my mom just had a 7cm brain tumor removed and since she's woken up she's been talking nonstop about this dream she had about going to an art gallery full of colourful paintings by a 'homosexual artist' named klimsdorf who was ethereal and wise, both young and old... at first she was convinced he was a real person but after failing to find him online she's accepted he was a figment of her subconscious mind and is now determined to bring him to life via painting his portrait herself. she's 67 and has never drawn in her life. and now this. blorbo from her tumor

I remember, when 'THINGS OLD & NEW' was announced last year, I sent this photo to my folks, because that was the only way they were going to believe there was actually a Klimsdorf exhibit happening in my hometown after like a decade and a half of radio silence from him. The whole thing was surreal. I've certainly never seen so many multi-colored artisanal dicks in one room before or since.

Regarding your klimsdorf post a while back. Could it be Etzel kolmsdorf? he was a german artist and for a good while he was painting while your mom was alive. Id describe quite a few of his paintings as colourful and despite being quite obscure there would have been quite a few exhibitions of him while you’re mum was alive especially if she lived in or visited austria or germany. Cant find any info on whether he was gay though he never married and has no kids so there’s a chance. Hope this helps

the weirdest thing abt being on tumblr is when i get one of those tumblr reading vids on my fyp and its like. i know that post. ive seen it. i was there when klimsdorf was written. i feel like a zoo animal seeing all my fellow animals be studied observed photographed. what do you know about this website.

i'm afraid i must be the bearer of bad news but that post was written months ago and she never picked up a paintbrush. but i did ask her if she remembered klimsdorf a while ago and she said 'i haven't forgotten him even for a moment'. that being said this is what i inevitably imagine when i think of him

Look, I've said it before and I'll say it again, if some random on the internet claims to be selling you an official limited edition 'Klimsdorf' NFT, then they are lying to you. NFTs are obviously already a grift in and of themselves, but Klimsdorf certainly hasn't ever released any. Ah yes, Klimsdorf...I met him in Sebastopol some few years before the Great War. I intended to study the last of the Impressionists and their esteemed descendants, but something about the Slavic cast of the region gave me a heavy heart. I saw him only once at a salon and was quite embarrassed of how poorly I was doing studying his colors. He'd have forgiven me, I'm sure...I would have killed a man to work up the courage to ask him to dance.
