Re: the girl with the scissor me sign, it's. Actually a running thing in aew right now that involves 1) a tag team's real actual dad being stolen by another tag team 2) selling merch to straight men that has the phrase 'scissor me daddy ass' . Yeah idk either what's happening 🤷

8. what is the first book you remember reading yourself?

this answer is extremely unrelatable, but jussikese seitse sõpra (juss' seven friends) by silvi väljal, i must have been like 5 or 6 at the time? and i remember this because i absolutely detested this book with every fibre of my being. i've not read it since, so i have no idea why, but my anger is written into my bones

10. do you have a guilty fav?

i try not to feel guilty about what i like, but i do think of the di kim stone series by angela marsons as kind of a guilty pleasure. 's all fast paced kinda trashy police procedural vibes, which i love 🤭

15. recommend and review a book.

our wives under the sea by julia armfield, which was easily my favourite book that i read this year! it's such an achingly melancholic little book, that skirts delightfully close to horror at times, but is mostly about grief and loss and guilt, because the person you're grieving for is still there with you.

i simply adored the almost dream-like quality of the prose and the imagery presented. if anyone remembers my whining about annihilation last year, i think this book comes pretty close to delivering what i wanted from that story.

It’s from the same team as journey and flower though! Journey gives you another player who plays at the same time, but I .. don’t think that always happens ? It’s a super pretty game tho, lots to explore

My fave is still abzu though, it also has some people from the same crew I’m pretty sure, but they’re under a different company. In abzu you get to explore the oceans!!

sky IS super pretty, i'm very much enjoying the visuals and the soundtrack so far, it's really just the multiplayer thing that's tripping me up rn fjiewoaf (that and i wish i had a MAP but that's a personal problem lolololol)

i'm playing sky on Switch and i know it was a mobile game first! i just searched Steam and i didn't see it :( full name is Sky: Children of the Light by thatgamecompany, if you wanna look!! it's free so if you can find it, it's worth giving it a shot, nothing to lose!!

Top 5 fragrances?

1. Mugler Angel (edt)

I have the comet bottle and I still haven't tried the current formulation or any edp for that matter. It's just very memorable, It was my signature for a while in my late teens. I just love how hedonistic it is, as the mother of all gourmands. Made me fall in love with patchouli. It's referenced constantly but I don't think there's anything out there that really compares.

2. Rochas Tocade

My namesake... It's very easy to approach, it's like an ambery powdered-sugar thing for me. Rose is a listed note and many compare it to turkish delight but I don't get it much, maybe something rose water-esque and green in the background. I like it because I keep noticing new things in it ever so often... It's special to me because it kind of awoke my interest in fragrances again, I wanted to get it because I remembered my mom owning a bottle during my childhood and googling it I found out it was originally brought out on my birth year. I have the 2018 version.

3. Etat Libre d'Orange Divin' Enfant

My newest favourite. I find it hard to describe but it constantly makes me go "what's that lovely smell..... WAIT, it's me". If I had to pick one fragrance to wear on the daily, atm I'd go with this one. I bought it because @fruitchouli compared it to Lush Sikkim Girls and that's one of my favourites, this one's more subtle.

4. Lush Sikkim Girls

The naming is kinda sus but the scent itself is just.... like there's this old Yardley perfume ad with the tag line: "A new way to burn incense. You're the fire." and that's LITERALLY what this smells like. Recently discontinued and I suspect they might bring it back in the more expensive perfume line.... Anyway I wanted to try it specifically because ppl said it made them smell like they were burning and I found that really fascinating. It's like a sweet smoke smell.

5. Alkemia Perfumes Fetish

So this is an indie brand on Etsy and this perfume oil is actually discontinued. They do sell custom blends, I think, so it should be possible to request the same type of scent from them. Anyway, it's the best leather perfume I've ever tried. It just smells like roses & leather which is, of course, very me. The shipping & taxes when buying from the US costs an absurd amount though.
