yesterday the podiatrist took off my cast and told me to start using my boot, i guess with the expectation that i would be able to walk around. not sure if they took my cast off too early or if maybe i’m just being a baby, but i can barely put weight on my foot, much less walk around on it 😔

aaaand it was shit. we were charged by an aggressive off leash doodle whose owner swears it just wants to play, but you know it was snarling at my dogs as they dragged me and my scooter up a hill and through your yard, bleeding. so thats just great.

i really need a wheelchair. and i furthermore need to let myself need a wheelchair. i don't think i've internalized the fact that i can just. advocate for myself. i don't need to wait for a doctor to say "damn you're in a lot of pain a lot of the time, it might help for you to be able to sit down some days" i can make that call myself. even though my mobility issues are (supposedly) temporary, i'm in pain now. i should be able to alleviate it now.
#the only issue is *getting* the wheelchair#but there's a couple places we might be able to get secondhand mobility aids for cheap#cuz no matter what style of crutch or walker i use it is hell on my shoulders and the knee scooter was bad for my hips
