M I S S I N G M A R R A K E C H 🐪 I had the privilege of traveling to Morocco 🇲🇦 this year and I had a wonderful time. During my time there, I stayed in a riad for a few days. It was a relaxing and fun experience staying in a beautiful space, being taken care of by my host, and meeting other travelers. D O N’ T W O R R Y 🎵✨ I had THE best time during my trip to Jamaica. 🇯🇲 I was able to visit several parts of the island country and met wonderful people. Although it wasn’t my first time to JA, it was the first time visiting the Bob Marley Museum. I enjoyed getting to tour the home where the reggae legend worked, lived, and played and learning more about his life. Fun fact: Bob Marley was 5 ft 6! However, his energy and talent made him larger than life. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - If you’re planning a visit to Jamaica, you have to visit the Bob Marley Museum. It’s located in Kingston and about a 2.5-3 hour drive from Montego Bay or a 3.5-4 hour drive from Negril. You’ll want to make the visit to Kingston a full day trip or an overnight adventure. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - They don’t allow photos inside of the museum during the guided tour but you can take as many as you want outside. The grounds are filled with wall art, information, and a statue of Bob Marley. The sun was wicked bright in Jamaica and practically photobombed my selfie but I’m not worried as I still captured the fun I had during my visit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Three Little Birds” is one of my favorite Bob Marley songs. I pretty much love everything he wrote, especially from the Exodus album. M I A M I V I C E ✨ Have you heard of #MiamiVice? Not the 80’s TV show, the drink. I just discovered that there is a cocktail called a Miami Vice and apparently it’s internationally known. You may not see it on the bar menu but your bartender will know how to make it. Essentially, it’s strawberry daiquiri, pinacolada, with a little blue curaçao on top. - - - - - - - - - - - When I was a kid I loved getting BombPops from the ice cream truck. The Miami Vice is like a #BombPop for adults. Well, almost since it doesn’t have the lime flavor. The next time you want to try a new drink, try this one. I saw this street art on a wall a few years ago when I was in Paris, somewhere near Montmartre, I think. This image embodies what makes a lot of people gravitate towards her - the smile, the joy, being a little different, the love and love of self. At first I was surprised to see this image of Mo’Nique across the ocean. Then I thought about all the things she has overcome and all that she has accomplished. She is an inspiration for following your passion and for preserving. . . Since coming on the scene, Mo’Nique has and will always be a force, a presence in comedy and entertainment. She’s made headlines and received several awards. #Oscars Now, she’s hitting another milestone and making history at the same time as she will be the 1st African American comedienne to have a residency in Las Vegas.
