Kirby Star Stacker on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System!!!!! These illustrations r killing my markers lol. Here's the game's intro, the rest of this illustration series will be more cutscene redraws like I did with Gameboy Star Stacker.

Mr. Star is an alien from another galaxy I think, and he is very lightweight but also very rigid, and built for high speed interstellar travel. In terms of size he's kinda just like a little doll though! He also has 2 forms; aura and no aura. His 'aura' is his power source, and it was shattered when Dedede shot him with a cannon lol.

before you ask, I don't actually know why Dedede's castle is under construction-- it's really obvious in the game's cutscenes that it's being fixed but I don't think they ever say why??? Similarly, I don't know why Kirby has a tipi in the last image; that's just there in the cutscene as well?

I think what I'll do is, I'll post both my Waddle Dee drawings tomorrow, then put these daily Kirby drawings on hold until November. Hope you're excited for Insektober (I am)!!!!

Oh I love these little guys! How fun :D There was so much more love put into the Super Game Boy borders than there ever needed to be and I am SO THANKFUL for it ^^ In fact let's take a look at some of the best ones now because someone amazing documented them all!!

forgotten kirby facts 112 - some of the art for kirbys star stacker was notably altered for the international release, consisting of an healthier take on the jelly filled donut, the removal of a photo reel effect (justifiedly for getting more cartridge space for the larger english text), and kirby not being allowed to cry.

forgotten kirby facts 106- kirby dreamland 2, kirby block ball and kirby star stacker were all designed with utilizing the super gameboy adapter cartridge to add color and borders to the games (DL2 and stacker also would gain new sound effects), this feature was not implemented in the games later online rerelases, the 66th volume of the electronic gaming monthly magazine also included a photo of an earlier version of KDL2s border, as did the 30th volume of the nintendo magazine system in the UK.

kirby dreamland and pinball land could also get a special pallette through using the super gameboy, as tilt n tumble was made for the gameboy color, its fully incompatible with the device.
