The only way I can describe the Klay Thompson trade to non-basketball fans is like... ok so to put this in emo terms. Imagine if Frank Iero left MCR and then like, joined Fall Out Boy or something. And then the bands had to compete live on television to win a battle of the bands. That is what is happening to the Warriors tumblrinas this year.

Day 11 of Ode to Phoenix
Inspired by Glen's tweet about Monica
"Monica Barbaro, who's representing female aviators everywhere in Top Gun: Maverick, gave my niece her own "Phoenix" Barbie on premiere day signed "keep your beautiful fire burning bright." The impact of "Phoenix" on young women is going to be incredible to watch"
Yes indeed, Glen, yes indeed
Summary: Natasha meets Hangman's family at an open house for the base
Pairings: Single Natasha "Phoenix" Trace
A/N: What do you do when need a little more time for your future Ode to Phoenix posts? Turn to a little real life inspo, apparently. No edits just straight from my brain to the page.
Open House
Are you sure you’re not in for Six Flags?” Mash, one of the aviators from her squad, asks. Normally Natasha would be one of the first ones onboard for a day at the amusement park, but this Saturday morning she’s already dressed in her flight suit.
“Uh-uh,” she hums around the bobby pins held between her lips while she puts her hair up.
“C’mon! It’ll be fun, and we’ll have an even number.”
Natasha slides the last pin into place and checks the back of her bun in the bathroom mirror. “I can’t. I already have plans. Next time.”
Mash grumbles about having to ride by himself and lets her go. She pours herself a travel mug of coffee and checks her watch. Enough time to make a breakfast sandwich before Payback picks her up. English muffin, eggs, sausage, and cheese with Sriracha. He’s outside five minutes early, and she tosses everything in the sink to clean later before hurrying out to the car. She hands him the sandwich she made for him, knowing he’d only grabbed himself a granola bar for breakfast.
“Thanks,” he says excitedly. Natasha also passes him a paper towel so he doesn’t stain his uniform while cramming down the sandwich in four bites. She gives him a look of disgust and takes a reasonable bite of her own.
“I can’t drive and eat,” he says through a mouthful as he pulls off. “Damn, that was good, Phoenix.”
“Everything’s good with Sriracha,” she swears.
Fanboy can still smell the sandwiches when he gets in and pouts that he doesn’t get one. “Offer to drive some time,” Natasha teases, “and I’ll cook for you too.”
They get to the airfield and check-in, sliding their aviators on against the bright day. The skies are clear and the weather’s nice enough that their flight suits are comfortable. A range of aircraft is parked across the tarmac with tents set up in between for food vendors and family activities. Today is the base open house, part of the reason her squad is so eager to be elsewhere so they can avoid the traffic of military and civilian families coming to base.
But Natasha loves open houses. Getting to see children’s faces light up while they learn about what she does, hearing veterans’ service stories, or talking to families remembering their military loved ones are part of what makes her job meaningful. And there’s no moment more special than when little girls see there’s someone like them at the controls of such powerful machines.
The three of them take their time strolling toward the F/A-18 Hornet where they’ll be stationed for the day. Most of the time they’re absorbed in their own aircraft so it’s fun to get a chance to explore the others.
Her jaw nearly drops when she sees who else volunteered for the day. “Hangman! What are you doing here?” she sputters.
He grins toothily. As usual a toothpick dangles from his mouth. “I imagine the same as you, Phoenix,” he drawls. “Looking pretty for the cameras.”
She’s even more surprised to see Payback and Hangman go in for a man hug and him bump fists with Fanboy. Since when does he know her friends like that? Hangman and Payback give one another grief over their respective basketball teams and roll their eyes at her love for the Splash Brothers, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. It is not just because they're hot or because Riley Curry gives stellar post game interviews, and it's not bandwagoning when you're from the Bay.
It’s not long before they have to break off their conversation to show visitors around the aircraft. As usual, the children get excited when they see aviators who look like them. Natasha can see them tug their parents over, pointing insistently. Along with Payback, Fanboy, and Hangman, she gladly crouches and gives high fives for pictures with the kids or joins in for family photos. A little girl is so excited to see Natasha that she flings herself around her thighs for a hug.
They meet a Korean War aviator and his family and two real life Rosie the Riveters who have been friends since their days building WWII planes together.
Natasha’s waving goodbye to a commander’s family when she hears high pitched voices squeal, “Uncle Jake! Uncle Jake!”
Three children come running full speed at Hangman. The oldest, probably no more than seven, gets to him first and launches herself into his open arms. He picks her up and hugs her tightly while she wraps her legs around him like a koala. The two boys go for his waist and leg so that he looks like a climbing tree of children.
He greets them boisterously, giving the little girl a big kiss on her forehead and ruffling both boys’ hair. “How are my favorite kiddos?” he asks. They all fight to speak over one another while a blonde woman and an amiable older couple catch up to them. This must be Hangman’s family!
“Is that your plane?” the little girl asks, pointing to the Hornet.
“It’s one like it,” he tells her. “Hey, Pheebs, you want to meet that cool lady I told you about?”
The little girl nods so hard that Natasha worries she might give herself a concussion. To her shock, Hangman turns toward her. “C’mon I’m going to introduce you to Phoenix.”
And suddenly, she’s surrounded by his family who greet her as if they’ve known her for years. The older couple are his parents. The blonde woman is his sister and mother of two of the children while the third is one of their cousins. Hangman waves over Payback and Fanboy to introduce them too.
“Phoebe, this is Phoenix. Phoenix, Phoebe.”
The little girl tucks her hair behind her ear and reaches out to shake Natasha’s hand. She’s wearing a flight suit with a patch that Hangman must have given her. “Do you fly with Uncle Jake?” she asks, leaning her head shyly against her uncle’s.
“Sometimes,” Natasha smiles.
Hangman grins at his niece and sets her down. “They can’t put all the best pilots on the same squad, sweetheart.” Has he really told his family that she’s one of the best pilots? “Didn’t you have something you wanted to ask Phoenix when you met her?”
Phoebe’s face lights up, and she turns to her mother. “Mommy, can I have it please?”
Noel, his sister, reaches into the large tote on her shoulder and pulls out a small helmet. She hands it to Phoebe who presents it solemnly to Natasha. “Could you sign the helmet Uncle Jake got for me please?”
Natasha’s still trying to catch up to this new side of Hangman who beams at his family and has a cool uncle fan club. “Of course, I’d be honored,” she promises. “I don’t have a pen though so–.”
His sister is prepared and hands her a sharpie. Natasha takes it gratefully and considers what to write. She glances at Hangman who’s watching her with a strange gleam in his eyes. Trying to figure out what’s going through his head almost distracts her from what she’s supposed to be doing.
Natasha uncaps the pen with Hangman’s help and writes as neatly as she can, Phoebe, Keep your beautiful fire burning bright. With Admiration, Phoenix.”
Phoebe’s mouth drops open and the helmet nearly tumbles from her hands when Natasha returns it. The Seresins gasp excitedly at the message. “Can you read what that says, sweetie?” Noel prompts her daughter.
Phoebe reads, following her finger along the words. Hangman gently adjusts it so she doesn’t smear the still drying ink. “Phoebe. Keep your be…”
“Beautiful,” Noel supplies.
Phoebe nods. “Keep your beautiful fire bur…”
Hangman helps her out. “Keep your beautiful fire burning bright. With Admiration, Phoenix. How’s that, skittle? What do you say?”
“So cool,” Phoebe says in awe. She looks up at Natasha, even more in awe. Natasha feels her heart bursting at how adorable and sweet Phoebe is. “Thank you, Phoenix.” Welp, there go her ovaries too.
“You’re welcome. Want to see what we have to do before we take off?”
“Gotta put my helmet on first,” Phoebe says, wiggling the gear onto her head. “Okay!” And without prompting, she slips her hand into Natasha’s. “Let’s go!”
His nephews, Connor and Declan, tag along at her side.
And the soaring feeling Natasha gets as they circle the jet together is the same one she had her first time behind the controls. Sharing her love of flying with them reminds her why she does this.
Hangman's family insists on pictures with all of them and adorable one of her and Phoebe that Natasha is too shy to admit she might frame.
He's just as shy when he thanks her for being so gracious to them after they've left.
"So you think I'm the best, huh?" she asks.
He bumps her shoulder. "Don't let it go to head. I was trying to inspire children here."
Natasha waves another family over. "Too late. I'm going to take every chance to remind you that you said that about me."
Hangman doesn't look at all put out by the threat.

Who do you think are the girls' favorite players? (Because Tara might not be as into basketball but she obviously absorbed opinions by osmosis)
oohhh okay.
i think sam likes players that can take the lead on the court, that aren't afraid to risk things on their plays while also providing opportunities for their teammates, kinda reflecting on what i think she's like as a player? so shooting guards like dwayne wade (who has a similar style to what i imagine she'd wanna play like in court!) and klay thompson and point guards like chris paul and steph curry. i also wanna say she was a fan of kawhi leonard and kevin durant at one point but we don't know what happened to kevin. we don't talk about that. our very own nba nomad. and jayson tatum? very interesting to watch!
i lowkey wanna to go for the comic aspect of this and say tara admires the big guys, like she was amazed by shaq o'neal when she was little and watching the current season with sam she'd be like "yeah, that jokić guy? no joke." but tara missed out on a LOT of the nba for a few years. it was sam and her's thing, so she stopped watching it after her sister left and got back into it when sam got back, as well. i do think whenever sam praises a player, she'll automatically nod and become a fan of them. she trusts sam's opinion blindly.
#i didnt know if i focused on warriors or talked about players overall but. yeah#late 2000s shaq and dwayne combo in miami had little sam and tara shaking on their seats#also im a dwayne wade fan his early heat days are what got me into the nba so had to give him a nod#currently tho? steph curry my bro. my buddy.#praying next season is better for the warriors 🤞🤞#ask#kirbycarpenter#sam carpenter#tara carpenter#carpenter sisters#scream#ma talks scream#ma talks basketball#i think i should tag this#noticed i basically projected My favourite players onto them

Golden State Warriors underperforming, Nets surprising the NBA#Golden #State #Warriors #underperforming #Nets #surprising #NBA
It’s hard to imagine the Warriors missing out on the postseason. Just seven months ago, they hoisted the Larry O’Brien trophy after defeating the Boston Celtics in six games in the 2022 NBA Finals. It was a memorable coronation. Steph Curry was unanimously voted Finals MVP, and just after the once and current champs silenced the sea of Celtics fans at TD Garden, Klay Thompson ignored the offramp…

Klay Thompson - Another team lover.
Thanks! So, can you please right a one-shot where the reader roots for the team that are playing the final against GWS and she doesn't know what to do because she is a die-hard fan of her team and hates GWS but she also wants her boyfriend to play good. Klay understands her but deep inside he's sad that he doesn't have the full support of his girl. Then... Idk, he loses the title but the love he gets from his girl makes him okay (also seeing that she is happy for the title her team won).
A/N: I’m a New Yorker, so I picked the other team as the Knicks.
When you told people that you were dating a Golden State Warrior, most people thought you were playing around with them, but you weren’t.
You grew up in a Knick’s family. It was eat, sleep and breath Knicks. It became a family event, and it was taken more then just a game. However, every team has a rival, yet your family had it’s own rival. To be honest, you couldn’t even remember why, your family hated the team but they did. What team was that? It was Golden State Warriors.
So, when your family first met Klay for the first time, it might not have been a great meet. With time, each member of the family, grew to love Klay, despite his crappy taste in teams. As the time went on, it was taken more as a joke, then anything else. However, it sometimes got in the way of you and Klay.
“Babe. I don’t have to like your team to suppose you.” You huffed, touching your forehead.
The Warriors were in the final against the Knicks. Meaning you really wanted to go to the game, but your boyfriend disagreed.
“Do you know how it’s going to look, to have my girlfriend in the stands wearing the other teams shirt!” He didn’t want to sound like a dick but it bothered him. He already got shit from his teammates for dating a die-hard knick’s fan.
“Then I won’t go.”
Klay, rolled his eyes at your silliness.
“You’re not going to go?” He asked dryly.
“No. If I can’t wear what, I want and support the team, I want too, then I rather stay here and watch the game on the couch.” You hissed, walking into the bathroom.
“Great!” He shot back, before grabbing his bag and leaving. Deep down he knew he knew that you both were being dumb. He knew that you supported him, and he knew it wasn’t fair to make you unlike a team you grew up loving. Just because you like another team, didn’t mean anything.
*
The last few minutes, came to an end. You jumped on the couch with a yelp, scaring the shit out of your cats. You mumbled a sorry, that was followed by a laugh. Turning the tv off, you turned on music and danced around in happiness.
Klay, wasn’t ready to come home. He was still kicking himself on losing. He kept thinking of all the wrong plays, he shouldn’t have fucked up. By the time he pulled his car in the driveway, he was in a foul mood, until he got inside.
He knew you were going to be over the moon, but he didn’t think you would have the living room turned into a pile of comfy-ness.
You had pushed the couches back, in there place was piles of bulky blankets, pillows, and a pile of home cooked food.
“What’s going on?” Klay asked placing his bag and shoe by the front door. He locked the door, before getting pulled into your arms.
“I know you might not have won, but I’m still very proud of you. To show you how much, I love you, I’ve made all the comfort foods you like. We are going to eat until we can’t feel our bellies. Then we are going to cuddle the sadness and anger away, and watch every movie, you love.” You peaked his lips, and pulled him in the room. You turned off the big lights, and plugged in the string lights you had stung to give off a comfy feeling.
Klay, laid down on the fort of blankets, and watched the woman he loved move around the room. He didn’t even noticed that you were wearing one of his Warrior shirts.
“Hey.”
“Mhm?” You turned to look at him a little.
“I love you.” You smiled as you finished what you did, before going over to lay next to your love.
“I love you too.” You kissed his lips, sweetly. The fight from earlier long forgotten.
-Julianne

I'll Make It Up to You | Klay Thompson x reader
summary -> in which, Klay misses your anniversary for a game, but makes it up to you
warnings -> fluff. its just cute, he's cute.
word count -> ~600
“God Y/N, I’m so sorry.”
You go to stand right in front of Klay, who is sitting on the edge of your shared bed. “Don’t be sorry Klay. You have a game, we can celebrate another night.” You pulled him into you so he was now hugging you at the waist.
“What kind of boyfriend misses their own 3 year anniversary?” Klay mumbles into your side, making you giggle.
“How about this Klay,” You pull away so now he’s staring directly into your eyes, “Let me sit sideline at the game tomorrow and I’ll be a perfectly content girlfriend.”
“Deal.” He responds, standing up and placing a chaste kiss on your lips.
-
You arrived at Chase Center in your favorite Klay jersey, eager to show your love to your boyfriend of, as of today, 3 years. As you walk down the steps that lead to the sidelines, you pass by the commentator table where Bob Fitzgerald and Mike Breen were in deep conversation. “Hey Fitz. Hey Mike, good to see you.”
“You too Y/N, you know you’re the reason I love when Bay Area games are broadcasted on ABC.” You chuckle and begin to retreat to your seat before Fitz calls you back.
“Y/N, wait! Klay wanted me to give this to you before the game.” He hands you a large, rolled up poster board from under the table, “I think he had it made for you.”
“Really? Thanks Fitz.” You take your seat on the sidelines and begin to unravel your poster as the players begin to file out. It reads in big, bright lettering, ‘Today is our anniversary!’ with a picture of you and Klay underneath. You smile to yourself as the lights in the arena dim and the players are starting to be announced.
-
The game is tied 103-103 with 10 seconds left on the clock. Golden State just used their last timeout and are now inbounding the ball at half court. The tension in the arena was palpable. You know they’re going to try to give Curry the last shot, which means the Toronto defense will be doubling him the second the ball comes into play.
Wiggins inbounds the ball to Draymond and he brings it to the frontcourt. Just like you suspected, Curry is instantly doubled and the time is winding down quickly as Wiggins and Draymond attempt to get Curry open. 2 seconds left, and Curry is still intensely doubled, but now Klay is open at the three point line. You’re standing up at this point, shouting, “Give it to Klay!”
Draymond does a brisk bounce pass to Klay and he instantly releases the ball as it touches his hands. The arena is so loud at this point, but Breen was louder, “Thompson for three at the buzzer. To win the game- BANG!”
The ball swishes in as the final buzzer goes off and you’re jumping up and down, waving your anniversary poster. You’re screaming at the top of your lungs in pure excitement, “LET’S GO KLAY!” You begin wildly shaking your poster as the Jumbotron scans toward you. The people in the arena seem to have obviously read your sign, as they grow louder. Curry, Draymond, and Poole swarm Klay, but he searches for your eyes on the sidelines. Once you and him make eye contact, you smile your brightest smile and hold up the sign clear as day, as Klay points directly toward you, mouthing a sweet ‘I love you’.

Mís Cariños, estoy de regresó!! It feels great to write again and might I say that I had some muy delicious inspiration. Can ya tell I’ve been working on my Spanish 😉
During Black History Month, the idea came to me to drop a few fics featuring some of my favourite Black men. To show some love to my past, buried addictions. To shed light on some of the men, who are behind my simpiest of moments. To - Well, you get the point.
Lol in all seriousness, a friend of mine wanted some face claims inspo and during my digging, old feelings resurfaced and I thought, why not write a few. Well, a few turned into twelve beloveds 🥴
And I wanted to post them about every other day or so during the month of February. Alas, life got in the way. And even tho the month is coming to a close, I’m gonna post em anyway, cause why the fuck the not.
NB: these are just naughty thots. I'm talking zero particles worth of a plot. I’m talking straight fucking. No angst, no fluff, just porn lmaoo. And idk what this category of writing is called tbh. Drabbles? HC’s? Imagines? Beats me, so I’ll just call this my Black Boy Joy Edition! And without further ado:
En-fucking-joy!!
Also a lil extra NB here lmao. I don’t normally do RPF, but I did not have the energy to flesh out full characters for these mens. Hell, I barely know some of the characters they play. And not to mention, not all men listed are actors, so yeah, it's gettin a lil real here. And once again: enjoy!!

just dropped a new ficlet. gonna go reread it and find fifteen typos.
the enemy of good
steph curry/klay thompson | mature, 1.4k
The truth is, Steph doesn’t all the way know how it works, or how long he can keep this going; how many times he’s allowed to have everything he needs, and then just a little more. Whether it’ll survive Klay’s recovery, another championship, another three seasons. He can’t imagine he’ll be allowed to keep this after he retires, when there are no more backbreaking schedules, no more road trips, nothing to pull him away from home.

Kind of Love | Trayce Thompson
❝ You give me that can’t-eat, can’t-sleep, reach-for-the-stars,
over-the-fence, world-series kind of love. ❞
Requested, I hope you like it!
Imagine - You and Trayce get invited to one of Klay’s games up in San Francisco. Little did you know, Trayce hand the whole thing planned out all along with a surprise for you.
“Ten seconds on the clock, Warriors down by two... Durant to Thompson and she shoots and he....
SCORES!”
You shot up from your couch cheering in pride and relief. What many people didn’t know was that you were always a basketball fanatic. Much like hockey and soccer the thrilling action never stopped. It kept the anticipation going, the crowd on their toes and the excitement surging through their veins til’ the last second.
Then there was baseball.
Baseball was a unique sport. It didn’t have the non-stop action that other sports had, however it had suspense. You enjoyed watching the game as well. It just so happens that the man you love played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team you grew up rooting for.
“I’m gonna take it as a yes you love basketball.” Ever since Trayce found your not-so-secret obsession with the sport he spoiled you with basketball dates. Even when he had game the next day he took you to the bar where the two of you first met at the corner just to watch. Whenever he shared the story of his first impression on you was that, and he recalls the loudest and craziest woman he has ever met. You were grateful for him really, any of your other boyfriends would’ve flaked out by now.
But Trayce stayed.
Trayce loved you as if he saw a long future with his girl. He was never afraid of showing you off because he wanted to let the world know how lucky he was to have you, and you weren’t afraid to show it either. Deep down he wanted to ask the multimillion dollar question but he just didn’t know how. He wanted to make it perfect for you.
At first he was self-conscious about himself deeming that you shouldn’t waste your time on a scrub like him. From the moment you saw him you couldn’t look away. It was the kind of love you two had that just felt right all the time.
It was the kind of love that you never fell out of.
It was the kind of love that you both adored.
It was the kind of love that you both wanted,
It was the kind of love that you both needed,
And it was the kind of love you both deserved.
So just like any other brother Klay wanted to help Trayce out.
“You sure I don’t look too much in this?” You asked Trayce, adjusting the royal blue romper he gave you last month. You were all set to go to Klay’s game with sweats, slides and a Thompson jersey but Trayce insisted that he would take you out for diner afterwards.
“I think you look beautiful.” You frowned.
“You didn’t even look!”
“I don’t have too!” He pecked your cheek and you rolled your eyes, following him out the door.
What did you do to deserve him?
“Klay really hooked us up.” You admired the front line bench tickets that were given to Trayce by his brother a few days ago. It was yours and Trayce’s five year anniversary, and Trayce wanted to do something special for you.
If only you knew what he really meant.
You two arrived at Oracle Arena thirty minutes before the game, so you both headed down to talk with Trayce’s family and teammates. The family accepted you if you were part of the family, and Klay’s teammates were really close with you as well.
“Square up shortie!” Klay teased you with the ball.
“If you don’t shut up I will slap that goatee off your face.”
“Like you did with my brothers hair?”
“Oh, that’s just mean.” It really struck you when people made fun of Trayce especially because that wasn’t his year in the majors. Regardless of his nightmares and thoughts of you leaving him, you ensured him that you will love him no matter what.
“I wish I had a relationship that strong. You guys are goals.” Klay told you. You gave him knuckles and wished him good luck, but you knew he didn’t need it.
“Do you want-”
“Not now baby.”
“Are you-”
“TRAYCE! NOT NOW!” You didn’t mean to yell, but the Warriors were trailing 65-60 and there was a minute left on the clock. You didn’t realize it but you were crushing Trayce’s hand, ironically because his is much significantly larger than yours. Your right foot shook rapidly.
“C’mon... C’mon.”
And then a miracle happened. Within the minuet Curry tied the game and Klay scored the winning shot. You cheered, the crowd roaring and chanting his name.
If only you knew what would happen moments later.
“Hello, I just want to make this announcement...” Klay started, panting a bit. Once everyone was settled down he continued.
“I just want to dedicate this game to by baby bro Trayce, you may know him from the Dodgers...” Surprisingly the majority of the crowd cheered. Most likely Klay’s doing.
“Now this isn’t about basketball. This isn’t about baseball, no this is about family.” You looked confused, wondering where Trayce took off to.
“(Y/F/N).” Would you please come here.” You froze, all eyes and cameras were on you. You almost tripped over your own feet.
What was Klay doing?
“What are you-”
“Now this girl is special. She is special to me, special to my family and most of all...” he paused, voice cracking as tears formed his eyes.
“She is special to my baby brother, Trayce.” With that Klay placed the mic down and appeared the whole team from behind them, dressed head to toe in white. You could tell they were struggling to keep straight faces, and had objects behind their backs.
“(Y/N)” You heard the voice you fell in love with five years ago, the voice that brought you joy everyday.
“(Y/N), I know I’m not perfect. But you embrace my flaws. All of your imperfections make you even more perfect. Words cannot even begin to describe how much you mean to me. How much I love you. You’ve been there. Through Chicago to Los Angeles, you have been with me through it all. And I am blessed to have it all, because I am so lucky to have you, my everything.
We’ve gone through this journey, hitting a few speed bumps down the road but I want to finish it with you til’ the end of the line. You give me that can’t-eat, can’t-sleep, reach-for-the-stars, over-the-fence, world-series kind of love.” At this point the team held white colored basketballs with black stickers, all spelling out something.
W I L L Y O U M A R R Y M E ?
At the end stood Trayce dressed in a white tux with a nervous smile, holding your favorite flowers. He knelt down onto the floor which was covered in white flower petals, and revealed the most beautiful ring ever.
This was everything you dreamt it would be.
Everything and more.
You were lost for words. You were crying but overjoyed. Your guys’ song played through the stadium. You felt all sorts of emotions all at once.
“Y-YES!” you choked out, and if it was even more possible Trayce’s smile widened and his eyes were brighter than the moon.
He was going to get his future with you.
Without hesitation your fiancé slid the ring on your finger. As beautiful as it was you couldn’t have cared less about a rock. You were going to marry this man.
White balloons and confetti flew down onto you both, roars of applauses and whistles enlightened the room. You embraced your world, never letting go.
“This was all you?” You asked Klay, eyes still swollen and puffy from crying.
“Oh, no. That was all him.”
You gave him a huge hug, used to the smell of salt and gatorade by now He smiled, knowing that his brother was in good hands.
And you knew it too.
Because it was just that kind of love.

Free Throws
Lisa tried another throw and again the ball didn´t hit the hoop.
- Damn it!
She cursed the world before taking a sip of water. Laying on the floor now, the young woman was looking at the ceiling, frustrated. Sure, she could ask her brother for help, but Lisa was too proud of herself to do that. While thinking, she noticed a ball flying over her and splashing into the hoop.
Standing on her feet, Lisa saw the one who made a perfect three-point from the middle of the court.
- Son of a bitch. You had to make it, hadn´t you?
The number 11 of the Golden State Warriors smiled.
- Of course. I have to show my superiority in front of other mortals.
- Oh I see. Just like the last game when you made 2 out of 9 three-points throws?
- Yeah. I was tired of getting them all right.
They laughed and then Klay went to pick up the ball.
- Come. I´m going to help you.
- Okay.
He stood on the free-throw line, holding the ball. When she reached him, he started to talk.
- So, you are going to throw the ball from here at first. Then, you´ll get further and further away as you make the shoots, alright?
- Alright.
Lisa made a perfect free-throw. She took a step back and tried again. This time, the ball hits the hoop and only after some spins, it falls on the basket.
Another step back and the ball hit the hoop, going straight back to her hand. She takes a long breath while closing her eyes. Klay walk to her and takes the ball.
- It was a good shoot.
Lisa looks at him, with her eyes saying are you serious? Don´t you mess with me
- I´m serious. See, your sight is fine although it can get better. Besides that, all your throw need is more height.
He puts the ball in her hand and says:
- Ok. Pretend to throw the ball, just be on the right position.
Lisa does as told while Thompson takes a look at her.
- Here. It´s better if you place your hands like this.
He moves her hands with his own. Standing in front of her, they look at each other eyes.
Lisa drops the ball in the floor as they get closer. He takes her hands when a kiss is started between them.
After the kiss is over, both of them smile.

So, this is the first imagine I post online. Since English isn´t my mother tongue, I apologize for any mistakes I made. Anyway, hope you enjoyed it ^^

The all-time starting five for every NBA Western Conference team
What if the Splash Bros. had Wilt Chamberlain playing center? How many titles would the Lakers have won if Magic Johnson was running the break with Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal? Imagine Hakeem Olajuwon and James Hardenteaming up in Clutch City.
We asked our NBA writers to come up with an all-time starting five for every current NBA franchise, along with one additional blast from the past. Only a player's contributions during his time with that franchise were considered. (So, no, LeBron James doesn't crack the Lakers' all-time list ... yet.)
In this era of "positionless" basketball, traditional positions don't matter quite as much as they used to, so we allowed some flexibility in choosing a lineup -- but you won't see teams with four centers or three point guards. The idea was to dive into each team's history and create a group that could at least potentially share the floor together.
We rolled out the Eastern Conference on Wednesday. Here is the Western Conference:
Dallas Mavericks
G: Derek Harper G: Jason Terry G: Rolando Blackman F: Mark Aguirre F: Dirk Nowitzki
Terry joins Nowitzki as the only players on both of the Mavs' Finals teams and was the second-leading scorer on both squads. There's a reason Harper and Blackman, the backcourt for some good teams that just couldn't get past the Showtime Lakers, have their numbers in the American Airlines Center rafters. Aguirre's jersey probably won't ever be retired in Dallas because of his bitter departure, but you can't dismiss his 24.6 points per game in eight seasons with the Mavs.
The toughest cuts: Michael Finley and Jason Kidd, one of whom helped a young German kid find his way in the NBA and the other who helped Nowitzki finally deliver a title to Dallas.
-- Tim MacMahon
Denver Nuggets
G: Fat Lever G: David Thompson F: Alex English F: Carmelo Anthony C: Dikembe Mutombo
You're probably asking yourself the same question I debated for roughly 48 hours: Wait, no Nikola Jokic? There's a good chance Jokic eventually becomes the greatest player in franchise history, but he's just 25 years old.
EDITOR'S PICKS
Which active players are headed to the Hall? Our choice for every NBA team
Game Changers: Ranking the 100 most influential NBA players ever
Mutombo, on the other hand, is a Hall of Famer and produced probably the most iconic image in franchise history, celebrating the historic upset of the top-seeded Seattle SuperSonics in the 1994 playoffs. Mutombo is the defensive anchor behind a pure scoring lineup that could outgun just about anybody.
English, Anthony and Thompson all averaged better than 20 points a game for their careers, but at their peaks were pushing 30 PPG. Add in a floor general like Lafayette "Fat" Lever to pull the strings, and it could work. Between Fat, Melo and Dikembe, the Nuggets can outname just about anybody, too.
-- Royce Young
Golden State Warriors
G: Stephen Curry G: Klay Thompson F: Kevin Durant F: Draymond Green C: Wilt Chamberlain
Adding Chamberlain to the Durant-era Warriors teams that won back-to-back titles would just be unfair. Can you even imagine how dominant that team would be? Curry, Thompson, Durant and Green already have won titles together -- and now they have one of the greatest big men of all time to drop the ball to down low? Unbelievable. The defense is great, the offense is otherworldly.
It's tough leaving Hall of Famers Rick Barry and Chris Mullin out of this group, but who would come out? Curry and Thompson form the best shooting backcourt of all time. Durant is one of the best players of his generation and Green provides the defensive intensity and glue that has propelled them for years -- plus those four already have played together. There is no stopping this team. A juggernaut for the ages.
-- Nick Friedell
The best of Steph Curry's handles
Does Steph Curry have the best handles in the NBA? Take a look at some of his best moves and decide for yourself.
Houston Rockets
G: James Harden G: Calvin Murphy F: Tracy McGrady F: Rudy Tomjanovich C: Hakeem Olajuwon
Apologies to Hall of Fame big men Elvin Hayes, Moses Malone and Yao Ming, but it's hard to get one center in the Houston lineup these days. Of course, there's no debate about the candidacy of Olajuwon, who remains the best player in franchise history, even after Harden's run of historic offensive production.
Harden is 22 points away from passing Murphy for second on the Rockets' career scoring list, so for now the flamboyant, 5-foot-9 Murphy continues to be the only player who ranks among the franchise's top two in points and assists.
Rudy T is best remembered as the Clutch City-era coach and for the brutal punch that interrupted his playing career, but he earned his spot here with five All-Star appearances during a career spent entirely in a Rockets uniform.
-- MacMahon
Flashback: The best of Harden's 2017-18 MVP season
Take a look back at James Harden's dynamic MVP season in 2017-18.
LA Clippers
G: Chris Paul F: Kawhi Leonard F: Blake Griffin F: Elton Brand C: Bob McAdoo
Paul and Griffin authored the greatest and most exciting era in Clippers basketball with Lob City. Paul spent six seasons with the Clips, was first-team All-NBA three times and led the league in assists twice during that span. Griffin was Rookie of the Year, a five-time All-Star and the exciting, above-the-rim player the franchise sorely needed.
The 74 Greatest in NBA History
In the midst of the NBA's 74th season -- currently on hold -- ESPN's experts ranked the 74 greatest in five different categories:
• Individual seasons • Jerseys | Bottom 10 • Sneakers | Bottom 10 • Transactions (since The Decision) • Players: 74-41 | 40-11 | 10-1
Brand spent seven seasons with the team and made both of his All-Star appearances as a Clipper. McAdoo started his Hall of Fame career when the franchise was in Buffalo, where he led the league in scoring three straight seasons and was MVP in 1974-75.
Leonard is just 51 games into his Clippers tenure, but his elite production already puts him on this roster. Averaging 26.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists, a healthy Leonard can further validate this choice if he can get the Clippers to the conference finals for the first time.
-- Ohm Youngmisuk
Kawhi's ridiculous moments in his first season in LA
Kawhi Leonard has been everything the LA Clippers thought he'd be when he arrived. Check out some of his season's best highlights.
Los Angeles Lakers
G: Magic Johnson G: Jerry West G: Kobe Bryant F: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar C: Shaquille O'Neal
Four of these picks were no-brainers. Johnson (fifth in career assists) teamed up with Abdul-Jabbar, the NBA's career scoring leader, to win five championships. Bryant (fourth all time in scoring) paired with O'Neal (eighth in scoring) to win three.
The fifth pick was harder. Is it Elgin Baylor, the greatest small forward in franchise history? Or how about LeBron James, the greatest small forward in NBA history? How about James Worthy, who teamed up with Magic and Kareem and won a Finals MVP?
Ultimately, the pick is West. Baylor never won a ring. James hasn't been a Laker long enough. Worthy would have to play the 4 and you already have Shaq and the Captain on the blocks. The Logo brings shooting and toughness and leadership, and he is extremely important to the franchise as a whole for his post-playing days in the front office.
-- Dave McMenamin
Memphis Grizzlies
G: Mike Conley G: Tony Allen F: Shareef Abdur-Rahim F: Zach Randolph C: Marc Gasol
The question with the Grizzlies: Who should be the final player to fill out a lineup that features the Grit 'n' Grind mainstays called the Core Four? (I'd make a joke about Chandler Parsons' max contract, but I want to be welcomed back to Memphis.)
Based purely on merit, Pau Gasol would be the pick, but he doesn't fit alongside his brother Marc at center and Randolph at power forward. So we will go with Abdur-Rahim, who was a really good player for some really bad teams in Vancouver, averaging 20.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game over five seasons in which the Grizzlies went a combined 86-292.
-- MacMahon
Minnesota Timberwolves
G: Ricky Rubio G: Sam Cassell F: Kevin Garnett F: Kevin Love C: Karl-Anthony Towns
The three best players in franchise history just all happen to be big men: Garnett, Love and Towns. Garnett is the franchise leader in points, rebounds, steals, assists and blocks; he's the only player in NBA history to lead a team in all five categories. Towns (22.7 points, 11.8 rebounds in 358 games) and Love (19.2 points, 12.2 rebounds in 364 games) each put up monster numbers, even though playoff success never came.
'The Last Dance' on ESPN
The 10-part Michael Jordan documentary "The Last Dance" is available on the ESPN App.
• Everything you need to know • Lowe: How Pippen lifted MJ's Bulls • Shelburne: Kobe and MJ's friendship • How to replay the series
(Side note: Towns is only 14 3-pointers away from becoming the franchise's all-time leader. Seriously.)
Rubio trails only Garnett in franchise history in steals and assists. Since Wally Szczerbiak and Andrew Wiggins were primarily listed as small forwards, the other guard spot goes to Cassell, who played only two years in Minnesota but had a career year and was a second-team All-NBA selection in 2003-04.
-- Andrew Lopez
New Orleans Pelicans
G: Chris Paul G: Jrue Holiday F: Jamal Mashburn F: David West C: Anthony Davis
(Just a reminder: The Pelicans' franchise history starts in 2002, when the team moved from Charlotte to New Orleans. Anything before that belongs to Charlotte, even though it's the same franchise. Got it? Cool, let's move on.)
First, the locks: Davis, Paul, Holiday and West. Now once you get to the wing ... oof. This spot came down to four players -- Mashburn, Peja Stojakovic, Eric Gordon and, yes, Brandon Ingram.
Mashburn, in the franchise's first season in New Orleans in 2002-03, made the All-Star team and was a third-team All-NBA selection. The Pelicans didn't get another All-Star selection from a wing player until this year, when Ingram made it. But with only 56 games under his belt, Ingram falls off this list. Gordon's time in New Orleans always seemed underwhelming. Stojakovic was a key cog on the 2007-08 team that won a franchise-best 56 games, but he struggled with injuries.
Mashburn was limited to 101 games for New Orleans, but his impact in Year 1 was unmistakable and he still sits second on the team's career scoring average list (21.5), behind only Davis.
-- Lopez
Oklahoma City Thunder
G: Russell Westbrook G: James Harden F: Kevin Durant F: Paul George F: Serge Ibaka
There's an irony to the Thunder's all-time starting five, because it features their best sixth man. The baggage of Harden's role looms large, whether he wanted to come off the bench, whether starting impacted his contract negotiations and ultimately facilitated the breakup of one of the greatest organically built superteams ever. That's a lot to unpack.
Hindsight and what-ifs aside, the Thunder's all-time group can stand with almost any in NBA history, and most certainly is among the most stout in the past 20 years. The Thunder have been around for just 12 years and boast a remarkable cupboard of talent: three MVPs (Durant, Westbrook, Harden) and piles of All-NBA and All-Star nods. Maybe one of the best examples of how deep they are is in showcasing who didn't make the cut: Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul. Not a bad bench.
-- Young
Phoenix Suns
G: Steve Nash G: Kevin Johnson F: Walter Davis F: Charles Barkley C: Amar'e Stoudemire
No Shawn Marion? No Paul Westphal? No Alvan Adams? No Larry Nance? No Jason Kidd? You can make a solid starting five from the next group of Phoenix legends.
NBA season suspended
The NBA announced that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2019-20 season would be suspended effective March 12.
Latest news • Sources: NBA return gaining momentum • Love: Being back at facility 'uplifting' • NBA teams get OK to test players, staff • Full list of cancellations, suspensions
The franchise's two MVP winners, Nash and Barkley, were locks. Westphal split time as a point guard and shooting guard during his six seasons, but we give the nod at the other guard spot to Johnson, who spent 12 years in Phoenix, and had three consecutive 20-point, 10-assist seasons and five All-NBA nods.
Davis vs. Marion was a tough battle. Both made a pair of All-NBA teams (two second-teams for Davis compared to two third-teams for Marion), but Davis gets the edge as the franchise's leading scorer. At center, Stoudemire stands supreme as his four All-NBA honors best Adams' longevity.
-- Lopez
Portland Trail Blazers
G: Damian Lillard G: Clyde Drexler G: Brandon Roy F: LaMarcus Aldridge C: Bill Walton
As with any conversation about Blazers history, their starting five comes with plenty of introspective sighing and deep what-iffing. Injuries to Walton and Roy abbreviated what would've been legendary Portland careers. But at their best versions, Walton was a transcendent big man with unique skills, and Roy was a gifted scorer with a knack for the moment.
Drexler is a Hall of Famer who led Portland to its best sustained run of success in franchise history. Aldridge is one of the dominant scoring big men of his era, and Lillard will likely go down as the franchise's all-time best. The Blazers are haunted by history and a compulsion to live in the anguish of what could've been, but there is also a beauty to their all-time five. It represents who they are, and forever, what they might've been.
-- Young
Lillard's top 10 deepest 3s of the 2019-20 season
Logo Lillard can't be stopped beyond the arc; check out Damian Lillard's deepest 3-pointers this season.
Sacramento Kings
G: Oscar Robertson G: Tiny Archibald F: Peja Stojakovic F: Chris Webber C: Jerry Lucas
A Hall of Fame backcourt of Robertson and Archibald knocks Kings great Mitch Richmond out of one of the two guard spots. Lucas, another Hall of Famer, averaged 19.6 points and 19.1 rebounds in six seasons with the Cincinnati Royals. He gets the center position.
For the forwards, we look at two Kings from the early 2000s, when Sacramento was a perennial playoff team. Stojakovic is still the franchise's leader in 3-pointers made, and Webber averaged 23.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in 377 career games in Sacramento.
It feels weird not to have DeMarcus Cousins on the all-time Kings squad, but when you look back at the franchise's history -- which dates back to the Rochester Royals and their first year in the NBA in 1949 -- it becomes clearer why he doesn't make the cut.
-- Lopez
San Antonio Spurs
G: Tony Parker G: Manu Ginobili F: George Gervin F: Tim Duncan C: David Robinson
ESPN Daily podcast
Monday through Friday, host Mina Kimes brings you an inside look at the most interesting stories at ESPN, as told by the top reporters and insiders on the planet. Listen
It took about as long as the average Gregg Popovich sideline interview to come up with this squad. These were all easy decisions, considering each player's combination of greatness and longevity with the Spurs. (Kawhi Leonard would have been in strong consideration if not for the lack of the latter.)
Duncan and Robinson are on the short list of MVPs who played their entire careers for one franchise. Ginobili and Parker were essential parts of a dynasty. Gervin was a must-see superstar whose presence made sure that pro basketball stuck in small-market San Antonio.
-- MacMahon
Seattle SuperSonics
G: Gary Payton G: Gus Williams F: Detlef Schrempf F: Shawn Kemp C: Jack Sikma
Payton, Kemp and Sikma, the three players to make at least five All-Star appearances in Sonics uniforms, are the three certain selections here. At the other guard spot, there are strong cases for Fred Brown (who's second in career scoring) and Ray Allen (a four-time All-Star in Seattle), but Gus Williams' key role in the Sonics' 1979 championship and pair of All-NBA picks give him the nod.
Spencer Haywood reached greater heights and Rashard Lewis had more longevity, but with the last spot I'm going with Schrempf, whose versatile and efficient game was ahead of its time in the 1990s.
-- Kevin Pelton
Utah Jazz
G: John Stockton G: Pete Maravich F: Adrian Dantley F: Karl Malone C: Rudy Gobert
The Jazz's arena is located at the intersection of Stockton and Malone, with statues of the legends prominently featured out front, so we figured those guys should make the cut. Dantley was a historically elite scorer for the Jazz, averaging 29.6 points on 56.2% shooting and winning a pair of NBA scoring titles during his seven-season tenure in Utah.
Gobert gets the nod over fellow dominant defensive anchor Mark Eaton because he's a far superior offensive player and rebounder. It was difficult not to include Darrell Griffith, aka "Dr. Dunkenstein," but Pistol Pete was too productive (25.7 points and 5.7 assists per game) with the New Orleans Jazz to be left out. Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are gathered here today for the homegoing celebration of not only The Houston Rockets as a franchise, but the title hopes of James Harden and Chris Paul, the two biggest chokers in NBA history.
Last season, when the Rockets choked and blew a 3-1 lead against the greatest dynasty the NBA has ever seen, we told anyone who would listen that it was because Chris Paul left the series with a sprained clitoris. But really, the 2019 season would redeem our failure.
The GM declared that our team was built to beat the MIGHY Golden State Warriors of Deep East Oakland, California (the greatest and most populous state in America that is not full of racists). And Clint Capela declared "we want the Warriors". So naturally, everyone is expected us to actually be competitive.
So imagine our surprise when the Warriors lost Boogie. Lost Kevin Durant. And Steph Curry was in a slump, and we found a way to lose game 5 anyway. Because that's what losers do.
But that's okay, we'd get them in game 6. Boogie was gone, Durant was gone, Steph sat out almost the entire first half, and the Houston Rockets starters were facing Klay and 4 Seasonal Workers from Walmart ON OUR HOME FLOOR and we still lost. We had every advantage to win and we did what we do best, underperform and choke.
Perhaps if we had legendary hall of famers like "Game 6" Klay Thompson and Wardell Stephen Curry, the most faithful Black Man in American history, we'd actually win a title one day.
The only silver lining in all of this is Houston won't have to suffer anymore. There's no way our GM is keeping this shit show together. Capela gets paid damn near 100 million dollars and he got outplayed by KEVON LOONEY LMAO. Looney was just some random guy the Warriors found in the parking lot of a local Men's Wearhouse franchise.
We'll keep Chris Paul tho. Because no other team is stupid enough to pay 40 million dollars a season for an old, choke-prone, flopper who's best move on the court is throwing himself on the ground and whining to refs. We will suffer with the poor contracts we gave out, just like we deserve.
PS - The Warriors will still be better than us if KD leaves. James Harden can score 60 points a game during the regular season but we all know he's Mario Chalmers with a Mohawk in the playoffs.
PPS: The best Mexican food in the United States is found in the The Bay Area.

Klay Thompson - Hard Times.
Thanks, love! Okay, I have a plot... you and Klay had a fight (jealousy?) and are barely talking and when he suffers the injury against the Raptors things get worse. He is so mad that he will be out for 8, 9 months that he ends up taking it out on you. You don't know what to do because you want to take care of him and give him some love but he's acting like an idiot and that makes you really angry. Drama, anger but with a cute ending, please!?
“OH MY GOD!” You yelled, across the room. You were feeling lost and just wanted this fight to stop. “I don’t know how many times, I have to tell you. I am not cheating on you, nor have I. I’m not even sure how I could, when you’re up my ass 24/7.”
As soon as the last words come out of your mouth, you already regretted it. The sound of the bedroom door slamming caused you to jump, followed by the slamming of the front door. You finally let a deep breath out, feeling better. You were hoping that by the time Klay got home from the game, he would finally forget the fight. But, only you were far from long.
The sound of the phone caused you to jump a little. It was too late for someone to be calling, that’s when your eyes landed on the clock under the tv. It was almost 12. Where was Klay?
Panic entered your body, as you realized that the game ended two hours ago.
“Hello?”
“Y/N.” Curry’s voice was low, and tired sounding. “I need you to open your front door.”
You nodded even though he couldn’t see. As soon as you opened the door, you hung up. Curry was pulling your boyfriend out of his car. A cast rested on your boyfriends leg. You already knew that from the look of it, he must have tore his ACL. Klay, looked loopy but you could tell was most likely from the pain meds.
Curry, placed your boyfriend in the bedroom, before coming out to talk to you. He knew that you knew what to do, but he wanted to warn you about how long Klay was to be out.
“The doctor’s say he’ll need surgery in a couple months, meaning he’s going to be out for a good amount of time.”
“How long?”
“About 8 to 9 months.” You made a unhappy face, Curry shook his head knowing that you two were thinking the same. “Yeah, I know he’s not going to be happy.”
You walked Curry to the door, thanking him, along with giving him a hug.
“If you need anything, call me.”
“Thank you. Be careful and text me when you get home.” Curry smiled, before leaving the house.
Almost nine months out. Damn, he was going to be in a mood. Klay, didn’t wake up at all until the morning, but you still didn’t sleep. You ended up staying on the couch, in case Klay was in need of something. Before he woke up, you had made some breakfast, along with coffee and the bottle of pills Curry had given you last night. Making your way into the bedroom, you were faced with an already pissing looking Klay.
“Hey babe.” You cooed. “How are you feeling?” You asked placing the pills in his hand, and handing him the coffee, before placing the plate of food on the table.
Klay took the pills, taking them, before answering you.
“How do you think I feel!” He didn’t really mean to yell, but he was mad at everything.
Not only was he dealing with the torn ACL, but he was not allowed to play for almost half the year. He hated not being able to play.
“I made you something to eat. You shouldn’t have an empty belly with the pills.”
Klay, scoffed. “Oh now you care.”
You left the room not wanting to get into again. If he was going to be in a foul mood, you were not going to be around. You got why he was mad, but you didn’t think he needed to take it out on you.
Ever two hour you checked in with Klay and handed him more pills when needed. Yet, for the most part you stayed away.
Every since time you went in the bedroom, he had some remark to say to you. It was getting so bad that you ended up calling Curry. Curry had been a really good friend to both of you and he was more then a teammate. He was family, and whenever you needed Klay to get a swift kick in the butt, you called Curry.
“Still in the bedroom?” He asked once he walked in the house.
“Yeah.” You simply said feeling happy that someone was here to help. You walked to the room first in hope to make Klay smile, but it failed like it always did.
“Great, I’m so glad you told me Y/N, not like I don’t have eye.”
Curry, could tell you were already done, and it had only been a day. He couldn’t tell if you wanted to punch Klay or cry or both. By the look of your face, he guessed you had already been crying. You left the room in a hurry, leaving Curry and Klay alone.
“What the hell man.” Curry started. He took a seat on the edge of the bed. “You are being such an ass, and all she does is care for your dumb ass.”
Klay, went to say something but Curry stopped him.
“You need to stop. I get you’re stressed and pissed about missing most of the season, but that’s not her fault. I know about the fight. I know that once you get something in your head you tend to believe it, but that girl out there loves you too much. She would never chest on you, just like you wouldn’t either.” Curry looked mad as hell as he looked at his friends face.
“She doesn’t have to be here helping you. In fact, if it was me, I would have left your ass here to fend for yourself. You’re being an ass. You need to come to terms that what happened last night was not her fault. It was yours. If you didn’t leave pissed, you wouldn’t have played so hard.”
Curry stood up walking towards the door. “You need to realized that you have it pretty good here.” With that he left the room.
Klay, sat there thinking about his friends words. He was right. He was mad at you because he blamed you, but it wasn’t your fault. If he didn’t keep pushing the fight, you wouldn’t have said what you said last night. Even after all the nasty words he said to you, you still took great care of him. You didn’t have to. You did it because you loved him and forgave him even thought he was an ass. Once Curry left Klay, came out of the room with his crutches, too see you on the couch, wrapped in a blanket like a burrito.
He watched you for a moment before, leaning over to kiss your cheek. You looked up at him with red eyes. His heart broke a little knowing that he was the cause of it.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry for last night and for how I’ve been today. I love you and I shouldn’t have done any of that. I should have just trusted you, when you said nothing happened. I shouldn’t have kept the fight going and I shouldn’t have taken this all out on you. You didn’t deserve any of it.”
You sniffled a little before opening the blanket you had wrapped around you. Klay smiled as he laid down on the couch, laying his head on your lap, while his leg dangle over the arm of the couch.
You two stayed like that most of the night, watching movies after movies and eating way too much take away.

Their Heart's Desires | Klay Thompson x reader
summary -> in which, you want to tell klay you love him for the first time, but he beats you to it
warnings -> fluff. its just cute, but short.
word count -> ~844
Klay picks you up by your waist and twirls you in the air. You squeal softly and pull your legs toward him, as to not hit one of the many people walking by the two of you to congratulate Klay. Game 2 of the Finals just ended in a close game that tied the series 1-1.
“God Y/N, that felt incredible,” Klay had a 25 point game and a huge first half that completely shifted the momentum of the team. “Job’s not done though.” He sets you down and gives you a kiss on the cheek.
“You were amazing. When you play like that, jeez you’re unbelievable.” You both chuckle before he’s pulled away by a guy wearing a Oracle pass around his neck.
“Alright, I have to go change, but meet me in the 3rd press room on the away side.” He gives you another kiss, this time on your lips, before walking off into the Raptors tunnel.
-
You’re standing in front of a door that has a sign that says “Press Room 1” on it. The door is slightly ajar so you’re able to see the many reporters sitting in front of Klay, even though you’re only able to see the back of Klay himself. You’re listening to him talk while scrolling through Twitter, liking the occasional tweet boosting Klay and his performance.
Someone suddenly grabs your shoulder from behind. You swiftly turn and are met with Steph. He pulls you into a hug that you promptly return, “Thanks for coming all the way down here. It always means so much to him when you make the away games.”
“I wouldn’t miss this,” you twirl the studded bracelet on your wrist that Klay gave you for your 3 month anniversary a couple weeks ago. “I love doing stuff like this for him.”
“The last thing I want to do is pry, but man, this is the happiest I’ve seen him in a while,” you smile at this and tilt your head down to hide your blush, “Anyway, we’re going to this nice restaurant by the hotel to celebrate before we head back to San Francisco. I’ll text Klay the address.” He shoots you a smile before walking down the hallway toward the parking garage double doors.
-
You had gotten a hotel room a few doors down from Klay because you didn’t want to make things awkward by assuming he’d let you stay in his room. So, after getting dressed in your hotel room for the team dinner, you walk down the hall and knock on Klay’s door. When he opens it, he’s wearing really expensive looking black slacks with a white button up. The button up’s sleeves are rolled halfway up his arms, emphasizing his arms muscles. He looked so perfect you can’t help but be mesmerized by him.
“Wow, you look amazing.” He takes his hand off the door and grabs your hand to guide you into his room.
“Thank you. You don’t look too bad yourself.” He gives you a sweet kiss on the lips before turning to his mirror and adjusting the belt on his pants. You’re watching him in this moment and you suddenly feel so much. So much love and appreciation for this one guy. It’s a feeling you’ve never experienced before, it’s one you never expected to feel firsthand. You’re in love. For the first time in your life, you are fully and irrevocably in love with someone.
You move towards Klay who is still standing in the mirror. You stand behind him and rest your hand on his back, but not long before he turns around and pulls your chin up to him. He leans into you and begins to kiss you with more emotion than he has before.
He moans into your mouth before pulling away, “Maybe we don’t go to dinner. What if we just stayed here?” He walks backwards slowly, pulling the both of you onto the bed.
“Steph would be. So. Pissed.” You say between kisses. Klay laughs in your mouth and you smile into his. His lips tasted like a cup of rich wine, so elegant and delicious. They were perfect, his lips, like they were made for you. You made out flawlessly as two unquestionably flawed people.
The only thing heard in the room was your lips and Klay’s lips moving in unison, but also your heart. Your heart was beating at a million miles an hour. It was screaming in ecstasy, screaming how much it loved him, everything about him. You wondered if he could hear it, but you didn’t want to live wondering. Not with Klay.
You pull away from him and stare into his eyes and he stares back into yours. You open your mouth to vocalize the wishes of your heart, but Klay cuts you off.
“I love you.”
“God Klay, I love you too.”
