Oh early seasons Jaya how sad I am that we missed out on the cutest most awkward teen moments between them for the sake of drama I'll always mourn what yall never got

I will say this though the team really nailed teenage drama. Overreactions, petty fighting over minor things, holding grudges beyond belief over nothing, the indecisiveness, the obvious but unknowing cheating, the insecurities man, acting like ur world has ended over ur first heartbreak, the love triangle in general screams children who don't understand love or dating in any sense

Even tho I don't like it I will say it's kinda accurate to how young teens handle dating LOL

PIXAL and Jay's friendship is so underrated imo. Folks either don't have them interact at all or if they do its PIXAL expressing annoyance at Jay and seeing him as incompetent and VERY little else

I think there's so much potential there beyond PIXAL just seeing Jay as an annoyance and a dumbass

Like cmon they are two capable inventors and you mean to tell me that nobody can think of any scenarios where they would bonding really well?

Imagine PIXAL being one of the only to notice Jay stopped inventing and wondering why cuz she considers him a very capable inventor

I could easily see PIXAL trying to encourage Jay to invent again too

I can easily see them having many conversations about mechanics n whatnot. Going long hours of the day just talking and brainstorming new ideas and just geeking out in general

Jay going all mad scientist with his ideas and PIXAL bearing witness to the absolutely bonker inventions he makes and wondering howww they are still alive

Jay helping PIXAL be more wild with her ideas and how she makes them while PIXAL helps Jay reign in his crazy

Together they make the coolest shit

Hope to see some Kai and Jay moments in the show cuz too many folks are convinced Kai hates Jay and I need them to show that's absolutely NOT the case

Kai may dig in on him but he cares about Jay as much as he does the others. There isn't any weird hostile relationship there

I really wish we knew exactly HOW Ed and Edna adopted Jay cuz it really makes or breaks the kinda character Libber ended up being

Cuz if they had just adopted him from a system then we know that Libber out him up for adoption before dissappearing, which bring up more questions about her relationship with Cliff and if he was In the know and of he agreed or if she just bailed amd took Jay with her, but that's not important rn

There's also a possibility they they personally knew her or knew her to an extent where she felt safe enough to leave Jay in their hands

BUT there is also a much darker and fucked up possibility that she just left Jay In the middle of the sea of sand and/or some other random place on his own with the full intention of him not being found and it was by the grace of the FSM that Ed and Edna found him

I will never forgive the writers for not exploring this cuz now its EATING at me as well likely never know and I hate it

The ninja regularly sleep in cuddle piles or just chill in cuddle piles. They are long past the point of being embarrassed about physical affection. Working as a ninja has shown them (multiple times damn these bitches got PTSD and trauma) that any of them could be taken at any point and they want to make sure each if them are aware they are wanted and loved so cuddles is a must

I dunno I just think it's cute. They are a found family who loves the cuddles your honor

The parallels between Jay's Arc rn and Nya's earlier In the series is truly something to behold

It would be so interesting if the writers had Nya and the Ninja unintentionally do to Jay what was done to her

What I mean is: Nya's Arc(I'm grossly oversimplifying here btw) In the beginning of the series was about her paving her own path and trying to deal with having little choice In the direction her destiny went. she had to give up her role as the samurai, something she chose to be on her own, to become the water ninja, something that was chosen for her. Then she had to deal with all that was season 6 having her choices essentially snatched from her

She wanted to be the one to choose how her life went. She was tired of others telling her how her life was going to go and not consult her In the slightest

That really parallels Jay's Arc in DR. As I've said before he's had very little choice in his life post merge. Under the control of the administration, while yes he did have some freedom to play video games, we saw just how strict and by the book that place is so we can presume that even with that freedom he still had tight rules he had to obey

Then he left for what he presumed to be freedom under Ras' command. But we all know that isn't true freedom. Jay was lied to, and manipulated to follow Ras' commands. Very strict commands cuz we know who Ras is. And then when he was no longer useful he was promptly tossed out

He finally thought he found some purpose only for that purpose to be snatched away, leaving him with nothing.

Now he's all on his own finally free from anyone's control and I imagine he's not very eager to listen to anyone anytime soon.

Hence why he's now gone Rogue.

Jay and Nya's Arcs are so similar to me message wise that I cannot see it as pure coincidence and I hope that it's used in an effective way

I wanna see Nya unintentionally being a hypocrite. I wanna see her so desperate to get Jay back that she doesn't even try to acknowledge who he is as of NOW In the matter. All she sees is her yin, her love who's lost and alone and needs help and she feels that being with them is the best choice so she makes that decision for him

And of course being with them is better than him being on his own. Thats his family! I know this, you know this but JAY doesn't know this nor does he care right now. And that's the point of view we have to consider cuz through it all Jay's the victim here. He's the one who forgotten everything and is trying to discover his place In the world after being controlled twice now.

All he sees is some random lady that he kinda hates and her friends insisting over and over that he come with them and to go with them. That's where his home is, screw anything else. All he sees is the same shit being spouted to him that Ras prolly did and i imagine it would be infuriating

Tbh They kind of have already started going down that route with having Nya insist that Jay belongs with them. While that is true as I said she doesn't really stop to consider Jay's feelings on the matter even if u can't really blame her

In all likely the Jay she knew would absolutely approve of what she's doing, cuz he would do the same, but that Jay isn't here rn and she's not really considering that. None of the ninja are considering that

They plan on chasing Jay down to get him to come home with them, not really considering(or ignoring) the fact that Jay wants nothing to do with them

They r ignoring his feelings for the sake of trying to get back the Jay THEY know with little consideration with what the Jay of NOW wants

They don't consider the very real potential reality that Jay may never get his memories back, that he may never be the same again cuz they don't want to consider that potential reality

Cuz how would they handle Jay then? Would they accept him as who he is? Or will they continue to search for the Jay they lost, not really caring to know the Jay that is here?

I wanna see that conflict happen, I wanan see Nya being that hypocrite. (albeit unintentionally and trying to help of course) i wanna see her be that pushy and disregarding Jay's feelings cuz she thinks that she knows better. And I want the reality that she hasn't really cared about the Jay of the current to smack her In the face, to smack them all In the face and face that reality perhaps from a new ally of Jay's(me including my huge copium) who doesn't care about his past and just sees him for who he is now

I want Nya to realize how she had been treating Jay this whole time and realize that she messed up. That in her desperation to get her love back, that she had been ignoring Jay's feelings, ignoring his words and trying to decide his life for him, without considering HIM at all, the same thing that had been done to her all those years ago

I got another headcanon on the og4 and their elements cuz fun

Kinda a continuation of this post but also kinda not. I vaguely mentioned a bond they had that was unrelated to the main headcanon, but it's not a necessary read but I still encourage it cuz the overall headcanon is fun

The og 4 are connected on a much deeper scale. A much deeper scale that none of em like but cannot do a damn thing about

Because they have the elements of creation, they originally came from the FSM and as such used to all be together. So when they were seperated into the 4 seperate elements we know today, that "bond" from once being "one" didn't leave and instead traveled into the future wielders

This means that Kai, Cole Jay and Zane all have an inherent bond with eachother that they don't have with anyone else that is directly tied to their elements. Think soulbond essentially

The urge to be around eachother, the feeling of distress and loss and dread when they aren't, that all stems from their elements seeking to be near eachtother

The bond isn't harmful physically but the emotional distress do be there

The further away they are the bigger those feelings of distress and loss etc become. The longer they r away from eachother causes those same feelings

The first time they had to be seperated for longer than a few minutes didn't go well. At all.

That was when Sensei Wu told them about the bond they share snd are unfortunately stuck with as there is no way to be rid of it. Their elements desire to be near eachother and as such act out(and therefore causes the user to act out) when they aren't.

Sensei then had to put them through another series of training sessions to get then used to not being around eachother often. He taught them many methods of calming themselves down and clearing their mind which they still use to help today

They have a much better grasp of their bond now and as such don't freak out as visibly or as bad as they used to. The urge and discomfort is always there but they have better control to not act in those urges recklessly.

Each of the ninja respond differently to being seperated as well

For Kai his temper becomes shorter and shorter. He becomes more snappish and willing to fight. Explosive essentially

Jay's anxiety gets worse and he becomes more paranoid. He's more jumpy and easy to panic. Static shock is common when he's in this state

Cole becomes clingy to an unhealthy degree. He's the one most likely to stop whatever he's doing and leave to seek out the others no matter the situation.

Zane becomes more distant. Like it seems as if he isn't fully there if that makes sense. His emotions take a huge backseat and he seems like a husk

Lloyd is lucky to not have to deal with this. Due to him having all four elements he doesn't have to worry about that feeling of dread or loss when he's separated from the others (though a part of him wishes he did so he could understand what they going through more, but at the same time hes glad he doesn't cuz hes seen how it affects them and he wants none of it)

I wanna make a diagram to show the bond on a visual scale bit that will have to wait till i feel like it LOL

This headcanon also isn't meant to be inherently romantic tho it definitely could be (Especially since I am a Polyninja(or Lifeship) fan) but the concept of the hc is not to imply a romantic bond LOL

I find it hilarious that there are folks genuinely concerned that Jay will be bald In the show.

...yall Ronin has hair In the show even tho his set piece with his hat had no hair

...They have given characters hair that wear hats before in the show

There is an absolute ZERO chance that Jay will be bald relax lol

I need Dragons Rising to decide if dragons are pets/companions or if they are of equal status to humans and other intelligent species and stop picking snd choosing which dragons get which treatment

Cuz Jiro and the other dragons they use to fly do NOT feel equal they feel like pets. Riyu is slightly better but he still kinda gives pet status

Meanwhile the Source dragons and Rontu and Egalt feel Equal which throws me off

Aside from those dragons all the other dragons jsut feel like instinctual animals and aren't treated the same as any other intelligent species which can't be the vibe they r going for? Since they're trying so hard to emphasize that the dragons ARE of equal status intelligence wise?

Headcanon that the elements of creation cannot be used against eachother to seriously hurt or kill another user of an element of creation

Seeing as they were meant to work together

This means that while the og 4 ninja can use their elements to train against eachother, any serious attempts to hurt/kill eachother with their elements backfires

I.e the elements either doesn't release or it redirects itself without the will of the user

Ex. Say Kai gets pissed at Jay (what else is new) and in his anger he shoots a fireball at him. The fireball will do one of two things

1. Either completely redirect its self out of Jay's way without Kai willing it to do so

2. Or it will simply explode in Kai's hands before he can actually send it Jay's way

It's all about intent

The elements of creation know who each others wielder is and as such will not intentionally cause them harm no matter the will of their own wielder

They aren't sentient, but they aren't unintelligent if that makes sense (it prolly don't my bad LOL)

This ALSO means they cannot use their elements to seriously hurt or kill Lloyd and Lloyd cannot do the same to them (seeing as how he wields all 4)

If they wanna, for some reason, brawl it out to the death it has to be done via hand to hand combat or mechs, no elements involved

And even then the elements wouldn't be very happy with that. The elements of creation are meant to work together and by proxy their users feel pulled to one another so to go against that and fight eachother with the intent to kill doesn't feel the best on their mental state and bodies

So even in a physical altercation with no elements involved their elements will still make sure that they suffer consequences for fighting against eachother

Nya is exempt from this unfortunately due to her not having an element of creation (such bullshit if u ask ME) so that means that the boys have to be a bit cautious (she can defend herself tho she's a big girl!)

Random headcanon that hit me this morning that I thought was fun

Paired that with the headcanon of Jay keeping scars from skybound even afer erasing the timeline and we got a recipe for fun

Seeing all the Jaya Yuri brings me back to my baby years when the fandom was still new, show still young, and I would intentionally genderbend Jay to be a girl. He would be the only one to get that treatment too LOL

This is all clearly a sign that version of me needs to come back-

Me tryna figure out how 'Once Bitten Twice Shy" would work if Jay's female

Cuz I 100% believe that Jay would be more hidden about her feelings rather that obvious because, duh she's a girl and Nya's a girl. She wouldn't wanna jump to just asking her on a date because:

1. She doesn't know if Nya is homophobic. That's always a worry

And 2. Even if she isn't, she doesn't know if Nya likes girls. For all she knows Nya is straight as a ladder

So i imagine in that episode it's less a date and more of an outing that could LEAD to more between them afterwards

I believe their romance would be more of a slow burn compared to that of the show-

Leaving room for more angst side eyeing that love triangle in rebooted-

I have a vague idea for how that works out in this au my friends-

And of course Jay's still an idiot who gets pricked by the fangpyre skeleton. Gotta keep that of course

Ya know? I think the movie was onto something when they made the ninjas identities a secret

I honestly wish the show did that too. Especially since at least 2 of the ninja had family away from them that could been easily used against them if a villain was messed up enough (Jay & Cole)

Take the Peter Parker route

Ya know what else? I think it woulda been cool(and funny) if the ninja had a relationship with the citizens of ninjago akin to Spiderman & new york city

The general public liked them but the government thought they were overstepping. Doing the work that should be left to officials and causing reckless destruction and aiming to get them arrested for vigilant work

There's alot of fun to be had with dynamic if u ask me.

Random "ninjas" coming in, defeating these wild villains causing at least some destruction and then vanishing before the police can catch and arrest them.

Then eventually their identities r revealed and the citizens anf officials see that its..a bunch of children?! A group of young to old teenagers who have been fighting these dangerous villains getting thrown around nad heavily injured, protecting them.

WHERE R THEIR PARENTS?? WHOS PROTECTING THEM?!

I find it funny that when u talk about a specific ninjas element and how deadly it is you'll have a ton of folks who r like

"Well umh technically all the ninja have the ability to kill so they aren't special"

Well no DUH all the ninjas elements have the capability to kill

But not all elements are created equal. Some ARE more dangerous than others and having a fun thought experiment talking about that potential is in no way shunning the other ninjas capabilities

Like I have seen a constant complaint towards folks who like to theorize Jay's destructive capabilities. Eveytime you see folks talking about how dangerous Jay's element is (and rightfully so I fully believe his element is by far the most dangerous of the group and its FINE if u disagree im not here to argue its just my personal opinion) and how much they would love to see him let go and show that full capability, especially now that he has no memories and a shattered soul, you will have a wave of folks who get angry and talk about how the other ninja are just as powerful and that they don't understand this overhyping of Jay abilities etc and etc

We KNOW the ninja are all capable of immense destruction, but let us have fun talking about how dangerous our fav specifically is! There is no harm in doing that and if ur bothered u can block or ignore.

I'm gonna do a post about my headcanons about the ninjas elements and their control methods now I got that on my mind
