblr media
Image ID: black Tumblr sweatpants laid flat on a beige carpet.
Measurements
First things first: the measurements on the size chart are confusing and not super helpful. I got the 3XL (the largest size) to be safe and I'm very glad I did. This ended up being my size, though I usually can wear a 2XL in other brands. Here is a full breakdown of the pant measurements, so you can judge them for yourself. All are measured flat then doubled where applicable.
Waistband relaxed = 42 1/2in (108cm)
Waistband stretched = 52in (132 cm)
Hip = 53in (134.5cm)
Upper thigh (at crotch level) = 31 1/2in (80cm)
Calf (10 inches above bottom hem) = 17in (43cm)
Ankle = 14in (35.5cm)
Length along outseam = 46 1/2in (118cm)
Inseam = 31 1/1in (80cm)
Pocket depth = 11 3/4in (30cm) from waistband, roughly 3 1/4in (8cm) from bottom of the opening. Curved, so hard to measure.
The waistband has a bit of stretch thanks to the elastic in it, but not much. There is a functional drawstring to tighten. The material itself has minor stretch, maybe about as much as a cotton t-shirt. The ankle cuff seam has *zero* stretch. The legs are tapered in a fairly slim cut.
The legs ended up being too long for me, so I'll have to roll up the cuffs or recuff them entirely.
The sizing chart at the time of my ordering listed the waist measurement of the 3XL at 21 1/4 and the inseam at 30 3/4. There was no indication if that waist measurement was flat, doubled, anything.
Material, Construction, and Comfort
There are no material content, washing instructions, or manufacturer origin tags inside the pants. The site lists the material as "7.8-ounce, 50/50 cotton/poly fleece, Elastic, self-fabric waistband and self-fabric cuffs." This matches what I see without doing a burn test. The outer material has a smooth, slightly ribbed finish that does look and feel like a heavier t-shirt material. The inside is a fluffy poly fleece.
All seams are fully sealed in surge stitching, with a few trailing tails at joins. The drawstring is a woven flat cord. The elastic is 1 1/2in flat elastic, stitched down on top and bottom. The elastic and drawstring are both anchored at the center back, so the drawstring is not continuous and cannot be pulled out. Both are contained within the channel of the waistband, so no elastic pressing directly to the skin.
The tumblr logo is screenprinted on the left leg. It is warm and flexible, so I believe it will serve my sweatpantsy needs. I have not yet washed them, so I cannot say how they'll hold up over time.
As long as you get the right size, there should be plenty of ease for movement. If you want a more relaxed fit, maybe go a size up so long as the size range allows you to.
Overall, I'm pleased with these and do no regret buying them. The pockets are nice and deep, the pants are comfy, and they'll keep my legs warm. The quality and construction are pretty good; if you told me these were from a mid-tier department store like JcPenney or Kohls, or that they were from an athletics brand, I would believe you. I think this is reflected in the price. I'm not a huge fan of tapered legs and the pants only just fit comfortably where I prefer a much more relaxed fit.
I would love if Tumblr offered other styles and they should definitely talk to their manufacturer about increasing the size range into truly plus sized options, as I consider myself on the lower end of plus size and only fit their largest size.

Good morning!
Rate your favorite department stores, since we are aware that you do enjoy them?
Walmart. Target. Kohls. Macy’s.
Have you ever had the enjoyment of a mall experience?
Lestat here.
You seem friendly; have we met before, Anonymous?
Department stores are interesting for me, as I believe I have never really had a "mall experience" as most of the ones I have seen tend to have their most interesting stores close at around sundown.
I also feel as though the lights are quite a lot for me to handle; the creation of those awful, florescent shopping center lights is enough to drive me to the brink of insanity! They were such a mistake!
I do most of my shopping at these establishments online for obvious reasons. I really think I should take a mall trip with either @this-boy-reporter or @saint-louisdulac . Why not both? ;)
Lestat out. xoxo
