The Parent Trap

I ended up watching the original 1961 Parent Trap and LORD but there's a lot going on in that film. But ignoring the more . . . distressingly unhealthy 60s attitude toward marriage dynamics. . . The actual twin swap is such a good angle (and the effects genuinely hold up really well) I just wanted to capture the stress of trying to assimilate into a life so unlike your own, and that gut punch moment when they get to meet their missing parent for the first time.

And from there I just couldn't help imagine a future parent reconciliation, with a couple of siblings added into the mix . . .

Unlike in the film where they were right to have gotten divorced (and shoulda stayed super divorced)- Takaaki and Kiyoko's seperation was very much a symptom of Toranosuke's scandal and demanded by Kiyoko's father. So when they meet once again as a result of the Twin's shenanigans, the two of them could easily develop a genuine connection, now they're older, more experienced, and freed from the pressure of expectation. And I'm not immune to making every red eyed Dangan character an Ishimaru sibling

(Truth be told, this has been on my mind ever since @puckishpal 's just marvellous fic Changed, and I really wanted to get this out in time for @mini-mecha-cowboy 's Kiyotaka week prompts AU and Lookalike, but uuuh- I managed to miss that by just a few ;; )

Messing around with the revival au is always fun, especially considering how some things were different. Example: Taka and Celeste having a death pact of sorts, one Akira was unaware of at the time.. Taka was too depressed and the lack of care presented by others only reinforced his depressive state… Celeste, as his… relatively trustworthy twin sister, hesitantly accepted his request to kill him… albeit she couldn’t easily bring herself to do it, and convinced Hifumi to do so after Akira began fronting (claiming they were so hostile they could’ve been a threat… bc the original story was stupid as hell.)

That still sort of plays in in this hypothetical, where Kiyondo exists as Taka (and Celeste’s) brother. Taka didn’t ask him because he knew he’d decline no matter what…

Originally this comic was going to involve Kiyondo, more specifically the Kiyondo @mickules has blessed the danganronpa community with (bc doll doesn’t have their own Kiyondo), but I started thinking about an interaction specifically between Kiyoko and Akira while at work, and ended up liking that interaction much more.

As for why she can tell it’s Akira fronting and not Taka… Taka doesn’t wear his uniform undone. Akira does. They don’t like tight clothes. (The eyes/flames are more indicative for the audience)

My random headcannoj for Kiyotaka is despite (cannonically) only listening to The Japanese Natuonal anthem and his schools anthem- he has a soft spot for divorced dad rock, like thr real middle aged man music, simply because takakai listens to it and therefore kiyotaka listened to it alot growing up, if you asked him however he will deny enjoying it and go on a lecture

So, I decided to take a few photos of the Danganronpa 4コマ KINGS series and compile a few of the findings I thought were funny.

I don't have everything fully translated yet, so there may be a few issues with my findings. If you find any mistakes or have anything to add, please lmk :) I'll also update this if I find things later.

Hifumi has written, drawn, or thought of making content relating to Sayaka x Kiyoko, Aoi x Sakura (on two occasions), and Makoto x Byakuya

Toko thinks that… something… happened between Mondo and Kiyotaka in the sauna, wink wink.

Toko wrote some sort of fanfiction in relation to Byakuya, Chihiro and Mondo. Idk what it is, but the title is along the lines of "The Byakuya Family Household Sweep Away a Beautiful Girl". (Pretty sure it's a Mondo x Chihiro fic, but I could be wrong.)

Aoi's b00bs are so squishy, she can use them to launch herself off things.

Everyone really likes drawing pretty boy Byakuya. Like, he looks fabulous in some of these panels. Here is one of those pictures:

Yasuhiro's secret (the motive in Chapter 2) is that he's an idiot.

Mondo, Kiyotaka and Sayaka all get along really well! So do Mondo, Kiyotaka and Chihiro :)

Mondo knows how to sew!

(I'm pretty sure that) Kiyotaka was found guilty in a trial relating to black underwear. Unclear if he was executed or not. (This point is subject to change once I fully translate the comic.)

Kiyotaka was brainwashed by the Mono-Rangers (parody on Power Rangers) in a different comic. He became Commander Ishimaru and enforced rules and dress code in a dictator-like fashion. (Full translation is still in the works.) This is what his outfit looked like:

Bee’s Birthday Event!

Hi hi everyone! So I’ve been in the mood to do an event like this for a while now since I’m finally wrapping up my first year of college and getting ready for summer, and since I just recently hit 700 followers and my birthday is also coming up, I decided now was the perfect time to do an event because I wanna celebrate with you guys! 

This event is similar to some other events I’ve done before, where it’s a game of chance when it comes to your request! I decided to go with the same theme of an ice cream parlor for now just because it provides the most options, because I wanted this event to be as fun as possible! Basically, the way it works is that below, there is a list of ice cream flavors and toppings. Each ice cream flavor connects to a different headcanon type/prompt, and each topping connects to a different character (the flavors are the same but they are connected to a different character from every fandom I write for). However, the catch is that you don’t know which flavor/topping connects to which thing, you just have to pick randomly and you only tell me which fandom you’d like me to write your request for!

If you’d like multiple different fandoms it’s best to send a different ask for each fandom, simply because each topping is connected to one character from every fandom I write for so just sending different fandoms in different asks helps avoid confusion. Also, in some fandoms there are obviously less characters than there are toppings, so for some characters there will be more than one topping connected to them. If you’d like to pick your own character(s) instead of randomly selecting them, feel free to just include those in your ask and not include any toppings, but you have to randomly select the flavor/prompt!

(The modern highschool is a hellscape for teachers. After the passing of the Anti-Corporal Punishment Act, students now take full advantage of the fact that corporal punishment is outlawed and torture and bully to their heart's content. Teachers who stand against them soon find themselves in court.

Enter Hwajin Na of the Teacher's Rights Protection Agency, here to teach troublesome students a few lessons of his own. Backed up by the Ministry of Education he is more than prepared to clean up the schools of the country and put the little brats back in their place.

The series features a lot of commentary on the difficulty of educating troubled youths and how many modern laws like the taboo of a teacher touching a student often make it harder to do their jobs. It also analyzes how bullying can affect teachers as well as students and how modern day school-bullies often use the very laws meant to protect their victims to protect themselves from consequences for their actions and discusses the necessity of corporal punishment.)

It's a very cool and unique story. And sorry for this long description.

Kiyoko has always been aware of how difficult some teachers had it, and they decided it was up to them to help. They started reading up on what they could do when they were still young.

They’re used to not being very well-liked by their peers or the students in the classrooms they visit, which includes having friends at all. It’s a little lonely, but they’re usually fine with it.

Kiyoko is very much a rule-follower, but is an advocate for fair rules. If a rule is unfair or harmful, they’ll do their best to remove it or make it more fair for everyone involved.

They’re also quite the stubborn person, which can definitely be helpful in their line of work. They do their best to never be overly stubborn, and always hear out the other person in times of disagreement.

As long as they can help eliminate the effects of bullying on teachers as well as help troubled youths, they’re fine with missing their own classes. It would be worth it in the end.
