The raven haired man was honestly surprised by himself that he even let Kiyo sneak a few kisses onto his thigh before snapping him out of it. Whilst he was fondly used to how affectionate his fiancé is, he knew they hadn't gone quite far despite all their time together. The idea that line hadn't been crossed yet did hang in the back of Tomio's mind, but when push came to shove, he had immediately gone with his flight instinct, yelping once Kiyo had bitten him.

When the kitsune would look up at him, it was clear his face was more flushed than usual, pastel red tracing up to the tips of his ears as he even seemed to take a second to manifest a reply.

"I-no, that didn't hurt. It.. It just startled me that's all... I didn't know um." How does he even address this, red eyes averting their attention away from his lover to try and concrete himself.

"... You've just never kissed there before..." His voice is quieter, and he's already mentally kicking himself for saying that of all things.

"I have an idea, Master!" Daichi said, coming back. After Master Kanne gathered the remaining yokai. The yokai were now upset. Kiyo-hime, a yokai that is a half woman whose upper half is human and lower part is a snake body.

"Daichi! You can't expect us to work with jujutsu sorcerers!" Kiyo-hime hissed. Then another yokai, Gotoku, a medium-sized tabby cat with flaming two tails wants to know what's going on. "Yeah! You can't trust them!"

Then there's Reiki, a big blue oni yokai with a dragon's face wearing overalls, "They're horrible!!!"

Then the Kawa twins, a pair of fraternal twins who are river people with dark scales and hair on top. They both have pointed ears. They also look concerned. Then there's Keizobo, a kitsune hybrid, who works as a postman. He looks concerned as well. There were minor yokai who kept quiet and they were looking scared.

Daichi had his hands up, "Guys! I know how you feel! But they told me 50 cursed spirits are lingering around."

"How do you know that they're not referring to us?!" Kiyo-hime asked with her arms crossed. Tesso argues, "They fought me and spared me!"

"Yeah, to get to Daichi!" Gotoku growled. "What the hell is wrong with you, Tesso?!"

"Alright so we need to think of some idea to lure them to the hit point. But how?" Yuji asked.

"We just need to think of something during the time. We have till tomorrow to think of something." Megumi said already back with them as well. Knowing the curses around here it was going to be a mess.

"Even so, we have to do something. I really don't want to know what the cursed spirits will do when finding this out." Nobara sighed to think.

Awww, thank you so much for the question and such sweet words, Leeann ^^ I missed too! 🥰 And actually, ahah… During the time I was away, not one or two Shinsai-oriented AUs were added in my collection 😅 Moreover, each one of them contains some monstrosity of Shuichi or Korekiyo, so I wasn’t sure you'd like it… But since you are interested, I will try to tell you at least about one! (and I even have a sketch made by my bestie! 🤗💗) Especially since, due to the recently released V3 merch for Halloween it seems very appropriate 😂🎃

Let's call it "Spiritual Marriage to a Fox" ~

Often the ideas for my AUs are generated under the inspiration of arts. This was no exception, but since I can not attach here foreign art without permission (and get this permission too) – I just describe it. In this image, Korekiyo, wearing Japanese traditional clothes, with black fox ears and tail, is sitting behind bars, tied with a red rope. Instead of the usual mask, the lower half of his face is covered by a thin white cloth (like a veil for eastern dances) with the inscription «Truth» on it. And Kiyo’s look is rather sad, even sympathetic... So, yeah, situation «kitsune! Shinguji is imprisoned» becomes the starting point ✨

Shuichi, in turn, took on the role of junior priest of the Saihara family. The cunning fox is imprisoned exactly where he serves. Moreover, Shuichi knows that his senior mentors are about to torture Kiyo through various rituals – and he must take part in it... But he had doubts. His uncle taught him that it's always possible to negotiate with the otherwordly forces, and that extreme measures should be taken only if the Yokai are seriously dangerous. So he decided to risk. Just look at the kitsune first... Then let him out. And if anything went wrong he was even willing to give the beast his tiny life – to let him drink his blood so he wouldn’t hurt others...

But he didn’t know... that just by stepping into the dungeon he was dooming himself to a completely different fate, where his selfless and sincere desire to understand another being would not justify.

It sounds frightening, but actually everything is even funny in its own way (if you look at it from the outside, not from Shuichi’s point of view) :D In this universe Korekiyo is not a standard kitsune, but a whole deity Kūko, which, in fact, allowed itself to be imprisoned (Just because after 1000+ years of life, these creatures begin to be more interested in people and lead a similar lifestyle. Specifically Korekiyo wanted to understand the nature of human fear, anger, despair and superstition, so he pretended to be a standard kitsune xD). He has great power, is able to foresee the future and freely manipulate human consciousness... But hardly uses it, especially when he’s forgotten for a long time and only 💕Shui💕chi💕 offers a helping hand.

So... Yeah :'0 He instantly falls in love with Saihara ~ Moreover, Kiyo is sure that it's decided by fate! That Shuichi is the man with whom he is destined to enter into an eternal strong marriage!! First and only 🥰 :D

One small conversation between them – and Kiyo, believing in the vision he has, in fact, takes advantage of Shuichi’s good intentions. Under the pretext of being grateful for his release, he offers Shuichi to enter into some kind of "partnership": Kiyo gets a person through whom he can continue to explore the human world; and Shuichi gets all sorts of benefits: protection, deliverance from misfortunes + senior mentors will not judge him for yokai's salvation.

“From now on, your life will change... but only for the better.”

And the truth is, the priest had no choice. He didn’t know where to run. Didn't know how to convince his fellow-novices that the yokai he had released was not dangerous to humans. But most of all, he didn't want to be alone, as he had always been...

“I am Shuichi, the eldest son of the Saihara family, junior priest and probably the most naive man who still walks the earth. Because, um... I think, I agree with your offer.”

But OF COURSE, Kiyo didn't specify to him that his offer is actually a marriage proposal ;)))

This sketch illustrates how it will happen...

Yes. Yes. Shuichi will be tricked into marrying a supernatural powerful being! And he’ll be angry. He'll be broken. But Korekiyo never lied for a second about the terms of this complicated marriage. He tied himself to Shuichi with his own hands (or lips if you wish xD) to be eternally devoted to him from now on!! 😍

And though this plot is full of questionable, even forcing moments… As you may have noticed, there is again a mythology where everything has its own specific laws that paradoxically work 😅 In fact, this is kind of a branch of my main yokai! AU, but without emphasis on modernity. I like to experiment with the OTP's conditions; to speculate how hard the background will prevent the emergence of their love... So hope you and others will find it at least curious :^ (and I’m always ready to clarify something or add details)

Shadow Heir chapters 13 & 14

Chapter 13

“Their names are Isaac and Ivy,” I began.

“Isaac?” he repeated.

“It’s a nice name. A human name.”

“I’m aware. But it’s not the name I’d give to a conqueror of worlds,” explained Dorian. He considered. “I would’ve gone with Thundro or Ragnor. I might just call him Thundro anyway.”

This is exactly my kind of humor.

“Why not?” I asked, never taking my eyes off of Kiyo.

Dorian’s voice was light and easy. “Because I asked him to join us.”

Chapter 13 summary: Everybody is hella angry at Voltage, but they don't say anything. He says that his former queen was strong, but he doubts that even a group of people could hold a spell like this for long. Therefore, the spell must be tied to something physical. Eugenie thinks about the giant, ugly statues that were given to her, and asks Shaya what was given to the queen in return. A vase, and then upon the representative's insistence, a copper plate from the thorn kingdom. And Dorian probably gave something too, but he doesn't care about minor things like a gift exchange. The solution is to go over and destroy the items. However, Voltage isn't much help, and says that part of his time as a spirit means that he cannot cross back into the yew kingdom.

They make plans to go over there. As Roland is leaving, Eugenie tells her step-father that if anything happens to her, then he and Dee need to do whatever they think is best for the twins. However, Roland is of the opinion that if something happens to Eugenie, then he doubts that much would come after him and the twins.

She goes to her other kingdom, where she tries to bond with the land. There, she understands what Dorian and Jasmine were saying: it was a struggle to reach the heart of her land, and even then, everything was in an extreme hibernation mode.

She goes back to the thorn kingdom, where she repeats the bonding, only to find more of the same. Dorian is waiting for her in her room, and asks about the babies. He's unimpressed with the name Isaac, and only just calls him “Thundro”. Eugenie expresses how hard it was for her to leave them, and Dorian promises that they'll try and finish this quickly so that she can get back to her children. Eugenie feels like he's treating her like she's made of glass, and she isn't sure how to deal with that.

They set off the next morning. Kiyo joins them, and Eugenie is more than a little upset over this.

Chapter 14

Kiyo grinned at her. “Butchering. That thing will feed them for weeks.”

Chapter 14 summary: Dorian explains that the time for petty in-fighting is behind them in this blight, and Maiwenn volunteered Kiyo as a scout. Eugenie has to remind them that Kiyo tried to murder her, and Jasmine is right in line behind her sister to kill him, too. Dorian tells them to knock it off.

Kiyo leaves to go scout, but Eugenie doesn't trust him, and sends Voltage to keep an eye on him. Eugenie also expresses how angry she is at Dorian, that he would do something like that without consulting her. Dorian is just disappointed that she thinks that he'd let something happen to her or the babies... But I honestly have little faith in his ability to protect her. Kiyo could still stab her before Dorian could act.

They pass through a village that had once been so tropical and lush with fruit trees year-round that people didn't need to save up for winter. Now, they have nothing. They stop there for the night, but they also have nothing to offer in exchange. A girl comes in to light a fire for them, and Eugenie gives the poor thing an ugly Christmas sweater she'd picked up at a Goodwill in Tucson. Jasmine warns her sister not to get too hung up over individuals; that they're going on this mission to save everybody.

Kiyo comes in, although Eugenie warns him to keep his distance. They naturally argue over her decision to keep the babies. However, Eugenie is quick to remind him that he's the one suggesting that she murder their son, and that he has no right to call Isaac a monster.

They're interrupted by a scream, and run outside to see a yetti-like creature destroying all of the houses. They fight and kill it, although they don't banish it. Hey, at this point, food is food.

Hmm….other than that one self indulgent ship i have of the SDM basically being one big loving poly relationship full of wholesome nights under the stars and latenight group cuddles and story time with Patch….i’m really not too sure… (except maybe Koa..obvs.) Patch would work well with…someone who can do a lot of hard work (because she can’t ..health issues rip.). Someone who see’s things in a similar way, and maybe appreciates how important book work and thinking through situations is compared to simple muscle force…I can’t think of any names, though~ 

Currently I ship Cu Alter with @kiidreamu ‘s OC Yuko. Her attitude toward servants, and her general personality match well with him. (that said, he is, surprisingly laid back for a Berserker…he just follows orders.). I’ve not thought of any other ships, but i’m sure there are plenty. His general calm demeanor but brutal savagery make a nice contrast that could work well… 

A ship with Kiyohime?! It’s more likely than you think. In a familial sense, i’d really love to see her with A Master. Not in a romantic relationship of course (she’s 14!..unless her master is around the same age, i guess?) but in a familal way…like a parental figure, or a big brother / sister figure. Since this Kiyohime is a little canon divergent in how she handles her feelings, but i still think it’d be cute! Seeing her befriend other servants (Especially younger ones like Jack and Nursery Rhyme) would be..adorable!! Thanks to her ‘memories’ of anchin, a ship that could work..someone who’s ‘firey’ like her. Not in a psychical sense though, but in terms of their personality. Someone fiesty, fierce yet protective and not liable to lie. Someone cute and loving who will look after her if she needs protection…at the same time…someone soft and emotional, with a lot of knowledge would be wonderful too…oh but actuallyThe truth is, pretty much anyone is okay so long as they make a good impression…she is easilly smitten. As long as they’re no lying involved, the relationship should work out fine!

Kiyoshi was reading something for the time being but before he got the chance to stand up, he felt some pressure to wrap around his waist. He moves the book away to look seeing his husband. "Is something wrong Kagefumi?" he asked softly seeing he was flushed.

Jun was rinsing some of the soap out of his hair but he rinses off the soap. He was about to turn the water off but stops feeling something hug him. He noticed it was his husband. "Hiruko? Is something wrong love?" he asked.

Chapter 25

“Sorry,” I managed to say to Dorian, just before collapsing.

Chapter 25 summary: Eugenie was pulled to Dorian's castle because of the tether she left with him. She and Jasmine jump to their feet, and Eugenie begs for hospitality just as Kiyo comes barging in. Kiyo demands that Dorian hand over Eugenie, that Dorian stay out of something that has nothing to do with him.

Then the prophet shows up. She gets onto her knees and starts prostrating herself at Eugenie's feet. Says that she knows that Eugenie carries the savior of the world now.

Dorian asks if this is true. Eugenie agrees, and Dorian grants her hospitality, and demands that Kiyo be removed. Dorian goes so far as to wrap Kiyo in a sheet of rock, and orders his guards to kill him if he tries to fight back or changes shape.

Chapter 26

“This is a miracle. This is a prophecy fulfilled.”

They're already acting like the boy is already there. It is literally like... what did they say? A 10 week old fetus.

Lots of things can go wrong in pregnancy and birth that could result in the loss of the fetus/baby.

I looked away, not meeting his eyes—because I had a crazy feeling he was right.

Chapter 26 summary: Eugenie and Dorian sit in another room, and she tells him about the mishap with the antibiotics that canceled out her birth control pills. He's full of regret, stating that if he hadn't lied through omission, then it would be a good chance that the kids would be his. Eugenie feels weird about him saying that, because he doesn't seem to care about Eugenie, or the fact that he lied to her... only just that he wanted to father the prophecy grandson.

Dorian goes on to say some stuff about how giving biological material doesn't make you a father, and how he can declare that the children are his, and not too many people would question it.

He asks why it is that Eugenie decided to keep the babies, even though she'd always said that she'd never wanted kids. She said that it was weird for her to see the ultrasound images of them, to hear their heartbeats. Dorian said that it makes her more like a fairy than human. With that, the third book comes to a close.
