Day 7 - Mind Flayer
With working on the Kuo-Toa previously, I just had to bring in the Big Bads of Abberations - The Illithid, otherwise called the Mind Flayer. These guys are amazing originating from another dimension these creatures traverse the realms causing mayhem all the while increasing thier presence and numbers. Currently in lore the Flayer Empire was broken down their once slaved race The Gith, but even with their empire gone these creatures are a force to be reckon with as many experienced Dnd Players know. As for the fools who take them for granted death is the most peaceful way to go by them.

Day 30 - Tiamat
The final day is finally upon us and seeing that this is a wrap up I had to go with another full portrait and what better to do it on than Dragon Satan herself Tiamat. Anyone who has played Dungeons and Dragons knows and fear the Queen of the Chromatics. Consisting the traits of every Chromatic type to the max, this Goddess would want nothing more than to wipe out all mortals and rule over the Realms. Being the Draconic goddess she is capable of using the breath weapon of every Chromatic with one of her Five Heads.
Wow this was definitely an interesting run. I’m probably going to take a few days off just to take a break and assess what I want to do in the future of me blogs. To those who stuck with me till the end I give you my thanks and here’s to the future ahead of us.

Day 24 - Yeenoghu
So going through the plantiful list of fiends I decided to pick the king of the Gnolls himself Yeenoghu. This Dark Prince of savagery would want nothing more than to slaughter any and everything in its way all with its large carnivorous grin.
So not going to lie color this guy was kind of a pain in the ass simply because I couldn’t decide what to actually go with. Also on a side note my PC that I’ve been trying to piece together is almost doen so hopefully I can go back to my digital drawings.

Day 13 - Beholder
A little late on the post, but another classic Dnd monster. The beholder is a monster that has existed since the early days of Dungeon of Dragons. Armed with its eleven eyes each with a different ray it is one of the more formidable creatures in the monster manual. These creatures are also not fools, in fact they are quite intelligent using their craftiness to trap intruders as well as run criminal organizations.

Hey, just posting to let you guys know I’ll be posting again, just needed a little break after the whole challenge thing. That aside I’ll probably just be posting whatever doodle comes to mind until I come up with some other way to torture myself.
P.S- For anyone who wants to know. This panel is from the comic In Security, which I totally recommend.

Day 27 - Wood Woad
Ok so for the next few days I will be using to fill any creature type quotas that I had missed starting with our current addition the Wood Woad. The creatures were once humanoids who souls were implanted into nature itself whether for means to aid the forest or to follow the bidding of some nefarious druid. As a DM this is another type of creature I love to play with simply because their is so much you can do to flush out their story, sure the attacks are nothing too special but what makes this creature great is thinking of the story of why they are a Wood Woad. Maybe the Woad was a dying druid who wish to give themselves to the forest even after death or maybe those villagers who were missing were captured and taken to become earthly minions, the options are their.

Day 22 - Ancient Bronze Dragon
Found along the coast spending most of it’s days idly watching traveling ships among the sea lies the mighty Bronze Dragon. Being one of the metallic dragons, the Bronze Dragon is in fact good aligned using their power in order to thwart any acts of evil and tyranny in its land. Many sailors have made mandatory to offer tribute to these ancient protectors to keep safe.
So as sorry for the late post I decided to go for a full portrait. It’s definitely was interesting to piece together and it turned out pretty well. Let me know if you want me to try more full designs like this one

Day 21 - Moloch
A former Archdevil, Moloch was exiled from his rule of Malbolge due to being tricked into an attempt to overthrow Asmodeus. Longing to return to his seat of power wiping out scores of Demons in the name of the Nine Hells Moloch has been slowly rebuild his army in order to reclaim his former glory.
So I’ve been caught up with some personal matters so I was late with this post. I’ll try my best to actually post these up in time

Day 20 - Nightwalker
What was once supposed to be a warm summer day, the wind gives a refreshing breeze, the bird chirping in the distance. Until suddenly clouds begin to loom as the ground shakes and you watch in horror as the trees around you begin to shrivel and die, the birds that once sang their happy tune are nothing more and lifeless husks and as your life essence begins to drain away, the last thing you witness this humanoid figure the size of a house walks straight through the catastrophe at hand.
The Nightwalker is definitely one of my favorite creature to be brought back with Tome of Foes. Formed when an individual is foolish enough to enter the negative plane, this undead goliath cares for nothing more than to suck the life energy from anything and everything around it. These creature are great as either a BBEG trump card as the party has to make the choice of either going after the mastermind or stopping the Nightwalker from wiping out all in its wake.
So on a side note, I think I’m getting the hang of these alcohol markers when it comes to blending. Hopefully with a bit more practice I can star going a bit more complex.

Day 9 - The Lonely
Oh Lonely, oh Lonely why are you so sad. If it wasn’t obvious the Lonely is a very tragic creature. As one of the Sorrowsworn, the lonely is made when an unlucky creature is left in isolation within the Shadowfell. Forever yearning for the need for companionship these creatures tend to take it a little too far as their most common reaction when finding another creature in its sights usually involves impaling them with their harpoon arm and dragging their traumatized victim towards them.

Day 6 - Kuo-Toa Priest
Finally back together again I swear for a bit I was actually starting to feel like Fish Boy here. Anyway a brief synopsis of our derpy friend the Kuo-Toa. A race of humanoid fish people who were ruled over by Mind Flayers, the Kuo-Toa were driven into their current state due to their Illithid rulers. In all honesty that may have been for the best as these creatures have the ability to create Gods through the simple power of belief and the though of a fully capable Kuo-Toa seems terrifying.
Finally here after the wait, thanks for putting up with my Bull. Also be prepared for the Post Dump coming in in a bit.

Haven’t posted in a bit and wanted to shoot out one of my quick doodles. This one in particular is from a project I’m working on.
Meet Dorothy Briggs or Dolly from her coworkers. Dolly works as a medical examiner for a secret organization.
She’s a pretty laid back individual for the most part only really being motivated when an opportunity to use one of her miracle cures occur with the patient usually being some poor employee with a cold.
Ever since her employment use of facility sick days have been at an all time low.

Day 29 - Oblex Spawn
Going into the second to last day we have myooze entry the Oblex Spawn. Definitely my favorite addition from Mordenkaidens Tome of Foes, the Oblex Spawn was once a simple ooze before the Mindflayers took had their way with them creating the monstrosity you see before you. Unlike most oozes the Oblex comes with the twisted ability to become its victims in order to conceal themselves along with lure potential victims.
So for anyone wondering who the human is in the pic he was actually a character from an adventure I was a player in... safe to say I didn’t like him.

Day 28 - Jaculi
Sorry for posting another last design but you know how it is with life. For my beast concept I decided to with Jaculi, the spring snake. Now this creature may not be much but it holds a personal spot for me as they were the first creature to put my sword coast party against. These massive snakes sprig themselves towards enemies in order to deal even more damage as well as pin their pray.

Day 26 - Zariel
The Archduchess of Avernus, The Fallen Solar, Champion of Asmodeus. Zariel is one of those characters who backstory I absolutely love. Once a Solar of Celestia, Zariel was given the task to watch the wars in Avernus but as she continued to venture the celestial slowly but surely corrupted until eventually becoming a war loving monster. Asmodeus saw her strength and placed her as the Archduchess of the entirety of Avernus and giving Bel the original ruler the boot.
Ok so today I had a couple of cool characters to work with, but I did want to push myself a bit in order to do something different so I decided to go with Zariel for an attempt to make wings.

Day 25 - Marut
So going with the ONLY creature to be in 5th editions CR 25 bracket is the Marut. This hulking construct is essentially a super weapon that will complete anything it is contracted to do. The creature is actually very weird since it can never miss an attack though at the cost of a set amount of damage. Looking at this thing it is by far the oddest creature that I’ve seen in this challenge so far.
