Sonic ships? Sure!

Sonic x Sally and Knuckles x Rouge, go. :)

Sonally. One of the most popular Sonic ships, and one of Sonic’s original love interests. While very sweet and wonderful at times, it’s not for me.

I get it. There is a long history with these two, and I really like Sally. However, I got more accustomed to Sonic in the games rather than Satam or Archie. He’s very different in those depictions. One of which is him being free as the wind and not being bound to a nation. The “King Sonic” in the 25/30 Years Later arcs would never happen in canon. That makes no sense.

I did watch Satam in 2023, ironically the 30th anniversary of the show, but it wasn’t until the last episode that I actually felt drawn to the ship. They do have some fun moments, but there was a of back and forth bickering on plans, or had Sally more on the side worrying about Sonic rather than actually working side by side. She did that in the final episode, and that’s when it got me. I know there’s a lot more that happened in the pre-reboot of Archie, both good and bad. Sally is the type of person that can get Sonic to slow down a bit, and that’s a good thing.

When it comes to Sonic in the pre-reboot Archie comics and Satam, that’s a solid ship. However, I think if Sally and the rest of the Freedom Fighters ever came to the games or IDW, she and Sonic would just be friends. A lot of lore differences between stories.

Knuxouge. Now this is a fun one! Rouge’s flirtaousness and Knuckles’ seriousness makes things very interesting!

They both hunt treasure, but for different reasons. While normally at odds, they work great as a team. Seeing either one of them lower their guards to help or support the other is sweet. And I love how flustered Rouge can get Knuckles, there were some great moments in Sonic X. This is a ship I support. 😊

save me, theoretical hero!😅 no but in all seriousness, here's some silly doodlez of my MHA/BNHA OC, kogarashi yukiwa, to which there is more than you might expect~! ⚛️

i consider these to be doodles because this time i tried not to dwell too much on polishing either one of them—instead of obsessing over every detail and taking ten days to even come close to rendering like i normally might haha

generally speaking, my health's been pretty bad for the past couple months so i was also mainly focused on just having fun and sharing some aspects of yukiwa's story, like the gloves she wears to help control her quirk or the sweater she wears because she's a real closed-off, private person.

Oh hooray, always glad to see new folks joining in!

And with a great little story, too! The central conceit of two scenes from two different times in the characters' lives that reflect on each other is VERY interesting, and the story does an immediately compelling job of putting the concept to work, showing a lesson learned in childhood that is applied with the help of age and experience later on. It's also REALLY full of nicely-chosen details in the writing too, not only the fun way you weave Sonic's distinctive perspective into the prose but maybe even more so how you handle the descriptive language. Things like "Tails" covered in leaves or the way Young Sally reacts at Young Sonic catching her out in their argument, the particular physicality of their interactions in the second segment and how believable it all feels...it really enriches both the emotional and thematic threads of the story in a very vivid way!

Summary: A series of moments in the lives of Sonic and Sally, showing the reflection of their childhood selves in their later relationship. The more things change, the more they realize what they had all along. D4DJ Voice Actor's and Headcanon Voice Actors.

This will be a little different than my usual VA headcanon posts because this will actually feature both canon AND headcanon VA's from this series.

The only instance where D4DJ has been dubbed in English is the first season of the anime, which primarily featured Happy Around, Peaky P-Key and Photon Maiden, and while the other units made cameos and had voiced scenes, they didn't really get the spotlight. I wanted to include all the characters in the post though, because I very quickly fell in love with this series and the storylines, and characters sing to me, pun not intended.

So this is kind of a roundup of the voice actors of the characters in English, as well as who I think would voice the characters who DON'T appear in English. The rules are the same as ever.

The most important thing to remember is that the unnoficial VA's are NOT CANON. They are HEADCANONS ONLY. It’s just a hypothetical situation. If the characters were voiced, this is who I imagine would voice them.
