i own a copy! unfortunately it's not currently on my book shelf which means it's in a box with a bunch of other books i had as a kid, and so i cant show it off lol

and i totally get that ive come across it in the wild a few times over the years and every time my brain ceases thinking and just goes !!!!

#but thank you i do wish i could dig out my copy #i also bought the audiobook many a moon ago and every so often i think of returning to it #i used to listen to it while i got ready for work #imagine me in my bedroom spending an hour+ to do a full face of makeup just to go work in a mcdonalds kitchen #with the tabinof audiobook in my headphones #and i think this was pre-haircut so i think i was also straightening and attempting to style my hair #which i would then gather in a bun and shove under a hat #i have gotten off on a tangent now but thank you for thinking of me lol #also tangentially related my local 'bargain outlet' has had like half a dozen copies of the rvb book for years #it startles me every time #somegrumpynerd #ks chats

cutting my own hair is so freeing bc a. i dont have to communicate w the hairdresser what i want (worst part of getting a haircut) and b. i like keeping my hair very short but it grows super fast so being able to cut it frequently and for free is great. plus my hair being too long gives me mad dysphoria so being able to physically hack away at it is very cathartic

contemplating getting the tiktok masc/90s boyband heartthrob/jo from muna haircut rn....

#timestamp is 2:30 in the morning luckily I do not have the guts for kitchen scissors #texting my friends though like “would I look hot with this?”#see I keep my hair as an angled bob hanging at like. my chin. and then I let it grow until it hits my shoulders #at which point I cut it again because after that it starts getting long enough for knots #which is what I try to avoid because I hate hair maintenance #but everytime I get in that chair I have them go shorter like chopping that shit off is addicting #so now..........#problem is that every time I get my haircut I come home and spend the first 24 to 48 hours going ohhh I fucked it up this time #it looks so bad oh god oh fuck #which I think is partially because. the hair stylists wield the straightening iron like a weapon and I never tell them not to do that #even though I hate the look #so I think part of it is just that I don't like my hair straight but like even something about the length it takes a bit to get used to #and I'm like oh it looks dumb this time it really does oh godd #and this is a haircut I've been getting for like. 5 years #so. what kind of anxiety will I get when matching my brother's growing it out phase

I daydream sometimes about being on Queer Eye; having folks help me find new clothes that fit and look good. Learning recipes and exploring what I might like to do as far as home decor. Getting a haircut that looks good and I'm sure Karamo would say like three sentences to me and it'd unlock some inner roadblock I didn't know I had.
