Aliens Exist. (An Invader Zim AU.)

summary:

Zim, a 11 year old Irken is sent to conquer mysterious planet “Urth” as a “top secret” mission by his Almighty Tallests, Red and Purple. He believes that this is a top secret mission, but that is further than the truth.

He meets a “Urthinoid” boy his age, Dibert “Dib” Membrane. A weird and unhinged boy with a not-so-good reputation. His only friend is this other boy named Keef Cooksey, another social reject, who have an unlikely friendship despite their differing personalities.

Dib has a mean younger sister, Gazlene “Gaz” Membrane, who couldn’t care less about Zim.

Zim and Dib quickly become sworn enemies, but, will this be the case for the rest of their lives? Or will this be subject to change?

so uh.. I saw a tumblr post @geneticcarnage made about 2000s emo zadr so I wrote a short fic. :’)

The title is based of the emo classic “Ohio is for Lovers” btw. Even tho I didn’t really take any inspo from the song itself for this fic. However I made the title “Michigan is for Lovers” bc I hc that iz takes place in Michigan, lol.

Aliens Exist - The Master Post.

What is Aliens Exist?:

Named after the Blink-182 song of the same name, Aliens Exist (AE) is a reimagining/rewrite of Invader Zim. It’s basically a “Invader Zim but if I wrote it” type thing. With my own changes, additions, headcanons, interpretations etc.

General information:

While it is based off a children’s show, AE is not intended for young children and is targeted at a 13+ audience.

It will have a similar humor to the show. It’s tone is dark like the show for the most part, but it also has its lighthearted moments.

The fic takes place in a weird fictional version of Detroit, Michigan.

It takes place in a more technology advanced version of 2001. Zim, Dib Gaz etc were all born in 1990.

Content Warnings:

Canon typical ableism, cursing and language, mentions of mental health problems (especially in Dib’s case most likely.), Queer Themes, ZaDr and TaGr, messy relationships, mentions parental issues, child soldiers, etc. If you are sensitive to these topics, I’d suggest not reading.

S.I.R.K.E.N : Prologue: Test Tube.

so here’s the prologue for my AU kidfic I’m writing!! :D I’ve been very excited to share it!

Summary:

To most, Vela may seem like the average, typical and mean pre-teen girl. Even if her family is well… a little strange. (And… she’s definitely not a siren and alien hybrid…) (yeah right.)

She’s quite unpopular, and doesn’t really have friends. Well. Other than the long dead spirits she summons occasionally. But, she always treats one kid different. Ghost Wallace, a shy, timid and anxious boy. She just can’t hide a smile from him.

However, out of all of her enemies, she hates one most. Frances "Fran" McKinley. A rude, snobby, bitchy rich girl. She just so happens to be the daughter of Rick and Micki McKinley. Two famous celebrities.

Despite Fran’s recent arrival, her, Vela and Ghost became quick enemies, after Fran figured what Vela really was. A Sirken freak.

Will the three put their differences aside and become friends, or something more? Or will they continue to be bitter enemies?

I FINALLY FINISHED THE ONESHOT FOR MY IKREN IDIOT AU!!! :D

I decided to finish it today in honor of American Idiot’s 20th anniversary! (Which is the album it’s based off.) Green Day has been one of my favorite bands since childhood, so this is kind of a tribute to my child self lol. :)

You don’t have to have context from the album to read this btw. :) it’s angst with a happy ending! :D

ya know what. Here’s a short ZaDr oneshot from my main au (aka wots.) I don’t usually post my writing here but here it is:

Drool.

Zim glanced down at Dib, who was sleeping on his chest, gently stroking the siren's back.

He was drooling everywhere.

Ew! Zim thought in disgust. Sure. He loved and adored that dumb siren with all his heart. But he still couldn't help but find the siren's drooling gross and revolting.

Zim almost wanted to wake up Dib, but, it just couldn't. Dib was to adorable to awake from his slumber, all cuddled up like that.

Dib was grumbling in his sleep, which was pretty normal for them. They always did that.

Yet… Zim still couldn't help but find it weird… yet at the same time, also endearing.

"Raw salmon… salmon…" Dib mumbled in their sleep, 

Zim glanced at the siren with a concerned expression.

Maybe they're hungry… maybe that's why they're drooling.

Yet… Zim just couldn't bring xemself to move the siren of xyr chest. 

"Finland…" Dib grumbled in his sleep, Zim looked even more confused and concerned.

However, soon enough, Dib was beginning to awaken.

Dib lethargically left up his head, dazed and confused.

He saw Zim's pink eyes staring back at him, "Oh hi Zim." He said in sleepy and quiet manner.

"You say some weird shit in your sleep, Fishboy." Zim remarked, "Oh?". 

"You kept mumbling raw fish… and Finland of all things." Zim continued, "And you kept drooling all over Zim!" Xe complained, holding up xyr shirt that was soaked with Dib's drool.

"Why didn't you move me then?" Dib questioned, "I would have… if you hadn't looked that cute.." Zim admitted, glancing away from Dib. 

"Awe." Dib commented, "Shut up!" Zim replied, beginning to become flustered. Dib let out a chuckle in response.

"Do you want some fish or something?" He questioned, changing subject. "Yes. Please. I need fish." Dib replied with a smile.

"YEAAAHHH!!! Bighead needs fish or he'll EXPLODE!!!" Gir interjected, Zim then scooped up Dib, rolling his eyes at Gir's interjection. Minimoose just let out a typical "nya!" In agreement.

Zim carried Dib downstairs, "MY SPIIINNEEE!!!!" It complained, "Aren't you used to this by now?? You carry me everywhere." Dib remarked.

Zim ignored Dib's remark, and gently placed the siren on the couch, before it started screaming "MY SPINE!" In typical Zim fashion, causing Dib to become concerned.

"Hey um… do you need pain meds?" Dib asked, "No Dib-worm! Zim is fine!" Zim insisted, Dib wasn't entirely convinced though.

Zim then came back with Dib's favorite, Salmon.

Dib started ripping the fish apart apart like a rabid animal, shredding the thing to pieces. 

Aw… they're so cute and precious when they eat. Zim thought sweetly, despite the fact Dib literally looked like a rabid dog while eating the fish.

Dib licked their lips, and cuddled up on Zim's lap like dog or cat would, and let out loud and content purrs. 

Zim also let out content purrs.

Well, until Gir started being Gir.

"MASTEH N' BIGHEAD SITTIN' IN A TREE K-I-S—" 

"Gir, please shut up." Dib requested, turning his attention back to Zim.
