It was your typical Sunday movie night, a comforting routine before the reality of work awaited you both the next day.

You and your boyfriend had a tradition of keeping the night lively, so why not indulge in your favorite takeout?

“Hey babe? Where should we order from?” you called out from your cozy spot on the couch.

He peeked out from the cabinet, taking a moment to think before he replied,

“I’m easy; you know what I like.” He walked over, setting down two wine glasses.

“You wanna drink wine? It better not have alcohol, I’ve got work tomorrow y’know?”

He rolled his eyes playfully as he settled next to you.

“I’m not that childish…”

“Right, right. Anyway, quiet now; I’m ordering Chinese.”

He waited patiently, the sound of your phone ringing filling the space as he focused on pouring wine for both of you.

“Oh, and can I get the…”

His thoughts drifted until you gently poked him, signaling for his order. He quickly chimed in, and you continued,

“Ah..yeah, Sorry about that. My husband would like the special fried rice, no peas, please. That’s it, thank you! Bye!”

The type to not even realise it

You wore that familiar mischievous grin, the one that always hinted at your scheming, but when you glanced at your boyfriend, he seemed completely unfazed.

Instead, he was busy scrolling through movie options, casually asking for your thoughts.

..is he deaf or something?

You had even stressed the "husband" part, and this was his response?

You would be lying if you said you didn’t feel disappointed, and sort of offended!

With a scoff, you leaned back on the couch, arms wrapped around your legs.

This caused him to look at you.

“Baby, you alright?”

“Peachy.” you replied, though you were anything but.

How could he not have picked up on what you said? You had made it so clear, and now he was unintentionally ruining your plans.

You let out a heavy sigh, making sure he heard it.

“…what did I do now?”

“Oh nothing..”

The truth was, that was exactly why you felt upset—because he had done nothing. No reaction whatsoever.

But maybe it was just a misunderstanding; perhaps he hadn’t heard you.

Maybe you just needed to rephrase it.

“I heard this movie was good, you wanna watch it?”

“Sure, I’d love to, hubby.”

he reaches his arm out pulling you closer to him.

“Cool, I’ve actually had it on my mind for quite some time”

Okay this is just stupid.

There was NO way he hadn’t noticed your earlier comment.

It was painfully obvious, and it felt cringeworthy that he missed it. Maybe he was just playing dumb.

“Babe.”

“Yeah?”

“Can you repeat what I said like 2 seconds ago?”

“Um, okay..you said, ‘sure I’d love to, hubby’…” He blinked at you, clearly confused. “why do I need to repeat that?”

“Oh, just curious. Can you say the last word of that sentence?”

“Hubby?”

Suddenly, it clicked for him, and you could see the blush creeping onto his cheeks.

“Oohh…”

“Yeah, oh.”

“Y-you called me your husband, huh?”

“Yep, I did.”

“That’s cute, but I’m still your boyfriend, baby.”

He’s genuinely very confused and making it painfully obvious with the look he’s giving you.

At least, not yet… wait, are you actually thinking of proposing to him?! The very idea sends a jolt of panic through him.

He can’t let you take the lead on that!

Sure, ordering food might feel like a proposal in some bizarre universe, but if you were to pop the question instead of him, it would be a blow to his manhood , and he needs that manhood intact!

“I’m not your husband.” He insists.

“I didn’t say you were my husband”

“Y-yes you did! I just heard you say it!” His voice rises slightly, a hint of desperation creeping in as he tries to make sense of the situation.

“Maybe it was the wind..” you say with a casual shrug, lifting the wine glass from the table and taking a sip, as if the whole conversation is nothing more than a lighthearted joke.

He shoots you a glare, his brows furrowing in annoyance. “Stop messing with me.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about…” you reply, feigning innocence, but the playful smirk on your lips gives you away.

“Oh, you know exactly what I mean! Y-you, I—ugh.”

“Look, it was just a slip of the tongue,” you say, trying to diffuse the tension, but the glimmer of mischief in your eyes suggests you’re enjoying this far too much.

“A slip of the tongue? You just casually referred to me as your husband. That’s not something you just slip into conversation.”

“Maybe I was just testing the waters,” you tease, leaning back into the couch, your expression playful yet challenging.

“Woman, you better watch it before I test yours”

“What does that even mean?”

“You wanna find out?”

You find out in the end yippee.

The type to be REALLY giddy about it

Honestly, he could have made an effort to contain his excitement a bit. But like a puppy with its tail wagging in pure joy he’s just so incredibly thrilled to hear you refer to him as your husband.

The way his eyes light up at the sound of those words is almost infectious, and you can’t help but smile at his enthusiasm.

“Baby..” he start, his voice a mix of eagerness and anticipation.

He’s completely lost in the moment, no longer focused on choosing a movie; that thought has faded to the background, overshadowed by the warmth of your connection.

“Yeah?”

“Say it again.”

His request is almost a whisper, but the intensity behind it is palpable.

He’s practically glowing, leaning in closer, invading your personal space with an eagerness; the way he looked at you, with those wide, adoring eyes that make your heart flutter.

“…say what again?" you tease, a playful smirk dancing on your lips.

You know exactly what he wants, but you can’t resist the urge to draw it out a little longer.

“Y’know..come on, say it baby, please?”

His voice is laced with a mix of desperation and delight, and you can see the way his cheeks flush with excitement.

It’s as if the very idea of being called your husband fills him with a joy that he can hardly contain.

You take a moment, letting the silence stretch between you, enjoying the way he leaned in even closer, his breath warm against your skin.

Eventually, you relent, your heart swelling with affection.

“You mean me calling you my husband?”

“God, I love the sound of that,” he breathes, his smile widening as he pulls you into a tight embrace burning his face in between your neck inhaling your scent.

“You should call me that all the time baby..”

“Y’know… I could if we got married.”

It’s as if time has momentarily frozen, and he’s caught in a loop, replaying your statement over and over.

Is his brain playing tricks on him? Surely, he heard you right, didn’t he?

The weight of the moment presses down on him, and he can’t shake the feeling that something monumental has just been said.

Is it just him, or is the temperature rising in this room?

The air feels thick, almost suffocating, and beads of sweat begin to form on his brow.

Is he coming down with something?

Why is he feeling so flushed, his cheeks burning as if he’s just sprinted a mile?

“You…” he stammers, searching for the right words, but they elude him.

“Babe?”

Silence hangs in the air, a palpable tension that seems to stretch on indefinitely.

“…Baby?”

Still, no answer. The worry in your voice deepens, in response to his silence.

“Dude, are you alright?” You inquire again, giving him a gentle shake, hoping to break through the fog that seems to envelop him.

He doesn’t even glance your way, lost in his own thoughts, wrapped up in a world of his own.

You can’t help but feel a twinge of concern—did calling him your husband really trigger all of this?

“Tomorrow.”

“The hell you talking about?”

“We’re getting getting married tomorrow.”

“..what.”

He’s lost all sense of time because of you.

Omg, these headcanons are so good. I was even about to add my own previous rants about this exact crossover until I saw you already linked my post about Akashi and Kaidou LMFAO. I'm honored, I thought nobody noticed it when I posted it a couple months ago.

To add to this, Akashi would definitely make Saiki go crazy because he's actually a very decent and kind person and also way less obnoxious than his other friends, but because Akashi is so popular and Saiki doesn't want to attract attention, he'd avoid Akashi like the plague. And yet somehow, he always ends up running into Akashi at the worst times. I'd think that after enough run-ins Saiki gives up trying to run away and eventually gets used to Akashi, and they end up bonding over specific interests, I'm thinking desserts since it seems like they both canonically have a sweet tooth. Imagine both of them running into each other at the same cafe and then trying out the coffee jelly together. But the Oreshi-Bokushi conversations would confuse tf out of him and sometimes he would wear that germanium ring so he doesn't hear Akashi's thoughts anymore because clearly there's context to those internal conversations that Saiki is missing but he doesn't want to intrude.

Akashi and Hairo would be a funny duo, too, because like you said, Hairo would keep inviting Akashi to do sports and Akashi is really good at basketball to the point where nobody (including Hairo) can beat him. So then Akashi would become a rival for Hairo the way that Hairo made Nendo his rival, and like Nendo, Akashi has no idea that Hairo has done this so he just carries on as usual while Hairo is constantly looking up to him in admiration.

Akashi and Saiko knowing each other from their fathers' business functions is perfect. However, since Akashi really doesn't care for the extravagant lifestyle and just wants to be treated as a normal high schooler, Saiko doesn't understand why Akashi declines to use a driver to go to and from school, or why Akashi doesn't constantly come to class wearing brand name everything, or why Akashi doesn't take other classmates to his mansion to show off. So, Saiko respects Akashi since he's wealthy but Akashi doesn't respect Saiko because he's always doing things in a dishonest sleazy way and Akashi is someone who believes in hard work and dedication to achieve results. Compared to everyone else in the class who easily bends to Saiko's whims when he waves a stack of money in their faces, Akashi is unaffected because A) he also has money so he doesn't need Saiko's, and B) he wouldn't take a bribe from Saiko anyway even if he wasn't wealthy. Saiki sees the way Akashi can put Saiko in his place so easily and likes Akashi even more for that.

I also love the idea of Akashi and Teruhashi being friends. Both are perfect except Teruhashi is secretly arrogant about it while Akashi is humble both on the inside and the out. Yet they both attract the same amount of attention in school because of how they carry themselves. But since Teruhashi only likes Saiki, Akashi is just a bestie to her. Her brother just sees a boy and immediately goes into attack mode, though, so Teruhashi constantly has to keep her brother in check for his hostility toward Akashi because Akashi is getting cornered by this loser like every other day and being told to stay away from her. I bet one evening after Akashi's had a long and exhausting day at school, her brother catches him at a very bad time and it's the one and only instance where Akashi counters Makoto's threats with threats of his own. He would hint at just how influential the Akashi family is in Japan and that no matter how much money Makoto earns from acting, it would never save him from the lawsuits that would hit him for threatening the son of Akashi Masaomi and that he should watch his back from here on out. After that, Teruhashi is pleasantly surprised when her brother stops bugging the two of them when they're hanging out and wonders what happened. And Akashi innocently shrugs his shoulders and simply says "Who knows?" He knows.

Back to my original headcanons about Akashi and Kaidou, they would very much bond over several things related to their family lives, and Kaidou's mom would push Kadiou further into being friends with Akashi because of what an exemplary student he is and also because Masaomi is a successful business owner and she wants her son to network with that type of crowd, but Akashi and Kaidou would genuinely bond when they hang out. However, Akashi has no idea what Kadiou talks about whenever he mentions Dark Reunion. Kaidou would go on and on about how he was a former soldier for them and how his power is now sealed in his hand, but Akashi doesn't ever make fun of him for it. When other people ask how Akashi can stand there and listen to Kaidou talk about this stuff all day, he answers that he knows someone from middle school who has their own obscure things that they believe in (he's talking about Midorima).

Anyway, I'm glad people are talking about this crossover more. I once had an idea way back when I was in my late teens maybe about an AU where Saiki's power-inhibiting antenna gets damaged or removed while he's sleeping and he accidentally switches bodies with Akashi and the whole story is them getting used to their new bodies/lifestyles while also figuring out how they can switch back. But I didn't find time to create a proper plotline and so I put it on the back burner. But maybe I can save it for when I'm done with my other KNB fics.

I talked about this in the ask thingy but it was too interesting so I decided to make a separate post about it.

Akashi would be way to extraordinary for Saiki and hes friends with Kokomi. I also think it would be really funny if Saiki used telapathy and heard Bokushi and Oreshi conversing in his head. He would be flabbergasted imo

I also want to see the showdown between Kokomi "gods favourite" Teruhashi and Akashi "I am absolute" seijuro. Akashi would definitely be the perfect pretty boy of the school. He would have a version of the Kokomins as well lmao.

He would definitely be a gentleman to her and would probably protect her from her creepy brother.

People(aka Nendo) would mistake Akashi for Saiki and Saiki would be pissed lmfao.

Can you imagine a scenario in which akashi and saiki play rock paper scissors? Akashi obviously uses his emperor eye and saiki reads his mind but both of them keep finding out what the other is going to do.So they keep changing their signa until the last seconed.

Now I dont really know who would win in this scenario but it would be so funny if it was a draw. Neither of them have ever lost in a rock papet scissors game before so both of them would be shocked.

Kusuke sees this and is infront of them in 2 seconds flat because even he has never gotten a draw with kusuo. He asks akashi whether he can fiddle with his brain a bit and akashi politely declines lmao.

His aura is probably huge as well tbh something like a cape and crown. She probably thinks akashi is her Mr. Right until she finds out his initials are S.A and not S.K

This has already been discussed in this post but yes kaidou and akashi can complain about their overbearing parents.

Hairo finds out that he is good at basketball(and a few other sports if he trys) and then never stops inviting him to practice(Akashi finds it very hard to say no to him)

I assume that the akashi corp still exists so akashi and saiko have probably met in one of their fathers business meetings(akashi is probably one of the only people that saiko respects because of his money)

“CMOOON Y/N I DON’T WANNA BE ALL BY MYSELF!!” momoi, my best friend form college, practically screamed through her phone and into my ear.

“you’ll be with your highschool friends, what will i do there? plus, i’m not in the mood to be honest…” i calmly responded. honestly why does she want me to go to that stupid party anyways. i don’t know anybody there besides her. “i can introduce you to my friends! they’re soooo nice i swear! aaaand they’re tall basketball players…” she added suggestively to try and convince me. like a group of men would convince me to do anything… “but tetsu is-“ “yours. i know momoi…” i completed her sentence while giggling a bit. she’s been talking about this ‘tetsu’ nonstop ever since i met her.

“do you have anything better to do anyways?” sounded mean but i knew she asked sincerely. “mmm not really. just cry myself to sleep and watch saiki k.” i responded nonchalantly. “goshhhh please don’t tell me you’re still crying about your ex, y/n… it’s been like AGES since you two broke up.” she whined “two weeks momoi. it’s been two weeks.” i corrected her. “MY POINT EXACTLY!!! maybe you can get your mind off of him tonight… and who knows? someone may help you with that…” she tried to cheer me up, adding a hint of mischief by the end of her sentence.

she was right, i have been digging myself in a hole for two weeks, maybe it is time to get my mind on something else… maybe someone else… just for the night.

“you know what? fuck it, i’ll go with you, but let me borrow that shiny dress of yours.” i said suddenly feeling confident. “DEAL!!” i’ll pick you up at 10. see yaaaa luv yaaaa!!” momoi replied a little too excited, making me laugh before she hung up.

maybe it’s not too bad of an idea. i haven’t been too a party in quite some time, and i’m craving vodka shots and some dancing. even some male attention wouldn’t hurt me… just to boost my ego of course.

i look at my phone. damn, almost 9pm, i should take a shower and pretend that i don’t look like shit right now. i showered, put on some sweatpants while i didn’t have momoi’s dress, did my makeup and straightened my hair. “ate.” i commented out loud looking at myself in the mirror.

9:45. i still have some time to laze around and do nothing. i started wondering how tonight would go. who even are momoi’s friends. curiosity got the best of me, so i opened instagram and started stalking through momoi’s following. i don’t really know their names, just heard of this ‘tetsu’, and momoi’s childhood friend aomine.

i typed his name into the search bar and a private account popped up. fuck, now i can’t go on with my daily dose of stalking. i take a close look at his profile picture. he’s not bad looking at all, but considering he had 2.685 followers and just 108 following, i could assume his ego was through the damn roof.

i gave up on him and look for this ‘tetsu’ boy. kuroko tetsuya was his full name apparently. another private account. why does everyone now seem to be so fucking misterious?. he had a small following and very few followers, seemed low profile. his profile picture showed him smiling with a puppy on top of his head… kinda cute.

i almost got a heart attack when my doorbell started ringing on full fucking blast. it was momoi for sure. i opened the door to my apartment seeing her in a cute black tight dress and a leather jacket. she gave me no time to say hello as she handed me the shiny dress i asked her for and told me to ‘hurry tf up cause the uber would be arriving in no time.’ i hurried to my bathroom, put on the dress, and settled for a pair of converse, since this wasn’t really formal or anything. i took my purse, my phone, and ran to the door to meet my friend there. “stunning! you’ll have all my friends drooling over you! except tetsu, he’s-“ “YOURS I KNOW! and thanks bestie, you look beautiful as well.” i laughed and thanked her.

we got off the elevator and the uber was already there. we then head off to this oh so exciting party… maybe i am excited tho.

“AOMINE COME MEET US AT THE FRONT DOOR WE’RE ALMOST THERE” momoi shouted excitedly into her screen. “jeez… okay just stop screaming into my ear for fucks sake.” the boy responded. he had a deep voice and a tired tone. kinda suits his face.

we finally arrived, when we got to ring the bell, the door opened, showing someone neither of us were expecting.

“kise?!”

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun - I’m surprised you haven’t seen/read.  It’s just a load of fun.

Kekkai Sensen - I’ve only seen the first season but it was so fun.  It’s animated by BONES if that makes a difference to you.

Arslan Senki - Ceator of FMA making a story about a prince trying to reclaim his throne? Sign me up.  The art gets me all nostalgic.

Enen no Shouboutai - This doesn’t need to be on here but it felt wrong to not include it.

Gin no Saji - Cute sol about farming? I’m in.  By the creator of FMA? I’m obsessed.

Monster - Me recing this is not a secret.

3-gatsu no Lion - It makes me feel things.  Those things are all sad.

Doukyuusei - Ngl it was boring to start but then it made me feel things and it’s really short.  Also gay.

Made in Abyss - This is genuinely horrifying but also fantastic.  Not for the squeamish. You will probably cry.

Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan - I laughed until I cried. Also has gintama cameos.

Shadows House - I hear the manga is much better but as I have not read I cannot verify.  That being said I loved the anime.  It was a fun and at times downright creepy mystery without losing all the joy sol gives me.

anime only - Either anime originals or with a source other than “manga”

GREAT PRETENDER - This is already on your ptw bc you added most of my favs but just a fun heist anime.  Technically has a manga adaptation but it’s an anime original and the adaptation is on hiatus so just watch it.

Godzilla: Singular Point - It just has really nice visuals and cute characters.  Also godzilla.

Nagi no Asukara - This made me cry.  While there is a manga adaptation, as it’s an anime original I’m not confident enough to rec it under both.

Hataraku Maou-sama! - Adapted from a light novel but has a manga version.  It’s fun and with s2 coming I expect we’ll see it on our dashes again soon. Gotta get ahead of the curve.

Itai no wa Iya nano de Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. - Fun op protagonist but in a very sol way.

K - Excuse me I’m just still thinking of yata misaki and fushimi saruhiko. Has some manga adaptions. Lost small world has a manga and that’s honestly the most important part of the series you just need the context of the main series first.

Modao Zushi - I’ve fulfilled my obligation to han.  Has a manga adaption.

Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta… - So fun.  Has a manga adaption.

Promare - It’s nonsense but so fun to look at.

manga only - Either manga only, I have not seen the adaptation, or I just think the manga is much better.

BURN THE WITCH  - While I love the anime, you need the prequel manga to make it make sense and since reading is easier for you might as well just go with that.  

Karin - I really like the anime and the anime original ending but this is how I first consumed it so this is the way I will rec.

Akame ga Kill! - I liked the anime.  The manga is better.

Owari no Seraph - I know you’ve watched the anime but the manga is so much better.  I need someone to scream with me.

Terra Formars - On indefinite hiatus.  I really enjoy this but it will slaughter all your favs. My favs are all still alive though so we good.

Choujin X - I see this on your planning.  It’s 3 chapters in but v good so far.

Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne - My favorite magical girl and one of the few without an awful age gap between the mc and the love interest.  It’s a lot of fun and I’m loving the anime so far but the angel backstories here make it worth the read rather than being interchangable.

Robot x Laserbeam - THIS DESERVES AN ANIME.  Golf manga by the creator of knb.

Tokyo Ghoul - At this point you need to just because everyone has.  It is fantastic though.

Dr. STONE reboot: Byakuya - I don’t know if you know this exists.

Sonyeowang - It’s been a while so I don’t remember it super well but it made me laugh a lot and I thought the art was pretty.

Beelzebub - I haven’t finished it and it’s been ages but I remember loving this.  It has an anime but I just haven’t gotten around to seeing it.
