kiyolidner and mikavanni, mass murderer x spk double date

Mikavanni highschool(?) AU, where they’re both partners on this huge project thats due in like 3 months.

Mikami’s the one who indirectly tells his partner to fuck off so that he can do it by himself and get them the easy A, while Gevanni’s the one who’s stubborn enough to insist that he takes part in the project and reminds Mikami that they’re individually graded, so he can’t really lie about it (unless he wants them both to fail or something)

Mikami does NOT want to sacrifice his perfect 100 (getting a 75 is better than failing…) so he reluctantly lets Gevanni do his part.

Which results in them basically doing nothing for 2 weeks because Gevanni’s procrastinating and Mikami is too busy gathering information and doesn’t communicate with his partner. He’s still stuck in the “Let ME do everything cause I do it RIGHT and you’re fucking stupid” kinda mindset but oh well

They’re also kinda passive aggressive towards each other but nothing too serious. Sometimes Mikami grabs a ruler and threatens to stab him while Gevanni taunts him and changes all the powerpoint transitions to the ugly 3D ones,,, but then again nothing too serious.

So uhm days pass and Gevanni’s still doing nothing. He literally goes to Mikami house and offers constructive criticism once in a while and then does absolutely nothing. Mikami doesn’t understand, and for some reason they keep making eye-contact randomly throughout the day???? Fucking weirdo.

AND THEN THE MOMENT YOU’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. They—or..Gevanni— starts flirting with him. It starts out as small compliments on his work, to full on admiring him and even trying cheesy pickup lines.

Mikami’s like ??? the entire time because??? Why him??? What did he do to deserve this?? not like in the fluffy way but more like in “existence is dreadful” kinda way

He takes it as a joke, and responds to him like “I’ll only let you take me out to dinner if yOU FINISH THIS PROJECT” or “flirt with me one more time, I will fail us.”

And FINALLY, Gevanni does his part. Not all at once though, little by little. They still hang out at the others house, but this time it’s more casual and not work focused.

And then when the time comes to finally turn in the project, they kinda go have a celebration-date thing.

HOWEVER Mikami is dense as fuck and still doesn’t know he likes him, despite Gevanni being all dressed up and taking him to a restaurant.

Few days later, He tells Kiyomi (his girlboss bestfriend) and she ROASTS him to hell and back.

“He literally said he’d take you out to dinner, yet you’re still clueless?! What are you, a block of cheese? Go and ask him out!” “Idk… what if he’s just joking” “BRO”

Meanwhile Gevanni is with Halle and she, too, is roasting the daylight out of Mikami.

“This guy is fucking dense” “yeah…and so is that ass” “god dammit”

So Halle and Kiyomi team up to get them together by directing them to a nearby cafe. At the cafe, the girls go undercover and kinda eavesdrop over their conversation.. not in the creepy way just in a “pray to every God in existence that this goes well and they get together” (and they accidentally get together as well. don’t forget the kiyolidner agenda)

Good news! It went well! Now they don’t have to deal with 3AM texts of them doubting themselves..
