It’d be a lil hypocritical to not support lolicon. Besides, as long as it’s fictional and no living being is literally in the work itself, we believe it’s a-okay. Many use it to cope, others just enjoy it!

Hey there, not sure if this is the right place to send this but I wanted to mention an issue I’m having and hoped you might have some advice considering you seem to have prominence in the para community.

I am a l0licon and it’s been an issue for my best friend for awhile since she has been uncomfortable with it but recently has been coming around with the fact and is more accepting of it. Yesterday though I accidentally slipped out that I support 🗺️s (am anti-contact but support them for trying to lead normal lives against the attraction they never asked to have). She got very uncomfortable and hung up on me. I’m worried I just lost my best friend- which I’ve worried about before, like when I first told her I was a l0licon.

Besides my therapist I haven’t told, and try not to tell, anyone about my support for the para community over fear of losing them as friends. I value them all as people but know they probably would not understand/accept my views (especially considering the “pr0ship dni”s usually prevalent in their bios)

I was just wondering if you had advice on this situation. Should I wait and see if my friend comes around, or should I expect the worst? Like I said before, im not a 🗺️ myself but am in support of the community (I guess you could say im a ficto🗺️?)

I know how hard it is to support the Para community and keep relationships, I’ve lost plenty of friends because of it. You are a wonderful, kind, understanding person for supporting our community! Honestly, about your friend? I’d personally say do both—wait and see if she comes around but be prepared for rejection. I must inform you of something, as a lolicon myself, that you are a ficto🗺️! The Para community is always happy to accept and love you, no matter what. Even if they don’t understand and reject you, we all cherish and value you as a human being and someone worthy of understanding and love.

I promise you, if she doesn’t accept that you care for other people and that you have empathy for others, we will. I can recommend @apprykitty for some positivity to make you feel cared about.

Understanding Lolisho as a FictionAlly

I will analyze lolicons to prove enjoyment of objectionable fiction does NOT reflect real life preferences. This in contrast to the Anti-Fiction myth sprouted by antis that A) fiction promotes real life attitudes, and B) enjoyment of objectionable fiction reflects real life preferences. My FictionAlly (a renaming of prohship) hypothesis is that A) fiction does NOT promote real life attitudes, and B) enjoyment of objectionable fiction does NOT reflect real life preferences.

This quote came from Manga Burikko per the Patrick W. Galbraith scholarly article cited above. With an understanding of the history of lolicon and an understanding of what Galbraith toned down, the common Anti argument that lolicon equals pedophilia is disproven. Messages like that appeared in Manga Burikko when they added lolicon (fictional manga) content during 1980s lolicon (fictional drawings) boom. Manga Burikko had real ch*ld p*; it was legal in Japan prior to 1999. But messages sent from the new lolicon boom audience led to Manga Burikko ending its run of real ch*ld p*. The real pictures were taking up pages that could be used for the loli (fictional) art. Furthermore, the lolicon boom audience disliking the irl ch*ld p* while liking the fictional content proves that fictional preferences do NOT reflect real life preferences. This applies to furries, fictional incest, fictional non-con, fictional violence, and more. Fiction is fiction. Anti-Fiction types believe that controlling or censoring fiction can be used for real life advocacy. Per the FictionAlly hypothesis, they are dead wrong.
