I've seen many posts about people missing how common asks used to be so I have been trying to send about an ask a week. Now I send this ask first anytime I follow someone as I really don't want to bother anyone, so I'd love to know if you enjoy receiving asks and if so what kind of asks. There is a very interesting thing in the Russian dubbing of Puss in Boots. Puss in Boots is voiced by Vsevolod Kuznetsov, a dubbing actor who voiced Geralt from Rivia. And Kitty Softpaws is voiced by Tatiana Shitova, an actress who voices Yennefer.  so...it’s something like this :D I won't apologize for this

So, About The Pockets...

The third and final part of my little “Jaskier is obsessed with pants” series. I’m sorry to say that this part doesn’t really focus on the pants or Jaskiers, uhm... unorthodox fashion research. But it’s there, I promise.

“I’m feeling kind of nervous about meeting Jaskier this spring,” Geralt says to the man who’s walking with him through the streets of Oxenfurt.

“Finally grew some balls and decided to ask the bard to rearrange your insides?” his companion smirks. “I swear, Geralt, if you don’t offer your ass to him, I will have to sacrifice mine.”

“Lambert!” Geralt groans.

“What? Poor boy apparently didn’t fuck a Witcher last year.”

“Because I asked him not to. Well, not to fuck any Wolves, at least.”

“Jealous prick.”

“The worst thing is, he really didn’t! Or so it seems,” Geralt sighs.

“I can see the problem. He’s a fucking idiot.”

Geralt grunts.

“And what are you doing here, anyway? Sticking around just to annoy the shit out of me?”

“Meeting a friend,” Lambert smiles.

“A friend? You?” Geralt blinks, pausing. “Another?!”

“You make it sound like some sort of a miracle. I assure you, I’m fully capable of making friends.”

“Hm,” Geralt nods. “And this friend, he’s a… what? Another Witcher?”

“He’s a… bard.”

“A bard.”

“Don’t say it like that,” Lambert frowns.

“Like what?”

“Like you don’t believe a single word.”

“I don’t believe a single word,” Geralt smirks. “So what’s his name?”

“Aid… Fuck,” Lambert grunts.

“So, Aiden. Now tell me, Lambert, this wouldn’t happen to be the Aiden I helped you avenge last autumn, would it?”

“No. It’s a completely different Aiden.”

“Am I really supposed to believe that you found two friends, both named Aiden, and both willing to put up with your bullshit?”

“In my defense,” Lambert says, grumpily kicking a nearby stone, “I really thought he was dead when I asked you for help. Met him like… a week after you and I parted ways afterwards. Thought I finally managed to turn my brain into mush with all the drinking, but it turned out that Cats really do have nine lives. He lost an eye and tends to mess up his signs a lot, but nobody’s perfect, eh? And hey, turns out that Igni works against pretty much everything.”

“And you didn’t tell me for the whole winter because…”

“Because you’d probably kick me down from the balcony?”

“Damn right I would,” Geralt growls. “So where’s this Aiden of yours?”

“Don’t know. Somewhere here in the city.”

Geralt stops dead in his tracks, gaping at Lambert.

“Here? In Oxenfurt?!” he asks. “With Jaskier?!”

“Well, he needed a safe place to spend the winter, and you know Vesemir isn’t a fan of Cats,” Lambert shrugs. “Come on, it’s a big city. I’m sure they haven’t even met each other. The city’s still standing, after all.”

“You don’t understand. Jaskier–”

Geralt doesn’t even get to finish the sentence when he sees a young man leap from the window of a nearby building and land with a perfect roll that only comes with years and years of practice.

“Melitele’s tits,” he mutters under his breath while making sure his pants are properly fastened. “Nobody’s ever told you it’s impolite not to let a man finish?!”

“Hey, Geralt,” Lambert snorts. “Found your bard.”

Jaskier, hearing his words, turns his head and beams at the Witchers.

“Geralt! Lambert! So nice to see you! Would one of you mind Yrdening the fucking door for me?”

“I swear to Melitele, Jaskier, one day I am going to let you suffer the consequences of your actions,” Geralt smirks, stepping closer to the door and using the sign on them. “How was your winter?”

“Very amusing,” Jaskier smiles just as the doorknob rattles uselessly. “How about yours?”

“Drafty,” Lambert says. “Hey, you didn’t happen to see Aiden, did you?”

“Aiden?” Jaskier repeats, his eyes darting over to the door of a tavern on the other side of the road. “Well, that’s quite a funny story, actually…”

There is a loud crash from within the tavern, followed by a roared: “Cheating Witcher scum!”

The door open and a lean blond man with an eye patch over his right eye runs out, looking around frantically.

“Jaskier!” he yells when he spots the bard. “We need to go. Now!”

“Did you try to Axii your way out of cheating again, kitty?” Lambert smirks, takes a few steps forward and casts an Yrden on the door.

“Lambert!” Aiden yells and throws his arms around Lambert’s neck. “You’re here, puppy!”

“So what did you cast?” Lambert smirks, hugging him tightly.

“Aard. Not that bad.”

“It’s better than the Yrden last week,” Jaskier comments. “The guy really wasn’t happy about having to spend the night in his seat. And there was, of course, the tiny incident with Valdo Marx and Igni two days before that…”

“I’m sure they haven’t even met each other. The city’s still standing, after all. Well, what a fucking miracle,” Geralt snorts, turning to Lambert, only to realize that he is currently kissing Aiden passionately. “Oh, fuck. Jaskier?”

“Yes, dear?” Jaskier smiles.

“They’re not just friends, are they?”

“What gave you the clue?” the bard chuckles.

The shutters on a window of a house Jaskier was running away from crash open and an angry man starts to climb out, even though he can barely fit through.

“Uhm, I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news…” Geralt starts, but then Jaskier grabs his hand and he promptly shuts up.

“Yes,” the bard nods. “We’d better fucking run.”

Jaskier puffs out his chest and frowns at the fat man in front of him – the man who, as Geralt realizes, was the one climbing out of the window of the house where Geralt met Jaskier about an hour ago, right before their hurried escape to Jaskier’s rooms in the university buildings.

“Are you suggesting, my dear sir,” Jaskier says in his best offended noble voice, “that I, a respectable professor at this university, have, as you said yourself, canoodled with your wife?”

“I saw you. With my own eyes!” the man growls.

“Impossible. I spent my afternoon here, with my dear friend Geralt of Rivia. Is that true, Geralt?”

“Hm,” Geralt nods solemnly, trying not to spit out his wine.

“But this… friend of yours was there, too!” the man tries.

Jaskier gasps for breath and places a hand on his chest dramatically.

“Did you…” he whispers. “Did you just dispute the words of Geralt of Rivia, the mighty White Wolf himself? My dear sir, this man is a Witcher! The legendary savior! Slayer of bruxas…”

“Bruxae,” Geralt murmurs.

“… strigas…”

“Didn’t actually kill the striga.”

“… ghouls…”

“There’s really nothing exciting about those.”

“… and… and nekkers…”

“Every respectable Witcher wants to be known as a slayer of fucking nekkers.”

“And drowners!” Jaskier yells after the man who’s already turned on his heel and left.

“I see you’re running our of monsters again,” Geralt chuckles when Jaskier slams the door shut.

“Oh, shut up,” Jaskier mutters, sits into his armchair and grabs his goblet of wine. “Did I get rid of him or not?”

“You annoyed him into leaving, yes,” Geralt nods. “That, or he realized that Witchers tend to have two very big and sharp swords.”

“And I have three Witchers,” Jaskier smiles just as they both hear Lambert’s high-pitched scream from the next room.

“Sweet Melitele. How much longer is it going to take them?”

“Come on, Geralt. They didn’t see each other for the whole winter.”

“I didn’t see you for the whole winter, and you don’t hear me moaning your name like a cheap whore.”

“Yes, and isn’t that a shame?”

Geralt nearly chokes on his wine.

“What?” he wheezes.

“Nothing, dear,” Jaskier says quickly and gets back to his feet to refill their goblets.

“Hm…” Geralt hums, cocking his head. “Are those new pants?”

“They are. Thank you for noticing.”

“What happened to the tighter ones?”

“An accident,” Jaskier sighs. “I keep saying it, yours are only held together by some sort of dark magic!”

“They aren’t.”

“Fine, is it Quen, then? Are you constantly Quenning your fucking pants?”

“I am definitely not Quenning my pants, no.”

“Then explain how it’s possible that your mighty ass doesn’t rip them in half!”

“I don’t know. I suppose you will have to take a look at them yourself.”

“Geralt, I’ve been looking at your pants ten times a day ever since I met you, I don’t think one more look will change… What are you doing?”

Geralt downs the rest of his wine and stands up.

“I was thinking about a… closer look,” he murmurs. “I mean… for research purposes, of course.”

“Geralt of Rivia,” Jaskier says, his eyes going wide. “Are you seriously suggesting… what I think you’re suggesting?”

“That there is one Wolf Witcher you haven’t fucked yet, yes.” For someone who’s just a little taller than Jaskier, Geralt is sure good at towering above the bard. “So if you wanted…”

“For research purposes, yes?” Jaskier asks as he wraps his arms around Geralt’s waist. “I should warn you, though. I’m afraid it’s gonna have to be a very thorough research. Probably gonna take at least a year.”

Geralt smirks and brings their lips so close together that they almost – but only almost – touch.

“Works for me,” he murmurs right before Jaskier kisses him.

“Did you know Cat Witchers have pockets on their pants?” Jaskier asks much later, when they’re lying side by side in his bed, naked and satisfied.

“Mhm,” Geralt hums because he was just about to fall asleep. “That’s nice.”

“I mean, not for me, they would absolutely ruin my silhouette, obviously,” Jaskier continues. “But for you, they might be quite handy, right?”

“Did you… Did you have to research with Aiden to find out?”

“Well, yes. You see, winter nights tend to get boring,” Jaskier grins. “But fret not, dear heart, you won’t have to spend the rest of your life protecting me from your angry brother. They have quite an open relationship.”

“Bold of you to assume that I would protect you,” Geralt sighs, burying his face in Jaskier’s chest.

“I know you will always protect me, dear,” Jaskier smiles and presses a kiss in Geralt’s hair. “So, about the pockets...”

“Tomorrow. I want to sleep.”

“But you promised I could take a look at your pants.”

“Mhm, I didn’t specify when, though. So shut up and let me sleep.”

“Geralt...” Jaskier whines.

“Jaskier,” Geralt chuckles.

“Ugh, fine. But I like you a lot less now, I hope you’re aware of that.”

“I’ll make it up to you. In the morning. I might even be willing to go with you to that tailor of yours.”

“Really?”

“Really. But first I have to ask Aiden about the… pockets thing…”

Geralt falls asleep, snoring slightly, even though he’s assured Jaskier a million times that Witchers absolutely do not snore.

“Knew you were gonna like that idea,” Jaskier smiles and closes his eyes. “Good night, my dear Wolf.”

“Hmmm…”

The next morning, Jaskier grins at the tiny tailor who’s studying Geralt’s pants with interest while the Witcher just stands there with his ass barely covered by his shirt.

“Truly an excellent bottom.”

“I can see that,” the man grins back.

“You are so,” Geralt snarls, “so paying for this, bard.”

“Oh, my dear,” Jaskier laughs. “With pleasure.”

Bard Loose in Kaer Morhen Harlequin Bingo

This was a Teamed up Event and my team included:  @jaimistoryteller and @lenalawlipop - had a great time working with you both!

So there was a maximum of 2500 words for this - those of you who know me, know this was a CHALLENGE to stay under or as close as I could get.  We also had just under a week to fill as much as we could - I lucked out that I had 2 extra days off this week. Worked out PERFECTLY for this event.  Ships allowed: Jaskier/Witcher or Witcher/Witcher, so I tried a couple things I haven’t before.

Some of these covers were definitely harder to write for than others, but all in all, I had fun :D

Summary: Lambert hadn't even known Aiden was in trouble but he should have. It'd been a while since they'd last seen each other. A lot could happen in that time. So honestly, he wasn't surprised that Aiden was in trouble - he was a Cat, after all - but he hadn't expected this.

Now he's in love with two oblivious Witchers - who are already in a relationship with each other. How is he going to survive this winter?

Things I Am in the Midst of Watching, VI

Oh wow, this is going to be rather long considering I last did this six months ago. D:

In Progress

The Witcher, Season 2 (6/8 episodes)--I still don’t get what’s going on  with Ciri, exactly, but Reluctant Dad Geralt and the brief team up of Jaskier and Yennefer have pleased me.

The Silent Sea (3/8 episodes)--This is a surprisingly quiet series so far for a sci-fi apocalyptic horror mystery set in a space station. I have no idea what’s up, but it’s definitely bad, likely caused by human greed, and absolutely going to kill more of our heroes.

Legend of the White Snake (21/36 episodes)--The production team is doing their damnedest with their limited budget. Enjoying it thus far (the main couple is very cute!), but man, I haven’t been this annoyed by the Second Leads in years.

The King’s Affection--I’ve stalled out halfway through episode 19 (of 20). Feels shallower than I’d hoped, but there’s enough interesting material here that I’m considering hunting up the comic it was based on to see how things went down in the original.

Midnight Mass (2/7 episodes)--Catholic-flavored small-town horror! Enjoying this one, though it’s on pause while my friend Jazy and I watch The Silent Sea.

Money Heist--Finished the first heist (seasons 1 & 2). Continued shrieking at characters for their (romantic) choices, but I obviously kept watching it anyway (and will likely keep watching it when my friend Charley has time in her schedule).

Story of Yanxi Palace (68/70)--Need to just sit down and finish this. Someday. Maybe.

Empresses in the Palace (49/76)--No new subtitles; the project might be dead, so it’s likely I won’t ever finish.

The Wheel of Time--As someone who has read each of the books precisely once between 2002 and 2013 (and read LB’s recap series), I’m genuinely pleased by a lot of what the production team did to update this series. I don’t agree with everything, but I had fun watching it (and cried more than once!). I’m looking forward to where it goes.

Kitty Love: An Homage to Cats--It’s Dutch, there’s a bunch of cat videos, it’s a cute way to spend an hour.

Kakegurui--I watched the live-action tv show instead of the anime because I was intrigued by the Absurdly Powerful High School Council at a Ridiculous School With a Ridiculous Gimmick premise, and the live action seemed to be the less cheesecake-y version. Okay for what it was. Very amused that the Everyman Hero only existed to narrate and break the fourth wall.

Invisible City--This was a lot of fun! A little bored by the setup with the lead man (and dead wife), but I liked almost everything else. I do love Secret World urban fantasies, and this one was set in Brazil!

Squid Game--This was basically everything I ever wanted in a death game show, thank you for it. <3

Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (dropped?)--Was watching with @ninjaeyecandy; this has fallen off our radar due to Life Events and Holidays. Not sure if we’re going back to it.

Possessed (dropped)--Was hoping for more of The Guest and didn’t get it. Villain was boring and the main characters were okay but not compelling enough to keep going after the fakeout death.

Heaven Official’s Blessing--I have no idea what was going on at the end of this one, but it was very pretty.

Gunpowder Milkshake--I enjoyed the concept more than the execution, but decent enough.

Re:Mind--Surprisingly good for what was apparently a locked-room drama series starring a girl group? Not the most polished of performances but I definitely enjoyed watching it.

Shadow & Bone--I know almost nothing about the book series, but the show was fun (though as has been noted elsewhere, the handling of the not-in-canon racism was clumsy). Still not entirely sure I understand the magic system, but hey, sunlight powers!

Kingdom: Ashin of the North--A solid prequel! Forever waiting for news on a season three of Kingdom...

Hospital Playlist--I finally finished another Jo Jung-suk drama! XD I adored this one. I’m such a sucker for solid friend groups, and it was nice to watch a low-stakes slice-of-life set in a hospital with occasional music numbers. I looked forward to watching this on my commute to and from work, and it was one of my favorite things this year.

Katla--This was really good, if you can handle constant low-level anxiety and dread. Almost nothing was explained, but I definitely enjoyed The Vibe of a town largely abandoned due to constant volcanic eruption and ashfall. 

Sweet Tooth--Spent a lot of time shrieking about a child making childish choices, but generally fun, even if the mechanics of this particular apocalypse don’t make a ton of sense. But hey, I’d be happy to watch another season.

Trese--If you’re in the mood for an urban fantasy noir-esque show, this one is fun (and a bit gory)! Based on a Filipino comic, this series follows a detective who protects humanity against the supernatural.

Travelers--Ultimately a decent sci-fi show, even if I’m a bit torn on the ending. There was some interesting storytelling going on here, and I really loved some of the characters. Surprisingly, I wish we had more re: the ethics of the entire traveler program.

The Way of the Househusband--Mostly I love how much Tatsu loves his wife. Bob’s character design was...a series of choices I’m not qualified to speak about. Fun moving comic animation style, which suited the vignette storytelling.

Mine--This didn’t always make sense and left some significant storytelling potential on the table, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Tried several progressive plots, missed out on others, but once again: no gays were buried and the ladies all triumphed to varying degrees in the end, so I remember this fondly.

Murder Among the Mormons--I’m no expert on Mark Hoffman, but it seemed to me this documentary was a fairly evenhanded and honest approach to what was undoubtedly a wild series of events.

Word of Honor--I had to go look up wtf happened in the ending once I finished this (though apparently there’s an epilogue behind a paywall somewhere?), but overall a solid ride and entry point for wuxia shows.  

Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun--Cute! Nothing else more to say, really. If gently poking fun at shoujo tropes sounds like a good time, give this a chance.

So after months of recovery my cat finally has the amount of hairs I would expect on her (she had a bad bout of fleas- pretty sure she’s allergic to their bites because the poor thing turned into kitty Gollum D:) and also she gained a little weight, which was needed. So now she looks like a whole ass normal cat and I am excited for her :)

On another note I’ve decided to take a crack at that sentinal/guide trope I’ve seen but never written. But it does fit well with Geralt/Jaskier so I thought what the fuck, no time like now!

Kita comes from a well off trading family in Aedirn, her parents Stepan and Anna love her very much and did their best that she received the best childhood possible. 

She was one of the few students still at Artetuza during convention/coup in 1263. She and a couple of the other students managed to escape the Squirrels and waring mages relatively unharmed.

Her magic always manifests blue and no one knows really why

She has very long thick brown hair which she keeps in a long braid down her back

Kita is quite short, only standing at around 5′2-5′3

She’s very unsorceress like compared to others, she swears a lot, makes crude jokes and will drink. But at heart, she’s a gentle soul, just never get on her bad side or she’ll suspend you several feet in the air. 

Kita does have a quick temper

It's purely chance that she ends up with the Temerian rebels hiding out, she cast her portal wrong after being chased by Witchhunters. The best mistake she ever made

She doesn’t really get on with a lot of the other magic users, but she and Yennefer have a lot of great respect for each other. 

She has tried to punch Keira Metz in the face when at Kaer Morhen-it took Geralt and Roche to stop her

One of her nicknames, that ONLY her parents are allowed to use is KItty or Little Kitty-even Roche might get thumped for using it 

Kita loves wearing blue, white and brown. To mark her officially joining the Temerian partisans, they made a blue and white version of her outfit which she treasures.

Okay, so I just looked at the list of my fics on AO3 and found out I’ve got much more than I thought, so this is definitely not gonna be easy. But here we go...

1) To Relive My Life

A XueXiao reincarnation AU I started almost right after I finished watching The Untamed and after listening to Huang Cheng Du (aka Xue Yang’s theme song) way, way too many times. What can I say? You know the Yi City Arc hit me hard, and I wanted to give our precious murder kitty his chance to relive his life (for that one person). Also features Mo Xuanyu and Meng Yao as Xue Yang’s best friends, A-Qing as Xiao Xingchen’s foster daughter (though she mostly sees him as her brother), and one very angry Song Lan.

2) To Start All Over Again

AKA “the time-loop Yi City fix-it”, in which Xue Yang has to go again and again through that terrible day when his domestic life in Yi City fell apart, desperately trying to just keep Xiao Xingchen alive (and to kill Song Lan and fucking keep him dead and unfound), only to realize that he caught feelings. Disgusting, really. The first part in a series of three (possibly four, if I bring myself to write the last one) fics, and the XueXiao eventually evolves into SongXueXiao.

3) The Bard and The Wolf

The Geraskier metal band AU you never knew you needed. When singer Jaskier is kicked out by his band Dandelions, he is offered a position of the second singer in Kaer Morhen, a band he’s always considered to be their rivals. And before he knows what hit him, he’s falling hard for their singer Geralt, AKA The White Wolf. Features lots of mutual pining, D&D, Ciri as Geralt’s daughter, Yennefer as his ex-wife and Kaer Morhen’s ex-singer, an extremely annoying Valdo Marx, and also Lambert who is absolutely-definitely-straight-thank-you-very-much... and then he meets Jaskier’s friend Aiden. I just love this fic.

4) Song Lan’s Precious Coffee Table

I’ll be honest with you, I always think this fic deserves more attention than it got. I wrote it as a part of the SongXueXiao exchange. Basically, Xiao Xingchen’s two boyfriends can’t stand each other and will start arguing if they’re left alone together for more than two minutes. And then Song Lan catches a bad flu right before dancer/dancing teacher Xiao Xingchen’s supposed to leave for a week-long training camp he simply cannot cancel, so Xue Yang has to step in and take care of Song Lan instead of him. Guess what happens when you leave those two alone for a week? Well, SongXue happens, obviously! Also guess what? I only started to properly falling for Song Lan while I was writing the fic, and I have a feeling that it kind of shows.

5) A Man of Easy Virtues

This one was only written for fun, but boy, I loved writing it. Basically, it’s all about Jaskier and his historically inaccurate pants. Jaskier is trying to find a pair of pants that’s easy enough to get into when you’re running from jealous spouses, and accidentally finds out that pants like that are worn by... Witchers. Meaning he needs to get close enough to as many Witchers as possible. For research purposes, of course. AKA Jaskier is a slut, a witchersexual, and he’s about to start a fashion revolution.
